Finally wrote this one. Took me a while, but I managed to finish it on time (as in, before the end of the month). The theme for day 6 is Pets. Hope you like it.

Day Six

Blessed

The curtains danced slowly to the gentle breeze; their thin coating let the late afternoon sun through, bathing the bedroom with warm light. It reached the bed where a young woman was sleeping, the sun rays brushing her lovely face. Outside, the sound of barking and laughing finally broke through her state of slumber, and her face scrunched up as she yawned and stretched her limbs.

Rubbing her sleepy eyes, she sat up and rolled her legs over the bed to touch the warm wooden floor. She looked around the bedroom through half-lidded eyes, her head still in a haze from the nap.

She heard familiar voices and barking and laughing again, and it was coming from out the window. As her gaze shifted, the young woman took a moment to watch the curtains flow to the soft wind. A smile curled on her lips as she got up and went to the window. She pushed the curtains to the side and looked out. Her eyes softened at the endearing scene.

Her husband was playing with their daughter and her father's dog. Bee was happily chasing Gohan while three-year-old Pan was happily chasing Bee. Videl leaned her elbow on the window sill and leaned her chin in her hand as she gazed upon the adorable sight.

She truly was blessed. Videl wasn't sure what she did to deserve this perfect life, but she thanked her lucky star every day that she got to be with someone as amazing as Gohan and to have the cutest little girl ever. And Bee was the best dog.

Her husband let Bee catch up to him and laughed as he jumped him and licked his face. Pan pretended she was saving her Papa from the beast and fended him off Gohan with an invisible sword. Bee switched his target to the little girl and Gohan kept laughing as he looked on.

He raised his head then and met her gaze. Videl felt herself blush as he beamed at her. Gohan beckoned her over with his hand, and she chuckled as she straightened up. Well, how could she decline such an invitation?

"I'm coming too, wait for me!" she called out, putting her foot on the window sill. She jumped out the window on the first floor, and flew right into Gohan's open arms. They closed around her body and Videl felt herself sink into her husband's warmth. This feeling could never get old.

And then Bee jumped at them both, making them fall on the grass, and Pan used the distraction to catch Bee around his neck and declared victory. The dog didn't seem to care, too busy licking Videl's face.

And through the laughter and the happy barking and the licking, Videl and Gohan shared a smile. Yes, they truly were blessed.
