I don't own Highschool DxD. Currently having a lot of fun with this mess of a story
'Why is it cold? This kind of weather is unheard of in Kuoh' Blake thought in meditation. When he tried to bring himself out of meditation he realized he couldn't. Alarmed he opened his eyes and he suddenly found himself outside the cave he starved in. The cold didn't bother him anymore, but he couldn't help being wary.
'This has never happened when I meditated before' He then stepped into the large cave only to see something horrible. It was him, but as an emaciated corpse with blue eyes. It was sitting on a throne on top of skulls.
"What is this, where am I!?" Blake yelled
'You've forgotten what you are, your true nature.' His true form said in a deep baritone.
"I'm not like you anymore." Blake denied.
'You have no idea of the power you wield.'
The corpse stood up and walked closer.
'The others see you as a walking landmine.'
'Is that true?' The words Sirzechs said to him came back to the front of his mind.
'Rias is using you, fool'
"..."
"You think she cares for you? Hah! She cares for your power, our power."
"I don't believe you, she's the only one who cared for me when I came to this world."
"All she had to do was show a little kindness and you fell for it."
"..."
"Your memories are our memories. You think you could beat people like Riser or even monsters like Sirzechs as you are?"
"..."
"You know nothing of our powers, our race!"
Blake couldn't look the figure in the eyes anymore.
'He's probably right.'
"I am… You'll see, that, I promise you."
Blake could say nothing in the face of this being. He then felt his eyes forcibly open and he tried to calm his beating heart.
'What was that?' Blake said out loud, panicking.
He looked outside and saw the full moon and he let out a large sigh of relief
Rias then came through the door with a twinkle in her eye.
"We have a new family member!"
'Which means that canon has officially started' One thing though.
'Didn't Rias sleep with Issei to heal him…'
"Really? Who?" Blake asked, already knowing the answer.
Before he could blink she started taking her clothes off, causing Blake to immediately close his eyes.
She then walked up to the bed and lied down beside him underneath the blanket.
"Issei Hyoudou, he was in a little bit of trouble, so I had Akeno patch him up." Rias said, still smiling.
'That's different…' Blake thought.
Rias then said
"He's a little rough around the edges, but I have a feeling he'll fit right in."
Blake could only nod his head as he looked up at the ceiling.
'I need to reevaluate my feelings for the others'
'If she is using me…'
The vision of the wendigo version of himself on the throne causes him to flinch.
Rias must have quickly said
"Are you okay?"
"Just a bad memory"
She didn't look convinced but she snaked her arms around him and laid her head on his chest.
After a few moments she fell asleep, and Blake started to meditate. This time, with no visions
'Tomorrow, school starts…'
Blake's eyes immediately opened when he heard the alarm clock go off. He then felt Rias stir. He then got out of bed and took a look out the window.
'Man, school sucks no matter what world you're in.' What made it worse was that he was going to school at a formally all girls school. To anyone else it would seem like a paradise. But to him it's nothing more than a drag.
He then got dressed and saw that Rias was just watching him.
"Shouldn't you be getting dressed?" That seemed to snap her out of it.
'Am I really that much eye candy?'
The uniform fit perfectly and was a lot more comfortable than what it looks like. As he straightened his tie he saw that Rias was ready. As they went to the kitchen Blake noticed two bentos wrapped carefully.
"Where did these come from?"
"I made them last night." She looked embarrassed. She also looked at me expectantly.
"Thank you, Rias." I say seriously. She smiled and then they made their way to the front of the building and saw a car waiting for them.
"Are you nervous? It's your first day after all." Rias asked in the car.
"I guess, I'm more annoyed that I have to go to school."
"It's important to be able to form connections with your peers. It can be very valuable" Rias said, trying to cheer him up.
Blake nodded his head.
The car stopped.
"Guess this is it." Blake muttered.
The school was a lot bigger than what it looked like in the anime.
Rias then walked with him to the entrance to the second year building. As they walked Blake couldn't help but hear whispers.
'He must be the exchange student~'
'He's walking with one of the Onee-sama's~'
'Hes another prince!'
'Damn handsome!'
Blake tried not to laugh at that last one.
"This is the second year building, Sona's sending someone to help you out. Bye~"
With that Rias turned away and left, leaving Blake alone. After making his way inside his nose picked up the scent of a devil, close by.
'Must be Sona's Henchman'
He made his way over to a girl around his age.
'Tsubaki, I think.'
"You must be Yuki-san." The girl said, greeting him.
Blake nods his head and she introduces herself as Tsubaki Shinra.
She then takes him on a tour of the building and finally stops in front of a door.
"This is your class, please remember it."
Blake nods his head and steps into the classroom.
Silence and everyone was staring at him.
'This is painful'
The teacher then coughs and says
"This is Yuki Blake. Yuki-San, please introduce yourself."
"My name is Yuki Blake, let's get along" Blake says, as politely as he could.
"Indeed. Please, take a seat by Hyoudou-san"
Said person curses silently.
"Hey!" Blake says as he looks at the main character in the anime.
"You are so damn handsome it hurts."
Issei says with tears.
Blake managed to cough instead of laughing.
Blake glanced at him as class continued.
'This is the main character of the ecchi anime? He's so… normal.'
School continued uneventfully until lunch.
Blake found his way to the top of the school.
Sitting there eating silently was Koneko.
As he approached Koneko turned to look at him blankly.
"Hi senpai."
Blake nods his head, greeting her, before sitting down beside her. They eat in silence as Blake tries to fill himself up. His stomach growled as he finished his bento.
Koneko must have heard it because she offered him a piece of chocolate.
"Thank you!" Blake said politely, knowing that he'd have to eat a lot more to fill himself up.
'Hopefully the club is stocked with food.'
The school days end as Kiba walks into the classroom, causing many whispers.
"Issei-san, Yuki-san, Buchou wants us to meet together"
Issei looks at Blake with surprise.
"Why does this bastard get to come!?"
"Because I'm part of the club too, dork"
Issei looks shocked but doesn't say anything as Kiba leads us to the old school building.
We entered and went up the stairs
Rias greeted us at the door as we went inside.
"Everyone, this is Issei, he is our new pawn." Rias said happily as she sat in her chair in the middle of the room.
Blake quickly raided the kitchen and came back with lots of snacks.
"So all of that was real?" Issei asks, not quite believing it.
"We are all devils, Issei." As she said that everyone's wings came out, including Blake's and Issei's.
'Forgot this was part of the deal.' Blake thinks to himself as he filled himself up.
"Ehhh?" Issei says, still thinking its fake.
"Do you have a dream, Issei?" Rias asks after a second.
Issei's eyes light up as he says proudly
"I want to be a Harem King."
Kiba sweat dropped and Akeno giggled
"Pervert" Koneko says, cutting straight into Issei.
"Anything is possible, now that you're a devil." Rias says, pretty amused.
"As a devil you have certain responsibilities."
Rias says as she glances at me as well.
"One of them is to form contracts, this allows the king, me, to gain prestige and reputation, and gives the person who has completed it money."
"Tonight we will be doing something different…" Rias says seriously.
"We are going to hunt a stray devil, this will give you two experiences, and prepare you for future battles."
"Buchou, what's a stray devil?"
"A devil who rebelled against their master. Their bodies can no longer regulate the demonic energy, morphing them into monsters."
"Let's not waste any more time." The group then goes through the circle, shocking Issei.
They arrive at an abandoned warehouse. It was dark all around them, only the light that came from the windows shined throughout the building.
"Where is it?" Issei asks, scared.
Blake flares his nose and points to the ceiling
The large figure drops from the ceiling, landing in front of them.
"Ehhh? The meal came to me this time." The creature had the upper body of a woman and the lower body of a lion. She then started to fondle her breasts.
"Oppai!" Issei let out with a gleam in his eye.
The creature lunged at Isse, but was hit by Koneko, launching her to the other side of the building while Issei looked at her with awe.
"Koneko is a Rook, giving her superhuman strength."
Kiba then launched himself at the creature, with swords in his hands. He was as fast as a bullet.
"Kiba is a Knight, giving him super human speed and finesse."
The creature gets back up, missing a leg and starts to lunge at Blake before she stops dead in her tracks, with an icicle in her skull.
"You've gotten faster at casting, Blake, I could hardly see you." Rias said with a smile.
Akeno pouted
"Yuki-kouhai didn't let me show off."
Issei looks at Blake with awe.
"Isn't he new as well?" He asked.
"Yes he is particularly talented with ice magic, he is also the Bishop, gifted with superior magic power" Rias added
"Eh? Then what am I?"
"A pawn." Issei looked incredibly disappointed.
Akeno looked at him and let out a giggle before saying.
"You have the potential to become any one of them as a pawn, so cheer up!" Issei looked up with a smile.
They then all teleport to the ORC building.p
"One last thing, we need to figure out what kind of sacred gear you have." Rias said
"What's a sacred gear?" Issei asked.
"Powers given to humans by the one above."
"You mean God?" Issei says, inducing everyone with a headache.
"Even saying his name is dangerous to a devil, so be careful… But yes."
"How do I figure out which one I have?"
"Think of the strongest thing you can think of and shout it out"
Issei then tried to let out a kamehameha wave, causing Blake to laugh. But it worked
Issei now has a simple red gauntlet on.
'Its in its twice critical form, just like in the anime' Rias looked disappointed but quickly said.
"Looks like it's a twice critical, good job Issei!"
"What does it do?" Issei asked, excited.
"It doubles your power, briefly." Rias added.
Rias then yawns before saying.
"Tomorrow we're off from school, so let's all meet up and do contracts."
They then all went home and the day ended with Blake thinking about future events.
"Tommorow, Freed is supposed to attack Issei. After we deal with Asia, Riser will come… I need to be ready." He then went into his meditative state again, with Rias next to him.
Blake will continue to have these visions of his true self. Thanks for reading
