Ziva sat there in her bed. She couldn't sleep with Gibbs constantly staring her down. She decided to say something.
"Gibbs?"
"Yeah?"
"Are we any closer to catching Ilan?"
Gibbs debated whether to tell her the news. it wasn't exactly good news.
"Ziva. You're benched." He said plainly.
Ziva's jaw hung while her eyebrows were knitted.
"We can't allow you to continue investigating."
"Why?"
"Rule ten. Among other things."
"Gibbs. He was my father. Ilan killed him. He was the only family I had left. I want my revenge and now you will not allow me to get my revenge?"
"Yeah."
"But Gibbs. He deserves to die slowly and painfully. He killed my father!"
"Ziva. We'll be sure that it happens."
"No. I want to do it. I want to kill him. I want my sweet revenge. Why won't you let me have it!?"
"Because. We don't think that it's a good idea."
"Why?"
"Hell Ziva. Can't you just see we do this for your own good. Ilan is your target. Putting you out there will just make sure he gets to it. I am doing this to keep you safe."
"I am safe Gibbs! I can look after myself Gibbs!"
"Haha. Yeah. Sure you can." He laughed sarcastically.
"But-"
"No more Ziva." He glared at her.
Just then, the front door opened. It was Ducky and Tony. Gibbs and Ziva didn't know that so Gibbs pulled out his gun and walked to the front door slowly. As if he were clearing a crime scene.
When Ducky saw Gibbs at the top of the stairs with his gun drawn, he jumped.
"Oh. Jethro. You scared me. Anthony is only just able to go home. He needs to be closely monitored at all times until his concussion is settled."
Gibbs walked down the stair slowly.
"You should keep your voices down." He whispered.
"Why is that?"
"Ziva."
"Oh."
Hearing Gibbs say her name made Tony's eyes light up. He began to push past Gibbs towards the stairs but got stopped at the first step.
Gibbs looked at him and shook his head. But it was too late anyways because they heard a loud crash coming from Ziva's room.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
Ziva was curious as to what was going on. But she then heard Ducky say that Anthony had been discharged, she had to see him. She got out of bed and began to make her way towards the stairs. She was holding on to everything she could cling on to. The wall, bookshelves, tables. She almost made it out of the room before she collapsed on the floor making a loud crashing sound. It hurt but she didn't make a sound and she got right back up as if it were nothing and she proceeded until she reached the top of the stairs where she was met by Gibbs, Ducky and Tony looking flustered.
"Ziva. What the hell are you doing?!" Gibbs barked.
"I heard Tony was here."
"Ah hell you two."
Tony walked up to Ziva and gave her a kiss. He didn't really care what Gibbs thought anymore. Ducky looked at Gibbs confused.
"Don't look at me Duck." He whispered.
"You ok? You sounded like an elephant over there."
"Yes. I am fine. I just fell." Ziva explained casually.
"You what?!" Gibbs frowned. Sometimes he couldn't believe what that woman was capable of.
"I fell. It's nothing."
Ducky couldn't believe what he was witnessing.
"I think it best for you two to get back to bed." Ducky suggested.
"Can I-" Ziva started.
"No." Gibbs cut in. "DiNozzo you will sleep downstairs.
"Aw boss. I'm scared of non heights!" He whined.
"No. Now you two. Go to bed! Now!" Gibbs growled.
He helped Ziva back to bed and Ducky didn't the same with Tony. As happy as he was for them, he was getting pissed. He was sort of afraid that their relationship with each other would interfere with their work. It was starting to show.
Going their separate ways, they were both thing of each other. They may have been dreaming about each other. They missed each other. They had been through so much together. From almost killing one another, to getting tortured together in Horn of Africa. There was no doubt about it. They were beloveds.
