Faith narrowed her eyes and scoffed slightly, her fingertips pressed harder into the paper material of the cigarette balanced carefully on the corner of her dark lips, before she knew it she had crushed the entirety of the cigarette in the palm of her hand, flinching slightly as specks of hot ash burned their way through her skin. All while her chocolate brown eyes remained on the window as she watched the blonde slayer and the unfortunate excuse of a lover who now both seemed still as the soulful vampire held the love of his life in his arms. Seething inside Faith turned her heel and began to wander down the dark streets, her heart pounding into her chest, feeling her eyes slowly begin to fill up but she was soon to snap out of it as her ears pricked up hearing something that turned her stomach. She slowly turned to her right and stood silently as she listened carefully to what sounded like a news report coming from a nearby apartment window.
The dark beauty swallowed hard as she moved in slightly closer as the reporter spoke about the Mafia Massacre murderer, her eyes widening as the broadcast continued to describe what the suspect looked like, "Fuck!" she exclaimed burying her head in her hands feeling herself fall to the floor. Slowly she began to rock herself back and forth before the blurring sound of sirens solely came towards her. Panicked she ran in the opposite direction until the sirens where out of hearing range. She took a moment to catch her breath looking at her surroundings, eyes still burning from her own tears, her olive skin throbbing under her clothing and her stomach churned begging to be fed. Her dark brown eyes darted up and down observing her empty surroundings feeling lost, and inapt as she made her way past the luxury apartments, businesses, and amenities.
Finally, after what felt like hours of constant walking the dark slayer stopped in her tracks and noticed her surroundings were beginning to drastically change. Large luxury apartments soon turned into small, dark and lifeless blocks, residents crammed together in a much less luxurious atmosphere. Faith breathed a sigh of relief lighting another cigarette as she leaned against a nearby wall observing the cramped apartments, taking in a large breath of nicotine and crisp cold fresh air, a half smile crept across her face as she carefully studied the apartment windows and planning carefully how to make her way into the building. "Score!" she softly whispered to herself as her eyes discovered a nearby fire escape leading up to an open window of one of the residents. Sliding her hand into her bag she pulled out her precious Jackal and slid it into the inner fabric of her leather jacket making her way across the street, she hoisted herself up the ladder her eyes darting back and forth towards the dark empty streets before she finally reached the open window.
The apartment was a downright mess, complete with tattered furnishings and décor. It also seemed to be occupied by the state of the floor coated in numerous clothing and personal items. The occupier seemed to have a good sense of style at least from the never-ending amount of leather garments spread around. Faith chuckled lightly to herself as she walked through the small apartment taking in her surroundings when suddenly out of nowhere a figure emerged from the far bathroom. "What the fuck are you doing in my apartment?" Faith's eyes looked up to meet the strangers voice, but she didn't seem a all bothered that she had been caught. Sniggering to herself she took a few steps closer to the terrified and slightly shaken resident who reminded her almost of a younger version of herself. The girl had slightly paler skin, dark eyes and long brown hair covering what seemed to be an eyebrow scar. Faith licked her lips and simply said "Get out if you know what's good for you!"
"Excuse me" ? the younger woman replied as she pulled out a cell phone from her back pocket punching in numbers frantically.
Faith shook her head side to side "I wouldn't do that if I was you!" she whispered harshly reaching out to grab the woman's phone.
"Get out! Please I don't have anything ! Please leave!" the woman begged tears appearing in her eyes, she was shaking as she took a few more steps back towards the front door of the apartment.
"Oh but you do …"Faith began snatching the phone from the victims palm throwing it onto the bed before taking a few more steps forward now close enough to smell the woman's perfume radiating off her, filling Faith's nostrils as she took a deep breath enjoying the smell of fear that came with it. " …You have so much I'm in need of …" as Faith spoke she pulled the Jackal knife from the inside of her jacket causing the woman to whimper and bolt towards the door but Faith was too quick, slamming the woman against the door, knife pressed against the soft skin of the victims throat causing a scream that startled Faith who now pushed the knife in harder. "
Shut up! Shut your pretty fucking mouth! Faith spat. The woman pushed against Faith's weight grunting and whimpering underneath her as she kept her pinned to the door, even after Faith's threats she continued to attempt screaming hoping someone nearby would hear her cries of despair but it was useless. Faith wrapped her hand over the woman's mouth as she kept the knife pressed as she spoke. "Now we can come to an arrangement …okay? All I need is a place to stay…I can even make it worth your while if you come around to my way of thinking…" Faith's voice almost sounded like a purr in the victim's ear. She shook her head side to side starting to scream into the hand clasped over her mouth, tears soaking her cheeks as she used what she could of her own strength to escape the brunette's clutches. Faith chuckled and moved her mouth to the other ear. "Final chance …question is are you going to shut and listen?" The unknown woman nodded softly as Faith loosened her grip only to be knocked backwards by the woman's elbow taking her by surprise.
Suddenly the pray became the predator pinning Faith down to the floor, knee to her throat pressing on the slayers windpipe as she reached once again for her cell phone, the brunette gritted her teeth and raised her leg back kicking the back of the woman's head knocking her onto the bed. Faith soon followed behind pinning all her weight down on her now pray. She grunted as she pulled the woman's head up by her long dark locks moving in slightly closer, her eyes full of hate and rage, breathing rapidly like a wild dog in heat as she whispered harshly, "Do you know what happens to a bitch when she constantly disobeys her owner? She gets put down!" Suddenly with one swift motion there was a loud snap and a thud, silence filled the room and Faith remained motionless on top of the body.
The brunette looked down at the lifeless body, the room was so still and quiet she could hear the one heartbeat left of the two echoing loudly in her ears, rolling off the body she stood and began to pace the room, all whilst begginning to tidy the apartment not able to think straight as the lifeless female remained face down on the bed. Faith sighed and fell to the floor as she came across a leather wallet empying its contents onto the floor. A drivers licence was the first thing to catch her eye. "Gabriella Bianchi" Faith read. "Hmm I think Gabby suits ya..."Faith trailed off as her attention turned to what seemed to be a business card Supernatual Security: Buffy Summers and in small writing scribbled at the back was Whenever you're ready" x Faith grinned like a cheshire cat, her eyes lit up as she skimmed the details. Address, phone number, email...it was all there! "Well Gabby ...looks like you're gonna be around a while longer..."
Faith pulled a leather jacket from a nearby chair and checked out her reflection in a nearby mirror. "Gabby...I could be a Gabby ..." Faith turned her attention back to the drivers licence and lifted it up to the light, her eyes back and forth at the mirror, her grin becoming even wider as she muttered the words once again " I could be a Gabby."
