A review mentioned that Harry didn't Kill Voldemort himself and the resulting discrepancy. It kind of was explained. The Power Voldemort didn't know apparently really was potions. Harry used a potion to knock him out. If Catcher hadn't killed him he could have been handed over to the Aurors. But the one rendering helpless was Harry with a Potion! He also made sure that at least most 'victims' are not dead. That will ensure that in history he will seam as way less dramatically dangerous because he failed most of his killings. His rain of terror has efficiently ended. The fact that those 'saved by Hogwarts' or Harry really, are awake and clearly no longer in need of protection makes people feel safe that he is gone for good. In time History will probably picture him as pretty lame and a failure. Harry didn't just vanquish Voldemort, he vanquished the fear Voldemort had personified! And that was not Catcher. That was all Harry's doing though not everyone knows the details of him saving everyone who was presumed dead and protected and asleep living instead of from food from Harry's magic while sleeping.

Things will happen as they must

Epilogue

Finding his place

After Voldemort was dead Harry had not immediately gotten rid of his poison. On the contrary. He brewed a new one once a montg just to make sure it was freas and would work if he couldn't cope with anything.

At first it had been more than just strange for Harry to be seen, never mind have people talk to him. Dumbledore had helped by excusing Harry from classes along with Neville and Susan Bones as well as all the others that suddenly had parents again. That way Harry wasn't forced to interact with a big group of people during classes or in the great hall. The year was almost over anyway and reconnecting was at least as important to Dumbledore as school and he insisted that the teachers could just give those that left early some additional summer work to make up for what they missed. Not one teacher disagreed and neither did anyone else.

Harry had spend the mornings mostly watching Severus while he was invisible and teasing him with occasional touches or whispers. He didn't want to be alone but also not be in the thick of it. Harry also visited his parents, Sirius and Remus, who all lived in Grimmould place at first, daily though only for a few minutes. It was just too strange at first to suddenly have that much of a family. He also really wanted to get to know them but it just quickly became too much. In time Harry got used to them though and his visits got longer though less regularly.

While school was still in session, Harry spend an hour or two seeing Ron or Hermione in his hideout during the afternoons. He even gave them easy access to some rooms like living room and library. Hermione loved his private library which was bigger that the one accessible to students. Ron enjoyed messing in the weapon room more which they could also enter. The rest of the time Harry was alone with Severus and he enjoyed those times the most. Though Catcher obviously was never very far from him. He'd even talk Harry into Hunting with him on a broom so he could catch feathers.

The last year of schooling was strange again but Harry decided he'd stick out too much if he doesn't go. Classes were boring but at least he wasn't alone anymore and got used to having so many people around. Something that was too much and had been overwhelming at times but after slowly being around some before, it wasn't too bad most of the time. And Dumbledore made it possible for Harry to slowly ease back into the school routine by claiming towards teachers and students that Catcher needed to get used to so many humans and to make it easier for Harry to keep it under control he could skip classes as needed as long as he didn't fall behind. Something that Dumbledore knew couldn't possibly happen. By winter break that wasn't needed anymore already. Harry still felt a bit out of place but he could cope. He never stayed at the dorm rooms anymore saying he was meeting his secret lover elsewhere every night. Severus and Harry had decided to keep their relationship as quiet as possible until Harry had left school despite the fact that Dumbledore arranged that Harry wasn't in Severus class. Harry supposedly had Defence training on top of Potions training and was excused from regular classes by giving him special defenceclasses. In reality those were a lovely chats with Dumbledore and the founders' portraits. Dumbledore using those to learn from his student rather than the other way around.

Harry's parents reclaimed their house and fixed it, moving there in time to welcome Harry for Christmas. Severus was invited too, much to James' and Sirius' dislike but Lily kept those two in line and Remus didn't mind.

The biggest shock for Harry was hearing his mother was pregnant during that Christmas. He was worried he might be a bad older brother since he had so much baggage. Turned out he worried for nothing. Living away from home already ensured he was more like an Uncle than a brother.

Once the year was over Harry got an O in all the NEWT's he had taken and passed a mastery test for Potions and defence right after.

The cure from Lycantrophy and a few other potions were already published by then, though Harry made sure to let the credit of those he found from tribes go to a tribe, not the exact one though. He never said names and just claimed he heard of them and refused to say where exactly or when. Just in case those tribes or the knowledge had gone lost by now. It might be a bit too suspicious if he knows something of a tribe's history that they themselves don't know.

Harry also made a few more masteries but spread them out a bit over the years. He's now considered to be highly intelligent but not too much to be seen as overly strange, just a bit more than average. He also didn't do all masteries he could have. Mostly those that relate to potions like runes which he used in them, Herbology, magical creatures and healing.

Right after school Harry already started to work at Hogwarts as the new potions Professor. Severus was still teaching Defence, by then for the third year.

Harry enjoyed teaching much more than he did in the past. He's also able to bond with at least some students a little since he isn't scared to watch them and their children and grandchildren grow old and die on him. He also treats them all equally and can ensure all learn the basics Severus neglected to teach him.

Two years after Harry started teaching Dumbledore wanted to retire and name Harry as his replacement but Harry refused saying McGonagall should get that position and that he wanted to continue teaching. Harry even refused the position of Deputy saying Severus was much better suited. Being the strictest Professor Hogwarts has to offer.

Neville had joined staff that year as Herbology professor and head of Gryffindor which Harry refused saying he was too close to Slytherin by now and Catcher might scare the poor little lions.

Life goes on and that Christmas where Severus had become deputy headmaster he had also asked Harry to marry him and the wedding was the coming summer on Hogwarts grounds. That year Harry also got a second sibling. The older being the only girl at the time but his parents weren't done and have a third son who is five years old son and a little three-year-old second daughter. Some years later.

Harry himself is rather happy to watch over the children in school though sometimes he regrets that being with a guy meant he wouldn't have any children of his own to pass his parselmouth ability on but starts to work on a potion to possibly give it to an adopted child he still hopes to talk Severus in. So far, he isn't even sure how to bring up the topic, never mind successfully talk Severus into it. But at least there seemed to have been at least some others with that ability in the past so it might not die out if he can't get such a potion to work and adoption is still an option Harry at least considers either way. After all Voldemort had the ability too and certainly was not a descendent of Salazar Slytherin. But than again, maybe one of Selvin Slytherin. Who knows if he did have a child at some point after all. And if not him, than Selvin might have had the gift from somewhere and there might be another branch further up his family tree where Voldemort came from? Eitherway, passing on his govt certainly comes a roaring second to haveing a family with Severus.

Over the years the press had alternated between hailing Harry's potions abilities and later on his other achievements and worrying how dangerous Harry is with that pet. Since Catcher is constantly around children never hurt anyone and with his senses had warned Harry from potential danger due to exploding potions before an actual explosion it calmed down over the years. Though regularly donating venom and skin from Catcher to St.Mungos and developing three different medical potions that need it had probably helped to prevent the worst on that account too. Especially since the sudden drop in available sources for those since Huntress had died are getting more noticeable. Most people can't brew anything that needs either Basilisk skin or venom. Not unless Harry gives them what they need.

Minerva just retired as well this year, saying she had no interest to work almost until she's dead and wants to enjoy her retirement. Now Severus is headmaster and, since Harry once again refused to become deputy on the grounds that he'd leave with Severus anyway and it be more prudent to have one that can actually take over at some point, Neville is deputy headmaster.

Right now, Harry watches Neville lead the first yeas in and sees his younger sister Violet. A name Catcher constantly complains about because can't find a single Violet spot on her anywhere. Not that Catcher approved of any human name so far. Harry has told his parents about his opinion but they laughed it off.

Harry had heard that Violet had been worried about her placement because James is sure she'll be a Gryffindor and a bit pushy about favouring it so Lily had reminded Violet that her brother-in-law used to be head of Slytherin until very recently and that Harry certainly won't mind either way.

Because of that Harry had written her a letter that he'd be routing for her to go to his dungeons where he lives and preferably not Hufflepuff. Slytherin would be the better prank for James. Harry claps when he watches her go to the Slytherin table shortly after and gives her a thumbs up while Severus mumbles "A Potter in Slytherin, I'm so happy I don't have to teach anymore."

Harry leans in to whisper "Of course she's in there. She's the sister of Salazar Slytherin. And I can manipulate the hat you know. After all, I spelled it!"

"You do realise you'll be forever your father's favourite if all your siblings go to Slytherin." Severus warns.

"I'm not his favourite, he knows that I'm the Slytherin and married to you." Harry reminds him and gives him a short peck on the cheek. They do try to keep those affectionate moments out of the public eye but Harry was never very good at resisting the occasional kiss.

He sees the nervous look on his sisters face and decide to talk to her later. After Severus makes a few announcements which include that there aren't any former Slytherin on staff apart from him so Severus had insisted that Harry is the new head of house. Severus claims to have chosen Harry on the grounds that a parselmouth married to a Slytherin was the by far closest to a former Slytherin they could get. In truth it was because Harry was Salazar Slytherin and such the closest to getting a Slytherin they had gotten since the time of the founders but that wasn't something Severus could proclaim in the great hall. That decision had been kept a secret until just now though Violet hadn't known.

Taking his position very seriously and wanting to check on his sister Harry walks down to the common room right after the students go there. It hadn't changed since he made it into what it is. "Welcome, or welcome back whatever the case may be. I wanted to come down to make sure that all of you know that you can come to me whenever you need it. I know I'm a poor replacement for Severus but as his Husband I can force him to sleep on a couch if he doesn't come if you need a real Slytherin at anytime so nothing has to change really."

Some chuckle and one student says "I would not dare to let him know that I caused you to use that threat on him."

"Oh don't worry, I keep him on a leash. But don't tell him I said that or I'll have to sleep on the couch." Harry grins and goes on explaining after the chuckles calm down. "Now I added a new function. If you need me at any time just tell that Snake painting up there." He points to one. "You won't be able to understand it unless there is another parselmouth hiding out here, but I can understand it's counterparts in my quarters and the one in my office and this one has learned to understand English after hanging there since the founders time. It told me that it was the Basilisk of Salazar and is named Huntress. So, if you need me it's a good way of reaching me. It can also go to other portraits to find me elsewhere in the castle."

"I heard you have a Basilisk too." A first year says.

"He does but his has a plum on it's head because it's a boy. His name is Catcher and he likes me." Violet pips up running closer. "Can Catcher stay with us tonight."

"I don't know if he wants to hunt instead." Harry says seeing some scared faces "And I only permit it if no one is scared of him after they met him. Catcher, would you come out? Some of the younger year's are curious and Violet would like a cuddle"

Catcher slithers out from Harry's sleeve and around Violet before going back to Harry and around his arm only to follow it's own tail and go full circle while Violet giggles. "It be silly to be scared of Catcher. He likes birds much more than anything on the ground. That's why he makes you fly with him all the time to catch birds, right?"

"We know that my sweet sister but the other little ones don't and Catcher is growing and getting big. And in general breeding a Basilisk is outlawed for really good reasons. Catcher could kill all of you in no time and is at least nearly big enough to eat you little squirts." Harry points out. "And just because we know he wouldn't doesn't mean they feel safe but everyone who dares can touch him now."

Soon after all the younger ones have and since the older students have seen Catcher a lot during Potions Harry asks Catcher if he minds staying with the little ones and to get him if they need him and the Basilisk happily winds around only Violet saying "Only if she keeps petting me and lets me sleep in her warm bed."

Violet happily agrees after Harry told her Catcher's demand. She and her younger siblings always loved sleep overs with their older brother and cuddling with the huge snake. Not one of them had ever been scared growing up close enough to Harry and knowing that Catcher was never far away from him.

A little later Harry walks to the headmaster's office to drag his Husband to bed. He felt like being indulged and knew that Severus would get angry if Harry goes ahead without him. Ever since Severus had returned to their rooms late one time only to see Harry thoughtful look at the phial of poison he carries around, Severus insists that Harry comes straight to him when he is done with whatever he did before. Harry even noticed that ever since that day the portrait of Godric is walking around the area where Harry is. Apparently helping Severus to keep an eye on Harry.

Harry doesn't mind. On the contrary. He loves that Severus still cares enough after all those years together. Unfortunately though Harry barely was up there when an order he had given an elf many years ago came back to bite him in the ass and prevents his alone time with Severus.

"Sir." The elf says standing before Harry. "Master had ordered Hilly's parent's parent's parent's..."

"I get it what order?" Harry interrupts not planning to count the generations and such not wanting to listen to her count.

"To watch mistress Thalia's family and report anything important." Hilly says.

Harry is surprised they were still on to that, though on second thought he should know, he had looked at the family tree they had kept to follow the connection from Severus Slughorn to his husband. "And? What is it now?"

"Master Marcus' great great great..." Hilly starts and Harry just plops onto Severus' lab and kisses him until she is done "Great grandson Eric just had a car accident. He and non magical wife died but baby apparated out and is alone hanging in tree. Muggles haven't found and baby is all alone. Hilly is scared little master might fall. Hilly thought I better let master know. Hilly could get him out but not to non magical help."

"Bring me there." Harry orders holding out a hand and is brought there. Harry is reasonably sure he knows who it is. There was just one Eric in the family tree the elves had done and Harry had looked at it to see that Severus came von Marcus Snape's line. Even from his first born Malcom whom Harry had seen.

As soon as he arrived Harry takes the baby from the tree, where it was surprisingly secure with sticking charms, and walks towards the car wrack that is a good bit away. Laramedics are already there too. Harry just got close when he feels Severus arms move around him and hears a whispered "A baby suits you love, we should consider running away with it." Severus had used another elf to follow worried about his Husband rather than some baby. But he knows that Harry is still always carrying poison with him though he seems much better. But until Harry doesn't need it to feel like he could take that out Severus doesn't like him alone if he can help it. Especially in a situation that might be stressful. Walking around Hogwarts from one place with people to another was okay by now, especially with all the portraits watching him, but he'd never let Harry do something like this alone yet.

Harry grins cheekily and whispers "I doubt that is necessary."

He changes their outfits before he reaches the paramedics saying "I found this baby sleeping over there. Could it have anything to do with this car wreckage?"

"Oh good you found it. We found baby things, a seat and neighbours already confirmed for the police that they had a son with them but we found no child. I bet it wasn't properly strapped in." They take it to look it over but, miraculously, it seems perfectly fine.

Someone from social services comes soon after and Harry addresses her asking "What will happen with the baby we found?"

"Well, I already did some research before coming and the closest living relative would be the father's cousin but I don't know if they are even in touch. If he won't take the baby, I fear he'll go into foster care." She sighs "I haven't even found a phone number for him though. Meaning little Thomas will at least stay in foster care tonight."

"How do you even know who they are, it's not recognisable." Severus muses "Even the licence plate is busted."

"Someone saw the accident and knew the missing digits and neighbours confirmed they used the car. Had just left before it happened really." She explains and Harry wonders how long Hilly had waited for the muggles to find the baby before getting Harry.

"Thomas, you said? We know some people around here, relatives of my husband Severus, and they have a son named Thomas. Who are they, it's not Eric Snape from around here is it?" Harry asks sounding worried and Severus wonders what he is playing.

"It is, Eric and Maria Snape." She replies.

Severus looks just as shocked as Harry but unlike Harry, Severus really is shocked. He hadn't known his drunkard of a father had a brother. Or that he had a cousin. "Severus," Harry says taking his hand "I'm so sorry." He turns to the woman saying "My partner Severus Snape and I saw them often since we are family."

"Severus? You wouldn't live in spinners end" she asks.

"It's mine but I'm living with Harry now." Severus mumbles.

"Well I'm glad you know Thomas then. Would you mind being his legal guardian." She asks.

"Of course we'll take him." Harry says, using a bit of magic to let her forget most of the normal paperwork and procedure to speed things up. She'll also forget about this and never check up on them. "Eric and Maria would never forgive us if we don't and I couldn't let little Thomas go to strangers, he's such an adorable little thing. We both care about him a lot anyway and Severus joked that a baby suits me every single time he saw me hold him. I thought he had looked like Thomas but hoped I had imagined it. I mean babies always look so much alike and I didn't want it to be him. The poor boy, losing both parents and at such a young age."

Severus is still staring shocked at them; he really had been joking but seems like that was a mistake. He almost groans when Harry asks "Can we take him with us? Severus has a spare key to their place, maybe we can take some of his things? I mean I could get some from my parents, my youngest sibling isn't that much older and I'm sure all the necessities are still there but something more familiar might be better for Thomas don't you think?" It's not that Severus wouldn't want a child with Harry and unable to have a biological one he wouldn't be opposed adoption but this is rather sudden.

"Of course. He's with one of the Paramedics while I was trying to find an emergency placement but familiar faces are always better." She agrees. "But only if you both are sure about this." She eyes the still shocked and by now also resigned Severus sceptically. Some men easily joke about getting a baby but react poorly when it turns into reality.

Harry prompts Severus with a little nudge against his side courtesy of Harry's rather pointy elbow. With a sigh Severus mumbles "Of course we're sure, excuse my silence, it's just such a shock. My father and Eric's father were estranged and we only recently even found out about Eric being my cousin. To lose him so suddenly again and Maria too, she was always so nice. Never said a word about our way of living and all. It's just such a shock. I'm just not sure how we'll manage with work on such short notice but I'm sure Harry has it already all worked out. He's a genius and always very quick with solutions."

She looks questioningly at Harry who nods "Oh that's no problem. We're both working at a boarding school for gifted children. Classes are a bit dangerous in my case due to chemical reactions but Severus is headmaster. Thomas can stay with him when all else fails but I'm sure our colleges will help out and there is a lot of supporting staff around and the health care we provide at the school is also very good. My much younger siblings often stay over with us, and such even my pet is very used to infants around and actually trained to give a signal if anything is amiss. It's very well trained and with it's senses it can even warn us if Thomas gets ill. Did so for my sister Violet once. She's also at the school now and surely will love playing with her new nephew on occasion. She's a bit young to mind him on her own but like I said, we can arrange for a play pen at Severus' office and find something during meetings too. Most for the start of term are over anyway and there won't be any until almost Christmas time."

"Catcher actually will be thrilled to have a baby full time." Severus agrees with a faint smile "That's the pet's name. He adores babies. Never lets his eyes off them and is pouty for a few days when they have to go back home. When my partner's siblings started to crawl or walk around he always blocked their way to anything dangerous. We won't really need a play pen, we'll get one of course, better safe than sorry, but Catcher certainly will be helpful. I dare say he can watch Thomas better than any of us. I just can't believe this is happening."

She accompanies them to the Paramedic and the little one is awake now and fussing. "I'm not so sure we won't take him over night after all, he's so agitated we might have overlooked something." The man says.

"Let me try." Harry says and takes the baby, magically creating a mental illusion of colourful clouds floating around Harry's own face in the child's mind to distract the baby. And this way only Thomas sees it because it's only an image in his mind. On top of that does he use his magic to make a feeling of calm and safety go through the child's mind. The baby quickly calms watching Harry who calmly sings an old lullaby. One he had heard in the past. Thalia had sung it for her grandchildren sometimes. The boy leans against Harry almost asleep again already and Severus smiles seeing it.

"You're always so good with babies." Severus smiles. James and Lily had sometimes fire called for Harry when their babies couldn't be calmed. Harry had gotten them asleep in less than an hour.

"It's just my magic." Harry grins sadly at him, still playing his role of having lost part of his family or friends. "And I often had an eye on Maria with Thomas. You know how much I love children."

"Well I guess he'll be fine with you but if he seems strange or such bring him in. We couldn't find a scratch on him and he reacted fine apart from the fussing but waking up without his parents and all those strange sounds and smells probably are the cause. He certainly calmed quickly seeing a familiar face." The parametric says. "And the only hospital close by is a little full, he'll probably get more attention elsewhere and at home will be no risk he catches any hospital bacteria."

Harry agrees and they leave quickly. They are just out of earshot when Severus grins "Now I know the meaning of the saying be careful what you wish for." He kisses Harry adding "Though I certainly don't regret it at all."

"And don't worry, I won't let him out of my sight and can just raise a shield around him during classes." Harry assures.

"Oh no!" Severus disagrees. "He might distract you or your students and is my son too now. It will be hard enough to battle him out of your grasps and from Catcher any other time already. I have him while you're in class."

"One condition." Harry grins Severus just looks questioningly at him so Harry goes on to add "You'll be very indulging towards me as soon as Thomas is asleep."

"If I must." Severus sigh like it's a chore but the grin and glint in his eyes prove just how much he actually looks forward to that. "But you have to explain to me why the elves were watching someone who apparently is related to me."

"Oh that's easy. Remember those first people I met after that travel, the one who taught me potions, his only child Thalia had married a Sebastian Snape. And I had some elves watch his grandchildren after I stopped seeing them. I think I mentioned them." Harry grins.

"Not the family name." Severus points out.

"The old man's name was Severus to. Thalia's father who taught me. But his family name was Slughorn. I still wonder if there is some relation to Horace. But unless it mixed in again later it must be really distant." Harry says taking Severus hand now that they are far enough and apparates sending Hilly to get the cradle that belongs to Thomas from his old room along with some of his toys.

Later that night, long after he had indulged Harry, Severus wakes up alone in their bed. As usual when that happens, he gets up, takes a robe to cover himself a bit and looks for his Husband. As usual he finds Harry in the potion's laboratory. And the way it looks he's making one of those potions only Harry can brew. Having developed a way to use magic on ingredients without affecting them. At first, he could only summon or banish containers with those in it but for some time Harry is able to cut and add more things at the same time than two hands should allow. Only Severus knows how he does it and that it only works because he's that powerful by now.

Severus watches until Harry is done and several small phials are hovering before him. Most are floating towards storage but Harry takes one and eyes it critical. "What is it you brewed up this time." Severus finally asks not recognizing it and having seen Harry ad a drop of his own blood. Something he hadn't done before.

"A new one. I don't know what to name it but seeing as it would need the blood of a parselmouth I highly doubt I'd market it." Harry mumbles.

"Better not." Severus agrees. "If it's good you'd be bleed out in no time. Will you test it yourself again?"

Severus really dislikes that Harry tests his potions himself so often. Not that any ever didn't work the way it's supposed to, Harry's theoretical knowledge is so great that they so far always worked as they should. "I can't." Harry sighs though.

"What kind of test subject do you need?" Severus asks wondering if it's a cure or maybe just for females or what other specific requirement might be needed.

"Someone that doesn't speak parsel." Harry mumbles.

"I'll test it." Severus says certain that Harry won't give it to him unless it's safe and not really caring what it does. Harry knows what he does and Severus just wants him back in bed soon.

Harry hands over the phial and Severus drinks it not reacting to the taste. "Can we go back to bed now? I'm not noticing any difference."

"Only if you indulge my neediness some more." Harry grins.

Severus grins too "It's the middle of the night and I've been very indulging before we fell asleep but if it's the only way to get you to bed fine."

"Since I am tired a kiss might do the trick." Harry says.

"Now that is mean! I was just getting my hopes up." Severus complains.

"Maybe I'll be the one indulging you then." Harry sighs theatrically.

"That actually would be a first." Severus replies kissing his husband and getting rid of their robes as soon as they're in their room. "But we really should sleep who knows how soon Thomas will be up and how much attention he'll need. The poor guy did have a difficult time. Though I never heard of an infant apparating. I never heard of them using any magic at that age."

"House elves can feel magic. I bet Hilly got him out in time and was worried how I'll react. She doesn't know I can feel magic for centuries now and without a sign that he's magical she might have been worried admitting to have used magic in front of him. Though I certainly would praise her for this kind of interference even if he were a muggle." Harry explains "He certainly has magic thought but it changes after first usage and he certainly hasn't used his."

Since when can emotions man speak?" Huntress asks from her portrait making Severus sit straight and stare at her.

"Since when can I understand her?" Severus asked still staring shocked at Huntress.

"Since you tested my new potion." Harry sighs cuddling into the blanket. "I just don't know if it really is permanent as it should be and if I can brew that potion using your blood now or if it can be passed to children naturally now. I rather not have you test the later. Maybe Violet can test it when she's older. What do you think will my dad say if my siblings get a phial of this each along with a pet snake?"

"He will cry and I better get to see it." Severus grins.

"We'll see. But for now I won't give it any one else. Just to make sure no one understands me when I talk dirty with you in earshot of others. I wonder how much I can distract you during meetings."

Severus just groans and drops back to bed saying "Something went wrong though. Either I only speak Parsel now or I don't even know when I hear or speak it."

"I didn't either. Hermione and Ron told me I used a different language after I had talked to the Snake Draco had summoned in our second year. Looking at a snake lets you speak it at first. It takes practise to switch otherwise or just to hear the difference." Harry calms him. "Meaning you can't annoy me with saying dirty things back where others might hear. And by the way, I banished it all tonight."

"What?" Severus asks with a sigh.

"My poison." Harry replies smiling at Severus. He had thought about possibly not brewing a fresh one for a while now but still been scared to somehow lose Severus. But now that they had a son Harry didn't want to risk doing anything stupid in a rash. He decided he should at least have the time while brewing new poison to properly think through the consequences. Thomas would need him and Harry had so many other good thinks in his life that he felt sure he could cope with anything. Especially while he has Severus by his side.

And if the way Severus kisses him after Harry said that is any indication, Severus was very happy about it.
