Demetri

Bella's reaction to my sparring with Jasper was arousing to the extreme and I knew the sex with my little mate tonight was going to be explosive. It took all of my considerable control to send her to Jasper for training instead of rushing to our rooms and taking her, preferably against a wall.

I controlled myself and Bella got busy with Jasper. I heard him say, "Guard your right side, Bella," and I looked over. Her guard had slipped on her right. He didn't just correct her though he said "It'll be easier for you to do it like this." He corrected her posture, raised her arm, and they tried it again. I went back to watching the others. Calling out my own corrections and helping them to prepare for what was coming.

After the day was finished we went into the recreation room and I poured Bella and me our normal glasses of wine. We'd gotten Bella a metal cup after she had broken almost all of the wine glasses. We settled on the couch and started talking. Bella curled up on my lap on the couch as she liked to do and we all started talking.

"So what led to you leaving the Cullens?" Jane asked Emmett.

"There was a huge fight. I thought Carlisle was actually going to hit Jasper when he refused to call his old army buddies to help. Rose and Alice were determined that we would get Bella back." Emmett said.

"Carlisle is saying Chelsea formed the bond between Demetri and Bella and that Marcus is lying about it being a mate bond," Jasper added. "My army buddies are coming, but they are coming to help our side. It surprised me when he insisted. He always said they weren't trustworthy enough to stay with us and feed out of the area when they tried to visit."

"After that fight, I got in a fight with Rose trying to convince her to come here and help. She thinks Bella should be left where she is and not because she doesn't believe Carlisle. She just thinks Bella deserves whatever she gets." Emmett said.

I growled.

"Sorry Demetri, we know the truth man."

"I got in a fight with Alice. She can't see your future anymore and swears that the last she saw you belong with Edward. She's supporting them in this whole mess. Finally we both just left to get away from the craziness and warmongering. I may not want to fight anymore but if I have to I'm damn sure going to be on the right side."

"How could you two leave your mates? It hurts to be away from Demetri if he's in the next room." Bella asked.

"That pull has never been there Darlin," Jasper explained. "I think Alice and I were companions, not mates. I'm envious of ya little darlin' finding your true mate so young. You're lucky." Jasper said.

"I never questioned it, Bella. I never felt a pulling to be where Rose was. That was just where I wanted to go. We loved each other and the sex was, um...I guess we were just companions too." Emmett rambled.

Bella squeezed my hand tightly and sipped her wine as we all talked. I thought Emmett and Jasper would fit in just fine. Bella got progressively quieter as the night went on. Perhaps it was all too much for the newborn mind to deal with and she was just deep in thought.

As I was getting ready to leave Alec walked in. "Honey I'm home." He announced to the room. Everyone but Bella laughed. Bella stood up. "Did you get her," she asked hopefully.

"That vampire is nowhere around Forks Washington, Seattle, or any place on that side of the country. We tracked her but she was long gone. I'm sorry Bella."

Bella sat back down on my lap hard. I wrapped my arms around her and held her to me tightly.

When Bella finished her wine she looked at me and we both got up and went back to our rooms.

When we walked in she jumped in my arms and started sobbing. "Don't leave me, Demetri. Please don't leave me." She cried.

I was shocked at the outburst but set about soothing my distraught mate.

Bella

I was sobbing uncontrollably. I held on to Demetri as tightly as I could.

"What is this, my little love? I'm not going anywhere. I'm your mate."

"But Emmett thought he and Rose were mates as well. We can't be wrong. I can't lose you. I can't. I couldn't handle it and..."

"Sh my love. We are mates. Master Marcus even told you so, remember?"

I nodded into his shoulder and started to calm.

"I just couldn't stand the thought that they could leave their mates and what if that happened to us?" Bella asked.

"It won't happen my love. You feel my absence as I feel yours when I go a room away. Marcus has seen our bond and declared it beautiful. You also felt it when you first woke up to this world. Do you remember my love? The first thing you did was claim me."

"I'm sorry Demetri. I panicked. Didn't I?" I asked my Demetri.

"You did my love but it's to be expected. You are a newborn."

When I was completely calm Demetri and I made love slowly, passionately. He re-marked me when we orgasmed together and that threw us into a round of fast, hard lovemaking.

We made love until it was time for me to go feed again. Jane took me to feed while Demetri went to get back to work.

When I was cleaned back up and my hair was dry we went to the regular guard's training room.

Jasper was waiting for me. He started simply. "I want you to work on your shield today Bella. Let's start with having you shield only yourself. I want you to hold it for as long as you can."

Bella's shield sprang into existence. "This isn't taxing Jasper. I've done this already."

"Okay then expand it to cover me too," Jasper instructed.

Bella fought her shield to expand but it wouldn't move. She worked on it for a few hours when she had another idea. She gave him his own shield.

"It won't expand but I can give you one of your own."

"Very good," Jasper said, "now hold them both for as long as you can."

Three hours later Jasper called Jane over to us. I shielded her as well. Another hour passed and Jasper had me add Felix under his own shield.

I was getting thirsty, tired, and irritable.

Finally, I admitted, "I can't hold it much longer."

Jasper conceded saying, "Take the shields away Bella."

I let them go with a huge sigh of relief.

"Now put them back," Jasper said, "and hold them all."

We repeated the exercise four more times. Each time holding it as long as I could. The others were long gone by the time we finished.

"Now Bella I want you to..." Jasper said.

"I have to feed." I insisted.

"One more time and you can feed."

"She can feed now," Demetri said as he walked in.

"She needs to learn to work thirsty."

"It's two hours past time. Her gift is draining and she is just now asking to feed. We are not in the south Major."

"Very well," Jasper agreed.

"Come on," Jane said and took me to feed.

Once I was clean I thanked Jane and went to find my Demetri. I found him in the training room alone with Jasper. They were sparring. They traded corrections and tips back and forth. Instead of interrupting I stood in the corner and watched them. I tried to learn as they did. They weren't moving at full speed, so I watched carefully.

They were both amazing warriors. Good fighters. It was amazing to watch, arousing too.

Bella didn't know how long she'd been watching when Jasper cleared his throat uncomfortably. "I think the little Darlin needs ya, Captain. Um, I'll just leave you to be for now. See you tomorrow."

Jasper nodded at me as he walked by with a wicked smile on his face.

"And what were you feeling that disturbed Jasper my love."

I ran to him and tackled him on the ground, ripping off his clothes and eager to get to him.

"Is that the way it is love? Do you like watching me fight?"

"Yes! Demetri, Take me now."

"Someone could come in little one?" Demetri asked.

"Don't care, need you." I tore off his shirt and he quickly unbuttoned his own pants. Soon we were both gloriously naked. He entered me quickly. He claimed me with passion and vigor that I'd never experienced before. Soon we lay in a satisfied heap on the floor

"Time to get dressed Bella and get out of here before we are found."

I ducked my head surprised at my behavior putting my clothes on quickly. "I practically attacked you," I admitted.

"Yes and it was amazing wasn't it little one."

Demetri zipped his jeans and collected his ripped clothing.

"Sorry about your shirt."

"That won't be the only shirt I lose to you. Not even close." Demetri chuckled.

If I could have blushed I would have.
