Chapter 6

Ok, I know I said something different in the previous chapter, but I just can't bring myself to write the stuff with no important reaction. Soo, I am (again) just goint to show the (in my opinion) important stuff.

Vader found out about the whereabouts of the Rebels, currently in his Chamber, but being disturbed by a General.

"What is it, General?" he asked, somewhat miffed at being disturbed.

"My Lord, the fleet has moved out of lightspeed. ComScan has detected an energy field protecting an area of the sixth planet of the Hoth system. It is strong enough to withstand any bombardment."

"The Rebels are alerted to our presence." Vader realized. He could feel his anger growing. "Admiral Ozzel came out of light speed too close to the system."

"I only know too well what Ozzel's incompetence feels like." Said Plo Koon, who had the pleasure of having him as his Admiral.

The General hesitated for a moment. "He- he felt surprise was wiser."

"He is as clumsy as he is stupid." Vader said, his anger showing only briefly before he reined it in.

"I agree." Plo Koon said, unsurprisingly to the others.

Veers was not the object of his ire. No need to take it out on him. "General, prepare your troops for a surface attack."

"Yes my Lord." He replied. The chair Vader sat in turned around in place to face the video screen behind him meditation pod and contacted the bridge of her ship. The screen filled with static until the faces of Admiral Ozzel and Piett appeared.

"Lord Vader." Ozzel said, stepping up to make his report. "The fleet has moved out of light speed, and we're preparing to- " he immediately cut off when he felt his windpipe being crushed.

"What? How is he able to do that? They are ships away from each other?!" Ashoka exclaimed in horror.

"Very powerful he is. Very powerful."

Plon Koon fate a little guilty at the fate of the admiral, but said nothing.

"You have failed me for the last time, Admiral." Vader said through gritted teeth.

He kept up his hold on the man's throat, slowly increasing the pressure. "Captain Piett."

"Yes, my Lord?" Piett said, snapping to attention next to his dying superior.

"Make ready to land our troops beyond their energy field, and deploy the fleet so that nothing gets off the system. You are in command now, Admiral Piett." The last was said as Ozzel collapsed behind Piett, dead by Force Choke.

"Thank you, Lord Vader." he said, trying to look exactly that.

"Something tells me that he is not looking forward to this." Obi wan said a bit sarcastically.

"Can you blame him?" Anakin encountered.

Obi wan shock his head.

They witnessed how the base was attacked, Luke taking out a Walker and he and Artoo being separated from the Han, Leia, Chewie and Threepio. They had, before that, witnessed a rather disturbing kiss, just feeling that is was wrong. Now, while Han & Co. are being chased across the galaxy by the Empire, Luke was on his way to Dagobah.

"Yup, that's it. Dagobah." Artoo beeped behind him. "No, Artoo, I'm not gonna change my mind on this. I'm not picking up any cities or technology. Massive life-form readings, though. There's something alive down there." Questioning beeps. "Yes, I'm sure it's perfectly safe for droids."

"Isn't it a bit strange that Obi wan and Yoda were both not aiding the Allaince?" Shaak Ti asked.

"Yeah, that is a bit strange. I mean, over the of around 20 years, they could have trained force sensitives into becoming Jedi to defeate the Empire." Padme gave her own ideas about that situation.

"And why didn't Obi wan train Luke earlier?" Anakin too didn't understand it.

None of them could answer any of those questions.

"I know! I know! All the scopes are dead. I can't see a thing. Just hang on, I'm gonna start the landing cycle."

Luke's ship got stuck in one of the many swamps.

"He is a trouble magnet like his father." Obi wan joked. Everyone had to agree, except of course-

"Hey! It's not my fault that I have to rescue you all the time."

"I think that is a Master- Padawan thing." Ashoka smirked at her Master.

"When did you rescue me?"

"When you starship was about to crash, shortly before the temple-" Ashoka didn't finish. Thinking about it still hurt.

The other Jedi, having heard Ashoka's comment couldn't help but feel guilty, well except one Master Windu, who was not able to see faults in the Jedi.

After Artoo got stuck in the swamp and came out again, the started searching for that master Yoda.

At the Imperial fleet, within the heart of the flagship, Piett walked into Vader's chambers to find the Dark Lord's meditation pod partially open. He didn't see much more than pale, sickly skin before it was covered by the Dark Lord's signature helmet. He quickly came to attention as Vader turned around and his pod opened fully.

"These wounds look like unhealed burns." Shaak Ti observed.

"We have no one in the Order with those kind of injuries, so they must have been created at a later date." Windu added.

"Maybe they play a part in his turn. After all, he couldn't always have been evil." Plo Koon said.

"But why didn't he heal himself? I mean, he would probably never look the same again, but he would at least look better than he does now." Padme asked confused.

"He is probably the only one who can answer that." Ki Adi Mundi answered her.

"What is it, Admiral?" he asked.

"Our ships have sighted the MillenniumFalcon, my Lord." Piett reported, "However, it has entered an asteroid field and we cannot risk- "

"Asteroids do not concern me, Admiral." Vader interrupted. "I want that ship, not excuses."

"Yes, my Lord." Piett bowed his head as Vader's pod closed.

They saw how Han and Leia had a "conversation". Now they are back on Dagobah.

"Alright, ready for some power?" he asked Artoo as he laid down the supplies. Artko whistled eagerly, so Luke plugged his into a compact generator. "Alright, now we just need to find this Yoda, if he even exists." Luke sat down, pulled a meal box from his bag, and began to eat. "It's really a strange place to find a Jedi Master. This place gives me the creeps. Still, there's something familiar about this place." Artoo whistled curiously. "Hard to explain. It feels like- "

"Feel like what?" a voice said behind them. Luke whipped around, blaster drawn to see a small green being hiding behind his clothes.

"Like we're being watched." he said.

"Master Yoda!"

"Thank the force!"

"Then not all hope is lost."

"You certainly haven't aged well, Master." Anakin couldn't help but say.

"When 900 years old you reach, look so good, you will not, hmm. But right you are. Look so good, I do not." Yoda was actually amused, but also relieved. His future self would probably train Luke.

"Away put your weapon! I mean you no harm." Luke lowered it. "I am wondering, why are you here?"

"I'm looking for someone." Luke said, lowering his pistol slightly.

"Looking? Found someone you have, I would say. Hmm? Heheheh!"

"Right…"

"Help you I can. Yes! Mmm."

"It seems that Master Yoda partly lost his mind." Obi wan said, being reworded with a stick hitting his leg.

"Well, he may have been all alone for over 20 years. That can change a person." Ki Adi Mundi defended.

"I don't think so." Luke said, putting away his blaster. The hermit frowned. "I'm looking for a great warrior."

"Ah! Great warrior."

"Little does Luke know that he is just talking to one." Anakin laughed.

"Wars not make one great." He walked over to Luke's meal box and munched on the food he had been eating.

"Hey! That's my dinner!" Luke pulled the box away before he lost anything else to the stranger.

"Bleh! How you get so big eating food of this kind?" he asked before climbing up onto one of the crates.

"Listen, friend, we didn't mean to land in that puddle, and if we could get our ship out, we would. But we can't, so why don't you just- "

"Aww, can't get your ship out." The hermit mocked before rooting through one of his storage boxes, tossing out things he didn't find interesting.

Anakin was now howling with laugher. Some others joining him.

"Don't do that." Luke groaned, "You're making a mess." He turned around to see the hermit on the ground holding a small lamp, waving it in front of his eyes. "Hey, give me that."

"Mine!" he declared, pulling it out of his immediate reach. "Or I will help you not."

"I don't want your help. I want my lamp back. I'm gonna need to get off this slimy mudhole."

"Mudhole? Slimy? My home, this is."

"Oh my son, you do know how to make a good first impression." He was still laughing.

Than Yoda started fighting Artoo.

Anakin laughed so hard that breathing was becoming difficult.

"Skywalker, that's enough!" Mace scowled the knight.

"Anakin, it is nice that you are enjoining this so much, but you are exaggerating." Obi wan now too found it too much.

Anakin slowly calmed down.

"Sorry, master. I couldn't help myself."

"Yeah, we all saw that Skyguy."

"Now will you move it along little fella? We've got a lot of work to do."

"No! No, no! Stay and help you I will. Find your friend."

"I'm not looking for a friend. I'm looking for a Jedi Master."

The Hermit's eyes widened. "Jedi Master? Yoda! You seek Yoda."

Luke immediately got down on his level. "You know him?"

"Mmmm." He nodded. "Take you to him, I will. Heheheh! But first, we must eat. Come." "Artoo." He sighed. "Stay and watch over the camp."

They saw how Leia and Han finally shared their first kiss, knowing it felt right.

In Vader's Star destroyer:

"And that was the last time they appeared in any of our scopes." The middle hologram said, as the one on his right winked out. "Considering the amount of damage we've sustained, they must have been destroyed."

"No, Captain. They're alive." Vader said firmly. "I want every ship available to sweep the asteroid field until they are found."

The two holograms bowed to him as they winked out, to reveal Admiral Piett walking up to Vader. "Yes, Admiral. What is it?" Vader said casually. "The Emperor commands you to make contact with his." he said.

Vader wasted no time. "Move the ship out of the asteroid field so that we can send a clear transmission."

"Hopefully we will find out who the Emperor is." Anakin commended.

"They're already on it, my Lord."

"Good."

Vader returned to his chambers as the ship left the field and stepped onto a small holo-platform behind his meditation pod. He knelt on the platform and spoke with reverence as the image of the Emperor flickered to life before him.

"What is thy bidding, my Master?"

"Is that..." Padme began.

"Palpatine?!" "He is the Sith Lord?" "He must be behind the war!"

"He…must have been responsible for our creation…" Rex said to himself.

Everyone were shocked. But nothing anyone felt was anything compared to Anakin's feelings.

Anakin mumbled to himself, not realising he was heard by everyone.

"It-it can't be… He is my best friend-"

Ouch! Obi Wan thought.

"My mentor. I saw him as a grandfather. How could he? Why? Why?!"

Now, the only person Anakin 100% loved and trusted was Padme.

Anakin fell to his knees.

Every force sensitive in the Room could feel Anakin's anger and feelings of betrayal.

Obi-wan had lie and deceived him, pretending to be dead, putting the Council above Anakin. Ashoka had abandoned him. And though he did blame the Council, she told him that she has to do this without not only the Council, but also without him. And Palpatine... had he only pretended to be his friend? Was he truly responsible for everything? The whole war? All those deaths and all the suffering?

Was he responsible for the assassinations on Padme's live?

Anakin felt a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"Anakin, it will be alright. I know this must be difficult for you, but please clam yourself."

And Anakin did. But only because he was being watched by almost the whole Council and among those members were two disapproving eyes, were staring down at him.

He forced himself to watch, wanting nothing more but to kill that monster.

Padme wanted nothing more but to comfort her husband, but she forced herself back into her political façade.

"There is a great disturbance in the Force." he said, his voice calm and powerful.

"I have felt it." "We have a new enemy; the young rebel who destroyed the Death Star. I have no doubt this boy is the offspring of Anakin Skywalker.

"How is that possible?"

"Search your feelings, Lord Vader. You will know it to be true. He could destroy us."

"He is just a boy. Obi-Wan can no longer help him."

"The Force is strong with him. The Son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi."

"If he could be turned, he would be a powerful ally." Vader suggested.

"don't you two dare!" Anakin was on the edge.

The Emperor considered the idea briefly. "Yes. He would be a great asset. Can it be done?"

Vader bowed. "He will join us or die, Master."

The Holoron was then paused by Master Windu.

Everyone looked to the Vaapad Master.

"We have to arrest the Chancellor if our Order is supposed to survive and the war supposed to end."

To everyone's astonishment; Anakin was the first to agree.

Everyone else soon followed soon after, except for Yoda.

"Arrest him now, you shall not. Seemed to failed before we have, hmm?" He gestured toward the Holocron. "Know what Palpatine has in his sleeve, we do not. Suspect nothing, he does. Time we still have."

"But Master-"

" .WILL. NOT!"

Everyone knew it was pointless to argue with the grandmaster and they all got his point.

"Even if you would go, stay here, you, Skywalker, would. Too much anger I sense in you. Cloud your judgement it would, hmm."

"I am sorry master, It's just so much to take in."

"Nothing to forgive, there is. Now, continue watching, we should."

"Look, I'm sure it's delicious, but I don't understand why we can't see Yoda now." Lule said, trying hard to keep it from sounding like whining.

"Good food. Hmm? Good food." The Hermit said.

"How far away is Yoda?" Luke said, changing the subject as he quietly added some sugar he always kept on hand to the food "Will it take us long to get there?"

"Not far. Yoda not far." The Hermit assured as he joined him by the fire. "Patience. Soon, you will be with him. Why wish you become Jedi? Hmm? Hmm?"

Luke shrugged. "Mostly because of my father, I guess."

"Ah, father. Powerful Jedi was he. Mmm, powerful Jedi."

Anakin smiled at that. Master Yoda had always respected him, even though their first meeting didn't star that great.

"Oh, come on, how could you know my Father? You don't even know me." Finally, everything boiled over and he lost it, "I don't even know what I'm doing here. We're wasting our time!" Yoda sighed. "I cannot teach him…" he said, "The boy has no patience."

"He will learn patience."

"Much anger in him, like his father." He said.

Anakin could not deny that. The few minutes earlier being enough proof. He was not proud of his anger issues, but sometimes, being angry did help him, like it did with Ashoka ans the worms when he had interrogated Puggle.

"Was I any different when you taught me?"

"No. He is not ready."

Luke's eyes widened. "Yoda…" he nodded. "I am ready. Ben- I can be a Jedi. Ben, tell him I'm-" he tried to stand but forgot how low the ceiling was, bumping his head against it.

"Ready are you?" Yoda questioned, "What know you ready? For 800 years have I trained Jedi."

"My own counsel will I keep on who is to be trained. A Jedi must have the deepest commitment. The most serious mind." He turned and began speaking to the air, specifically Obi-Wan, "This one, a long time have I watched. All his life, has he looked away. To the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he ? What he was doing! Hmph. Adventure. Ha! Excitement. Ha! A Jedi craves not these things. You are reckless!"

„The reckless part reminds me of a certain other Skywalker:" Ashoka teased her former master, who couldn't help but smirk.

"So was I, if you remember."

"General Kenobi and reckless? That has to be a joke!" Rex said. If General Kenobi was reckless, then what about General Skywalker?

"He is too old." He said with finality. "Yes. Too old to begin the training."

"That I agree on." Master Windu said. "We were already uncertain with Skywalker here. Luke is already an adult."

Anakin glared.

"But if he is not getting trained, then what of the Rebellion?" Ashoka asked.

Windu didn't answer.

"But I've learned so much." Luke pleaded.

Yoda sighed. "Will he finish what he begins?" he asked of Obi-Wan.

Luke answered instead. "I won't fail you." Yoda looked at him critically. "I'm not afraid."

"Oh, you will be." He nodded to himself. "You will be."
