Sup guys? Time for another chapter of Spark of War. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Avatar, Nick, Michael Dante DiMartino, and Bryan Konietzko do.

Ty Lee ran a brush through her hair and pulled one of her slippers over her foot. She sighed and hummed to herself.

"Hao sure had a bright aura to him today." Ty Lee said while looking to the side. "I'm starting to wonder if it was fate that made him come." Ty Lee said and blinked to herself.

Ty Lee knew many people didn't like her. They either thought her ridiculous, freaky or both.

Hao, though? The young General rather enjoyed her performances. He always came to see her when she preformed a show. It made her happy seeing her old friend every time she preformed a show.

It felt like a good omen. Ty Lee wondered what would become of the general. She was no soldier; Ty Lee knew she had next to no military experience. She did know however, how to fight, combat was something almost everyone in the Fire Nation understood.

"Hmm, maybe I should send some tickets to the next show." Ty Lee muttered to herself.

She knew Hao adored the shows. He'd come to support her. If Ty Lee ever sent one? He'd come because she asked about it. It was something that warmed her heart to see when it happened. Things were so bemusing in her mind.

Then again? Maybe she was just weird like that and didn't understand anything.

(With Hao)

Hao dodged an arrow aimed at his head and launched another wave of fire at the Earthbenders who fell back.

This siege was drawing his forces out of hiding. Hao knew very well that the longer it dragged on? The longer that it would take to defeat their forces… And the more lives that could be lost in the process.

Hao sighed and sent a fireball into one of the Earthbending soldiers who fell to the ground. Hao did approve of their tactic of defensive warfare. It was something that could quite well be effective if he hadn't closed the gap.

"Sir, their lines look like their breaking!" Hao heard which caused him to look around.

The Earthbenders were slowly retreating, but it wasn't a rout. Hao knew blasted well they were simply trying to set up another defensive line.

If given enough time? This battle would turn into a full-blown siege, and he had neither the men… Nor the ruthlessness of someone willing to throw lives away to secure victory.

"Keep pressing the advantage!" Hao bellowed as he slowly trudged forward. "Push them back!" Hao yelled before looking around for where the general was.

Their general was the key to ending this fight quickly as painlessly as possible. Hao didn't know if they were pragmatic… Or a coward, because he saw none of them in the battlefield.

They had to be hunted down and captured. Then and only then would this conflict be over.

"WHERE ARE YOU, GENERAL?!" Hao asked and looked around the battlefield. "Don't tell me the general of these brave Earthbenders is too afraid to fight? I expected a general who could rip men in half without even touching them." Hao said while he turned and hummed.

There was far more work to be done… And Hao hated it, but the only way he and his men would win would be to keep fighting.

"GENERAL!" Hao yelled only for a massive boulder to be thrown at him. "There you are." Hao stated and sprang to his feet.

He turned to see a hulking brute of a man. No doubt the general in charge of this army.

'Does every Earthbending general have to be solid muscle?" Hao asked himself and got no answer.

Then again? He didn't expect one, or much of anything of an answer to his question.

The hulking man approached the smaller and much younger general. Hao didn't flinch, he didn't retreat or even consider it despite knowing this fight would be rather tough and dangerous for him when it came down to it.

He shook his head and simply pondered to himself what would be done next. The general would fall by his hand, that much he was going to make sure of.

"Do you know how many times the Fire Nation has tried to take us down?" The general asked Hao who said nothing at the minute.

"And do you know how far you've been losing?" How asked in answer and got a hulking rock thrown towards his head.

He rolled to the side to avoid it and watched the boulder smash into a wall, smashing it to sand. Hao stood up and prepared for another fight with the Earth Kingdom once more.

This battle would test his resolve and he wouldn't back down or surrender from it at all.

Hao sighed and launched another fireball which was swiftly countered.

The general sent a barrage of boulders at him which was met by a sigh and hum.
