Mycroft was waiting outside the door of his favourite club. He wasn't even supposed to be there but Lestrade for some reason had asked to meet there early and he didn't want to disobey his boyfriend. He just hoped nothing was wrong or it wasn't anything serious. Lestrade normally doesn't take any time out of his day to see him! He received a text.
"Where are you? L" The text read.
"I'm waiting for you and you're taking ages!" Mycroft responded.
There was no reply but mycroft knew Lestrade would be there in the next few minutes. After receiving a text like that, Lestrade wouldn't dump him like the last few times they had said they would meet up.
"So you came then." Lestrade said, coming up on Mycroft.
"You said it was important. Can't just leave that message alone." Mycroft sighed.
Lestrade looked around which was never a good sign. Mycroft looked in the direction he was looking but couldn't see anything. Lestrade was just being paranoid by the looks of it. Mycroft had had enough of standing out in the cold so took Lestrade inside to get warm again.

Sherlock was thumping his bow from his violin against his armchair. He had been doing this since the wedding had ended. Something was bothering him, that's what Mrs Hudson had told Watson. Watson had just put it off to Sherlock being bored from no cases at the moment. He had still come to visit him however, just on the off chance Mrs Hudson was right.
"Sherlock." Watson said from the door frame.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with Mary?" Sherlock turned a bit surprised to see John in front of him.
"I'm not allowed to check on my best friend anymore then?!" Watson chuckled.
Sherlock thought about this, he then let Watson sit down. Watson sat down with a sigh waiting for Sherlock to join him. Sherlock didn't though and continued to walk around the room.
"Apparently something is bothering you. Mrs Hudson is getting worried." Watson told Sherlock trying not to get dizzy from him keeping walking.
"She's worrying unnecessarily." Sherlock muttered.
"That's what I thought but since the wedding something has been different about you."
"Like what?!"
Watson knew this would get his attention. Nothing had really changed and Sherlock was still his old self. Maybe even more bored than usual. He just needed a case, wherever Lestrade was these days!
"Nothing. Just thought it would get you to concentrate." Watson crossed his arms.
"Well now you've got me worried."
"Unnecessarily."
Sherlock rolled his eyes as sirens raced past like every other day. The blue lights flashed against the window drawing Watson's attention also. True it was mostly to see what Sherlock was thinking.
"Any idea where Lestrade is?"

Mycroft gave Lestrade the drink he had ordered. Lestrade still didn't look calm even though they were inside. Mycroft was a little worried by this since Lestrade had dealt with a lot of things being a detective inspector. Mycroft sat across from Lestrade ready to get the low down.
"So are you going to tell me what's going on?" Mycroft finally asked.
"It's work." Lestrade said, shaking a little.
"What about it? It's not bothering you right?" Mycroft raised an eyebrow.
"It's not exactly the work aspect. It's the people in it."
Mycroft knew exactly who he was talking about. True it could be either of two people.
"It's Anderson." Lestrade blurted.
"Well that was on my list." Mycroft smirked.
Lestrade smirked back. It seemed sometimes that Mycroft could read his mind. It wasn't only Lestrade who got tired of Anderson. Half of Scotland Yard, Sherlock and even Mycroft was bored of him.
"What's he done now?"
"He is trying to work with me all the time! I mean he won't leave me alone!"
"So that's who you were looking out for earlier."
"Yeah. that and Sherlock because Anderson probably would have told him."
"So you came to see me, just to get away from Anderson? You know he's on your team right?" Mycroft huffed.
"Yes I am very well aware. I just need to stay here for a bit and hopefully Anderson will give up and leave me alone." Lestrade calmed a little since telling Mycroft his news.
"Right. Won't Donovan wonder where you are?"
"Oh she knows. It's just Anderson that doesn't."
Mycroft kept back a chuckle at this. Before the two could talk any further, Lestrade's phone buzzed. Mycroft was a little bit miffed by this as he wanted Lestrade all to himself but let Lestrade answer it.
"Who is it?" Mycroft sighed, taking a sip of his drink.
"John. Sherlock is going mad apparently."
"What's new! Is that all he said?"
Lestrade took a further look at his phone. Three missed calls from Donovan and another missed call from Sherlock. At least there wasn't anything from Anderson he thought. He put the phone away and took a sip of his own drink before standing. Mycroft was puzzled as to why he did this.
"I thought you were staying." Mycroft questioned.
"I was going to but with Sherlock and John calling me non stop, I suppose I'd better answer them." Lestrade admitted.
"I wish you could stay."
"You're not the only one. I owe you a date though."
"You owe me about seven actually. Make sure you remember that."
Lestrade nodded and blew a kiss in Mycroft's direction. Mycroft watched as Kestrade left. All their dates these days seemed to go wrong. This one was no different apparently. That's what you get for dating a police officer he thought. He finished his drink and then went to read the paper.

Lestrade finally made his way to the apartment. He found Mrs Hudson waiting for him at the door with it open. He looked around just to make sure no police cars had been called to a crime scene. He wouldn't be surprised if something had happened and a crime had happened.
"Are you waiting for me Mrs Hudson?" Lestrade smiled as he approached.
"Waiting for someone to go and sort those two out!" Mrs Hudson yelled up the stairs obviously aimed at Sherlock.
"What have they done now?" Lestrade tried to calm her down.
Mrs Hudson shook her head and let him in. As Lestrade walked in, John was sat down in the armchair with Sherlock leant up against the desk with his head in his hands. Whatever had gone on between them before he came, it didn't look like either of them would last much longer if he hadn't come along.
"Looks like I arrived just in time." Lestrade sighed putting his coat on the coat rail.
"I texted you a million times! Where have you been?!" Sherlock yelled in Lestrade's direction making Mrs Hudson jump.
"Alright keep your hair on! I was busy seeing someone about… something." Lestrade felt like all he ever did with Sherlock was argue, either that or calming his tantrum.
"Sherlock, leave him alone." John piped up in Lestrade's defence.
Sherlock pouted. He then took a deep breath in trying to keep his composure. Lestrade knew this wouldn't last long so got to the point.
"So what are you so mad about or don't I get a straight answer there either?" Lestrade folded his arms.
"I think it's me not being here anymore. It seems as though Sherlock doesn't like to be alone." John answered before Sherlock could get a word in.
"Is that true?"
Sherlock mumbled something under his breath out of earshot from both Lestrade and John. Lestrade rolled his eyes, it felt like he was dealing with a child at this point! John by the way he looked felt the same way.
"Sherlock." Lestrade tried to egg an answer out.
"John is right." Sherlock said a little louder.
John raised an eyebrow as he just barely heard Sherlock say this. That was all Lestrade needed however.
"Alright and how do we solve this then? Do you need more cases? Shall I send Anderson or Donovan over everyday?" Lestrade said jokingly.
"No! Anything but that!" Sherlock begged.
"So more cases then? I'm sure Mary won't let John come over every hour of the day!" Lestrade chuckled.
"If you can find any." John whispered.
Lestrade could tell Sherlock had heard that and gave John a look that meant not to upset him any further. John stayed quiet for the next part of the conversation.
"I'll give you all the cases I can but you know the boss at the moment. He doesn't exactly like me very much." Lestrade rubbed his forehead thinking about the boss back at the station.
"Send him to me. I'll sort him out." Mrs Hudson spoke up rolling up her sleeves.
"I'm sure you would but I don't want to be the one who has to arrest you Mrs Hudson. Thanks for the offer though." Lestrade smiled.
"So can you two stop fighting now?" Mrs Hudson looked at Sherlock and John hoping they would respond rightly.
John and Sherlock mumbled a yes. That would do for Mrs Hudson at the moment. She nodded at Lestrade and left them to it.
"So, you're sure I can get back to work without you two fighting anymore?" Lestrade wasn't going to leave without an answer.
"Yes inspector." Sherlock finally responded with words.
"Good. I'll see you later then." Lestrade left, knowing it wouldn't be long before he was back to tend to their arguments again.
When Lestrade had left, Sherlock picked up his violin. John got ready for some bad playing judging by the look on his face. To his surprise however, Sherlock played a tune nicely and let him play. It was good to see Sherlock back in a near normal mood again.
