Evelyn's p.o.v.
Entering the big, spacious room, the first person I see is an old man. He has long white beard and matching hair, and his sparkly blue eyes are looking at me trough half moon shaped glasses.
"Wellcome. My name is Albus Dumbledore. I'm the headmaster of Hogwarts.", he informs us, walking closer.
I smile, offering him my hand, "I'm Evelyn Stark, nice to meet you."
"And I'm Thor Odinson."
Albus smiles, "Ah yes, I heard a lot of great stories about your father."
Hagrid frowns, "Ya did?"
"I'm Minerva McGonagall, I teach Transfiguration.", the woman with a big witchy hat introduces herself, shaking my hand.
She seems uneasy for some reason. I can see doubt in her eyes. I suppose Albus's plan didn't really sit with her.
The last person in the room is a tall, black haired man. His face is pale and shows no emotion whatsoever. The only thing I can tell is that he didn't get a good night sleep in a while ...his dark circles give that away.
He stands perfectly still, looking at me so I decide to make the first move, not knowing this will be a usual situation during my stay at Hogwarts.
"Evelyn.", I say, offering him my hand.
"Severus.", he tells me, shaking it.
Not much of a talker, are we?
Our weird eye contact lasts until Albus's voice breaks it, making me look away, "I hope your trip was comfortable. It's a long way from America to London, and then Hogwarts."
"It is but we're used to it.", Thor tells him.
"I suppose Nick explained the situation."
I nod, "Yes. When was the first time you saw a robot?"
Albus smiles, "The first time? Well, when you had your own issues a few years ago."
"Oh, Loki.", I say.
"My brother did cause quite a problem back then.", Thor speaks and they look at him.
"He's adopted so there where some emotional issues that he couldn't handle.", Thor says like it's as simple as that.
"When was the first time you saw a robot here?", I paraphrase my question.
"Two weeks ago. Sybil, one of the teachers that lives in Hogwarts saw it at the edge of the Forbidden forest. We didn't think much of it at first but when the creature attacked our student, we realized that we might have a problem.", Minerva explains.
"Did you try to attack it?", Thor asks.
"We shoot a few spells the third time we saw it but it didn't work. That's when I decided to call Nick.", Albus tells us.
I cross my arms, wrapping my brain around the information we received.
"I still believe that Ultron has something to do with this.", Thor tells me.
I shake my head, "Ultron was solely focused on the Avengers. Him sending his army here doesn't make sense. And besides, Vision killed him."
"But how do we know he was the only one? Maybe there are more of them left. I mean, obviously there are. In the end, Vision is one of them.", Thor tells me and I look at him.
"Vision has nothing to do with this."
"But maybe he know something about it. Maybe Ultron told him something ...they where alone when Ultron died."
"I can contact Nick on this but I bet he already checked with him.", I say, looking at Thor.
"Call him, we want to be sure.", Thor tells me and I nod.
"The students return in two days. I know expecting you to resolve our problem in that short time is unrealistic but we want to keep them safe.", Albus tells us.
"No other child will be harmed, you have my word.", Thor tells him.
"Can we take a walk around the castle?", I ask.
Dumbledore nods, "Sure."
They lead us toward the place where they last saw the robot. We slowly walk towards the forest and, for now, everything seems normal.
"There.", Albus tells us, pointing his wand towards the spot.
Thor and I take a few more steps, looking around the area.
"You can't go in alone. There are a lot of dangerous creatures lurking around the forest, especially for muggles.", Minerva tells us.
"I can go with them.", Hagrid offers.
Albus nods, "Fine. We'll be waiting fro you."
"You have everything you need?", Thor asks and I put my hand on my gun.
"The sword is in my backpack but I have a gun with me.", I look at him and he nods.
"Come on, let's do this.", Thor tells me and starts walking towards the woods.
I turn my watch on and search for a map of this area. Fury marked all locations where robots have been seen and the area is really big. It's starting to get dark and we won't be able to search the whole place tonight.
The moment we step in, cold wind hits my face. The energy in the forest is very dark and you can feel the tension in the air. I guess there's a reason they call it the Forbidden forest. We walk slowly, looking around and I pull my gun out, it case it needs to be used. The further we go, the fog get thicker and it's harder to see, even with the daylight still remaining.
I hear a growling sound and stop, motioning to Thor and Hagrid to do the same.
"You hear that?", I whisper as the growling continues.
"What is that?", Thor asks, looking around.
"Ups, that my stomach. Sorry bout that, didn't have my dinner yet.", Hagrid speaks, holding his big belly.
I sigh in relief and smile a little before continuing to move. We walk around for a solid twenty minutes but theres nothing to see, except spiderwebs and a few owls flying around. The daylight is almost completely gone and walking around this area at night is not safe at all.
I stop and put my hands on my hips, turning towards Hagrid and Thor, "We will return tomorrow. It's getting dark and soon it will be hard to see anything."
Thor opens his mouth to speak but his eyes wide up, focusing at something behind me. I frown and, as I turning around, Thor yells, "Watch out!", before jumping on me and trowing me to the ground, avoiding the danger.
I hear a laser shot near my head and feel pebbles and pieces of dirt hit my face. Turning around, I see a pair of red light eyes in between the bushes. I blue light appears and I realize he's preparing to shoot again.
"Take shelter!", I yell as be barely escape another shoot.
I look at Hagrid and see fear in his eyes. He curled up behind a big boulder, covering his ears from all the noise.
"Stay there!", I yell at him, picking my gun and firing a few shots towards the machine.
I hear one bullet hit him but he doesn't back away. Right as he's about to strike again, Thor trows his hammer towards him, making the robot hit the ground.
Thor smiles, "Ha, got you."
We rush towards him but before we could take a good look of the machine, it flies away.
"Or not.", I say, breathing heavily.
I look around and notice something shiny on the ground. I pick it up and realize it's a metal plate with numbers engraved in it.
"What is this?", Thor asks.
"It looks like a serial number. I'll have to call Fury for that one.", I say.
"Did it leave?", we hear Hagrid's shaky voice and rush towards him.
"He's gone. Come on, let's get out of here."
We help him up and rush out of the woods.
"Are you okay?", Minerva asks the moment she sees us walking towards them.
"We're fine.", I say.
"Did you see him?", Albus asks.
"Yes, and we have a little part of him.", Thor tells, showing him the metal plate we collected.
"I'm going to call Fury so he can check this.", I say, taking the plate out of Thors hands.
"Oh my, you are injured.", Minerva squeaks, looking at me.
I touch my temple with my fingertips and see blood.
Smiling, I look at Minerva, "It's just a scratch."
She completely ignores my words and looks at Albus, "We should take her to the hospital wing."
"No, I'm fine. No need for doctors.", I object.
Albus looks at Severus, "I don't think we need to alert Poppy. Severus, do you have something to ease the bleeding?"
Severus nods and looks at me, "Come."
He starts to walk and I run after him.
He's fast, almost like he's half running so I'm doing my best to catch up to him. We enter the castle and go down the stairs. The walls become darker and the air colder. We take a few turns before he waves his wand and a door swings open.
"Sit.", he tells me as we enter the dark room.
I look around and see a bunch of shelves with bottles on them. I suppose it's some kind of a storage.
I sit down and take a deep breath. The silence is kinda awkward as he goes trough the bottles.
"So, are you a professor here?", I ask.
"Yes.", he answers in a dull tone.
It's like I'm getting on his nerves even though I only ask one question. The kids must love him.
I don't let myself be discouraged, "What do you teach?"
"Poison."
"Oh, that explains a lot.", I say, looking around once again.
"Do you live here?", I ask after a few seconds and he turns around, looking at me with a serious face, "No."
I raise my eyebrows, "Okay.", saying quietly enough so he can't hear it.
He climbs down the latter with a dark green bottle in his hands. Taking a cloth, he pours the liquid on it and looks at me, "Here."
"Thank you.", I say, taking the cloth and placing it over my wound.
It burns for a few seconds but I don't react to it.
"Can I go now?", I ask, still pressing the soaked piece of fabric on my temple.
"Muggles then to have a reaction to our herbs so you need to sit here for a few minutes more, in case you faint.", he tells me, leaning on one of the shelves with his arms crossed.
"Oh, okay."
After a few uncomfortable minutes, the silence starts to become unbearable. I have this horrible habit of laughing in awkward situations so I use all my strength to fight off a smile. I do this weird technique, picturing glasses in my head and mentally placing them on top of one another just to focus on something but, it doesn't help and a smirk creeps out of my firmly pressed lips.
He raises his eyebrow, "What's funny?"
Finally, I give up and smile, shaking my head a little, "It's just that I hate situations like this."
"And what kind of a situation is this?"
"Awkward. Silent. Uncomfortable.", I say, looking at him.
"I feel perfectly fine.", he informs me.
"Yea, I can see that.", I look at him and our eyes meet.
We have a little stare competition until I feel my memories rush trough my mind. It's weird because it feels like my memories are pages that I'm, for some reason, flipping over, looking at them like a photo book, or more like a video book, if that makes any sense.
They move quite fast but stop when a picture of my parents funeral comes up. I still remember that day clearly. Tony's hand on my shoulder as we watch the caskets slowly go down, disappearing in the freshly digged grave. Tears running down my cheeks as I remember the last moments with my mom.
I blink a few times, realizing that something weird is going on. The moment I think that, the memory disappears.
"You can go now.", Severus speaks and I look at him.
I have a feeling that he has something to do with what just happened.
"Can I keep the cloth?", I ask, standing up.
"Yes. Goodnight.", he tells me starts to walk towards a back door.
"Wait!", I say and he turns around.
"Where am I supposed to go?", I ask.
"Your room is on the first floor, turn left and walk down the hallway. Or do you need an escort?", he asks, a small smirk appearing on his pale face.
"No, I can manage on my own.", I say and walk out of the room.
