Robyn whimpered as she huddled in the back of the cage.
She glanced at the man who was holding her.
He was talking to another guy who stood beside him.
"Everything all set, Mr. Kibble?" the man asked.
Kibble nodded. "All set Mr. Richards." he said.
"Please...call me Silas." he said.
Ok...Silas. Everything is all set. You just need to introduce the wolf so the contestants will know what the wolf looks like in person. Ill bet most of them go after the wolf." Kibble said.
"What did I do to deserve this?" Robyn asked herself as she tucked her tail between her legs and shook visibly.
"Hopefully. Ill be right out Mr. Kibble." Silas said.
Nodding, Kibble left the room.
He sat behind his desk grinning. Staring at Robyn.
"You may wondering what you did to deserve this" Silas said.
He stood up and walked over to the cage.
He kneeled down in front of her.
"You didn't do anything." he said unlocking the cage.
He reached in and began rubbing her head.
She cowered.
"Ill earn a great deal of money with his competition. I'm almost broke, see. So I've gotta do something to put food on the table." Silas told her, still rubbing her head.
"I guess I can understand that." Robyn thought.
He closed the cage and walked back to the desk. He picked up something from the desktop.
Walking back towards Robyn, he opened the cage and tossed some bread in there. He closed it and Robyn began eating.
Reaching over, he grabbed something from the hook on the wall.
He showed it to Robyn. This is a special collar. A shock collar to be exact.
"If you attempt to leave the grounds you'll get a good jolt." He said.
"Anyway...ill let you out tonight. The competition starts first thing tomorrow , I don't know what will happen to you. The hunters may want to capture and tame you. Or they might kill you. It is up to them." Silas told her.
Robyn's eyes widened as Silas continued. "The hunters will go together or go their separate ways and they must camp in the forest."
Opening the cage again, he put the collar around her neck. She whined.
Silas made a shushing sound.
"Lets go meet the contestants. I'm sure they're dying to meet you." Silas said.
He began to tug the cage outside.
Robyn feared of the unknown and wished her family was there.
