Chapter 6

It was one surprise after the other, not a single dull moment has passed through his time visiting the nine realms. Well 'visiting' wasn't really the correct term for the situation he found himself in. Being dragged around thanks to the Norn stone and his great responsibility not allowing him to look the other way when he found Ares and Loki trying to steal it from a museum. His mind wandered to his friends and how he didn't even get a chance to celebrate his graduation with them. Also wondering how his aunt May was doing

'Hopefully she's not too worried.' Peter thought. He pushed his thoughts and worries to the side and focused on his current situation. Following a fairy through an open grassy plane along with the princess of the amazons. But at this point he could safely say that nothing can surprise him anymore.

"We are almost there." The fairy said.

"Where are we exactly?" Peter asked. He needed to ask this question, he knew they weren't in Midgard anymore. The beautiful area, pixies, fairies, even unicorns confirmed that they were somewhere else. Continuing their trek forward he saw something glowing in the distance. Smoke most likely from a fire was coming up and over a hill that they were approaching.

"You are in the wonderful land of Alfheimr." The Fairy said. She stopped and faced them. "You know we've known each other not that long now. But you still haven't asked me what my name is." Pausing in front of them she flew circles around Diana and landed on her shoulder.

"I am Diana, Princess of Themyscira and daughter of Hippolyta." Diana said full of pride. Peter looked at her with a smile under his mask, she definitely carries herself as a princess."What is your name?" she followed,

The fairy fluttered her wings in excitement "Wow! A real life princess! I am honored to meet you." she said. "My name is Aine."

"My names Spid-" Peter was cut off

"We should keep moving. We're almost there." Aine said as she flew in front of them again leading the way. Diana had to hold in a giggle as she looked at Peter for a second and followed after her.

"This is gonna be another long day." Peter said. He slumped his shoulder and followed after the two women.

Above the nine realms sit's Asgard, home of the Aesir tribe of gods. A beautiful city made of gold surrounded by mountain ranges that seem to pierce the sky. A peaceful place thanks to the efforts of Odin the All Father and his armies. A lot has happened to bring Asgard to this place of undisturbed peace. The front of the city was graced with a rainbow bridged that stretched far out above the crystal blue waters. The Bifrost as it is better known connects Asgard to the nine realms and is guarded by Heimdal. With his extraordinary acute superhuman senses, most notably his vision and hearing. He keeps a watchful eye over the realms and informs the others of any danger. But something was amiss this day, a certain god that he was keeping a watchful eye on has vanished from his sight. He who can see everything was unable to locate the trickster. Odin has sensed a danger was brewing but was unable to pinpoint what it was exactly. So he asked Heimdal to keep an extra close eye on the realms before he fell into his Odin sleep.

But now that he noticed that something wasn't right he summoned Thor the god of thunder. Hearing the loud footsteps entering the observatory that stood at the end of the Bifrost. Heimdall keeping his gaze out into the realms called out to Thor.

"Hail Son of Odin!" Heimdall said.

"Your Vision is as amazing as ever, old friend." Thor said. 'Forged of Asgardian Steel and inscribed with the sacred Runes of Odin, his silver battle armor was on full display. Topped with his red cape that flowed down his back and his winged helmet. "It has been far too long my friend."

"That it has Odin son." Heimdall said as he turned and faced Thor. "But I heard you approaching as soon as you rolled out of bed."

Thors deep laughter filled the room as a smile crept onto Heimdalls' face.

"Your vision is as sharp as ever." Thor said. Reaching his right hand out and shaking Heimdalls'. "But you would not have summoned me here if something was not amiss."

"Right you are Odin Son." Heimdall said. "It is regarding your brother."

Thor's eyebrows furrowed and his grip around Mjolnir tightened, his brother has changed from when they were children. It pains him that he was unable to reach him and bring him back home. They often times would join each other on missions. But what Thor thought was a close relationship he had with his brother, well it turned out to be just the opposite.

"Where is he now?" Thor asked. He took a few steps forward and stared out into the stars.

"His location is unknown to me, most likely casting a spell to hide from my site." Heimdall said. He walked closer and stopped next to Thor and let out a brief sigh, "It would be too much of a hassle for me to explain, so allow me to show you." He turned and brought his right hand up to Thor's temple, a surge of everything that Heimdall was able to see began to flow through his mind. He watched Loki and the Olympian god of war infiltrate a museum which held a Norn stone. He watched as The Man of Spiders thwarted their plans for a moment before he himself was teleported away. He saw his journey through some of the realms, of which are no place for a mortal, before he ended up on the island of he's only heard legends about, but Heimdalls' vision into the island was distorted, it was foggy, hazy even only able to pick up silhouettes of people but no features. But was able to see most of the events that occurred until, just like before he was unable to see anything. But he saw the Horn of Hela and the army of the dead.

"Why was this not brought to my attention earlier?" Thor said. He looked at his friend but had a feeling of what his answer might be.

"Your father only ordered me to witness, to keep a close eye on your brother." Heimdall walked back up the small golden steps to where he was able to look out into the cosmos. "But considering the circumstances, and Odin replenishing his powers in the Odin sleep. I believe it is time to take action and make sure that these dangers do not make it to Asgard."

Thor gave a thoughtful expression before a grin formed on his face thinking of the glorious battle that was bound to take place. He has heard stories of the Olympian God of War and he is ready to see if he lives up to them. Ready to see if he was able to handle lightning from Mjolnir,

"Well you are most certainly not going alone."

A woman's voice came from behind the two men, spoken with authority. Lady Sif was her namethe goddess of fertility, the hunt, and the harvest. Being a shield maiden for Asgard was no small feet. She is among some of the most powerful warriors that Asgard has to offer. Her armor consisted of a collared red mini-dress and was covered with silver plating. Red armored boots that reached up to her thighs but still showed off her amazing figure. A battle helm that resembled Thors but her Long black hair was visible through the top and made into a ponytail.

"I am not at all surprised that you would volunteer yourself." Thor said. A smile on his face as he walked closer to the woman. "The Man of Spiders could be in grave danger, perhaps he requires you to come to his rescue."

Heimdall cracked a smile as they noticed the faintest of blushes appear on her face. Which was a rare occurrence considering her authoritarian attitude.

"I wish to defend Asgard from the pending peril and nothing more!" Sif said as she turned and began to walk away. But a smile of her own graced her lips as she thought of her favorite mortal, but quickly was replaced with determination.

"You should make haste, I will be able to send you near the island of the amazons to retrieve the Horn." Heimdall said. "But the magic that defends it from outsiders wont allow me to see you directly inside. But I know of the general area of where it is located."

"Worry not my friend, we will be able to regain control of the Norn stone and be back for a feast!" Thor proclaimed holding Mjolnir up high. "And Sif will be able to have the Man of Spiders to herself."

Thor turned and caught a knife inches from his face as he noticed Sif looking at him. He felt sweat trickle down his cheek noticing the deadly stair the goddess of a woman was giving him.

"You should choose your battles wisely." Heimdall said. Patting Thor on the shoulder,

"Aye."

Finding themselves in a dense jungle once again Diana and Peter continued following Aine the fairy. Peter wasn't tired, but some of his injuries and cuts were catching up to him. He found it harder to breathe and leaned against a tree. He took a moment to catch his breath and gather his bearings. Bringing his hand down he felt the cut from before, the bleeding hadn't stopped. 'What is it with evil gods and knives' Peter thought to himself. Diana noticed this and approached him, she knelt down to get a closer look. Wincing at the amount of blood that he lost, she placed his arm around her shoulders and was ready to help him walk the rest of the way.

"I'm fine really." Peter said, shrugging off her concern. But she gave him a look basically saying 'I don't believe you' so he let it happen.

"You aren't fine." Diana said looking over at Aine. "Are we almost there? He cannot continue this journey like this for much longer."

"Just about." Aine said as she flew around and noticed the large cut on Spider-Man.

"Where are we going anyway?" Peter asked, he leaned against Diana as Aine continued to lead them through the jungle.

"Just wait, I promise we are almost there." Aine said. Considering that she wasn't triggering his spider sense. He felt no reason to not trust her, and regardless she was there only hope into finding Loki and Ares. They haven't seen a single clue regarding their whereabouts. Sure they were following a fairy the entire time, but something should have popped up. They did teleport here together but were somehow separate now. So they continued following after her and hoped that they finally arrived, wherever it was that she was taking them.

"By the way…" Peter said in a low tone, almost a whisper. "I didn't mention it earlier but something triggered my spider sense."

"Spider sense?" Diana asked, confused. She used her left arm to push away some of the larger vines that were obstructing their path.

"Uhhh Yeah, it's a sixth sense I have that warns me of danger." Peter said. He let out a hiss of pain as he gripped his cut. Diana looked at him again worriedly, she halted her movement to give him a chance to catch his breath. She did a quick scan of the area and noticed that they had made no progress. They were still in the thick jungle surrounded by trees, bushes, and vines.

"Don't worry about me princess, I've had worse trust me." He said with a smile under his mask. Which quickly fell due to the white hot pain he began to feel, but he held it in not to worry her anymore.

"I'm inclined to believe you." Diana said with amusement in her voice. "Lean on me more, I will help you the rest of the way."

"Will you two hurry up!" Aine shouted off in the distance. Her voice echoing through the jungle. Peter couldn't offer any resistance, so he nodded and leaned more of his weight on her.

They finally caught up with Aine, who was waiting for them at an open area in the jungle. The lush green trees formed a perfect circle and they stood in the center, the jungle canopy above neglect the area they were standing in. Looking up they could see the night sky and the many stars and moons it had to offer. The light breeze brushed past them, it was beautiful.

"We're here." Aine said. She enjoyed the puzzled looks that littered across their faces as she said that.

"Where is 'here' exactly?" Peter said. He briefly let go of Diana and looked around the area.

"You aren't looking close enough." She followed up with a giggle.

"Magic…" Diana said. Her hand came up to her chin as she looked around.

"Ding Ding Ding! You have guessed correctly my dear princess." Aine fluttered her wings and began to fly in circles. Blue dust began to trail behind her as it sparkled in the moonlight.

Peter not being a real believer in magic more so in science, he was trying to have an open mind. Given everything he's been through in the past couple of days. The area began to glow and suddenly the jungle that surrounded them disappeared. The small area that they were in multiplied in size and they were in the middle of a village. The air was moist and the sound of a water fall running straight through the center of the village could be heard and seen. It was really hard to miss. There were homes made into the giant tree trunks and bridges and walkways all throughout the area. Lanterns lit up the town along with the moon above,

"These are the light elves. They're friendly, well friendlier than the ones that reside Svartalfheim."Aines said. She led the way through the town of the light elves, they looked at them and smiled.

'I really have to stop saying that nothing will surprise me anymore.'

"Do not let it reach the palace!" Hippolyta shouted. Bringing her sword into the air she pointed it at the giant undead creature. A tsunami of fire arrows headed towards it and made impact causing it to halt its advancement forward. "Now!"

Artemis and Antiope charged forward on horse back, they had a rope reaching between the two of them. Circling the giant creature they wrapped its legs, leaping off of their horses they began to pull with all of their strength. Muscles bulging as their attempt were successful and the creature came tumbling down towards the ground. Upon impact the ground shook violently and in an instant more amazons came out. They threw spears over the monster and the amazons on the other side caught them and dug them into the earth. Repeating this process until it was fully restraint they held on as long as they could. Dozens of amazons on each side held down the ropes, feeling the weight of the giant creature fight against them.

"What do we do now my Queen?"

Hippolyta looked around at her amazons holding the giant creature still as long as they could, but it was obvious that it was taking its toll. Everything they have thrown at it so far has failed, repairing itself from its injuries almost instantly. Her mind raced with solutions it's her job to keep her people safe and lead them to victory.

"Bring more restraints! Archers prepare to fire!" Hippolyta shouted. She mounted her horse once again followed by Antiope. Riding to the front where the beasts head was located, she continued to think of more permanent ways to lay waste to this creature.

"You do not have another plan do you sister?" Antiope said. A playful grin formed across her face that Hippolyta returned.

"The gods will not let us fall this day, every beast has its weakness." Hippolyta offered. "We will claim victory over it! And send it back to the pits of which it came!"

"Indeed it does sister, and I have no doubts that we will. But that was not an answer or solution to the problem we face." Antiope said. Arriving at the base of its skull they were greeted to multiple amazon units. Holding onto the rope that was around its neck they struggled to keep the beast down. When suddenly the ground shook violently and one of its legs could be seen moving into the air. The amazons holding down that part were finally overwhelmed, the clock was ticking. Needing to come up with a solution fast, she ran through every possible one, the most reasonable being sending another wave of fire boulders and arrows to knock it back over again.

With another crack the right arm broke free and it began to swing itself in the air. The amazons that were holding it down rushed over. Before any of them could voice there concern Hippolyta spoke,

"Fall back, engage the last line of defenses!" Hippolyta ordered.

"Sister what are you.." Antiope began to say.

The clouds darkened and roared almost in anger, lightning began to fill the air. The island shook from the thunder that roared in the skies. Lightning began to rain down around the creature before a bolt made contact directly on the creature chest. It roared in pain or more so in anger, finally finding its second wing it freed itself from the other amazons. Following the Queens orders they began to fall back towards the capitol buildings. Rendezvoused with Hippolyta and Antiope, Donna appeared by their side.

"Was that Zeus? Has he finally come to aide us?" Donna asked.

KRAAAAAKOOOOOOM

KRAAAAAKOOOOOOM

"No." Hippolyta said.

Looking up into the sky, they watched as a figure came rushing towards the now standing undead giant. Lightning was emitting from his entire body and he held a silver hammer, with no intentions in stopping he closed in on the creature.

"For Asgard!" Thor shouted. He rammed into the giant sending it stumbling back as he floated higher in the air. More and more clouds began to fill the are, darker than anything they have seen in a very long time. "You will not cause these people anymore harm, so says the son of odin!"

KRAAAAAAKOOOOOM

Another lighting bolt connected with the giants chest forcing it back and away from the capitol building of the amazons.

"Son of Odin?" Antiope said thoughtfully. She brought her arms under her bust and looked at the man that was wielding lightning.

"Thor prince of Asgard."

There attention was brought away from the battle that ensued in front of them as they noticed two women approach them. None that they recognized, they were not amazons but they might as well have been. Both in armor crafted to perfection, one with long black hair and red cloth accent and the other with long blonde hair and silver and blue armor.

"Who are?" Hippolyta spoke.

"I am Sif of Asgard, and this is Brunnhilde." She said with a bow. "We can finish the formalities another time, but for now I will be needing the Horn of Hela."

"My brother has entered the frey." Loki said. The cave was dark illuminated only by torches that were carried by the Dark elves. Strange marking were engraved into the walls. Ares brought his hand up and felt the texture of them under his finger tips.

"They better be as formidable as you say Asgardian." He said looking at the dark elves. "I will not tolerate anymore errors."

"Had you been able to wipe the amazons out quicker we would not have needed to change our plans." Loki retorted. He noticed Ares turn and glare at him, his brow furrowed and his palms made into fists.

"Mind your tongue, if it were not for your pitiful excuse of a weapon we would have already won."

"Did you not consume the conflict? Did you not gain energy from the battle that ensued? Remember that it was only possible with out interference by my magic. The so called gods that sit on mount Olympus were not able to sense or see what was transpiring." Loki said. "And besides the horn is still not lost to us…before I handed it over to you I casted a spell that won't let my brother or his wench fiddle with it. Typical Olympians always thinking with your swords instead of your heads."

In the blink of an eye Ares hoisted Loki up by his neck, eyes glowing with anger as a sword appeared in his left hand.

"I said. Mind Your tongue." Ares grip around Loki's throat tightened even more causing him to gag and bring a hand up and try to relieve the stress that was being applied. "Make no mistake Asgardian you are only a means to an end. But you will out live your worth to me."

Loki disappeared from Ares's grip and re appeared behind him, he rubbed his neck. "Charmer, but lets not kill each other just yet. There is still so much to do."
