Prologue, Part 6: Shifting Feelings & Magnified Emotions! Lucy's New Style & Mai's Scheme of Revenge
Mai entered a clothing store in Magnolia Town with a slight frown on her face while Minako followed her into the store, and both girls were looking for new clothes to wear. Mai was specifically looking for a new dress that she could wear to a graduation party where she'd be the hostess. Mai felt like she would have the host the party tonight, since yesterday's tense situation with Lucy resulted in her dress getting ripped to where it couldn't be returned for a even a small refund of jewels. Having to spend money on a new dress made Mai feel upset, as she had perceived her previous dress to be quite beautiful.
She hoped that her next dress could be just as pretty, and Mai's feet walked across the dark red carpet that complimented the store's scarlet red walls. The beautiful-looking store had its dresses located on a rack that was near the ruby red counter, and Mai had to go all the way to the back of the store to reach that rack. Once she was near the long rack of dresses, Mai moved some of the gaudy dresses aside to try finding a dress that looked much better. even frowning at how one of the dresses had pink fur on its black straps, and her purple eyes soon became filled with the feeling of joy from seeing a stylish dress.
The dress that Mai took off of the rack was in the color of orchid purple while it appeared to have small ruffles at the bottom, and the dress even had a dark purple rhombus in the middle to make it look quite fancy. Mai held the fancy dress over her black crop top that matched the black leather booty shorts and violet high-heeled shoes that she wore, seeing it to be in her size, and she stretched her hands outward to look at the back of the dress. This side of the dress simply showed Mai that there were no straps, which made this be a strapless dress, and there seemed to be amethyst purple ruffles that weren't spread outward at all.
Mai proceeded to gently stretch out the ruffles towards her, allowing her to nicely smile from seeing the ruffles cover the very bottom of the dress to where they'd be in front of Mai's knees, and she didn't have any wavering thoughts on whether or not she should purchase the dress. Mai would gladly buy it, since it would show off her beauty at the party tonight. Being beautiful at the party also made Mai start to have a serious facial expression, since she glanced down at her shoes for a moment while thinking about how they needed to be in a pink color, and Mai wanted her fashionable preparations to be prioritized over her scheme right now. Of course, even subtle thoughts about it couldn't leave her mind.
"Minako, what should we do about Lucy Heartfilia?" Mai asked her friend in a calm tone while frowning, remembering how she had to see her dress be torn so easily by that younger student.
Mai got to see Minako reply with a puzzled facial expression, not sure about what Mai wanted to do for revenge, "In terms of Lucy, it's a bit surprising that you seem to not have a plan for that. She made someone as relaxed as you not be so calm yesterday, Mai, and wearing those clothes in public had to be humiliating."
That prompted Mai to respond in a pleased manner, as her smile displayed that Minako unintentionally gave her some inspiration, "Minako, you might have just given me a nice idea. In fact, it might be so nice to where Lucy won't even be aware of the prank until it happens."
Minako gave Mai a very curious look, before Mai went to go pay for the dress, and she wondered what Mai was planning to do. She kept her eyes on Mai to see her hand at least seven-thousand jewels to a male cashier who had dark red hair in a moptop hairstyle, and watching Mai walk away from the person who was putting her dress in a red shopping bag made Minako wonder if Mai was going to make Lucy wear a gaudy outfit or something. Even if Mai forced Lucy to wear an ugly-looking dress, only the most fashionable people in town would ridicule her for it.
Minako didn't remember anything involving Mai asking Lucy to be around fashionable people, so she just seemed confused about why Mai was walking back to the dresses. Minako watched Mai get a plain pink dress out of its coat hanger, before getting it off the rack, and the pink dress had a magenta pink sash around the waist area while the ruffles appeared to be down at the thigh area of the dress. That dress wasn't the only piece of clothing that Mai would pick out, however. She went over to some underwear that was on its own rack, quickly picking out bubblegum pink underwear that had hot pink lace trimming on its edges, and the design on the front of the underwear featured five pink hearts in an area designed to look like the lower half of a white cloud with a cherry red bow in front of it.
That particular underwear had a bubblegum pink bra to match it, which Mai found from the nearby rack that had bras on it. The bra had three hearts and the half of the cloud design on the top halves of the cups, along with a cherry red bow in the center of the two cups. The cuteness of the bra and underwear caused Mai to simply smile at all of the clothes she had picked out for her scheme, before going back to the cashier with a rude smirk on her face. Mai continued to smirk while putting the clothes down on the counter, and she took out at least twelve-thousand jewels from the left pocket of her shorts. As Mai put the money on the counter, she began to softly giggle at a thought that appeared in her mind.
"Lucy, I hope you'll be glad to know that I'm apparently being very nice to you. In fact, I'll even make that niceness seem authentic." Mai thought to herself while feigning a smile of genuine niceness on her face, almost like this joke would be enjoyable.
Mai turned around to ask Minako, who walked up to the counter with a calm facial expression while the pink clothes were put in a separate shopping bag, "You wanted us to have lunch together at the coffee shop in Kōhī Town later and shop for shoes there, right?"
Minako replied to Mai with a nice smile on her face, glad that Mai appeared to also like that idea, "Yes, that's right. Mai, I'm glad that you're agreeing to the idea and we can go to the party later like we're a couple to-"
"Save that last part for later, Minako. Right now, I just want to tell you that taking a piece of paper from the coffee shop may be a good idea. Trust me, you'll see my cleverness later if everything connects in the way that I hope it'll all connect." Mai told Minako with a scheming smirk on her face, as she put a finger to her friend's lips.
Minako started to look a bit doubtful towards Mai, since her plan now seemed to be somewhat dependent on everything luckily working out in the way she wanted it to. That wasn't usually like Mai, almost as if she was wanting risks to be involved with her detailed plan, and she was definitely seeming like she had to take risks now in her revenge prank against Lucy. Minako wondered if this new prank had to do with Lucy being bold enough to cut through Mai's clothes just as much as it had to do with the dress itself getting torn, since it did seem crazy for a graduate like Mai to be at the mercy of an underclassman nearly cutting her skin.
Mai actually walked out of the store with a petty facial expression from thinking about that, feeling very angry that a lowly person such as Lucy nearly left a horrible wound on her beautiful skin, and the fact that Lucy picked up a sharp piece of glass made Mai feel like Lucy must've been trying to restrain herself from letting her emotions fuel a possible desire to kill Mai. If Lucy truly did have any thoughts about ending Mai's life, then Mai felt like it would be good for her to strike first in this conflict. After all, she wouldn't let herself be harmed by someone like Lucy.
From Mai's perspective, Lucy was just a loser who gave her pleasure from stupidly believing that they were in a real relationship. If Lucy was stupid enough to fall for that, then Mai thought that Lucy would be dumb enough to fall for her new plan. Mai even smiled in a vicious manner at her plan while her eyes were filled with the feeling of sadism from how she assumed that Lucy must've felt very emotional from suddenly experiencing the feeling of heartbreak, and Mai simply giggled with joy from how she'd get to spend one last day playing with Lucy's emotions.
Six hours later, at Lucy's apartment...
Lucy laid in bed with a depressed look on her face, feeling very sad from the fact of how she let her personal treasure be stolen by Mai so very easily, and she wouldn't be able to make Mai get it back for her. The older woman had told Lucy that she was never valued by her, only being used as a tool that could temporarily be of use to Mai, and the feeling of being thrown out like worthless trash by someone who she cared for had really made Lucy feel pain near her heart. She felt so heartbroken, experiencing the pain of her emotions also being pushed to stressful levels, and Lucy tried to just relax for the pain to hopefully lessen.
Relaxing in the bed wasn't making the emotional pain subside, however, and Lucy closed her eyes while looking frustrated at how she let herself fall for Mai's false promises of helping her retrieve the treasure. Lucy frowned in a very frustrated manner from disliking how she allowed herself to put her faith in Mai, trusting her actions so easily without any doubts, and Lucy's eyes began to show the feeling of regret from how she wished that her personal treasure had never been found on their first date. Lucy thought that if she never found it, then Mai would've never been able to steal it from her. From Lucy's perspective, getting pranked without experiencing theft and shock would've been better than the recent circumstances.
Speaking of the recent situations, Lucy tossed and turned in her bed while looking out at the window that had previously been open. She thought about how that window was slightly open during the night where she and Mai chose to have sex, and Lucy wondered how Mai found the time to possibly escape through that window without even making a single sound after they both seemed exhausted from their lovemaking. Lucy soon couldn't believe that someone was knocking on her apartment's door, hearing them knock softly, and that made her get out from under the pink comforter. Lucy got out of bed, before going into the living room, and she went over to the front door.
"What do you want?" Lucy asked in a calm, yet saddened manner as she slightly opened the door to see Minako standing in front of her with Kanami by her side.
Minako explained to Lucy with a kind smile on her face, seeming very sincere as she held a pink box in her hands, "Hi, Lucy. All I want is to apologize for Mai, since she's unable to be here right now. Even though she's busy, she said that she wanted you to have something as compensation for dealing with her performance yesterday."
"Performance?" Lucy asked Minako with a confused facial expression, before looking at Kanami.
Kanami informed Lucy with an apologetic look on her face, as she wanted to state things in a sensible way, "Mai probably didn't let you in on her secret, but acting very sadistic has been one of her weaker points in acting. Mai thought that her weak point could be improved by testing out some sadistic and rude behavior towards you, since you're so used to her jokes. In fact, she even got you a gift putting up with the joke when-"
At that moment, Lucy's eyes both twitched in a shocked and enraged manner. She felt angry to where she wanted to loudly scream, due to how her relationship with Mai now changed from Mai admitting that it was fake to the craziness of how Mai's actions were all part of practical joke that she played on her girlfriend. Lucy didn't find it funny at all, really disliking how Mai made the breakup seem so real for the sole purpose of improving her acting skills. Lucy thought that if Mai wanted to get better at acting, then communicating about the joke beforehand would've been nice.
Lucy wondered if Mai didn't tell her about this because of how it would result in Lucy having to act out emotions of being saddened or hurt with immense authenticity, but Lucy didn't consider herself to be a bad actress. Her acting would only be bad if she couldn't make Mai believe that her feelings seemed genuine, but Lucy's crushed feelings were absolutely sincere. Still, she began to narrow her eyes at how Mai was insincere for lying to her about who could've stolen the treasure. That matter wouldn't be disclosed to Minako and Kanami, since they were only here to drop off Mai's gift to Lucy.
Lucy took the box from Minako's hands, and she bowed politely at the older woman. Minako wore pink jeans that matched her blood red flat shoes, and the midriff shirt that she wore was in a pastel pink color. Kanami's T-shirt was in an amethyst purple color, matching her orchid purple skirt that had a design of plan purple swirls on it, and Kanami wore some flat shoes that were in the shade of grape purple. She glanced down at how Lucy was barefoot, only wearing her pink pajamas, and Kanami soon saw Lucy close the door before locking it.
After opening the box with one hand to see some pink clothes that were quite cute, Lucy thought to herself with an astounded facial expression, "Mai, you had the nerve to buy me some clothes? Are you just purchasing things as a way to mentally torture me about my treasure?"
Upon seeing a light brown piece of paper in the box, Lucy picked it up to silently read its contents that were written in Mai's handwriting while Mai seemed to have been cheerful, "Hello, Lucy! It's me, Mai! I want to tell you that I'm truly sorry about tricking you yesterday, since I was only acting for you to give me an opinion on how I portrayed myself. That was selfish of me, and I shouldn't have hurt your feelings. You ended up buying me a gift that got broken, so here are some clothes that you'll like. They're my way of apologizing, especially since I'd love for us to get back together at my party tonight. Please come to the party, Lucy! Love, Mai."

She put the note back in the box, before taking out the pink dress that came with a bra and some underwear. Lucy looked down at the matching set of undergarments while blushing light pink at how she didn't normally wear bras or underwear with seemingly sexual designs, and she chose to put them down on the nearby couch. The house was a plain green building made from bricks of that color while the pitched roof was in a pale shade of green, and Lucy gently knocked on the door for one of the guests to let her come in. Upon stepping into the house that had an emerald green carpet with forest green walls matching some of the jade green furniture in the living room, Lucy smiled nicely from seeing different things happening at the party.
She glanced at the nearby kitchen to see the graduate students and guests drinking bottles of cola or beer, as well as getting plates of food that would be placed on the kitchen's counters for people to eat some appetizers. Lucy proceeded to walk to the kitchen while she hoped to find Mai there, but she merely ran into the sight of Naomi taking out some grape purple bottles of alcohol from the black fridge. Naomi placed those bottles in between some plates of sushi, before giving Lucy a seemingly playful smile, and but she soon looked worried from how a sushi roll nearly fell from a plate for its orange sauce to almost land on her pumpkin orange high-heeled shoes.
Naomi simply gave Lucy a sheepish look from how her alcohol bottles had lightly bumped the plate for that happen, thinking that a graduate from Magnolia Academy wouldn't have done something that was almost very klutzy. As Naomi glanced down at her orange T-shirt that complimented her plain orange skirt that had dark orange stripes on it, Lucy merely turned around for a moment. She didn't see Mai walking by her in an teempt to surprise her from behind, and Minako also wasn't in the living room. That prompted Lucy to leave this area, and she walked down a nearby hallway.
Lucy stopped at one of the rooms to just see people having a conversation while they sat on the bed, but neither of those people were Mai. Lucy glanced at the adjacent room to see Kanami walking out to a side area of the patio, which made Lucy seem curious enough to follow her out of the house, and she got to see a few people either sitting or standing around while they ate rice balls or bowls of spicy ramen that were purchased for the party. Lucy picked up a rice ball from the table where they were in a dark green bowl, and the sound of her liking the appetizer's salty flavor caught Kanami's attention for her to turn around.
"Hey, Lucy. It's good that you decided to show up." Kanami told Lucy with a kind smile on her face, as she heard some music start to be played inside the house.
Lucy replied while smiling happily, before asking Kanami a crucial question, "Yeah, it seems like Mai threw a decent party. Speaking of her, where is Mai?"
"Mai's actually waiting for you in her room, Lucy. Go back into the house, and go down the hallway to reach a doorway that will lead you to the part of the house where Mai's room is located. You won't be able to miss her room, Lucy." Kanami explained to her with a calm facial expression, hoping that she was giving Lucy very simple directions.
Lucy merely bowed her head in a polite manner to show Kanami that she was grateful, before running back into the house, and Lucy maintained her happy smile. That facial expression definitely contrasted with how Kanami started to smile in a rude manner, and she pulled out her rectangular blue cell phone. Kanami touched the phone's screen to access her list of contacts, before texting information to Mai about how Lucy was now here, and Kanami instantly sent the message to her friend. That message was immediately replied to, and Kanami slightly smirked at the contents of it.
Mai only responded with a photo of herself in a dark room while she wore her purple dress, the only other source of light being someone familiar who wore a hot pink dress to this party, and Kanami soon received a text message where Mai claimed that she would love to make Lucy feel like surprised tonight. Kanami started to look curious, which prompted her to quickly follow Lucy back inside the house, and she watched the blonde-haired girl leave the bedroom that led outside. Kanami got to see Lucy go into a nearby bathroom, and she opened a dark green cabinet that resembled the makeup cabinet Lucy had in her own apartment.
Lucy recalled how Mai used her lipstick on the night where they had sex, which made Lucy feel like she could kindly borrow her girlfriend's fashionable items in return, and Lucy decided to open a lipstick dispenser that contained some lipstick that was in a ruby shade of red, and she liked how the lipstick had the odd scent of cherry blossoms mixed with the aroma of actual cherries. The scent didn't seem like it belonged to perfume, but Lucy simply thought that Mai wanted to put this shade of lipstick over another color that didn't match her nice lips. In fact, she hoped to make the sweet-scented lipstick be near Mai's face for when they'd almost kiss.
"Mai may want to get back together, but she won't be getting any kisses from me until she gets my treasure back from the jewelry store." Lucy thought to herself with a somewhat stern look on her face, wanting to set some boundaries in her seemingly repaired relationship.
Lucy got to hear Kanami ask her with a calm facial expression, as the violet-haired girl put her phone in front of Lucy's face for her to see a new photo of Mai looking impatient, "If it's not too trouble for you, Lucy, can you go talk to Mai already instead of making her wait on you?"
That made Lucy reply in a comically annoyed manner, as she was snapped out of her thoughts, "If she's waiting on me, then I hope she can also wait to do other things after we have a very long discussion about something very important."
Before Kanami could ask Lucy about the specific details of that important conversation, she watched Lucy hastily leave the bathroom. Lucy left that room to now be in the hallway, before going all the way down to a doorway, and she turned left to go through another doorway. The second doorway brought Lucy to some dark green doors on the left and right sides of the newest hallway that she encountered, and Lucy could hear people enjoying their different kinds of fun activities in different rooms. Minako's face blushed more pink while she leaned forward to possibly kiss Lucy, but she soon let out some sounds of mean-spirited laughter.
"Lucy, are you really that in love with Mai to where she'll believe whatever she tells you? Well, aren't you quite emotional?" Minako asked her with a rude smile of total disbelief on her face, as she lightly grabbed Lucy's wrists.
Mai replied for Lucy with a sadistic smirk on her face, as she pulled out her rectangular black cell phone from one pocket of her dress, "Minako, she's wanting to be with me so badly to where she wouldn't even think that my claims of yesterday's breakup being a joke would ever be false. Lucy's just so easily to manipulate. In fact, she's about to feel utter humiliation."
"Humiliation? Is.. that.. why you.. got me this... tight bra and underwear?" Lucy asked Mai in a soft whisper, as she tried to calm down the pleasure that she still felt throughout her body.
Mai responded to Lucy with a vicious smile on her face, as she pressed a button on her phone for the camera to activate, "Yes, little Lucy. That tight outfit will keep squeezing your body until you have to tear it off, just like how you ripped off part of my dress. Lucy, it was horrible for you to do something so evil and you nearly cut me like an abusive bitch. I can't let you get away with that, sweetie. This vengeful prank was necessary. Now, I hope you'll be kind enough to smile at how you look like Magnolia Academy's newest official slut."
Lucy gasped in shock at how Mai would make her look like a slut, but Minako pinned her down and even gave Lucy a passionate kiss on the lips. Lucy tried to resist the urge of kissing back, only to feel Minako's fingers push past some walls in her vagina to push much deeper than before, and Lucy couldn't clench her teeth or bite her lip fast enough to avoid pleasure overtaking her again. She succumbed to the pleasure that came from Minako's kiss, even moving her legs around as Minako's breasts came down to gently touch her body, and Lucy slowly closed her eyes while feeling Minako aggressively pull her fingers out of her vagina.
That made Lucy open her eyes in a pained manner, blushing more as she watched Minako stay down on her to try and relax her body. Lucy soon felt relaxed enough to smile at Minako in an appreciative manner, which was the moment for Mai to start taking pictures with her phone, and she even took one photo when Minako kissed Lucy's neck to make her nearly moan. As Lucy was about to let out a soft gasp, Minako put her warm and wet fingers into Lucy's hair for her to have the juices in it. This humiliation made Lucy feel many emotions right now, and small tears formed in her eyes from falling for a second prank from Mai.
Not only was their relationship a very horrible prank for Lucy to deal with, but she had now been tricked into have consensual sex with Minako. Lucy started to look at Mai with a panicked facial expression, guessing that she wasn't going to save all of those photos for herself to see. Lucy attempted to get out of the bed to reach the phone, only to have Minako pin her down while making her body not have as much tension for her to crush Lucy beneath her. Lucy continued to cry while being pinned down, unable to stop Mai again, and she watched Mai's lips form a malicious grin at how she pushed a button on her phone to send the photos to everyone who had been on her phone's list of contacts. Upon seeing that happen, Lucy's eyes could only widen in pure shock and horror at how she could hear many of the party's guests receiving notifications on their phones. Their seemingly stunned reactions could be heard from this room, making Lucy now feel angered enough to overpower Minako, but Mai kept her in the room by grabbing Lucy's arm to nearly dislocate her shoulder. Since Lucy was a bit distracted by the pain, Mai quickly went away on to her bed to get the pink dress that Lucy wore. Instead of letting Lucy leave fully clothed after humiliation, Mai smiled in a devious way as she ripped its fabric into pieces right in front of Lucy's eyes that were filled with sadness, shock, and other emotions that made her body tremble. In fact, she trembled so much to where she could only run away to open the door and try to leave the party with Mai choosing to chase after her for more sadistic fun.
How was Chapter 6 of the prologue? This sixth chapter of the prologue displayed how Lucy's feelings towards Mai are quite unstable after the breakup, especially with how she gave in to Mai presenting a false glimmer of hope for them to get back together in what Lucy believed to be a real relationship, and finding out that Mai stole her treasure also made Lucy's feelings towards Mai overtake any rational decisions such as the option of not attending the graduation party at all. By the way, the next chapter will be the final chapter of the prologue. I'll update as soon as possible. :)
