Chapter 6
"Why?!"
Marty and Wilhelm were in Wilhelm's car, parked at the beach as they looked at the sunset over the ocean.
"Why would she do that?!" Marty cried. "Rizzo is a bitch and I hate her!"
Wilhelm cocked his head. "She's jealous," he replied. "She sees us, and the way I look at you and… by God she wishes she could have that."
Marty sighed. "I cannot believe her!"
"Don't think about that," he said softly, caressing her cheek and wiping her tears away. "So what if Rizzo is trying to start trouble? That's just her." He smiled. "All that matters is what's happening right now… it's just us."
Marty smiled weakly, her eyes glistening with leftover tears. "I'm just… I don't know…"
"Shhh…" Wilhelm whispered, stroking her hair gently. "Shhh… she's not here." He kissed her forehead. "I don't care what that Rizzo says," he said gently. "You could be flirting with bloody Eisenhower for all I care. That doesn't matter because… Martina, I…". He smiled. "Because I love you," he said slowly.
Marty leaned in. "Wilhelm…" she said tenderly.
"I can't help it… you are simply the most fantastic…"
"Shhh…" Marty whispered, pressing her finger gently to his lips. "Wait…". She placed a hand behind his head. "Wait…". She leaned in slowly, her eyelashes glistening in the light of the setting sun.
That was when they kissed.
Wilhelm enjoyed her soft, full lips, and then trailed his kisses across her jawline.
Marty's lips parted slightly as she shuddered in bliss, tilting her head back and allowing Wilhelm to kiss the soft, delicate skin of her neck. She moaned softly as he did so, her heart racing as he trailed kisses along her shoulder and caressed her neck. He kissed her lips again, and after a few moments, broke off.
Marty was breathless… stunned… she'd never been kissed like that! "This is all I wanna do… just be with you. All day. All night," she said breathlessly. "I love you… so much…"
Wilhelm smiled, pulling out a beautiful, elaborate ring from his pocket. "When I got my class ring," he said, I had a smaller replica made."
Marty's heart sank momentarily. "For… for Patty?"
Wilhelm smiled. "I'm afraid I don't know anyone by that name."
"Wilhelm…" Marty said softly.
He cleared his throat. "This was before she and I started dating," he said. "I won't lie… she wore it… but you know what happened with her."
Marty smiled. "Of course I'll wear it," she said. "Wilhelm, this is why I love you. You're not like… like…"
"Like what?"
"This is a happy moment," she said softly. "I'll explain later."
Wilhelm simply held his new girlfriend close and smiled as she cuddled into him, running his fingers up and down her spine.
