ESKK: Well new chapter let's begin this story!
(Start Republic Cruiser)
"I must confess these Tenno are resourceful." Mace said as he and Obi-Wan were walking by as despite few in numbers among this invasion the Tenno were proving to be a valuable asset to them.
"I concur though I find myself still apprehensive on their aid of us." Obi-Wan said as he knew the truth about them which made him skeptical at best.
"Well word came in that the Republic and Separatists are both sending representatives to convince the Tenno to side with either or." Mace said hoping the Tenno would opt to side with the Republic less they see the Mandalorian War reborn.
"So I've heard." Obi-Wan said until they saw Zayne squads of Tenno approached the duo.
"Blue Team here to provide aid to your invasion General Kenobi." Zayne greeted as he treated this professionally like a soldier.
"Good your aid will be greatly needed for what's to come as is your knowledge on the Grineer." Obi-Wan said as he looked to Zayne.
"We're just waiting for the other squad who will be assisting General Windu with his mission." Zayne said as Mace didn't hear about this. "Orders from both the Lotus and the High Council to try and establish peaceful relations." Zayne said with an added lair for the Tenno to see which side of the Clone Wars the Tenno would best serve in aiding.
"Well then I'll happily accept the aid." Mace said until the other Squad approached.
"I suppose that's them." Obi-Wan said as in turn they saw a Nyx, Hildryn, Gauss, and Trinity Warframes approach them with Nyx leading the group.
"Oh it's her." Zayne said and thus Nyx did the Tenno version of a salute.
"Red Team is here which one of you is Mace Windu." The Nyx Warframe greeted as she looked to the two Jedi.
"That would be me." Mace gestured and thus Nyx nodded.
"A pleasure to meet you General I'm Muriel." Muriel began as she went for introductions. "That's our tech and demolition expert Ariel, our field medic Lula, and our scout Icarus." Muriel introduced the Hildreyn, Trinity, and Gauss Warframes in that order.
"Anyway the key to this is getting your troops on the ground but you'll need information on this, information Roland has managed to retrieve." Zayne said and thus Zayne proceeded to show a holographic image of the data. "The Grineer are turning this place to a factory world to mine materials and they produce weapons." Zayne said as he showed the initial images of the Grineer factories before switching the image to the Capital city. "They intend to turn the Capital into their primary fortress and leading it is Grineer Commander Van'Lux he's a ruthless one and ever since we took out their previous military head honcho they're has been a bit of a power vacuum in that regard." Zayne explained to which Mace had a thought.
"If that's the case why not capitalize on this." Mace said to which Zayne sighed in response.
"Because the Grineer Queens are their highest leaders and already she has deployed a new leadership for their military not only to regain lost ground but also gain new ground called Kuva Litch basically Grineer Super Soldiers." Zayne said as he looked to them. "Most of the Kuva Litch's are either still in Origin or 10 feed under their near impossible to kill without a Tenno on deck." Zayne explained as best he could about the Kuva Litch.
"Good to know." Obi-Wan said filing that bit of information for later.
"I suggest you send a Tenno team down first to clear you some space, and Blue Team is willing and able to do just that." Zayne said as he looked to the Jedi showing he and his squad were more than willing to do the job.
"Our plan was to send our Troops down with you close behind in fact." Obi-Wan said and thus the Tenno nodded to this.
"That can work." Zayne said as Tenno worked best in squads of four save for certain situations that required more than Four Tenno.
"Red team will be aiding General Windu on his part of the Invasion battle we just need to talk strategy on that one." Muriel said showing she was ready to fight as well.
"Good." Mace said and thus they all began to make their way to their rides down. "We'll need all the help and information we can get our hands on." Mace added knowing the more aid they had the more advantages they can utilize against the Grineer. And if this operation goes right then the Tenno might be willing to aid the Republic against the Separatists.
"Now the trick will be to get your men on the ground." Zayne said knowing it was going to be a tough landing.
"If you take the City of Nabat first, we'll have our landing zone." Mace said as that was a reasonable idea.
"Well, it's time to meet the natives and see the damages." Obi-Wan said as he was going to get a firsthand look of how much toxic waste the Grineer use on a planet.
(Meanwhile Grineer Encampment)
The Grinner were well underway as they had scouted the area for their next factory. "You must not let those Tenno maggots and their allies to reach the surface." The Grineer Commander said through the communications.
"Our new Cannons are in position to make those Tenno Scum regret making an enemy of us." The Captain in charge said as he then stood up. "As an added bonus our cannons are protected by a living shield of the native prisoners." He said showing he thought ahead. "The Clone Troopers of this Republic wont risk a direct assault for this and the Tenno can't save them all before we overwhelm them." The Captain said as he was not going to allow the Tenno any hope of victory.
(Meanwhile on the Gunship)
Obi-Wan and Blue Team were in the Gunship with a group of Clones as they flew through the sky to their destination. "We need to remember why we're here. We came to aid the Twi'leks and save their world not finish the Grineer's work." Obi-Wan explained as they flew through the sky.
"Now listen up." Zayne said cutting in as he looked to them. "The Grineer are clones but unlike you guys the Grineer's cloning is defective causing them to be born with genetic defects left and right. To compensate the Grineer utilizes Cybernetics so that means a well-placed Droid Popper will debilitate them or if you're lucky kill them with it." Zayne said telling what he knows of them. "They are ruthless and unlike Droids they can move like actual soldiers." Zayne explained as he looked to the Clones. "Watch your six and exercise caution." Zayne said and in turn Cody stepped in on this.
"That also means No rockets or detonators. Keep an eye out for the locals. Are we clear?" Cody said as the clones said, "Sir Yes Sir!"
One clone with a beard sighed to this as he said to one of his brothers near him, "If we're here to free the tail-heads, the least they can do is get out of our way."
Zayne spoken up and went on saying, "In other news we have enemy intelligence, the leader of the Grineer is named Van'Lux and he is one of the worst Grineers we know of. Not afraid to kill the local of any world and use some of his prisoners or fellow Grineer as shields so that mean we need to get in and strike fast before they have a chance to retaliate, take out Van'Lux the moment the chance presents itself and take out the rest."
Blue team nodded as they understood the mission with the clone understand as well and no need to have them say they understood them as one way or other there will be blood, and hopefully it will just be the Grineer's blood.
(Grinner Encampment)
The Grineer forces were leading the Twi'Leks in place, near the center of the guns by order of this detachments captain, to help make sure the plan of total world domination is keep in place, as he sees the republic ships overhead, he wasn't worry about them, not yet anyways it was more of the Tennos to watch out for as there are reason why they are the best warriors in the entire universe few in number of strength they make up in skill and power.
Soon enough one of the Grineer foot soldier walk up to the commander and said, "The enemies are within firing Range, Lieutenant."
"Fire upon them, destroy everything," the Lieutenant said as soon enough all the gunners got the message and began to fire upon the ships above, as one of the ship lost an engine and slowly going down.
(Inside the main ship)
The crew inside felt the Grineer forces fire upon them as one of the clone officers said to Mace Windu, "General, the enemy fire is penetrating our shields."
"Get me Kenobi," Mace said as he knew he and blue team need to take those guns out a.s.a.p.
(With Obi-wan and blue team)
Mace Windu given Kenobi the situation as he went on saying, "We can't risk landing the larger transports until you take out those guns."
"Have your forces pull back, we will take care the guns on the surface," Zayne said as he knew there was little to no choice as they need to do it now or never as mace hang up Obi-wan asked the clones and Tennos, "Who's up for a challenge. We're not getting any reinforcements until those guys are out of commission."
"Blue squad will do what we can, and will meet the rest of us on the ground with troops of their own, to help even out the odds." Zayne said as Obi-wan nodded and said, "Thank you."
"Here we go again," the same close that the clone with the beard was talking too as he prepare himself for combat.
the transport ship keep pushing on as some of them gotten close out of the sky's, they still keep going, with the orbiters were flying above avoiding enemy fire.
(Grinner Encampment)
"Lieutenant, the Republic transports have turn away, but landing ships are still coming towards us," a Grineer said to his leader as he said, "All according to plan, get ready for the next step."
(Gunships)
The doors on the gunships opened up and from them. In turn the Tenno saw this and knew what to do next. They then jumped out and summoned their K-Boards and began riding to their enemy. The Clones were of course surprised and impressed by such a tactic as they made their way ahead of the Gunships.
(With the Tenno)
"Welcome to Ryloth!" Titus called out as he rode and weaved through the trees.
"Why say that now we aren't getting shot out yet!" Nico called out until they saw a wall coming up ahead. When they got to the wall gunfire began as the Tenno quickly got off their K-Boards and got to cover. Once they got to cover they saw the bunker blocking their path to proceed.
"You were saying?" Roland asked as the group had weapons drawn. Zayne was seen with a Katana weapon called a Nikana while Titus had switched his hammer for a powerful axe called the Scindo both had done so before the mission had started. The Grineer had set up multiple turrets which were now blocking their path as they rained bullets down on them. "The Clones aren't going to make it past those if we don't take care of it now!" Roland added knowing full well they had to break this defensive line but how.
"Nico draw their fire, Roland you and I will circle around her, Titus charge them!" Zayne ordered and thus the group had their plan.
In turn Nico came out of hiding and began using her skills over magnetism to draw the bullets torts her defensive wall. Once that was done the bullets began to form up as they Grineer kept firing. Once this was done Zayne and Rolland began to circle around Nico as they went to either side of the wall. They easily used their weapons to block the incoming attacks with ease before bullet jumping onto the wall. Once they were on the wall they began slicing and firing their way through their foes. Zayne was then firing at the Grineer with his current primary arm the Stardavar to fire off short bursts at the Grineer. From the other side Roland was using his side arms the Dual Cestra and firing at the Grineer as they attacked.
Seeing the chance Nico fired off the gathered bullets returning them to their owners taking out even more of the Grineer. "Anytime Titus!" Nico called out just before Titus charged in with a mighty roar at the gate.
Once Titus hit the doorway he blasted it apart and began to laugh a bit. "That was easy!" Titus said while walking out before punching his fists together.
"Operator!" Ordis was heard causing Zayne to perk up.
"What is it Ordis?" Zayne asked as he wondered what Ordis had to tell him.
"I've detected Void Energy in the area." Ordis said causing the Tenno to go wide eyed to this.
"A Void Key?" Nico asked until her Cephalon responded.
"No it's something different, I dare say it's similar to a Tenno signature." The female Cephalon named, Morgana spoke causing the four to go wide eyed.
"What's a Tenno doing all the way here?" Titus asked until his Operator spoke.
"I'm not sure because there isn't supposed to be one here until you guys got there!" The gruff Cephalon belonging to Titus, Jacque, said as he was quiet rude about it.
Just then they saw movement and in turn and saw the Clones had arrived causing Obi-Wan to see the bloodbath. "Hey took you boys long enough." Nico said as shew smirked at the arriving Clones.
"Come on we need to keep moving." Zayne said knowing full well they had a job to do. Zayne then muted is audio before speaking to Ordis. "Ordis keep us posted on that Void Signature." Zayne ordered and thus Ordis obeyed.
"Yes Operator." Ordis responded and kept his optics and sensors peeled for the signature as did the other Cephalons.
(Later the Grineer Encampment)
"Lieutenant, I've lost contact with our outer defenses." The Grineer Drone said as he reported what he learned.
"Send a scout team to the location and find out what our enemies are planning!" The Lieutenant said as he glared at the drone who understood.
"Yes sir." The Drone said before taking his leave of them.
(Later)
After the Tenno and Clones had cleared out the village and secured the area they took a bit to breath as they knew that was the easy part. They had only been here for a little bit and already they saw the initial signs of the damage the Grineer have done to the delicate ecosystem. It wasn't much but it was a sign to show they had to take back this planet before it gets worse.
"Looks like they've only started construction here that's good if the reports are right, they only have about two factories here neither of which are for ships." Roland said he took some of the dirt and rubbed them between his fingers.
"The wall is secured, sir." Cody began until Titus cut him off.
"So that means we're going to nail those cannons?" Titus asked as they had to sabotage those guns to let the rest of the army land.
"We need to know what the Grineer have in store for us." Obi-Wan said noting how easy this looked. "Any information to offer?" Obi-Wan asked as Zayne looked to be thinking it over.
"They'll probably be waiting for us." Zayne said as he knew that was one way the Grineer would attack them. "Titus, Roland; Nico lets go I want to find out what we can on what the Grineer are planning." Zayne ordered and in turn Obi-Wan added more.
"What!?" Titus asked as he wanted to fight some more not scout.
"Understood." Roland said having no trouble with that.
"Got it." Nico said as she stretched a bit through her Warframe ready to roll out.
"Cody take some of your best men to go with them in scouting ahead." Obi-Wan ordered and thus Cody understood the order.
"Will do, sir." Cody saluted before looking over to some of the other Clones. "Boil, Waxer, come with me." Cody ordered causing the two to look at each other.
"I guess we're the best." Waxer said showing he was ready to move out as Cody, followed Blue team.
(Later)
The Tenno were seen walking through the deserted village as they noted it was a ghost town. The group comprised of Four Tenno and Four Clones made their way through scouting the area. "Buildings are just buildings. What really makes a city are the inhabitants that live in it." Cody said as Boil was worried.
"So where are they?" Boil asked with great concern.
"That's what I want to know." Roland said as he had a bad feeling about this.
Cody and Zayne then held there fist up to stop their troops before looking to each other realizing both were leaders and they were probably thinking along the same lines. "Commander Cody do you mind if I borrow Waxer and Boil?" Zayne asked as he looked to Cody.
"By all means." Cody said before Zayne looked.
"Titus you and Roland go with Cody to scout out the Court Yard." Zayne said looking to the other two Tenno here. "Nico you're with me, Waxer, and Boil to scout the South Sector." Zayne ordered as he looked to the two.
"We'll meet up back at command by 0620." Cody ordered and they were all in agreement on this.
"Yes, sir." Waxer responded as he then went with the Tenno.
(Later with Zayne, Nico, Waxer and Boil)
The four were scouting around for a bit as they looked around the deserted city. "I'm telling you, Boil, this is creepy." Waxer said as the two Tenno and two Clones scouted the area.
"Reminds me of that one ambush back in the Old War." Nico said as she remembered that particular ambush a great deal.
"Grineer?" Boil asked only for Zayne to say in a cold tone.
"No something worse." Zayne said speaking of the Sentient and Nico knew that well.
"You think the Grineer killed all of them?" Boil asked with concern.
"I wouldn't put it passed them." Zayne said as Nico then looked to Zayne.
"Zayne!" Nico scolded but Zayne let it be.
"I'm just being realistic." Zayne said knowing how the Grineer operate. "Besides there's no bodies and I'm damn sure we haven't found a Ghoul Pod yet." Zayne said remembering the number of times they came a across Ghoul Pods in the Eidolon Plains. Nico remembered this one time how a Ghoul grabbed her leg as it emerged from the ground. "At least not yet." Zayne added causing Boil and Waxer to grow concerned.
"Ghouls?" Waxer asked not liking the sound of that.
"You don't want to know." Nico said with a shiver as she hated Ghouls with a passion.
"But in all honesty it looks like they might have been either driven or taken from their homes." Zayne and Waxer agreed.
"I don't thon he had a..." Waxer began until they heard the sound of rock moving causing the group to hear it.
"Had a what?" Boil asked as he noted how Waxer paused.
"Choice." Zayne said as he felt for these people. As he walked he noted Ordis was still detecting the Void Signature it was strong here. He nodded to Nico who nodded back as they had to keep its source and the Clones separate until it can be contained. Until then they continued to scout around.
(Meanwhile with Cody, Roland, and Titus)
Roland had his Rubico out a she was using its scope to the Grineer forces walking about as Cody did the same with his binoculars. "No Thumper always hated those things." Roland said glad that one hasn't shown up yet.
"But it's not going to be easy getting to those cannons." The Clone who came with Cody said as he looked to his CO.
"There is always a way, Wooly." Cody said knowing full well there had to be a way through this.
"Well when you figure it out let us know." Titus said making a quip only to be elbowed in the leg by Roland who kept looking through his scope for an edge they can use.
"Wait, twi'leks, they are holding all the survivors hostages," Cody said as Roland change to his scope rifle and look through the scope itself as he look and said, "So the Intel from the ship was right, this is no doubt the work of one of Van'Lux's troops. We can save them as we are or else it could be a blood bath."
"We have to report this to General Kenobi," Cody said as Titus said, "We'll get in touch with the rest of Blue team and red team to tell them the news as well."
(Headquarters)
The Grineer scouts were going about as they came upon a build with an opening in its roof, looks down and saw what was happening as Mace Windu with Nyx were talking with the others through Holograms as Cody with Roland soon reported with a hologram map of the area as he said, "Found the guns. They're in the courtyard here and here, but there's a complication."
"They are using the Twi'leks as living shields," Nyx said as she gotten the report from blue team as Obi-wan said, "The Twi'lek prisoners will make this difficult but not impossible. I still have a good plan for taking out those guns."
The Grineer scouts lean in closer to get a better look unaware it had kick a pebble down below which hit Roland head, as he stood in place tilting his head upwards just a bit as Mace Windu said, "Getting the villagers out of harm's way is our first priority. I have faith in you, General Kenobi."
"Cody, Roland, we'll go in with everything we have clear those hostages," Obi-wan said as Roland soon spoken up saying, "A good plan… but there is another problem."
Everyone looked at him as he pull a weapon out as he said, "We're being watched."
Quickly taking action as he turn around quickly with his weapon, take aim and fire upon the Grineer scout.
The scout fell down dead as all the clones' troops aim their weapons at it as Obi-wan asked, "What is that?"
"A Grineer's scout, no doubt to gather Intel, and if there's one there's usually others too. We need to move out soon before the rest of its friends shows up," Roland said as Obi-wan said to him, "Alright try to get in contract with the rest of Blue squad, we might going to need their help as well."
(Zayne, Nico, Waxer, and Boil)
With the clones Waxer and Boil scouting the area, still, Zayne and Nico looked around to track the Void energy, as they soon located the signal nearby as they look around, with the sound of rock being shifted, Zayne and Nico look in that direction with the clones looking as well.
"They're near. Waxer, Boil stay behind, we'll check it out" Zayne said as he and Nico rush to the area, wanted to do this quickly, box in whoever they are picking up on, as they all rush the area of an alleyway as they found… a little Twi'lek girl, with the clones soon catch up and had their guns aimed at the child as Zayne held up his hand and said, "Hold it… just a child."
Well what are we gonna do with her?" Waxer asked with Boil said, "Whoa, whoa, whoa; whoa! Why do we have to do anything? We got a mission to finish."
"We cannot leave her behind, she looks scared, and confused," Nico said as Zayne also said, "We don't know how long she's been here by herself. We'll take her with us keep her safe."
"You guys can't be serious. She'll only slow us down," Boil said something was passing by with Zayne and Nico noticing it, as Waxer said, "Look, she's afraid of us."
"It not us, hide now!" Zayne said as he, Nico, and the two clones took cover as they hear some Grineer scouts passing by as Nico said, "Grineer scout, if one of those are out here, good chance his friends are nearby too."
"And we can watch you two and the little girl at the same time, we need to head out now with the girl," Zayne said as boil said, "Fine then."
Boil then walked over to the girl ready to try and help her. "Be careful." Zayne said as he noticed something on her person.
"Don't worry. I don't think she's armed." Boil said as he reached out torts her only for the girl to bite his finger causing him to cry out in pain. "Ow! Little Tail-head bit me!" Boil cried out as he held his hand from this.
Then something incredible happened causing them all to go wide eyed. The girl vanished before their very eyes and in turn confirmed Zayne and Nico's suspicion of her. "Wow?!" Boil cried out as even Waxer was surprised by this.
"Get back." Zayne ordered as he looked to the Clones. "You're scaring her." Zayne added to scold Boil as he knew how to approach this. "Nico and I can handle this." Zayne said as he then contacted Ordis. "Ordis download the Twi'lek language to my Warframe." Zayne said and thus Ordis confirmed.
"Yes Sir Operator." Ordis responded and thus Zayne felt a sting in his mind from this event. It was experimental at best back in the day but it served its purpose.
Once it was done Zayne performed Transference with Nico and thus the girl was surprised by this. Their Warframes went as still as statues as they awaited their Tenno to perform Transference again. As Zayne and Nico carefully approached the invisible girl who went visible once more the two then proceeded to enter Void Mode as well. They vanished from sight and in turn the girl was surprised to find others who were... like her.
The two then returned to their normal state and in turn extended a hand to the girl causing her to flinch back. The Tenno then pulled back as they knew this was going to be tricky she was like them one who was touched by the Void. "SSS Hello SSS." Zayne greeted the girl as he spoke Twi'lek surprising her. "SSS My name is Zayne and this is Nico SSS." Zayne introduced before looking to the Twi'Lek girl. What is your name? Zayne asked as the girl was surprised to hear them speak her tongue so easily.
"SSS Numa SSS." The girl now known as Numa said to introduce herself. "SSS You're like me SSS." Numa said as Zayne nodded to her happy to see she was seeing it already.
"SSS Yes we, Nico and I, are Tenno SSS." Zayne told her trying to explain the world Numa had just entered.
"SSS Tenno SSS?" Numa asked as she never head the term before.
"SSS We're warriors we fight for others even those unable to defend themselves. SSS" Nico chimed in as she looked to Numa.
"SSS Tenno... I am Tenno SSS?" Numa asked as she heard the term from the two.
"SSS Yes and no, you have the powers of one but not the training of one SSS." Zayne said as he tried to help Numa. If you want, you can come with us and we can show you what it means to be Tenno. Zayne offered partially to help her get to safety and help her learn how to use her powers without hurting people around her. After all you don't think turning invisible is all you can do now is it? Zayne asked and in turn he activated Transference and returned to his Warframe.
Once they had performed Transference Numa was surprised to see this happen but the bigger surprise was yet to be seen. Nico then performed Void Dash and appeared atop a small ledge before she cleared her throat. Numa looked and saw Nico there waving down on her before Nico performed Void Dash again to get to the ground and then perform Transference to reenter her Warframe. "SSS That is just the beginning of what you're capable of Numa SSS." Nico said as he looked to Numa while Zayne eyed the clearly damaged Void Key in her hand.
"Look not to spoil the little whatever this is, we need to move now." Boil said and thus Zayne gave him a look but knew he was right about that.
"SSS We can teach you how to use your powers without hurting others by accident SSS." Zayne offered as he looked to the girl knowing she needed the aid to control her newfound power of the Void. "SSS Just... take my hand and come with us SSS." Zayne said and in turn offered his hand to Numa.
Numa was hesitant about it at first until she took Zayne's hand and thus found she wasn't hurting him by accident. "Let's go!" Nico called out and thus the group was once more on the move.
(Meanwhile back at the Grineer Encampment)
The Grineer commander of this encampment walked around the hostages now paying them any mind. Without an Orikin tower these people were much easier to handle then those of Cetus. He then entered the beast's pens knowing what awaited him down there. "Sergeant, are the animals ready?" The Detachments Captain asked as he looked to a fellow Grineer.
"Yes they are starved and ready to hunt." The Sergeant said as he looked to the creature who then snarled at the duo.
"I can see that." The Captain said as he then looked to the Sergeant. "Commander Van'Lux is anxious to deal with these Republic Forces invading our conquest and expansions." The Captain said showing he was ready to let them loose. "Prepare to let them loose. I can smell Tenno flesh rotting in the waste soon." The Captain said and thus the Soldier saluted and went to finish the preparations. "And soon I'll have my Void key back." HE added wondering where that little thief had run off to with his Void Key.
(Back with Zayne's group)
Numa was seen walling close to Zayne and Nico as she ran around keeping close to them. She was clearly adjusting to some of her new found abilities such as the Void Dash and the Void Mode. Laughing all the way as she played a bit of a game with the Tenno who kept a close eye on her.
"So any theories on what happened to her family?" Nico asked the Clone as Zayne looked.
"In all likely hood dead." Zayne said being realistic about this.
"So what she goes with you guys to become another Tenno?" Waxer asked to which Zayne kept calm about this.
"If she wants. The choice is hers in the end." Nico added knowing that the Tenno were big on free will and choice.
"Hey where did she go?" Waxer asked as he looked and noted Numa was gone.
Zayne scoffed and then smiled down and in turn Numa reappeared from Void Mode laughing to this. "That answer your question?" Zayne asked as he looked to Waxer as he and Boil were surprised to see this.
"How did she?" Waxer asked but Nico answered.
"Void Dash she's really enjoying that little power aren't you little one." Nico said tapping Numa's nose causing a smile and laugh to erupt from her.
"Well that and Void Mode." Zayne added as this made her a master of the game of hide and seek.
Just then Numa took note of the familiar landscape and thus looked to the group. "SSS Brother, Sister SSS!" She called out referring to Zayne, the Clones, and Nico in that order. She then performed Void Dash and bolted torts the direction of the Grineer Recon team.
"SSS No Numa stop SSS!" Zayne called out as he then bold jumped and got in Numa's way. "SSS Numa… it's dangerous that way the Grineer went in that direction SSSS." Zayne said with his hands on Numa's shoulders.
She then gave a sad look to which Zayne took note of. "SSS Home SSS." She said and thus Zayne knew what was going on and noticed how her grip on the broken Void Key grew tighter.
"Home..." Zayne repeated Numa's response in Basic as he had his own reminder. He remembered being on the Zariman Ten Zero how it left Earth and prepared for the Void Jump to Tau. He had left so many things behind and when he came back there wasn't much of a home for him to return to before the Orikin had grabbed him. With a sigh he then stood up and offered his hand to Numa. Hesitant at first Numa took Zayne's hand and noticed how it felt different now almost... sad. "Waxer Boil change of plans we're going this way." Zayne said as Nico knew exactly what was going on.
"Wait are you nuts!?" Boil began but Nico cut him off.
"No... She needs to do is they both need to do this." Nico said knowing what it was like to lose it all. What was supposed to be a road to hope for a new start on the journey to Tau became a path of pure eternal suffering.
"This is nuts." Boil said but even he saw the way the Tenno spoke. He began to wonder what sort of baggage the Tenno were all shouldering in one way or form.
(Little later)
Numa lead the group with Zayne holding her hand as they looked around for her home, while avoiding the Grineer patrols as the two clones keep up with the Tenno and the Twi'lik child.
Soon arriving at Numa's home as she points and said, "SSS Home SSS."
Zayne nodded to her as he look at the clones and said, "Watch our 6's. We'll be done soon as we can."
"Hurry up then," Boiler said as the pair of Tenno and Numa walk inside the home, the door was busted open already, with Zayne just slightly push the door open going in first to see the damage, and to his site he saw two dead Grineers and a Twi'lik woman.
Numa walked in with Nico as they saw the site as Numa saw her mother, frighten, scared to the see the site of her mother on the ground like that, walking closer, seeing the look on her face made Numa turn away in fright to what she saw, as her face look to be distorted with madness and pain, with Zayne went in closer and sees what cause all this.
Looking at the Grineer, to the look of them they shot each other for some reason, while the mother… well she it seem she had marking on her body, no doubt about it she was expose to void energy, those who were older than a child would experience such things that were worse than death itself, but in this case she was lucky that she died soon after being over exposure.
If it was minor exposure, no doubt she would have lost her mind and would go crazy, while if Numa were ever stay in the house itself she would most likely be dead too. In a way they were both luck… but in reality they weren't.
Thing could have been worse, until Numa, Zayne, Nico, Rolland, Titus and every other Tenno that was upon the Ten zero had to one thing or another to survive when the adult went crazy.
The memories flashes in his mind, as he remembers the event of the Zariman Ten Zero after the void jump. Every children was fine, Zayne was fine, but his father… his mother, the parents, the adults, everyone that was older than them went mad, started to destroy things, some even kill their own children before they realize what had happen to their parents.
He can still remember their screams, their cries, he could not save them, he cannot save his parents, and so with little to no choice, everyone had to choose, and Zayne remembers his choice well enough, he wanted to live, he wanted to survive… he wanted to end their pain.
Zayne's mother already died by his father's hands, as he stood over his wife's body as he beat her to death, with Zayne stood in horror to this, as soon enough his father stops before turn towards him, and came at him to hurt and kill with Zayne raise up a gun up towards his father as his father lunge at him, at that moment he pulls the trigger, a round went flying, and hitting him in the chest, and stopped him… but it didn't end there.
Zayne keep on shooting, as round after rounds went into his father, blood began to come forth before he dropped to his knees, and fell down to the floor bleed to death by his wounds.
Zayne mind came back as he heard crying, Numa was crying. After she had built up the courage to come closer to her mother, calling out to her while shaking her body, but no matter what, she will not answer.
Tragic had struck again, the power of the Tenno both a gift… and a cruse for those who been touch by the void will be forever changed, this was one of the cruse, to see your love one dead or dying and there nothing you can do but cry.
Zayne lost his family that day… but he gain a new one as well, he wasn't alone… and he wasn't going to leave Numa alone as well, as he came over to her and put his arms around her, rubbing her head to comfort her as he said to her, "SSS Let it out. It's okay to cry SSS."
Nico seeing this just as Waxer and Boil began to enter next walked over to an old doll and picked it up. Once she did this she walked over to Zayne and Numa who through Excalibur looked more like a parent comforting his child. 'Why does the Void always leave behind suffering for those touched by it?' Nico wondered as she then kneeled down and offered the doll to Numa. "SSS It's going to be a long while Numa before you can heal SSS." Nico began as Numa took the doll in question. "SSS But I promise you a day will come when this painful memory will give you strength, to either cast it into the void and find peace in the emptiness, accept it and move beyond its reach, or to use it to fuel your wrath SSS." Nico said providing a bit of an improve lesson for Numa.
From the Clones perspective whatever the Tenno had gone through in the past it still affected them to this very day. They began to wonder if this was why general Kenobi and Skywalker were adamant against Tenno Aid.
(Back with Obi-Wan's unit)
"The men set Cody?" Obi-Wan asked as he approached Cody but noticing him focused on his communicator. "What is it?" Obi-Wan asked with concern.
"Waxer and Boil are not responding. They never returned from scouting." Cody said just before Titus and Roland joined in after landing nearby.
"We haven't heard from Zayne and Nico either." Roland said shouldering his rifle.
"That isn't like them." Obi-Wan said as he knew how those two tend to act.
"Agreed Zayne and Nico would have contacted us if they were running late." Titus said knowing full well how they acted.
"They may have run into trouble then." Obi-Wan said and in turn Cody got to work on contacting their missing friends.
"Sergeant, use the high-powered transmitter to see if you can reach Waxer, Boil, and the other Tenno." Cody ordered and thus the Sergeant got to work.
"Yes sir!" He said and thus went to carry out his orders.
"Let's get the rest of the men moving the others will catch up." Obi-Wan said and thus they headed out to move in on the Grineer.
(Back with the scout team)
Just then their communicators began to flash and thus Zayne knew what was going on. "It's the Commander." Boil said as he realized who it was. "We're way overdue Waxer we're going to end up polishing R2 units." Boil said to which they got ready to contact Cody.
"Wait. How are we going to explain all this... her?" Waxer asked until Zayne spoke up.
"We tell him the truth." Zayne said as he got ready to contact the battalion as they began to leave.
"This is going to end badly." Boil said as they got outside and in turn took note of something dangerous.
Seeing this Numa hid behind the Tenno in a panic. "Gutkurr! Gutkurr!" She cried out as the 'Gutkurr,' were nearby.
"What" Waxer asked but Zayne had his weapon armed.
"We got trouble in the way!" Zayne called out and thus they saw a group of creatures show up from a corner. Just then the creatures snarled and roared clearly angry and ready for combat.
"So that's why she didn't come back here." Nico said realizing what it was.
In turn Zayne opened fire as did the clones whole the creatures were coming their way. "Back in the house now!" Zayne ordered as they reentered the house with the creatures close behind them. As they moved the Tenno and Clones moved to block the door and keep the local wildlife out and away from them.
Cody and a few of his Clones were keeping out of watch as they saw Grineer patrolling around the area of their encampment. Keeping watch he gave a silent order for his troopers to move in. As they moved they hoped the inside team was having a better time than they were.
(With Obi-Wan and the Tenno)
Three Grineer were seen as they were either standing guard or sanitizing the cell that held the creatures. The Grineer in the cell was washing the ground and it was clear he was complaining about it. Just then it heard a sound of some sort and when it looked it saw its two allies dead but the reason behind it was missing. The Grineer looked panicked and was about to sound the alarm until it found itself kicked to the ground and its head smashed by Titus hammer.
"That was easy." Titus said as the group walked in with Zayne carrying Numa. Once they were safe Zayne put Numa down and looked to her.
"SSS When the fighting starts enter Void Mode and try to stay in it if you see Grineer only exit it if you see your people." Zayne ordered and thus Numa nodded where Zayne looked over to the Clones. "Try to watch her." Zayne ordered Waxer and Boil who nodded to this.
The four Tenno and Obi-Wan went up the stairs and in turn saw the Twi'lek prisoners and the Grineer guarding them. When they saw this they prepared to move in as they saw Cody not too far away waiting for the signal. The group then went in after signaling Waxer and Boil to move in and in turn they did as told despite being silent.
In turn the Tenno moved in as Roland started off by going invisible with Loki and performing silent kills against the Grineer. Just then Zayne joined in doing the same minus turning invisible opting him to work extra hard to perform his killing strikes against the Grineer. As this went on the Grineer began to take notice of their falling numbers opting the Clone Troopers to move in on to provide aid.
"Now move in!" Cody ordered and thus the battle began between Clones and Grineer once more.
Fire was exchange between the two sides, with the clones behind cover as they distracted the main Grineer forces.
At this time obi-wan and the other two clones strike as well helping with the Tenno cut down the Grineer forces quickly, as Waxer and boil got up and personal, shooting at the weak spot to take them out quickly with Obi-wan cut them down fast before went over to help the Twi'lik.
Over back at the fight as the clones were holding out against the Grineer main forces, but their fire rate and power was too much for the clones to handle as Cody yells, "Fall back! Fall back!"
Obi-wan was able to free the prisoners as he said to them, "SSS Follow me! Follow me! SSS"
The Twi'lik follow him to the prison area as the Tenno cover them while they escape, but it seem the Grineer took notice of this and call it out, with detachments captain heard it as he turn the tank he was in around and return back to the base with some Grineer following him.
(Prison area)
With Obi-wan leading the Twi'Lek down, as the Tenno did what they could to hold the enemy off, as Numa came out of void mode as she saw her people coming down, with a blue male Twi'Lek suddenly saw her and called out, "SSS Numa, your safe! SSS"
Numa's father came up to her and hug his daughter as he was happy to see her again before they follow their people, with obi-wan saw that all of the Twi'lek were down safe below, Obi-wan said, "Boil, Waxer. Come with me."
"We're with you sir!" boil said as obi-wan charge at the Grineer and cut down the ones that were around the big guns, as the Tenno joins him as they cut down the gun crew before taking the gunner seat with Zayne called out, "Titus load it up!"
"Roland get it ready!" Nico said as she a gunner seat as well with Roland nodded, with Obi-wan and the clones did the same thing as obi-wan took the gunner seat with the clones loading up the grounds into it, as obi-wan and Zayne took aim, with Titus loaded up one round with ease with the clones loaded up their round next as Waxer said, "Loaded General!"
"Lock and loaded!" Titus said as Zayne nodded with Roland called out as he loaded in the round for Nico, "Fire when ready!"
All of them took aim at the other guns around instantly as the Grineer try to respond as they try to take aim at them but the next gun went off hitting their gun and blowing it up.
The last gun was soon fire upon, but to that mistake the gun was already loaded and fire when it exploded, and shot between the two guns with the Tenno on them as they cry out while being flung from them.
And what make matter worst, the captain came back with a tank and fire upon the last gun that obi-wan was in as he quickly gotten out with the clones before it blew up.
Down below in the prison area, Numa gotten worry when she heard the sound so close by and saw smoke as well while taking off back up, while her father tries to stop her, but could not grab her in time as she rush up.
To Numa surprise as she saw the four Tenno down, with two of them severally damage them being Zayne's and Nico's Warframe as their body spark out but still operational if barely, with Numa check up on the clones first seeing them alive before going over to Nico to help her even thought when the tank was pointing its gun at her.
From the prison itself the Twi'lek came rushing up to go help Numa, the Jedi, the clones ,and the Tenno, with the captain laughing at them with his remaining Grineer forces stood by him as he said, "You were out smarted Tenno, as this battle goes to me!"
Suddenly before he and the other Grineer knew it the Twi'lek came rushing at him and the few Grineer troops around, over powering them, as the captain of this detachment saw and didn't calculate that the Twi'lek would revolt against him or any Grineer here.
The Captain of this Detachment saw this and glared at Zayne who made a smirking gesture. "You were saying?" Zayne countered and thus knowing the Tank was too slow to do damage the Grineer Captain roared and jumped down with a massive hammer in his hands. He slammed the hammer down causing Zayne to protect Numa from it.
"Man down!" Titus called out as Zayne kept Numa protected.
"Don't think I haven't forgotten that little runt who took my Void Key." The Captain said knowing Van'Lux had granted him that Key.
Numa was scared but then glared at the Captain before standing between him and Zayne. "SSS Numa don't save yourself SSS!" Zayne ordered knowing Numa was not ready for combat.
"If she wishes to die then so be it!" The Captain said dragging hammer on the ground to kill Numa.
Seeing this Zayne took out an Air Charge and switched up its settings a bit. "Ordis I need a Warframe one I haven't bonded with!" Zayne called out as Ordis saw this.
"But Operator that is reckless you cannot send an untested Warframe so callously." Ordis said as Zayne took aim.
"Just do it!" Zayne called out as the only Warframe he hadn't gotten around to using was Gara. Just then the sound of Zayne's Landing Craft was heard and when all eyes fell to it something launched from the underbelly as it flew upward. From it Numa was caught off guard as a Warframe stood tall between her and the Captain who jumped back in surprised. "SSS Numa use your Void Beam aim for her back use as much as you need to awaken her SSS!" Zayne ordered hoping Numa understood.
Knowing what Zayne spoke off she fired a Void Beam at Gara's back aiming for her upper back close to her neck. As her Void power flowed into it Numa kept up the heat looking tired and dizzy. Soon she passed out and in response the Captain charged in. "Die!" He roared and then to his shock Gara's eye flashed to life and her arms moved stopping the attack in its tracks. This Gara Warframe was currently equipped with its Astilla main arm, its Volnus melee arm which was a massive axe, and the throwing dagger side arms Fusilai which Gara was famous for.
Gara glared at the Grineer Captain with hate in her eyes before activating her ability shattered Lash. The Captain was sent flying back from the attack covered in Glass shards produced by Gara herself. Gara then turned and saw now only Zayne but Numa asleep in his arms. Gara looked surprised and then looked to her arms before she began to speak Twi'Lek.
"SSS Numa its ok you performed Transference SSS." Zayne said calming Numa down when he said this. "SSS That Warframe, Gara, she answers to you now SSS." Zayne explained and thus Numa looked to her hands. She then saw the Captain trying to escape and in turn following the target blip in her vision she fired the gun near him causing him to stop. Gara then charged in and slammed her Axe down glaring at the Grineer Captain with hatred in her eyes.
Just then the Twi'Lek people charged at the Captain and Gara did nothing to stop them. In response Nico and Titus came over and covered Gara's eyes to cover Numa's. Numa tried to look but the two Tenno were adamant about it. The suffering this captain endured would be told for many generations to the point even his own clones would feel it for years to come.
In turn from the sky they all looked to see Republic ships coming in for a landing. "Is this how you finish the fight my friend?" Obi-Wan asked Roland was transferring void Power to heal Zayne.
"One of the ways to do it." Zayne said as once the transfer was complete Zayne got back up and rolled his Warframe's shoulders. "Still." Zayne said while still holding Numa's sleeping body knowing this was a huge discovery.
(Scene break later)
Both Nico and Zayne from Blue Team were off speaking to Numa and her father as well as showing them to where they left her mother to be given a proper Twi'Lek burial. "Great Job getting rid of those cannons." Mace said as he was with the full Red Team as Obi-Wan still had Titus and Rolland with him. "Now we have ma ore difficult objective." Mace added almost fearing what other damage the Grineer may have caused. "We must take the capital and free this world." Mace said and in turn they Titus and Rolland saw Numa standing with Gara Zayne, and Nico.
Waxer walked over to Numa and smiled at her from under his helmet. "See ya later, little one." Waxer said rubbing the girls head.
"Hey Numa!" Boil called out as he looked to Numa and the Tenno. "Stay out of trouble." Boil said and thus Numa responded by giving the tough Clone a hug causing the Tenno to smile after seeing this.
"So what did her old man say?" Titus asked as he looked to Zayne and Nico.
"After we explained the situation to him he was afraid we'd be like the Jedi and take her away. At least until we asked him to come as well since his presence would be a major help in helping Numa control her powers." Nico explained worried why he was worried about the Tenno being like the Jedi.
Zayne nodded and looked to Gara before looking to Numa as Boil took his leave. Numa while with her father took notice and nodded to them before she then relaxed her body some to allow Gara to walk over to them. Once Gara was once more with Numa and her father people began to look to the Warframe in wonder while aweing at what Numa can now do.
Zayne walked over to Numa and her father before presenting them an item. "SSS this should put a safety lock on the Warframe and its equipment SSS." Zayne explained before looking over to NUMA and kneeling down to her. "SSS This Warframe is now your responsibility treat her right SSS." Zayne said and thus Numa hugged Zayne surprising the Tenno on this. He then hugged her back before letting the girl go and looking to her. "SSS Good Job... Tenno SSS." Zayne praised knowing even if she didn't choose the path Numa had proved herself as more of a Tenno today.
Zayne then rejoined his squad to continue the Campaign to take back Ryloth as Numa saw this. Numa then looked to Gara as her father deep down knew what Numa wanted to do. In a way with this Warframe Numa had become her people's protector their Tenno bound by honor. As the Tenno squads and Republic troops took their leave they had a goal and that was to free Ryloth and hopefully help the planet heal from its wounds. After all it was a Tenno's duty to defend the weak as warriors of honor and duty and they will save this planet without fail for their duty and honor demands it. Still of Numa was touched by the void in such a way who else was capable in the Galaxy to gain the power of a Tenno.
