Hanahaki disease- a deadly illness caused by one sided love. As the love progresses, the victim will slowly have their lungs and heart overtaken by vines and flowers, which will eventually cause death. The cure is either to have their feelings reciprocated or to surgically remove the flowers- which also removes their love for the person.

3rd Person P.O.V.

"Hey, guys c'mon-" George felt a familiar tickle in his throat, quickly turning off his camera before cutting himself off with a sharp cough. He was quiet for a moment after, staring at the petals that had escaped his lips. They were blue and yellow, at least, he thought they were yellow. Without his special glasses, he couldn't really tell, and he wasn't wearing them at the moment.

"George? You there?" Dream wondered, startling the brunette. Swallowing thickly, he tossed the petals to the ground, recollecting himself before turning his cam back on with a smile.

"Yeah, sorry, I'm still here." He brought his attention back to the screen, seeing that Dream had killed him and stolen his stuff. "Seriously?!" He groaned, frustrated.

"Should've paid more attention, Gogy!" Dream wheezed. George sighed, respawning with not a single item to his name- again.

"Yeah, we need to win, so stay focused- DAMMIT!" Sapnap exclaimed, appearing at spawn moments later.

"Language!" Bad reprimanded, joining them at spawn. "Aw, muffins..." George chuckled lightly, smiling at his friends.

"sTaY fOcUsEd," he mocked teasingly, hearing Dream wheeze.

"Yeah, yeah." George could practically hear the eye roll in Sap's voice. "Let's just go. He's heading to the nether."

"No I'm not-!" Dream denied. Moments later, the advancement "we need to go deeper" appeared on screen, alerting everyone of Dream's lie.

"LIAR!" Sapnap yelled. He, George, and BBH ran to the trees, gathering new materials quickly. It wasn't as good as before, but it would be enough for now. They hurried to get to the nether, hoping to catch Dream. George swallowed roughly, throat sore from coughing up petals earlier. He just needed to finish this manhunt... then he could be alone.

"Over there! Look!" Bad brought attention to a green figure sprinting through a crimson forest, and all three of them ran towards it. Suddenly, George had a sharp pain in his chest, doubling over as he reached to turn off his cam and mic. It went unnoticed by the others, too caught up in the chase to notice George had disappeared.

The brunette groaned, stumbling to the bathroom, reaching the toilet just in time. A mess of petals spewed from his lips, like splatters of blue and yellow paint on a clean canvas. But there was more this time, something he had never coughed up before.

Floating on the surface of the water was a slightly wrinkled yellow flower.

An entire flower. An entire flower. George leaned back against the wall, closing his eyes with a sigh. He didn't know too much about hanahaki disease, but he did know that entire flowers meant it was progressing.

He hated this. Why him? Of course he had to fall in love with his best friend. Who, of course, could never love him back. Dream was straight, George knew this, and yet... they had something.

Maybe it was all his imagination.

Sighing, George stood up slowly, flushing the petals down before rinsing out his mouth. He looked like a mess, his cheeks were slightly puffy and he hurt all over, especially his chest and throat. But he had to finish the video, he couldn't just leave... oops.

Swallowing, George sat back in his chair, hesitating for a beat before turning his mic on, cam following a second later.

"GEORGE!"

"Heyyyy, guys..." he responded sheepishly, wincing at the sound of his voice.

"Woah, dude, you good? You sound awful- are you sick or something?" Sap wondered. George almost let out a short laugh at that, but stopped himself.

"I'm fine, let's just- lets just finish," he insisted. He could hear the hesitation of his friends' responses, but he didn't care.

"All right..."

They continued the hunt, but Dream was nowhere to be found (almost like... he was NotFound (LMAO SORRY)). Everyone was frustrated, especially George. He really couldn't do this, not right now...

As if his thoughts had been broadcasted all the way to Florida, George's phone rang- it was Dream. He muted his mic, turning away from the cam.

"Why did you call me?"

"Jesus, Gogy, you sound like you swallowed sandpaper! What's going on? Are you ok?" Dream asked, a touch of worry seeping into his voice. George felt his heart skip a beat at the thought of Dream worrying about him, but quickly pushed it down.

"Yeah, Dream, I'm fine," he lied, eyes darting to the petals on the ground.

"Are you sure? If you're not up to it, we can stop, try again another time. Nobody's streaming, so it would be ok." George frowned. If Dream was offering to put the manhunt on pause, he must've been really concerned... nobody took speed runs and manhunts as seriously as Dream.

George was quiet, thinking deeply. Of course he didn't want to keep doing this, especially not right now... but he also didn't want to make his friends worry.

"George?" Dream asked hesitantly, sighing. "I'm just going to stop the manhunt. You clearly aren't up to this."

"Wait, no, Dream, you don't have to do that-"

"Yes I do. Now go get some rest or something, I'll call you later and we can talk."

"...I guess... but please don't tell Sap and Bad that I'm the reason we're quitting early, I don't want them to worry..."

"Yeah, sure, whatever. Just heal up, George, we need you." George blushed a little at that comment, nodding even though Dream couldn't see him.

"Alright, bye Dream."

"Bye, George." They hung up the call, George quickly leaving the game before Dream could make an excuse to end the manhunt. He let out a sigh, getting up to go back to bed. It wouldn't fix anything, he knew that, but George was exhausted from throwing up all those petals.

And an entire flower.
