Part 6 - The Baptist and Tries
Today was the day of Jasmine's christening cermony and naming cermony of Jasmine getting her Quileute name aswell. Something that was not done very often since many had modernised it to be just a christening cermony where they would baptist their child with an english speaking name and that was it, but those who chose to do it in traditional way, would be honoured and very loved by the tribe by having their name in Quileute language, which was a very beautiful language, both Bella and Paul had learn it without trouble, could go back and forth if necessary, which made them honourable members for the the older people who spoke very little to none english for they only spoke Quileute felt at ease of them talking to them and helping them out when necessary.
At 1 PM the christening cermony was to begin, and the two stood with Emily and Sam, as chosen god-parents of little Jasmine, but also the unknown were Rosalie and Emmett, the two knew their role was hidden and should stay that way until something happen to Emily and Sam who had first ching on being god-parents to Jasmine,and the two had nothing against that at all. The christian name was chosen to be Jasmine Maria Lahote, daugther of Isabella Marie and Paul Levi Marcus Lahote. Bella just smiled through emotional tears down her cheeks as the priest christen her daugther into the faith of the church of catholic orthodox era. Paul had pride and love on his face for his daugther's christening, and held an arm around Bella's waist, as they stood by and watch her being baptisted. Others in the public were in awe and love for this little one. Carlisle and Esme stood by the tree-line watching it all go on with some anger and tredipitation.
Soon after the shaman of the tribe came forward as soon the christening was over for Jasmine's and it was no other Old Quil who came forward and stood before Paul and Bella, who gave him a smile, as he smiled back, as he said in loud, clear voice
"So this is little Jasmine, who will today be honoured and honour our tribe with a Quileute name of her own?" At that both of them nodded with smiles on their faces, as he too nodded, then said
"Today we are going to honour another child into the tribe with her own name of our language, Quileute, that has been around for many years back, and to hear that her parents, Paul and Isabella, wants to do this, is the biggest honour and firmest to do, so Paul, Isabella have you chosen a name for your daugther to have?"
Paul said in clear voice, holding Isabellas waist, she held Jasmine in her arms
"Yes, we have. Her name has been chosen to "Moon Star" , as she was born under full moon night with stars around the moon." Making many of the elder people gasped of the name they had given their daugther, and why they given her that name. Old Quil smiled happily, and said
"Then her name in Quileute will be honoured and written in our books so everyone who comes after us when we had died of old age, to see who was who in our tribe and their names both the english and Quileute names will be written in the book. Welcome to our tribe, little "Moon Star, daugther of Paul and Isabella Lahote."
Bella smiled as she held her daugther tighter to herself, and Paul wrapped an arm around her waist and held them tighter to himself, as they all could feel the magic and wind arise around them and accepting little Jasmine too into the tribe. Then it was over with, the whole cermony was over and they could now go back to the house of Sue Clearwater, who had given permission to have her house to be used as the place of eating and drinking for little Jasmine's perfect ceremony which went without a hitch or problems.
Rose came soon after up to the two and smiling, said
"Wow what a beautiful cermony, and the name you gave what was that?" Paul said with smile of his own;
"Her name in quileute you mean? (Nods from Rose, Em and even their "parents") Her name is Moon Star, as she was born under full moon and stars surrounding it."
"What a pretty and perfect name for little Jasmine then." Emmett said with a giant smile, as he looked down at what was his secretive god-daugther, Rose also had her own smile on her lips. Bella and Paul just smiled and thanked them as the two excused themselves as the two needed to go and hunt so they went off taking the parents with them. Everyone seems to relax after they had left. Old Quil came up and gave them a package, as he said
"This is a cermonial gift of myself and my late wife, Molly, who was your great-aunt, Bella. Molly was Geoffrey Swan's little sister, and she and I got married years ago, and had many years together before her death about 15 years ago. I wished that you got to know her and met her, Bella, but I know in spirit she is here and she will protect your daugther as much we all can from today."
Bella looked shocked but happy tears down her cheeks of his story to her, and Paul was emotional of the story as he and the rest of the pack did not know full story of who Molly Aterea was and who she was related to, was abit of a shock to them all. Paul's parents who was here and alive were also the kindest people to know, and they also came up with their own gift for their first grandchild had been born and christen and named after a quileute name, just like Paul had been as child, his name was Wolf Heart, and Bella got hers when he imprinted on Bella months ago, and she had hers named Thunder Heart Woman, as she was like thunder when pissed and had the biggest purest heart of them all too.
The gifts that had been gifted to their daugther was a blanket that was pure white with some pearls inbedded in the blanket from Quil and Molly, and from the grandparents, Jasmine was gifted with a mug of her full name including the Quileute name on it aswell her date of birth on it with weight and height.
Many more came forward with gifts of their own, including a teddy wolf and few more clothes and other essitienals for little Jasmine. Bella and Paul was greatful for all the gifts that Jasmine and themselves had been given. Carlisle and Esme had tried to get back on the lands, as they had wanted to kidnap both Bella and Jasmine from the lands, but the wolves who was at the treaty line to keep up the patrol, had stopped every move they had tried to do, while Sam had learned about it and was quite pissed off, only Emily kept him calm for now at least. But he had tell Paul and Bella very soon as the celebrations was over for the day.
After 7 PM, all guests were gone and Sam called for a pack meeting, Jacob was still banned from joining and was also banned for a month of phasing in and had to stay at home too today, so nothing he said or tried do was a distraction or hurtful in any ways, Billy was pissed off that his own son couldnt come but he could.
Anyways, Sam told the parents what had gone on in the background of the celebrations and Bella was frighten, while Paul was furious, but was calm when he saw his daugther in Bellas arms and just held the two in his arms, kept him calm to know they both are here and would be here for life. Bella was more frighten over the fact that her daugther was in danger of the wayward Cullens and she texted Rose about it, who answered with anger behind her words back to Bella and told her that no matter what she and Emmett would stand by them and help to keep them safe. Bella and Paul was grateful for it, so was the rest of the pack. Jacob had to accept it no matter what, when it was brought up on next pack meeting at Sam and Emily's house.
