Chapter 6
Jamie Lannister
He was still surprised to believe what has transpired a week before. His uncle infiltrated the red keep and took Aerys captive. They also have princess Elia and her children. News came of Rhaegar's defeat and he was even surprised when his uncle informed that Rhaella's ship was intercepted by lord Farman and captured Viserys and the former queen as well as lyanna stark and the remaining kingsguard were captured by uncle Gerion's forces in Dorne.
His father informed him that his kingsguard days were over and he wilted under his father's gaze and agreed. He was called to a separate tent far way from the city and found his father and uncle along with aunt Genna waiting for him. They looked angry and a dozen guards waited outside the tent along with clegane and lorch.
"father, uncle , aunt genna" he greeted and saw then nod and point towards a chair. He sat and found it strange that everyone are tense. He wondered what they were discussing before he entered.
His father was silent for a while before looking at uncle kevan and asked "Jamie i will ask this question only once and I want you to answer honestly, your future and your sister's future depends on it". He was shocked his father was this serious after he won a great victory over Aerys but nodded his head.
"Did you and your sister commit the vile sin of Incest" his father painfully asked with disgust evident in his tone. His world shattered and his mind was filled with doubt and he panicked meanwhile his fathers leonine eyes observed him keenly.
"preposterous father, who told you these lies. I will gut the man who slandered my sweet sister's name" he rambled but his father grew even angrier.
"You did not answer me" his father thundered "did you join the kingsguard so that you can fornicate with your sister ?". Sweat filled his body and he was disoriented as he never saw his father this angry. His mind raced 'how did he find out ?' did some servant caught them in the act and went to his father.
"No father these are vile lies spread by our enemies who don't want to see Cersei as queen" he lied but knew his father did not believe it.
"You disappoint me boy. Your sister admitted her foolishness when I threatened to disown her and send her to the silent sisters" his father roared and his world felt apart. He panicked and his hand went to his sword.
His father glared daggers at him and he felt shame and guilt eat at him " I love cersei with all my heart, we belong together" was all he managed to say.
He did not see the slap coming and he fell backwards reeling from the blow "You are a disgrace to the lannister name. Get out of my sight" his father raged but he wanted to know more.
"What happens to cersei" he managed to ask without looking at his father. His uncle interrupted but in an equally angry voice said "she will be shipped off to Dorne to prince marry Oberyn Martell and you will return to Casterly Rock". He looked around to find even aunt genna angry and left the tent.
He never imagined this to happen. He and cersei belong together but now his father will have them both killed if they even see each other. He felt miserable and knew he cannot live without cersei but could not do anything. That is when he saw banners coming towards the capital.
Lord Stark had arrived in the capital. He smiled and thought 'let's see how the wolf fares against the lion'.
