Charlie and her friends were currently still in shock about the upcoming party. They watched as many demons bought their tickets and many walking by while discussing the party. Some even pointed out that they were shocked that the famous Angel Dust would be a part of that kind of party. They also showed excitement for all the things they were going to do to him.
Charlie was disgusted by the conversations but couldn't bring herself to say anything. Just then Vaggie asked, "hon, you ok?"
"No. All this is just awful. We can't let Val do this to Angel!" Charlie was very angry. So much so her demon eyes began to show.
"And we won't let him," Vaggie said trying her best to calm Charlie down.
Charlie took a deep breath and said, "you're right." She then looked at the tall building that was in front of them. "Let's go get Angel back."
Cherri snickered and said, "I've been waiting for this." She then took out an unlit bomb but before she could light it Vaggie stopped her.
"Are you crazy! Don't do that here. We can't let Val know we're here."
Cherri groaned, "Fine" then put her bomb away. With a sigh of relief from Vaggie, they began to walk in.
Meanwhile, Angel was relaxing as best as he could while also trying to hide his injuries. Somehow he was able to hide most of it with makeup except one area on his arm that bled. He could not hide it with makeup so he took bandages and wrapped it the best he could.
While he did that though he couldn't help but cringe at the thought of the party and everything he would have to put up with. He was dreading the event. He didn't want to go. He didn't want to serve the nasty clients anymore. All we wanted was to disappear. But he couldn't. If he was out of the picture his friends would suffer instead and he hated that thought even more
"DANG IT! He yelled at the top of his lungs.
"Angel." Said the eerie voice of his boss from behind his door. Val walked in and walked straight to Angel.
"Oh. Hey Val." Angel said doing his best to hide his discomfort with a smile.
Val saw the bandages on Angel's arm, "you will be ready for tomorrow? Right?"
Val asked this in this menacing voice that sounded more like a threat than a question.
"Yes, Val. I'm actually looking forward to it." Angel said, still trying to hide his disgust.
Val smiled, "good." He then reached over to Angel and cupped his face. He then slowly brought Angel closer to give him a kiss goodbye. Angel didn't put up a fight and just closed his eyes and hoped it would be fast but before Val could connect someone knocked on the door.
"Val there seems to be a situation?" Said the voice from the other side of the door.
Val groaned in annoyance. He let Angel go and walked to the door. He opened it with a very menacing, "What is it?"
Angel couldn't hear what was being said but he was able to take a brief sigh of relief. Maybe whatever was going on would distract Valentino to where he would leave him alone. After a few minutes of talking, Val gave a very calm command, "do whatever it takes to get rid of them." he then slammed the door and turned to Angel.
"Now where were we?" He asked walking over to Angel again.
Angel was nervous "So...Uh...what was that about?"
"Just some nuisances that need to be taken care of," Val said, continuing to get closer to Angel.
"R-really? Who would do that to you?" Angel tried to lean back farther away from Val but Val continued to get closer until finally, Val was leaning over Angel.
Val stared at him with his devilish smile. He began to chuckle evilly. "Just some princess, an annoying bomber, and a nobody."
Angel's eyes grew wide. He knew exactly who Val was talking about and the thought made his heart skip a beat. "Y-your kidding? Right?"
"Afraid not angel cakes. They trespassed onto my property and that can not be overlooked. They need to be punished." Val kept his evil grin.
Angel's stomach turned. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. "But...but you said if I went with you, you…"
Before Angel could finish, Val grabbed his mouth shut and growled, "They came onto my property to take what is mine and I can not allow that!" His grip was so hard that Angel began to cry. Val saw this and released him. Val went back to his calm demeanor and said, "Now just wait here until I get back." he then began to walk out but before he could even take a step Angel grabbed his coat.
"Please…" he pleaded. "Don't." tears were running down his face but this time Val didn't care. He kicked Angel as hard as he could causing Angel to choke and cough.
"You do not oppose me! You do what I tell you with no complaints!" Val was obviously angry but Angel was pretty much out of it by now. All the suffering he had experienced, the hurt he was feeling, and the sorrow, guilt, and regret he couldn't ignore anymore began to surface.
"Please…" Angel pleaded one more time with cloudy eyes.
Val had enough and looked Angel right in the eyes. Then in a calm but very grim voice said, "You know all this is happening because of you, so you should stop arguing." Val turned towards the door and left leaving Angel with a broken look on his face.
Angel knew this was his fault. He knew it was stupid to go against Val so why did he do it? Did he really believe he could get out of his situation? Did he really think he could change? Did he really think Val would let him go so easily? He wasn't sure but now it was too late to think about it. Now because of him, his friends would get hurt. Because of him everything Charlie and everyone else did for him would be in vain. Because of him, their afterlives would be ruined. And he knew was to blame.
Angel began to enter a deep spiral of depression, sadness, anguish, and anger. His emotions began to bubble over and eventually, he lost it. He sent out a loud heart wrecking yell as he lost himself and began to see red.
Author's note: Ok so these last few paragraphs were pretty hard to write. I had a really hard time getting my point across, so I hope it came out clear enough. Also, I am hoping to finish this story in the next 2 or 3 chapters.
