wednesday, 3:00
"okay okay i got here as soon as i could! what's the emergency?" quinn rushed into kurt's bedroom. "i can't pick an outfit," he pouted. "you said it was an emergency, kurt. not having an outfit is not an emergency i should have to leave work for!!" kurt sighed, "i know, i know. you're just the only person who can help me." quinn looked at him, she let out a long sigh, "what do you have? kurt gestured to the bed that was overcome with clothes. quinn rolled her eyes fondly, "okay let's see..." she inspected the clothes that we laid on the bed and quickly snatched some up, creating an outfit. "here. does this pass your inspection?" it was kurt's turn to roll his eyes, "looks good to me." he smiled, "thanks q." she returned his smile, "anytime. now go get ready or you'll miss your date!" kurt chuckled softly, "see you later kurt!" and with that, she left kurt, alone again.
it quickly came around to 3:30, blaine left the building of his office and checked his watch, i'm gonna be late! he thought. quickly, he rushed to his car, shoving the key into the ignition and racing down to the coffee shop. he knew that he couldn't text kurt to let him know he was gonna be late, and santana broke his hands-free last time she used his car to come back from a party.
kurt stood outside the coffee shop, he'd texted blaine a couple of times but he'd had no response.
to blaine: hey blaine, it's kurt. just wondering when you're gonna get here
to blaine: look if you wanted to stand me up you've done a pretty good job of it.
to blaine: blaine???
blaine didn't seem to be the type to stand someone up to kurt. every single part of him wanted to leave, go home and cry into his couch with a tub of ice cream, but a greater instinct told him to stay. kurt didn't know why but he thought it was better to trust that instinct- i mean, the ice cream would still be there after he gave the other man some more time.
tw/ injuries, crash, stroke
skrrrrt! crash! the world began to spin, blaine couldn't concentrate. he could see red, dripping from his hands, from his head. he tried to look around but his neck hurt too much to move. he attempted to reach over to his phone, i have to tell kurt. was his only thought, he needed to tell him that he was sorry. his world was blurry.
the cars had collided into each other, kurt had witnessed the whole thing from a distance. he knew he had to go over to see if they were okay. he quickly dialled 911 into his phone "hi, there's been a car crash. we need an ambulance. yes, just outside the lima bean. thank you." he hung up and rushed over to the car he was closest to. "are you okay?"
blaine recognised the voice, he flicked his eyes up to see the face in the window, "...kurt...?" he asked weakly. the man looked taken aback, "blaine!? oh my god-" tears began to well up in his eyes, "it's gonna be okay blaine, the ambulance is on its way, you're gonna get taken to the hospital and they're gonna fix you up." kurt's words were soft, he was attempting to reassure the injured man, but mainly himself. "kurt i'm sorry, the meeting ran late and-" blaine paused, he couldn't think of what to say- it was like his words had been taken from him. he could no longer think, it felt like a fire spreading in his brain. his body felt limp and his face fell onto one side. kurt knew what was happening, "blaine i need you to keep talking to me. the ambulance is coming, blaine please stay with me." he tried to hold him, "blaine can you raise your arms please?" blaine tried to do as instructed, one of his arms were drifting downwards. kurt tugged on the car door, he had to get him out. it came of with a rip. "nooo kurt you can't destroy my uhhh my-" blaine slurred his words out, struggling to find the right one. "we're gonna get you out of here okay?" kurt gently picked the smaller man up out of the car. "keep talking to me blaine, tell me everything on your mind." blaine smiled sloppily at him, "your eyes are pretty and your hair is- well it's-" he was making gestures with his hands. the sirens were getting louder and an ambulance pulled up beside the men. "thank you, we'll take him from here." blaine was pulled onto a stretcher, "is there any chance i could come too? he's my- b-b- friend-" kurt stammered. the paramedic nodded and kurt was sat in the back of the ambulance. he tried to stay strong, little did he feel the tear slipping down his face. you can do this blaine. don't give up.
