phew. that last chapter was quite the chapter. i don't know how good this chapter will be, but i'll try my best to make this the best chapter so far, maybe it'll have some sexy time later in the chapter, i haven't decided yet.
also sorry that these paragraphs are much longer, i'm writing on a computer right now instead of my iphone so the paragraphs don't look as short to me so they're actually a lot longer than i thought they would be. it's easier since it's practically midnight where i am. i couldn't sleep so i decided i would start on this chapter.
ok also i feel the need to clarify, i have never been to the ac hotel in seattle, so forgive me if stuff is off. i'm not claiming to know what it looks like, i'm just creating my own image based on what i see fit to fit into the story. sorry if it bothers you that i'm using the name of the hotel, i didn't feel like coming up with my own title of a hotel. so yeah, i'll shut up now and let you guys read what you came to read.
chapter six:
hermione and draco ended up walking out of that store with six bags full of clothes. the second they stepped outside the doors of the confines of the store, hermione heard the sudden rush of sounds. the car horns, people shouting, people crumpling food wrappers, tires slamming on their brakes. everything came as a sudden rush, and hermione wished she could cover her ears and block every noise out. draco noticed how she looked so he shifted the bags on his right arm to his left arm and grabbed her hand with his and gripped it tightly, reminding her that he was here for her always.
the sun was shining, right above the buildings, providing light for everyone as it dawned on everyone that it was starting to get later into the evening. hermione and draco had decided in the store that they wouldn't go back to the tent, instead they would go find a hotel room until they could figure out where they wanted to go. draco had decided that he would apparate back to the campsite and pack up everything that they had left behind so that hermione didn't have to worry about their stuff.
while walking on the sidewalk, hermione took in everything she could see. there were tons of people roaming the streets, most walking, carrying tons of shopping bags filled with who knows what. some were waiting to be able to cross the road so that they could get to wherever they were aiming to get to. cars were basically parked because of how packed the roads were. every shop had people spilling out of it, in all different colors, styles and sizes of clothing. it was quite the sight to see. everyone was bustling about, not a care in the world until someone got in their way. then they would start screaming and creating commotion until their way was clear again, and then they would go back to normal, ignoring everything except themselves.
soon enough, hermione and draco were standing in front of a tall building. it was called the ac hotel. it was a large building with a white paint job. there were tons of windows, hinting to how many rooms they had that could provide you with a view. they entered the building and walked into the lobby. the ceiling was high, with a large crystal chandelier that had millions of little lights that shimmered in the sunlight that was cast through the large windows that seemed to go from the ceiling to the floor. the inside was decorated with pillars that were white, with gold lines wrapping around it, seeming almost like a marble but not quite. the reception desk was a huge desk that had multiple sets of computers and chairs and people behind it. some were talking on the phone, others were working on their computer. the lobby also had a sitting area that had white, leather couches for people to sit on. the couches were occasionally mixed in with some grey or black chairs that looked extremely comfortable. there were tables too, which matched the pillars in color. there were a few hallways that seemed to lead to doors and one distinctly led to a group of elevators. people swarmed around the couches and were all in lines and clusters around the elevators.
the pair was stunned with the expensive looking interior. draco was still grasping hermiones hand as he led her up to a reception desk that wasn't occupied by someone on the phone.
"hello, welcome to the ac hotel. how may i assist you today?" the man asked, looking up from his computer. he had brown hair that was parted down a side and over his head. the sides were cleanly shaved.
"we would like a room. preferably something like a suite, but not as big." draco stated matter-of-factly to the man.
"alright, let me see what i can do for you." the man said. he scrolled on his computer looking for openings. "ah-ha!" he said in triumph of finding the pair a vacant room. "there is a room on the seventh floor, it's not a suite, but it is quite nice."
"we'll take it." draco said without a second thought.
"alrighty. it'll be room 352." the man turned around and grabbed a key off of a rack of keys behind him. "here's the key. enjoy your stay!"
"thank you." draco said with a curt nod at the man.
"by the way, my name is marcus, in case you need anything while you're staying here." the man, marcus, shouted at the pair as they walked away. draco gave him a thumbs up and continued walking away.
after getting waiting for an elevator and going to the seventh floor, hermione and draco had finally found their room. it was all the way down the hallway, and it was the last one on the left. draco inserted and turned the key in the doorknob and swung the door open to reveal the room.
it was stunning to say the least. when you walked in, you had to walk down a short hallway that had both a door on the right and on the left. the door on the right led to a bathroom and the door on the left led to a laundry room. the bathroom had white and black marble tiling as the backsplash and had a white toilet. there was a white sink along with a black towel hanging off of a rack to dry your hands. the laundry room was a small room with a table for clothes and with silver racks for clothes to hang off of to dry. the washing machine was white with black buttons and words, and same with the dryer.
when you walked down the hallway, you would find the kitchen, dining room and living room. the kitchen had almost the same backsplash as the bathroom, but it had some gold flecks in it along with the white and black marbled tile. the counter-top was a big slab of what looked like very shiny obsidian. there was a silver fridge, which was empty. it had two doors on the front and a handle to pull out what was the freezer. of course that was empty too, leaving the people to go out and buy whatever they wanted to fill the fridge with. the cabinets were white, going with the whole black and white theme of the hotel room. the flooring was hardwood that had been painted black.
when you walked from the kitchen to the dining room, you pretty much just went right from the island and to the table. the table was a glass table that had a marble exterior, revealing the glass rectangle in the middle of the marble outside. there were four chairs, two on each side. the chairs looked like they had plush seats and wooden backs. the backs were oval shaped, and there was a hole in the middle of them where there was a whicker back. there was a white wall that led to the living room, and there were two rectangles of wall cut out of each side for windows. there was one window in the kitchen area and one in the dining room area, each cut out giving whoever was in there a view of the living room.
the living room was quite spacious. there was a dark mahogany couch that was made out of leather. there was a white blanket draped over the back of it. there were two chairs on either side of the couch, each one the same color and material as the couch. the arms of the couch were each occupied by a fluffy white pillow, same as the chairs. there was a table that was the same style as the dining room table - a marble exterior and a glass square in the middle of the marble outside. there was a black rectangle table with two doors that would swing out to reveal a dvd player inside the table along with the remote to the tv and more technical stuff that neither knew what it did. that was on the other side of the room and it held the tv. the tv was around a 60 inches and flatscreen. the walls in every room were just white, plain white.
there was a door on the side of the living room, and when opened, it led to another hallway. in this hallway, there was a door on the left side almost immediatly, and directly across from that door was another door on the right side. then on the back wall of the hallway, which was maybe 8 yards or so away from the other doors, there was another door. draco opened the door on the left while hermione opened the door on the right.
through the door on the left was a huge bedroom with very light grey walls. it had a dresser that was black, with white drawers and black doornobs. the back of the dresser extended up, and on that back there was a large mirror that had no smudges so you could see yourself perfectly through it. there was nothing on the surface of the dresser. there was a door next to the nightstand that led to a large walk in closet. the closet was empty, of course. there was a king sized bed with white sheets that was centered on the wall across from the dresser. the backboard of the bed was black, of course, and it extended about two feet upwards. on each side of the bed was a black nightstand with two white drawers with, again, black doornobs. the nightstands each had a white lamp on it with a switch on the bottom of the platform the lamps rested on. there were also clocks on each nightstand, showing off the time in red numbers. there was a painting right above the bed. it was of two people dancing while there were people playing instruments in the background. there was a window on the wall across from the door you walk in. the window was a large circular window with a flat bottom edge, and it had been cut deeply into the wall, deep enough that there were two cushions on the bottom, along with another cushion that leaned up against the left edge. it showed a spectacular view of the skyline of seattle, one that took your breath away. there was a dark grey fan on the top of the room.
through the right door was an office that was roughly around the size of the bedroom with the same color walls. there was a large, black desk on the side that the door was on. it had a lamp on it that was curved so the light shined directly on the surface of the desk. there was a drawer below the surface of the desk, like a traditional desk. the legs of the desk were the same as traditional desks; each leg had two drawers that were quite spacious. that desk was the only thing on the whole wall, and there was a black chair that spinned tucked into the desk. on the wall across from the desk, there was a bookshelf that was basically floating above the halfway mark of the wall, and it was empty like everything else in the hotel room. below that were cushions that were on each side of the wall, which provided seating. on the bottom of the bookshelf hung a small chandelier that would provide lighting when you read.
hermione and draco both exited the rooms they were exploring and went to explore the opposite room. then they both walked into the room that was yet to be explored by them. when they opened the door, it was pitch black in the room, but when they found and switched the light-switch, the room lit up. the room turned out to be the bathroom. it was huge, with a glass shower with black tiling all up the sides and white tiling on the bottom. there was a shower head that was a shiny silver that was on the left side of the shower, and there was a bench that was inside the shower for people to sit on. there was also a white tub that was sitting beside a large counter-top that housed the two sinks. the counter-top was the same obsidian that the kitchen island was made out of. there were cabinet doors on the front of the counter that would open up to pipework and space for people's things. there was a huge mirror that went over both of the sinks and reflected draco and hermione standing in shock of the room. there was a sliding door on the side opposite to the shower, that draco slid open to reveal the toilet.
they had set their bags full of clothes out in the first hallway, so draco went to go retrieve them. when they had been retrieved they were set on the floor in the bedroom. draco reclined on the bed while hermione hung up shirts in the closet and folded pants, underwear and socks into the dresser. everything else in the hotel room was still scarce of things because the pair hadn't bought anything to fill the room.
hermione reclined next to draco and nuzzled into his side, with her head in his armpit and his arm around her. he leaned his head on hers, providing her with the comfort of knowing he was right next to her, keeping her safe. she had had a hard day with being in the city and seeing and hearing all those people. she hadn't been around so many people since the battle, and it was exhausting how much it took out of her to steady and calm herself.
"babe? we should probably eat something. we fucked at the store - which took a lot of energy out of the both of us - and then walked all the way to the hotel and haven't eaten anything since breakfast this morning. it's already," draco paused to lean over to look at the clock, "five pm."
"i'm not hungry."
"maybe you don't feel hungry, but if i have to force feed you, then i will."
"fine."
"good girl." draco said as he planted a sloppy kiss on her forehead.
"ew." hermione mumbled as she squirmed around in his hold.
"ah!" she shrieked as draco pulled her into his lap and stood up, picking her up in his arms bridal style.
"time to eat. i'm hungry." he said as he walked down the hallway, opened the door, and entered into the living room. he remembered that they don't have any food in the hotel room so he carried her down the walkway to the kitchen and into the hallway. he opened the door with his hand, bending down to reach it, and then walked out, hermione still in his arms.
"draco lucious malfoy, put me down this instant." hermione said in between laughs.
"hermione jean granger, i will do no such thing." draco said, feigning seriousness when he was truly holding back laughter.
"draco." she whined, squirming in his arms as he held her even tighter while walking to the elevator that was all the way down the hallway.
little did they know, a few people had opened their doors at the commotion and peeked their head out their rooms. none of them were angry, for most of them were older people, who were happy to see that there was a couple who truly looked as though they had true love. and it was true, because the pair really did have true love. they were truly happy together, and they would never forsake or betray one another.
the smiles followed them all the way down the hallway until they reached the elevator. draco bent down, careful not to squish hermione as he pushed the button to the elevator. the older people were so overjoyed to see how the two were interacting, how they didn't have a care in the world, that it made them burst. during their time, when things were different and not as technologically advanced, things were simpler when it came to dating and they were happy to see that maybe this couple was the same way with their love.
sitting in a booth, with waffles and shakes before them on the table, draco and hermione could not have been happier. they were sitting across from each other, one hand intertwined with the other on the opposite side of the table. hermione had drenched her waffle in syrup, while draco had been less enthusiastic about his syrup habits and had only poured a tiny bit on his waffle. most of hermiones waffle was gone pretty quick, while she rubbed her stomach from eating so much after so little nutrition throughout the day.
draco took his time to eat, savoring every look on his girlfriends face as she devoured her waffle. he chucked occasionally, the smile on his face never faltering. seeing hermione this happy made him overjoyed, since she had had a really rough past few years with the chosen one and weasley, so it was refreshing to see her this carefree. both of them would occasionally sip on their vanilla shakes, but draco was mainly focused on hermione.
"you've been unusually quiet, what's on your mind?" hermione asked, putting her hand on top of his.
"it's just refreshing to see you like this after... everything." draco said quietly.
"i'm with you, in seattle." hermione chucked before continuing. "we got an amazing hotel room that i never want to leave. we don't have to worry about... them anymore."
"are you doing okay?" draco asked, realizing that he hadn't really asked her if she was okay throughout all of this.
"i have my moments, but then i remember that you're right there next to me, always there for me whenever i need you. and you know, i haven't really had that type of relationship with someone since, well, since i left for hogwarts." there were tears in hermiones eyes. "waking up next to you, finally getting away from those damn bastards, everything just seems so much better than i could imagine. i never thought my life would turn this way, but i'm glad it did. harry and ron would never have accepted us, you know? and now that i'm moving past them, i don't have to worry about gaining their pointless acceptance."
"i'm glad to hear that, 'mione." draco said with a smile on his face.
"me too."
when they had paid the bill and gotten out of the store, they had wandered for a little while longer and then went back to the hotel. they were walking down the hallway when an old lady approached them from standing in her doorway.
"hello, i'm sorry to interrupt your evening, but i just wanted to say that i'm so happy to see that there is still hope in the new generations. when you were exiting the building earlier, some of us old folk noticed you and noticed how carefree you were and, well, happy you were." the woman paused to catch her breath. "i just couldn't help but come out and tell you that i'm proud of the both of you, for doing and being what people these days won't do."
"and what is that, ma'am?" draco asked hesitantly.
"loving each other freely." the woman smiled softly. her eyes were sad, but her smile was genuine as she eyed hermione and draco. "you seem to have what is rarest and most precious on this earth. true love. don't ever forsake that for anyone or anything. true love is something that not a lot of people have the opportunity to find, and when you do, it's opposed by loved ones and friends. but truly, it is meant to be so don't let someone take it away from them."
"thank you, ma'am." hermione said softly, tears in her eyes. she grasped the old lady's hand between both of her hands and squeezed it gently, as a tear rolled down her cheek. "if you need anything, we're just at the end of the hallway, feel free to knock any time."
"thank you, i'll do well to remember that." the woman said gratefully.
as the pair began to walk away, the woman said, "by the way, my name is emily steeple."
"i'm hermione, and this is my boyfriend, draco." hermione called out to her, and she flashed the woman a smile before walking into her room with draco.
draco flopped down on the couch, sitting on lazily. hermione dropped down gently on top of him into his lap and his arms snaked around her waist and wrapped around her. he made sure that his arms were securely around her, making her feel as much comfort as he could provide.
she turned around in his lap, straddling his legs as his hands rested on the waistline of her pants through her shirt. she leaned in and kissed him, her arms wrapping around his neck and pulling him close. his hands slipped under her shirt and down her pants, finding her butt, which he cupped in his hands. he pulled her waist closer to his chest, and he deepened the kiss. she could feel his erection on her wetness, but she had long ago gotten used to the feeling.
she pulled away slowly and let her lips ghost his as she whispered "i love you, draco."
"i love you too, hermione." he said, getting up and wrapping his arms under her butt for support as she straddled his waist.
once inside their room, draco closed the door with his foot and set hermione down on the bed. she launched herself at him before he had a chance to take off any clothing, smashing her lips into his. he hugged her tightly to him, running his arms up and down her body, feeling all of her curves. she pushed him up against the wall, her hands on the wall while his hands slipped into her pants again.
he turned her around and slammed her into the wall, and he heard a soft grunt from the woman which turned him on even more. his hands came out of her pants and went up her shirt, slowly caressing her stomach as their tongues danced inside their mouths. his hands soon slipped under her bra, finding her perked nipples, which he massaged and fiddled with inside her shirt, making her moan into his mouth.
both of them were fully turned on, wanting each other more than they would have imagined possible. his hands squeezing her boobs under her shirt, and her hands running through his hair, they were tangled together, and they never wanted to stop. hermione was still pushed up against the wall, her head occasionally slamming into the wall when he would place a kiss or a bite on her neck. draco was enjoying the feel of her warm chest under his hands, and the moans coming out of her mouth were only increasing his want for her.
if you had asked the pair a couple years ago if they would ever imagine each other together, they would have both scoffed. but in truth, hermione had been crushing on him since the fourth year, and draco had liked her ever since she had punched him in the third year. he had found her quite sexy when she punched him, even if it had hurt like hell.
but now? now they had fully embraced their feelings for one another. and here they were, making out. but truly, they were doing more than making out, they were simply loving each other and fulfilling the wants that they had.
this, this wasn't just a hotel room for the pair. no place that they were together was just simply a room. when they were together, they were home.
