After the events of the party and what happened afterwards, Ash Clemont, Bonnie, and Serena continued on their way. Right now, Ash was in the middle of battling Sawyer, a rival of his, and Sceptile with his Greninja.

"Greninja-stronger!" Ash yelled. "Grenin-ninja!" shouted the Pokemon. Greninja became engulfed in a torrent of water. "Now, use cut!" Greninja raced towards Sceptile, who was currently Mega-Evolved with unmatched speed. He drew the blades, and slammed into Sceptile, who in turn smashed into the wall when he felt the impact. Clemont raised his arm

"Sceptile is unable to battle!"

"Sceptile, return," said Sawyer, aiming a beam of red light towards his Pokemon. Ash and Greninja had collapsed to the floor, panting. Before Sawyer could assault him with questions however, Serena had already hurried over. "Ash! Are you okay?" she asked, concerned for her crush. Ash grinned.

"I'm fine, no need to worry!"

Before anyone could say anything, however, a light voice interrupted them.

"Aw, c'mon Ash, you know that's when I worry the most!"

"Oh look! It's Miss No-Need-To-Worry herself! Watch out, she'll bury you in optimism so much, you won't be able to breathe!" said Ash sarcastically, pushing himself off the floor, desperately trying to stop the blush that threatened to take over his face.

The girl, who had long, navy-blue hair, let out a laugh. "Look who's talking," she replied, walking over to Ash. She put her hand up and waited. While everyone else watched in confusion, Ash grinned and slapped his hand against hers, but did something completely unexpected. He pulled her into a hug. The girl blushed, but didn't pull away. When they broke apart, they both had a blush on their face.

"So, Ashy-boy," the girl started, a bit snarkily, I might add, "Mellanie told me about that. I'm assuming that what just happened has something to do with it?"

"You assumed right, Dee-dee."

"Why you-" she started chasing him around the battlefield. Ash ran from her, laughing. She tackled him to the ground. "You know how much I hate that nickname!"

Ash, still laughing, stuttered out a reply. "S-sorry, b-but you s-started it!"

The girl opened her mouth to reply, then closed. Laughing, she answered, "yeah, I guess I did!"

They both laughed, and turned around to see everyone staring at them. The girl nudged Ash. "c'mon Ash, introduce me to your friends!"

Ash nodded, a blush still on his face. "Guys, this is Dawn, a top coordinator from Sinnoh and one of my best friends."

Dawn looked startled at the mention of her being a top coordinator. "You were watching?" she asked him.

Ash raised an eyebrow. " 'course, I always keep up with my friends, like how Max placed in the top 8 in the last Ever Grande conference, and how May won the Johto Grand Festival."

"So, if you keep up with what we're doing, did you know-"

"That May and Drew are dating? Yes." Ash answered. "Honestly, it was just a matter of time before those two got together."

Dwn gasped. "Could it be, that the densest person in the world, isn't as dense as we thought?" she asked with a smirk.

Ash grinned back. "Now, what in the world gave you that idea?"

Dawn laughed. She punched his arm lightly. "But seriously. Thanks for watching the Grand Festival, it. . . means a lot," she finished with a small blush on her face.

"Anytime," Ash answered with a similar blush.

Bonnie, who was about to run and ask her to take care of Clemont, noticed those blushes. She smirked, knowing that those two both like each other. Then, she glanced at Serena, who obviously noticed too. She was heartbroken. Bonnie pursed her lips. Then, she had a thought. 'What if. . .She and Clemont take care of each other?'

Serena was heartbroken. He crush, her hero was in love with someone else. She sighed, then put on a brave face and went over to them. "Hi, I'm Serena."

"Nice to meet ya!"

"Hey! I'm Bonnie, and this is my big brother, Clemont!"

"It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Likewise!" Dawn said. She then turned to Sawyer. "And you are. . .?"

"Sawyer! I-I'm Sawyer."

"Sawyer's from Hoenn," Ash informed Dawn.

"Cool!" she exclaimed. "Oh! D'you know someone named Drew?"

Sawyer looked up in surprise. "I-yeah, he's my cousin."

Ash and Dawn exchanged surprised looks.

"How d'you know him?" Sawyer inquired.

"He's dating a friend of ours," answered Dawn. Just then, Ash's phone rang. He picked it up.

"Why do I get the feeling that something just happened?" asked the person on the phone.

Ash huffed. "'Cause something just did, genius."

"Okay, you're snarky. That's not a good sign. What happened?" a pause. "Was it a legendary?"

The Kalos natives plus Sawyer were confused. Why would the person assume that a legendary had done something? People didn't meet that many. Usually.(But they're not Ash! *Pause* or Misty, Brock, May, Max, or Dawn, though.)

"No, nothing like that! Did Mist tell you 'bout the prophecy?"

"Which one?" the person on the other end of the phone said.

"Really?" Ash asked, annoyed. "What happened was that my Greninja and I synced up somehow, Dawn's here, and I really have to get my Pokemon to Nurse Joy." he winced, knowing what he said probably wasn't the best idea. Dawn stifled a laugh, or at least tried to. She failed, and burst out laughing as the person ranted about how beautiful Nurse Joy is, how she's the love of their life, blah blah blah, blah blah blah.

"Brock?" he asked. There was a pause in the rant. "Shut up. I really need to go, I'll call you a bit later, and be real, nobody even cares about your stupid flirting, especially since it never works anyways."

The Kalos natives plus one Hoenn native looked shocked at the words coming out of Ash's mouth.

A rueful laugh came out of the phone. "Yeah, sorry 'bout that. I might have gotten a bit carried away."

"A bit?" Dawn gassed out between laughter.

"Yeah, yeah. Talk later?"

"Mm hm," said Ash. "bye."

He turned off the phone and returned Greninja. They all walked into the Pokemon Center with Dawn trailing behind, not really wanting to know about the new prophecy. No one noticed a black-haired man watching from above.
