Nicole Wallace was waiting for Carver to get out of the grand jury.

When he did, she went after him.

- You'll have to deal with me! She was haughty. But where is the rapist? She had a nasty little laugh as she said the words. Let me guess...with her little heathen!

She was smiling an evil smile that spoke volumes about what she was implying.

Carver's face was distorted with anger.

He looked at her with contempt.

Damn it, hold me back or I'll end up in jail for murder!

- Just because those incompetent Special Victims Unit guys dropped my charges, doesn't mean I'm going to let it go! Goren is going down and that's all I want!

Carver clenched his fists.

He had never hit a woman, but today he would have gladly done it.

Especially since you can't talk about a woman when you talk about her! But a monster!

Benson and Rollins, who had witnessed the scene from afar, came closer to Carver and stood in front of him, to protect him from Nicole Wallace.

- Let her do it! She's not worth it!

Benson and Rollins looked at him.

Carver really had guts!

- We'll see you in court! Slowly and coldly he said the last words. But for real, I'm going to put you away for life!

Carver withdrew without a glance at Wallace, followed by Benson and Rollins, under the eyes of a Nicole Wallace who was seething with rage.

- You'll pay for this, Carver!

- We find the defendant...

Eames felt her heart stop.

She broke out in a cold sweat, nervously clutching her clammy hands.

Rollins was on Eames' left side and Benson on the right side.

All three were waiting for the verdict.

- Don't worry, Eames... Benson leaned toward Eames. Carver did very well!

Goren, his heart beating hard in his chest, awaited his sentence.

He couldn't take his eyes off Alex's big hazel eyes that showed such concern.

- ...Not guilty!

Goren felt his heart come alive again.

Finally he was cleared of suspicion!

Benson, Rollins and Eames stood up, heading to meet Goren and Carver.

- Thank you for everything Carver!

Carver shook Goren's hand, the other hand on his arm.

Goren had been very brave and strong to take all that pressure!

Thank goodness Eames had been there!

He knew that Eames had played a big part in this and that she had helped him through the difficulties.

Rollins noticed the expression on Goren's face, which had changed from joy to extreme concern.

She saw him running toward her, passing her by without a glance.

She followed him with her eyes and saw Eames who had just collapsed to the ground.

When Goren had seen the expression of Eames' face turned white, he had understood that she was going to be ill.

And he had rushed to her.

He had arrived in time, catching her and preventing her from falling to the ground.

He should have known, that it had been too strong emotions for her these last days.

That she had been strong, but that she was still fragile.

Rollins followed by Carver and Benson rushed to their side.

- Alex?

In Goren's voice there was such concern.

Goren lifted Eames in his arms, leading her out of the courtroom.

- What did I tell you! The rapist and the heathen, a true love story!

Goren raged, but he couldn't react, Alexandra was too badly hurt.

Nicole Wallace passed in front of them, smiling contemptuously, followed by the journalists.

- I'll watch her!

- No Benson, that would be useless! Besides, could you bring me some water for Alex?

Benson wanted to do something, but she held back and went to get some water.

He sat down on a seat, keeping his burden carefully against him.

- This is all I could find, sorry!

Benson handed her a small bottle of water.

- That's okay!

He took the water bottle in his hand, removed the cap, and opened Eames' lips.

He poured the contents little by little.

And little by little the face of Eames took again colors and she half-opened the eyes.

Alex found herself nose to nose with two large brown eyes which contemplated her with concern.

- Alex?

Alex gave Goren a big smile.

Without paying attention to who was around them, she threw herself into his arms, crying her eyes out.

Goren held Alex close, stroking her back, trying to soothe her.

- It's okay Alex, it's all over now!

Rollins smiled at the scene.

Goren really cared about Alex.

Despite everything he had been through, he had kept his hope in Alex knowing that only she could save him!

And she had succeeded!

There was something between these two!

Something very strong, deep, and sincere.
