Aya dragged the chair down the corridor towards the foyer. As she was, she heard a sobbing emanating from her father's room. It sounded like a woman. She placed the chair upright, and carefully opened the door. But when she looked in the room, she saw nothing. She cautiously entered the room, but as she passed the doorway, a woman appeared in front of her! She had the same corpse-like skin as the ghouls, though it was paler. Her hair was brown and wavy, and reached down to the base of her neck. She wore a white apron over a red dress, and a matching bonnet. Her eyes were clouded over, and bloodshot, and bloody tears streamed down her face. "GIVE ME BACK MY DAUGHTER!" she screamed at the top of her lungs, and vanished without a trace.

Shaken, Aya slowly made her way around the room, trying to see if there was anything useful in there. Her father's room was far more extravagant than hers. His bed had a canopy hanging over it, made of elaborately decorated red and gold cloth. His was made of gold, and had elaborate detailing on it. Even Aya thought it was a bit much. Atop the dresser was an ornately decorated lamp and a can containing the Doctor's medicine. The other side of the room had an open steamer trunk for his business trips. The far side of the room near the window had a bookcase lined with books, a candelabra, and a clock. At the top was a radio.

The wall was lined with various portraits the Doctor had purchased over the years. Next to the case was an ornate golden dial-lock safe-again, a bit much-that Aya didn't remember the combination to. She couldn't shake the feeling its contents could be important somehow. Next to the safe was an attaché case, also for business. The only other thin of note was a mirror with drawers, for the Doctor's morning preparations. He always prided himself on looking as professional as possible.

A glint caught Aya's eye as she looked about the room, a glow was emanating from the windowsill. Another gemstone. As she went to grab it, the woman from earlier appeared again.

"Give me back my daughter." She demanded more quietly this time, her voice full of rage. Aya backed away slowly. She wondered who this woman was. Was her daughter a patient?

"Who are you?" Aya said, hoping to learn more about the strange spirit. "What happened to your daughter?"

"He… he took her. Collina, my baby, he- "The woman struggled to get the words out. "S-she went missing one day, we were out in the woods, she was playing with her friends. I-I only looked away for a second, I dropped something, and when I looked back, she was gone!" She was clearly struggling to get the words out. The story was painful. "I looked everywhere, but I couldn't find her, she couldn't have gone far, it'd only been a few minutes. I w-went to Doctor Drevis; his home was nearby. I-I asked him if he'd seen her. He said he'd get the p-police. They searched everywhere, for days but they couldn't find her anywhere! I started hearing rumors from around town. People going missing, patients without family never coming back, I tried to tell the police, but they didn't believe me! They said his house wasn't close enough to where she went missing, that they didn't have permission to search! went to his house to confront him and- "The ghostly woman broke down into sobs, resting her face in her hands.

Aya walked up to her, and placed her hand on her arm. She had no idea how to comfort someone in this position. "I-I'll look for your daughter."

The woman looked up, a look of relief on her face. "Oh, thank you!" She ran up and hugged Aya, who was mildly uncomfortable given that the woman covered in blood. Fortunately, it didn't seem the ghostly blood wiped off on her dress. "Oh, I don't even know what she'll look like now! She's blonde, w-with gray eyes, a-and- "The woman proceeded to give various details about her daughter, most of which didn't sound very helpful, especially if she was a subject. Who knew what state she was in now? Aya tried her best to remember them regardless.

With that, she departed the room, and started back down the hallway towards the foyer.
