Chapter 6
Hotch walked into the cabin of the BAU jet last and actually smiled at the sight of JJ and Emily fussing over the two babies in their car seats secured next to them on two of the planes seats. Sitting down next to Rossi
"Motherhood suits them both well." Smiled Hotch
Rossi looked around his seat and smiled as he watched his two attentive friends. "I think it will complete them both. Look at them, they both adore those two little girl's already and they have only known them three days. Vanessa and Ellie will want for nothing they are two really lucky little ladies." The grandfatherly Italian smiled
Reid looked across at JJ and Emily, he was ecstatic for his friends but felt a knot of sadness in his heart from leaving the brilliant blonde 10 year old in the group home. He could see himself in that bright 10 year old. Smart and shy all alone in the foster system, his issues with his walking would deter many potential families from picking him. He decided he would ask Hotch for some leave and return to Story City and visit Henry this upcoming weekend, his mother would understand if he used his leave to visit someone else.
The jet had been in the air for 30 minutes when Derek made a very smelly mistake. He hadn't really noticed how tired Emily and JJ where. Both twins awoke at exactly the same time so Emily took Ellie into the planes bathroom while JJ changed Vanessa on her changing mat laid on the seat.
"Come on Blondie let me past, your blocking the aisle." Whinged Morgan who wanted to refill his scotch glass.
JJ looked up from changing Vanessa and crumpled up the wet wipe she had just used to wipe her foster daughters bottom and flung it at Morgan, hitting him squarely in his face. Nothing needed to be said by JJ her eyes communicated everything she need to say at that very moment.
Morgan look shocked and speechless after the baby wipe hit his face, he opened his mouth to complain but decided he should return to his seat in silence. The remainder of the jet burst out into deep belly laughs at the scene just played out in front of them.
JJ had returned a clean and changed Vanessa to her seat and sat down throwing Morgan the pack of wet wipes to clean his face.
"I am sorry Mama JJ, it won't happen again." Apologised a contrite Derek "best shot in the BAU with baby wipes as well!"
After Emily had returned to her seat every one fell asleep until the plane hit turbulence which woke the two little princess's, also waking the whole plane. Thankfully an hour later the jet had landed at Quantico, both babies fell asleep finally and the plane was thankfully quite again.
As promised Emily had phoned her mother so she could pick them up at the Quantico airstrip. The team waited on the plane with JJ and Emily for her mother to arrive.
"Emily your mother is here," smirked Rossi "A stretch hummer just arrived."
"Stretch Hummer?" Emily asked shrugging her shoulders
"Your mother just got out of it." Rossi's grin broadened
Emily looked out the planes window and her face instantly reddened in embarrassment at the sight of Elizabeth Prentiss waving.
"Someone please shoot me now."mumbled Emily
JJ and Emily carried the two baby carriers down the planes stairs after saying goodbye to the team. They walked over to the stretch Hummer just in time to see Garcia standing up through the sunroof of the hummer.
"Get those two cuties in here now! They need Aunty Penny's cuddles." Shouted the over excited tech analyst
JJ was now as red as her wife walking towards the huge white stretch Hummer.
"Mother, A stretch Hummer, a bit much don't you think?" Emily complained
"Nonsense Emily, safety is important when we are transporting my granddaughter's about. I have bought you a Mazda CX-30 for transporting them it is the safest SUV on the market at the moment. As your in need of a new car." Smiled Elizabeth.
"Thank you Elizabeth, it was very thoughtful." Smiled JJ
Emily loaded both babies into the hummer to hide her embarrassment, she was very thankful to her mother but just wished she had chosen a little smaller vehicle.
EJ
Bobby Miller sat in the back of the panel van with Eleanor Shepherd travelling to Washington. They had 30 days remaining before they where due to hand Ellie and Vanessa Straddler over to the Smith's. Things had gotten a little more serious for them as they looked at the two enforcers the ring had sent. Shaun Murphy and Karen Murphy were a sign failure would mean a painful death.
Jody Klarr and Adele Murrin both retired FBI agents who now worked for the ring had been dispatched to help with the current problem.
"We have only one option, snatch the children from the Jareau's. We grab them and hunker down whilst the Amber alert is active. Once they wind the alert down, we start to move the girls to the exchange." Bobby announces
"We have another way, we get one of them arrested for a serious offence, assault or drug usage. That will invalidate their foster parent status. The girls would be taken back into care whilst CPS carry out an investigation. We will insist they are returned to Story City, they would disappear at some stage. Lee can earn his protection money for a change and come up with a couple of suspects and witnesses to the abduction. Keeping myself above suspicion. Looking at Jody I have the start of a plan." Smiled Eleanor "I'll make them both pay, for making me look stupid."
Eleanor outlined her idea to the group hoping it would be enough. With the help of the ex-FBI agents a plan was formulated. Phone calls had been placed activating other assets in the area to help.

"Mother, it's beautiful thank you." Emily emotionally kissed her mother
"Oh, Elizabeth it's amazing. Thank You ever so much the girls will love it." JJ thanks her Mother-in-law
JJ and Emily stood in the girls new nursery in the Prentiss mansion. The walls covered in fairy tale characters with the two girls names carved into the headboard of their cot. The ambassador had gone overboard with the furniture.
"I know I have gone a little mad, I never though I would be a grandmother with Emily being a lesbian. So I want you both to know, I will be spoiling those little ladies terribly." Smiled a very proud grandmother
Neither Emily or JJ replied to Elizabeth they just both hugged the ambassador and kissed her on the cheek. Emily was proud of her mother for once in her life.
"JJ, Emily, I would like you both to move in here. I would love to be a big part of Vanessa's and Ellie's life's. I intend to resign as a US ambassador and help you with my grand daughters when you are both on cases if you will let me help you?" The ambassador told them
Both Emily and JJ were speechless at what Elizabeth had just told them.
"Mother!" Was all Emily managed
"Emily! Let's face it I was a terrible parent I allowed my job to take priority over you. I missed your first steps, your first word and many other significant moments in your life. I will not miss a single thing with Vanessa and Ellie if you will allow me?" Her mother emotionally told her daughter.
Emily hugged her mother with tears forming in her eyes. JJ let a single tear fall at the sight of her wife hugging her mother.
"Sniff, Sniff." JJ was a little emotional at the sight in front of her.
"Ma'am excuse me, their is a Chief Erin Strauss at the door to see Agent's Jareau." The butler told the ambassador
"Show her into the sun room. we will be down momentarily." The ambassador told Gerald.
EJ
Jody Klarr watched Erin Strauss drive up to the security hut at the gates of the Prentiss mansion. The security was excellent around the perimeter of the house. This confirmed that that Jennifer and Emily Prentiss where staying here. Adele had been outside the Jareau's condo waiting to see if they came home.
Where they stayed didn't matter to the plan, the security at the mansion just made surveillance a little harder but not impossible. Now was the boring part, watching them to find any patterns.
"Adele, they are at the mansion, Strauss has just come to visit with two massive teddy bears on her back seat. There is a park three blocks away reposition yourself at the park. We will see if they take the twins out there." Jody told her partner.
Jody only knew Emily Jareau by reputation, but Jennifer Jareau she knew her from afar. She had sat in the BAU bull pen for three months whilst injured. Observing the blonde and her very close unit, she knew the team had to be controlled while they carried out their plan.
EJ
Erin Strauss walked into the sunroom followed by two members of staff carrying two massive teddy bears.
"Agents, I brought these little chaps for the girls." Strauss smiled
The bright purple and orange bears had the names of the girls embroidered across their chests. The bears where big enough for the girls to comfortably sleep in their laps.
"Thank you, Ma'am they are very big." Smirked JJ
"Your welcome. I have granted you both two months maternity leave with effect from today. That should give you plenty of time to bond with the girls and complete your required training. I don't want to see you at the BAU during your leave the guys can manage while your gone." Strauss informed her agents
JJ and Emily where both speechless, neither woman excepted Strauss to be so accommodating over their leave.
"Thank you so much Ma'am, that would be superb." JJ replied happily
"Would it be possible to see them? I never managed too while we where in Story City I was busy with the D.A and Tania Miller." Strauss asked
"Follow us up to the nursery Ma'am, it's about time for them to wake up." Emily told her.
Erin Strauss walked into the nursery smiling, no one in the FBI knew a 17 year old Erin Strauss had become pregnant and had a beautiful brunette daughter. She had died due to her 18 year old father falling asleep. Sarah her daughter was crawling, Danny the father was high and had forgotten to close the basement door. Sarah crawled through the open door and fell down the stairs. The fall had seriously injured her daughter whom eventually succumbed to her injuries in the paediatric intensive care unit three long days later.
Strauss liked Emily and Jennifer, she was a hard ass to them both but respected them both. She would never let them know that little point as it showed weakness. The FBI was a very big mens club and extremely difficult for women.
EJ
Jody and Adele sat parked down the street from the entrance to the Prentiss estate.
"The park is ideal to take the children, we will follow them and find out their routine. We use Shaun and Karen to help us, we can use the married couple ruse. We take the next 10 days to follow them and then confirm the exact details of the attack. All safe house's are now all ready and manned and the captain of the Macaw is all set. If they fuck up again, it's a bullet to the back of the head." Jody just shrugged her shoulders with indifference, she didn't really care either outcome was fine with her.
EJ
Over the past week JJ and Emily had gotten into a routine, they took the girls down to the local park twice a day making the most of the sunny weather. Unbeknownst to the married couple they had been under observation from their first trip to the park. Jody Klarr wearing a brunette wig was hand in hand with Shaun Murphy today sat on a nearby park bench observing Emily and JJ. The two FBI agents had fully immersed themselves into motherhood and forgotten about any form of counter surveillance.
"So we are all set then?" Shaun asked as he kissed Jody's head
"Yeah, as long as the weather is fine. The forecast is for a week's worth of sun, I think this Monday should be good. The authorities have a full working week. Setting things up will only take 10 minutes a further 1 hour to get things edited. Once we start she should be in cuffs within 3 hours and once her arrest is leaked to the press CPS should get involved after they receive an anonymous copy of the video." Jody smiled "sooner the better, I hate Washington."
"For a ex-federal agent you are one very sneaky and soulless woman." Shaun told her
"Why thank you Shaun, I was only a mediocre agent, I found employment with a lot less rules and paperwork was just what I needed, it also helped that I'm an evil soulless bitch." She smiled
EJ
"Hello Henry it's Spencer, I plan on flying down to visit you this weekend if that is ok with you?" Reid asked in trepidation
"You called me Spencer, no one has ever kept their promises. I would love to see you again. The other children are always making fun of my legs. I try and stay in my room and read. Could you bring me some books that are more at my reading level?...I hate it here Spencer!" Henry cried out to Spencer
"Don't cry Henry. I will be there Friday afternoon and I fly back Sunday afternoon. How about I ask if you can stay with me at my hotel? I can book a room with two beds that way you can stay away from your frightening house mates." Spencer told his crying friend
"Spencer!"
"Yes Henry." Answered Reid
"Thank you for keeping your promise to me. I can't wait for Friday afternoon." Henry excitedly told the genius.
Reid hung up after the call and just sat down and let his mind wonder back to his childhood. He remembered all the times he felt unwanted and a freak, just because he could calculate things in his own head faster then his school mates using their calculator's. He also remembered his awkwardness around the opposite sex. He missed so much by going through high school and college so quickly.
Spencer Reid at that moment in his life decided to do something without thinking about the possible outcome and the percentages. He would try and bring Henry to Washington to live with him. He could guide him through the difficult times with the help of his BAU family.
"Morgan. I need a two bedroom property, do you have one?" Reid asked his friend
"Why do you need a two bed, Kid?" A surprised Morgan asked
"I want to bring Henry to Washington." He answered simply
Morgan was surprised at Reid's statement for a second. He smiled to himself knowing he would be more a big brother to Henry than a dad.
"I have two Reid but they are not finished yet. Ask Emily and JJ they are living at the Prentiss mansion, you could use the Condo if they agree." Morgan replied "you would make a great father figure Reid."
EJ
A very apprehensive Reid sat opposite the ambassador in the drawing room while they waited for Emily and JJ to finish putting the girls down after feeding them.
"Dr Reid, you look like your sat waiting for the Principal. Are you feeling ok?" A worried ambassador asked
Reid started his monologue about Henry and his plan. The ambassador listened until he finished and gave him a warm smile
"I think that's very commendable Dr Reid. I could help you with CPS like I did with Jennifer and Emily if you would like?" Asked the Ambassador
"Thank you Ambassador and it's Spencer." He smiled
"It would be my pleasure, Spencer, please call me Elizabeth. I am no longer a U.S ambassador I resigned my position earlier today." Smiled the ex-ambassador
"I need to ask Emily and JJ If they would rent me the condo so I have two bedrooms. I have asked Morgan, but his properties are no where near finished..." he is interrupted by a set of key's landing in his lap.
"All yours Spencer, we will get everything that's left there put into storage. I think it's amazing what your doing for Henry." JJ hugs the genius
Emily just leans in and kissed him on the cheek and smiled.
