Chapter 06: A New Life

It felt like Michiru and Shirou were in that room for hours, the interrogation went by smoothly with the both of them answering questions about their powers and lives.

From the looks of it, they were innocent and could be released for sure but the question is if it's possible.

Their ID's and blood tests were useless on identifying them or their quirks in the police and Japanese database.

They were victims in all this, lost in a world where most of the population had powers and heroes were a reality.

All they had was each other, they had nothing but their clothes and possessions they carried, they would have to start over here.

Their only hope now was the people on the other side of that window would believe them and they could help them.

On the other side of the window the detectives, heroes and Principle Nezu were going through what they got from the interrogation.

This was one of the most incredible cases the police have ever had before.

A girl who was quirkless and got these 'beast powers' from a blood transfusion and a man who can turn into a wolf, but was gifted with immortality and almost godly powers of his wolf quirk.

These two were one of the most interesting people yet, and being from a different Earth was what made it unbelievable, but it did explain their ID's, unregistered quirks, and their story.

"Am I still alright to go and speak to them?" Asked Nezu as he went up to the Chief of Police and Detective Tsukauchi, catching their attention after they were discussing with Nighteye about his opinion on Michiru and Shirou.

"Yes you may Principle Nezu, but I would like to accompany you for I wish to speak with Michiru's friend, woof." Replied The Chief of Police.

The both of them started walking out the door to the Interrogation room.

"I'm guessing those two are gonna give offers Michiru and Shirou can't refuse." Said Tsukauchi to Nighteye.

"It's not surprising, after all they are from another Earth." Said Nighteye.

Tsukauchi looked over as he was confused but wondering if Nighteye truly believed where those two people came from.

But he trusted Nighteye's judgment, if he used his foresight and was confident that these two were telling the truth, then he trusts him.

"Do you really believe their story?" Asked the Orca.

He's faced countless villains as a Pro, many of them have tried to make up countless stories to get themselves off the hook but it only made them more guilty.

He wasn't yet sure if this girl and her friend were telling the truth.

"I've already used my foresight on them, and from what I've seen, it's more than enough to know they are telling the truth." Replied Nighteye with a blank look in his face.

Nighteye's foresight allowed him to see the future of any person but it had its limits.

He could only look into one person's future each day and activate his quirk by coming into physical contact, looking at them directly.

He's spent much of his time in his work as a Pro-Hero, learning a lot from it, especially when he was the former sidekick of the Symbol of Peace.

From what he saw in Shirou's future wasn't surprising for how he cooperated, there was Shirou with their bird on his shoulder as he shook hands with the Chief of Police and Nezu speaking with Michiru as she was smiling in delight.

It was obvious after what they went through, they were given a chance to start over.

After Nighteye discussed the future he saw with the detectives, they knew now that these two people were the real deal.

The both of them were innocent and with Nezu's theory of them being from another Earth, they would need a chance to start over.

"After everything we've heard here, you all must promise to keep this secret, if this gets out about their powers, it will make them targets." Said Tsukauchi.

"Unless it's someone we can trust for you to share what you've heard today, you can't say a word, like this never happened." Said Tsukauchi as he made the expression of zipping his lips, making sure the Pro-Heroes understood how serious this was.

"Whatever you say." Said the hero with wings.

"I promise." Said Nezu.

"Yes Tsukauchi." Said the orca.

"I'll ensure this stays secret." Said Nighteye

With that the Pro-Heroes made a promise to ensure this secret would be taken to their graves.

In this world people with powers only have one quirk or a mix of quirks from their parents.

As long as people didn't know the extent of Michiru and Shirou's quirks then they would be safe, but they would have to keep this secret as well.

In the Interrogation Room

Shirou had wondered if what he said was right to the detectives but he had to trust them.

Shirou's thinking was interrupted when two different people entered the room.

Michiru seemed rather confused about them, they were animals just like her and Shirou, especially the small mouse/dog looking man in a vest.

"I know what you're thinking, am I a mouse or a dog, who knows!" Yelled Nezu with a joyful tone.

"You must be Michiru, the girl I heard so much about!" Yelled Nezu as he was still in his usual joyful self but it made Michiru smile, blushing as she held the back of her head with one of her hands.

"Yeah that's me, Michiru Kagemori." Said Michiru.

She seemed calmer and more comfortable after everything that had happened.

For as long Shirou as had known her she was always friendly and social.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, I am Principle Nezu of U.A. Highschool but you may call me Nezu!" Yelled Nezu as the person next to him walked forward.

"My name is Kenji Tsuragamae, I am the Chief of Police, we wanted to speak with you about an offer for the both of you, woof." Said The Chief of Police.

His last comment made both Michiru and Shirou curious, with the both of them lifting an eyebrow.

Woof? Asked Shirou as he didn't know if he should take offence to that since he was wolf beastman.

Offer? Asked Michiru as she wondered what this offer could be.

"We're quite aware now that you aren't from this Earth, we're terribly sorry for everything you've been through." Said Nezu.

"We know since you're most likely stuck here, we wanted to help you two start over your lives!" Yelled Nezu as he immediately lightened the mood in the room, with both Shirou and Michiru widening their eyes to the small mouse's response.

"Heh, really?!" Yelled Michiru as she was surprised and shocked, waking Kuro up by surprise as he cawed, flying onto Shirou's shoulder.

"Michiru, behave yourself." Said Shirou while looking at her as she realized how she acted.

"Sorry Shirou." Said Michiru as she blushed slightly in embarrassment.

"Thank you, we are truly thankful for your help." Said Shirou.

"But before you tell us your offer, I have a question if you don't mind." Said Shirou with his arms crossed.

He was thankful for the opportunity for him and Michiru to start over here, but he still didn't know how they got here.

If this world had superpowers beyond imagination, then maybe there's an explanation.

"All you gotta do is ask my friend, woof." Said The Chief of Police.

"Do you know by any chance on how we got here?" Asked Shirou.

"I'm afraid that's what we're trying to find out, we know you were both brought in a beam of light." Replied the cheif.

"Most likely it was an dimensional quirk, or an illegal experiment that failed, woof." Said The Cheif

"Or was successful." Said Michiru as she stood up, showing confidence.

"If you need help, count us in Chief." Said Shirou as he then followed with Michiru, standing up as well with Kuro cawing on Shirou's shoulder.

The Chief admired their determination, wanting to help wherever they could was the trait of a hero.

"I admire your determination to help but I'm afraid this isn't like Anima City." Said the chief.

"In order to use your quirks, you would have to have a Provisional hero license or working in public safety such as police, to top that off, Michiru, you're not old enough." Said the Chief.

"But here, people who wish to become heroes can apply to some of the best hero schools in the world, once they're out of Middle School, which is where Nezu comes in." Said The Chief.

"Just as I said, I'm a principal with a High School called U.A., where some of the best heroes in Japan were trained, including the Number One Hero!" Yelled Nezu.

"Michiru, I would be honored to have you apply and make it into UA, so you may become one of the next generation of heroes!" Yelled Nezu as he bowed shortly.

Michiru's eyes sparkle as she realized she can use her powers for good.

She wasn't afraid of being judged or treated badly, she was wanted, and had so much potential.

Just as they said, this wasn't Anima City anymore, things were different.

" I-I can't believe it, I'm so honored thank you!" Yelled Michiru as she bowed as well giving Nezu joy to hear Michiru will apply for U.A.

"I am so glad but of course you would have to pass the entrance exam if you want to get in." Said Nezu.

His comment made Michiru pause for a moment.

Her smile slowly faded as she then groaned.

"Damn, there's always a catch." Said Michiru.

"Oh well, nothings handed to you anyway, how far away is the entrance exam anyway?" Asked Michiru.

"About 10 months away actually, and at the age you are you'll be able to apply!" Yelled Michiru.

"But you would need to get enrolled into a school until then, there are a few things we would have to cover about that!" Yelled Nezu as he pulled a sheet of paper out of his vest, giving it to Michiru.

As she read it she noticed some of the guidelines, especially one that was underlined, stating no usage of quirks in school.

Great, no powers in school, which means I can't be in my Beast Form. Thought Michiru as she pouted at the thought.

"Yes indeed, but first Shirou we would like to offer you a job, woof." Said the cheif.

"Since you have some experience working in Public Safety and fighting against criminals we would like to give you a choice on what job you desire, woof." Said the chief.

"What are my choices?" Asked Shirou.

"We would like for you to become a Detective with us here, if not, you can work as a Pro-Hero but you would have to be supervised since you don't have a license, woof." Replied the chief.

"Hmm, I see it's a tough choice." Said Shirou, knowing once he picked one he would have to stick with it.

But he's practically done both, aiding the police while acting as a protector.

"Why not do both?" Asked Michiru.

"You can be a Pro-Hero while aiding the police in any investigation they need your assistance in." Said Michiru.

"That's not a bad idea Michiru, what do you say Shirou, woof?" Asked the Chief as he held out his hand for a handshake as he waited for a reply.

Shirou could never refuse an offer to help others, without hesitation he shook the Chiefs hand.

"When do I start?" Asked Shirou as he smiled and the Chief smiled back at his reply.

"Excellent, we will have you start next week if it's alright, but first let's get you two and your bird settled into your new home, woof." Said the chief.

"Oh one more question, actually do you know by any chance where we are in Japan?" Asked Michiru.

Even though most of her questions were answered, Michiru still didn't recognize what city she was in.

Even though she had lived mainly by the countryside, she knew a good portion of Japan's cities but didn't quite know where they currently were.

"Oh my deepest apologies. Michiru Kagemori, Shirou Ogami, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Mustafu, Japan, woof!" Yelled the cheif.

A week later

It had been a week since Michiru, Shirou and Kuro had settled in their new home in Mustafu, Japan.

They were moved into a decent sized home that was already paid for, coming with some of the necessities they would need, nothing fancy but it was better than nothing.

They were given some money for food and other things they wished to purchase until Shirou had begun working as a Pro-Hero.

Their registration and new ID's were given to them the moment they arrived into their new home.

They were updated from their Anima City ID's and were given names for their quirks.

Although their quirks were similar, Shirou was listed as Michiru's care taker since Michiru plans to live an independent life for when she turns 18.

Michiru had to get herself prepared as in a couple days, she would start school again.

She never really thought she would go back to school, even after she got her powers since she had moved to Anima City.

Having to read the guidelines Principal Nezu had given her, Michiru was given some information of the expectations and other details of what her school had.

To top it off, the requirements for the Entrance Exam were high, meaning the next 10 months she would have to work hard studying and keeping herself in shape for it.

Luckily there was a basketball court just a couple minutes from their house which was nice, a chance to practice what she used to love doing.

But she couldn't help but think about everything that happened, even though the people here treated her and Shirou with such kindness, she missed Anima City, her friends, her family.

Nazuna.

On the other hand Shirou had a lot to deal with, as he began to study early for his Provisional License and went over some key details of being a Pro-Hero.

He was informed he would start working alongside the Pro's within a day or so and until then he would have to make sure he was ready.

From what he's seen, he would need a costume, which seemed rather silly and a hero name.

He decided to stick with his regular look, wearing his light brown trench coat over his black shirt, and a small belt around his neck, sometimes wearing black gloves.

The only times he removed the belt was in serious situations, times when he would have to use his true power like during the whole Alan and Nazuna being the Silver Wolf and all.

But until then he would have to stick with his regular Beast powers and keep the extent of his power a secret.

All he needed now was a hero name, but it didn't take him long to think of one.

He thought back to what his goal was for centuries, to protect Beastman from mankind.

He was given a name for being their protector and was treated as if he was a god, someone to pray and ask for protection.

He never really liked being worshiped, but he thought this was the right name for him.

He went to his room and picked up his provisional license form, and filled out his hero name: The Wolf Beast Hero- Silver Wolf.

Kuro began cawing from the hallway as he heard a knock on the door.

Michiru rushed to the door as Kuro flew onto her shoulder before she could open it.

She opened the door seeing people she recognized, a woman in a purple and white costume with horns and a man who looked like a buff demolition worker with giant arms.

"Hey I remember you guys!" Yelled Michiru as she was greatly surprised to see the heroes they first encountered from the alley.

She knew there would be some Pro-Heroes coming for Shirou but she didn't know it would be these Pros.

"Hey kid, Michiru right?" Asked the guy.

"I'm Death Arms, sorry that we got on the wrong foot back in that alleyway, hope you guys are settling in well here." Said Death Arms while nudging for his friend to introduce himself next.

"I'm Mt. Lady, it's nice getting to talk to you again, we were wondering, is Shirou here by any chance?" Asked Mt. Lady introduced herself.

Michiru realize he was in his room finishing his forms and studying for his Provisional License.

"Oh yeah he's here hang on." Said Michiru.

"Shirou they're here!" Yelled Michiru.

Shirou already knew who it was after hearing what Michiru shouted, after all they weren't expecting anyone else.

He put down his License form, grabbing his phone before he began walking out to the door and saw the two Pro's talking to Michiru.

"It's you two from the alley, where's your friend, the one that's made of wood?" Asked Shirou.

Since it seem like they were working together when they were seen together at the alleyway and at their new house.

"Oh you mean Kamui Woods?" Asked Death Arms.

"He's outside waiting on us." Said Death Arms as he was holding his jaw, rubbing it since he was still sore from the punch Shirou had given him.

Shirou knew since he would be working with these people, the least he could do was ask how Death Arm was doing after their fight.

"How's your jaw doing, I know you took a pretty good hit from me back in that alley." Asked Shirou.

"It's doing a lot better, got to admit you pack a punch, thanks for asking though." Replied Death Arms as he smiled while giving a thumbs up to Shirou.

"So you ready to go honey?" Asked Mt. Lady as she winked at Shirou trying to flirt with him, making Michiru giggle slightly.

Shirou knew she was joking but still don't take well to flirting since he was still with someone else.

"Yeah, whatever." Said Shirou with a non caring look since he dosn't really like her at all to be honest.

Death Arms laughed as Mt. Lady was shocked, no man has ever dissed her flirting before.

"So are we good to go?" Asked Shirou as Death Arms tried to compose himself after laughing.

"Yeah just gotta bring Takeyama back to reality real quick." Said Death Arms as he snapped his fingers in front of Mt. Lady bringing her back to reality like she was in some sort of a trance.

"You good?" Asked Death Arms.

"Oh y-yeah sure sorry, I wasn't expecting that." Said Mt. Lady as she was rather embarrassed, she was the one to usually flirt.

But she was never expecting a man to ignore her flirts like that.

"You're fine, alright Michiru text me if you're going out and if so, take Kuro with you ok?" Asked Shirou just before he left the house with the Pro's.

"Got it, good luck Silver Wolf!" Yelled Michiru as she waved to Shirou as he looked back at her smiling, he smiled back as he caught the attention of the Pro's looking back at him.

"Silver Wolf?" Asked Death Arms in confusion.

"It's the hero name I picked." Replied Shirou.

"It suits you." Said Kamui Woods as he walked up with the group.

"Ready to get started Ogami?" Asked Kamui Woods.

"Let's get started." Replied Shirou.

After waiting for a week, Shirou had begun his first day as an official Pro-Hero.

It didn't feel much different to him though, he had done this kind of stuff for a living, but was glad he got back to work, protecting the innocents and keeping the peace.

A/N: Like i stated before, when it comes to Michiru and Shirou, the story sure does come fast.

I know what your probably thinking by now, i know this story is a lot like the one EMTAcademia wrote about it but just because the way their stories are similar, particularly the first few chapters doesn't mean anything, it's an inspiration of how he or she as it was never stated which since (they) did so much with their story so i wanted to write my own version of this crossover as well as W.I.T.C.H.
