"AHHHHHHHHH!!!!" The polar star members hear Ryoko yell all the way from the living room. At this point they were already accustomed to waking up because of someone screaming. All of them run to the living room to see the TV and think this is the stupidest thing Soma has done.

Sasaki Yua was announcing on the TV being surprised as they were "I-I repeat. A S-Shokugeki is going to happen! A Shokugeki is going to happen. It seems that none other than Autumn Election Finalist Yukihira S-Soma has challenged the N-Ninth Seat Eizan Etsuya! The Shokugeki will take place in a few days!"

"Th-That Idiot!!!" Hiskao yelled after seeing what she saw still in disbelief. She knew Soma was the one to be reckless but she didn't know he had the BALLS to go and challenge an Elite Ten member thinking he can beat them in a RIGGED match!

All the other polar star members were rambling about how stupid Soma was and what they should do. Meanwhile Erina was in the corner with tears in her eyes but also a determined face expressing that she had hope in Soma.

"I hope this plane will work, Soma-kun" she said in her head.

ZAQ - BRAVER

"So the theme is Satsuma Chicken eh?" Soma said while walking in a market. He was thinking of the right ingredients to get that will be perfect for the theme, but also bring a big impact to the taste buds of the judges. He also needed a enticing aroma as well, so that he can get the judges aroused as he presents his dish.

He needs to also prove to Central that not all dishes have to be perfect. He is thinking of making a diner style dish but this is serious. His dorm is on the line as well as Erina's hiding place. And if he loses this he is expelled.

"Am I really in a dead end?" He thought. "What is a good common dish suitable for this theme?"

He then saw a restaurant poster showing their specialty gyoza. He thinks of how there is filling inside dumplings all the time. A light bulb the appears atop his head.

"I got it! Now I just need the perfect wings!" Soma exclaimed startling some people around him.

"Finally all the ingredients I should need for some trial dishes. I can find some more tomorrow incase I have an idea on what more to put. I have a few days of testing after all" Soma mutters to no one in particular as he walks up to the Polar Star porch.

It has been a stressful day for him. All day thinking of the perfect ingredients and also basically shopping until the evening.

The moment he opens the door we receives a thwack in the head by Megumi.

"Soma-kun you idiot!!!!" Megumi yelled with tears in her eyes.

The others then started shouting insults at him while also hitting him repeatedly. Soma understands them though. The decision to challenge Eizan was a tough one.

"Guys Guys! Calm down! I have the perfect dish to arouse the judges! Why do you think I have been shopping all day?" Soma says while putting his hands up in surrender.

"THE MATCH IS FUCKING RIGGED YUKIHIRA DIDN'T YOU SEE?! THEY WON'T EVEN BOTHER TASTING YOUR DISH!" Yuki yelled in frustration.

"Would you rather have the dorm go down?" Soma asked seriously. He was never the one to use this tone often but the stakes were high in this one. Soma couldn't lose.

"W-well..." the other replied as they trailed off.

Soma sighed "Don't worry about me. I'm just doing what's best for all of us" He then walked to his room to start mixing spices and think of what should be in the filling.

"You better win Soma-kun" Megumi muttered.

Soma was walking down the hallway after hours of trial and error. The dish is going very well though. He decides to take a break after finding a suitable filling for his gyoza.

He sees Erina looking into the sky. He thinks she is just enjoying the breeze. But when he looks closer, he sees a worried expression on her face. Soma sighs and smiles, he was always there comfort his childhood princess.

He walks up and hugs her from behind while blushing because this was something he never did before. Not as much as Erina though. Erina's face becomes redder than a ripe tomato.

"S-S-Soma-kun! What is the meaning of this?!" She says while squirming in his arms. She had never seen this side of Soma. And to be honest, she liked being hugged from him from behind. Of course her tsundere side woukd never admit that though.

"What? Can I not comfort my worried princess?" Soma teases her.

"W-worried?! I'll have you know Nakiri Erina never gets worried" she says while pouting cutely.

Soma notices this and chuckles "Your pout is cuter than when we were kids Erina!" He then bursts into laughter and Erina is even more redder.

"C-Cute?!?!" She exclaims. No one ever called her cute before. She was always called pretty or beautiful, but not cute.

Soma the rests his chin on her shoulder. "How about we get some shuteye? Its 2:00 AM" he asks.

"I s-suppose we should. I have been sleeping really late after all" she mutters in response.

They walk into Soma's room and start snuggling under the covers.

They both realize their heart starts beating much faster and their face becomes more redder when they are around each other.

"A r-relationship with Soma-kun doesn't sound too bad... I guess I wouldn't mind dating him..." Erina says in her mind.

"Oh how it woukd be a dream dating Erina. I used to hate her back then but now... I think I like her" Soma thought.

"Maybe the author was right..." they both say in there head with a smile on their faces

"You know all this is useless right? I can't believe you still prepared a dish" Eizan stated mockingly as he sees Soma double checking his ingredients. He can't help but be curious after seeing Soma have a pot of which looks like has some sort of stock. He brushes it off though because it's his win anyway.

It's been a few days after Soma challenged Eizan and he tested his dish countless times.

Soma doesn't respond as he is fully concentrated. That is until a redheaded girl barges in the room.

"EIZEN HEYYYY!" Rindou yells after slamming the door open. Eizan then gets irritated and Soma got startled after suddenly hearing her shout.

"RINDOU WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE YOU BITCH?!" Eizan yells in annoyance. He clearly doesn't want to deal with Rindou's schemes right now.

"It's Rindou-senpai to you!" Rindou scolds while grabbing Eizan's neck.

"You can't just come barging in here!"

"Be civil!"

"Yo Yukihira Soma!" Rindou said casually acting like she didn't just choke Eizan.

"Hello Senpai It's been a while" He responds with a bit of seriousness because she joined Central.

"It's been awfully busy after Nakiri Azami became headmaster!"

A dark aura surrounds Soma as he hears Azami's name. God how he hates hit.

"I should get ready. The Shokugeki is in five minutes" he says walking out.

Eizan starts sweating after seeing the dark aura around him, but he is convinced that he will win. After all, there is no chance you can win a rigged match, right?

Eizan and Soma were sitting in their chairs ready for the signal to start.

Just like the previous Shokugeki, everybody was watching it. How can this transfer student win a match where the judges refuse to taste his dish?

Everyone at polar star was watching with a worried face. If Soma lost not only would the dorm be shut down, but he would be expelled.

Even the mostly expressionless Ryo who was at the Nakiri Mansion, was watching. He as well had a worried expression on his face, which was really rare.

"Contestants! Please head to your stations!" An announcer says.

Soma and Eizan get up from their seat and head to their counters.

"I trust you two know the stakes of this Shokugeki. So without further ado, let the Shokugeki begin!!!"
