Author's Note:
Dear Readers,
I'm sure that this isn't the chapter that you were looking forward to reading, and, for that, I truly apologize. Four years ago when I started this fanfiction, I had all of this fantastic inspiration to create a rich and wonderful Harry Potter fanfiction experience for you. Instead, you got five chapters, an indefinite wait, and, more than likely, disappointment.
For that, I'm disappointed in myself as well.
HOWEVER...
One of the reasons that I stopped writing this fanfiction was because I ended up taking those ideas that I had for Hermione, which in hindsight would've made her incredibly out of character, and put them into an original fiction. This new story will be self published in June this year, and I am so excited to share this new part of my writing journey with people who have read my fanfiction.
Everybody's writing journey is different, and, if you are an author of fanfiction or original fiction or even if you just write for yourself without sharing, I am so proud of you. Everybody here is, at least, readers, and we've all been kept up at night by a story that has burned a hole into our souls and psyches. We've all been left with a hopeless story hole after a story consumed us over a weekend.
It is my deepest hope that my original work can do this for you as well. I wanted to share with you my book description and information to follow along, if that is something that you'd like to do. Even if you don't, I thank you for following me in the past, and I wish you the absolute best.
When Ellyria's father passed away, her life started to look bleak. Their family grimoire was missing, nowhere to be found. To make matters worse, her mother fell into a drug habit, leaving the teenager to take care of the household finances. Desperate for any help she could get, she researches a spell on the internet, casting it hastily under imperfect conditions only to find herself accidentally bound to a demon, Zangrunath. Now stuck with a demon that thinks his latest assignment is below his stature, she must navigate the last few months of high school, budding relationships, and college applications all while Zangrunath harbors a dark secret.
Ellyria's overt spellcasting has started to draw attention from some unsavory enemies, and intruders lurk in the shadows each night while she rests. Now, they must find a scapegoat in order to keep her safe from the mysterious strangers before she meets the same tragic fate as her father before her.
