Abiram was very small when he was born. He was at least a pound less than Marcias was when She was born. He was perfectly healthy however.
"Can I hold him," Marcias asked.
"I just need to clean him up," Joseph said smiling, "and then you can hold him."
"Okay," Marcias said smiling.
Joseph cleaned Abiram up. He dressed him in a blue swaddling blanket. He brought him to Marcias to hold.
"Sit down dear," he said.
Marcias sat down. Joseph gently handed Her the baby.
"Hi Abiram," She said brightly, "I'm your big sister. I love you."
Abiram looked up at Her, his eyes bright and wide.
"Right now you don't know how much I love you but one day you will know," Marcias told him.
She kissed him lightly on the forehead. Abiram looked happy. He cooed.
"You are so sweet," Marcias continued, "You are so handsome."
She gently handed him to Her mother.
"He's so handsome," Marcias said smiling.
"He is," Mary said breastfeeding her newborn son.
"Daddy," Marcias said to Joseph, "I'm hungry."
"Come on," Joseph said, "I'll make you something to eat."
He made Her some fried potatoes and a sandwich.
"Thank you daddy," she said.
"You're welcome," Joseph said, "You have such good manners."
"I like having good manners," Marcias said.
Joseph ruffled Her hair.
Abiram fell asleep after he was fed.
"Let's take him to be blessed," Mary said.
"I can bless him," Marcias said.
Mary and Joseph looked at each other. Seconds later Mary handed the baby to Marcias. Marcias took the baby in her arms. She spoke.
"בשם אבי שבשמיים אני מברך אותך"
That means, "In the name of my Heavenly Father I bless you."
She asked for some oil and put it on his head. He didn't even stir when the oil was put on his head. The next day they took him to Rabbi Joshia.
"Meet our son," Joseph said, "Marcias brother and we have taken him to be blessed once again."
