Thirty wonderful blissful years. Has it really been that long? It feels like just yesterday that Fox and I were married and on our honeymoon across the system. I can't help but smile as I lay on a couch that feels all too familiar, with an equally familiar vixen who sat off to my side with a notepad and pen. We've talked a lot. Seras and I, it's been about a year since I started therapy at both Fox and Falyf's recommendations. Our aging process has left us all in a… strange position.

Fox most of all.

"So, how is everything going since we last talked?" Seras asks with genuine interest. She's honest, sweet, and actually very caring. For one so young she has empathy in amounts that rivaled mine. It makes sense, being a Papetoonian and the shared connection that is slowly becoming public knowledge between them and Cerinians.

"It's still hard to deal with," I say in reply as I stare at the ceiling; "Watching all our friends whom we've shared in so much pain and suffering with. All the love and good times as well. All of them growing old and fading away. It's… not easy."

"How's Falco and Katt doing?" There's a pang in my chest, two of our best friends were on their last legs. Falco was older than Fox by a few years and Katt wasn't far behind. Time had been good to them, but they didn't have what we did.

"I don't think they'll make it to the end of the year, both of them have lived such fast paced lives rife with danger and they didn't exactly take the best care of themselves." The drinking and partying they did after each successful war and mission had most certainly taken its toll. Coupled with them being incompatible as a species but loving each other. Even adoption couldn't seal that rift. But they stuck it out and I was proud of them for doing that.

"Have you all prepared yourself for that? I know when Peppy left this world it hit your family hard."

That old rabbit, a great man. A loving god-father to Marcus and Adarrah to the day he died. I still remember Fox and Peppy taking both of them for their first time up in an Arwing and showing them the ropes. A smile crosses my face at the thought and my tail sways.

"Yes, especially after Slippy and Amanda. I knew Amphibians were shorter lived than Mammals, but I just had no idea. The sense of time is so different when you evolve as a mono species."

Seras nods her head as she writes down some notes; "Indeed, many of us in Lylat are so used to it, we never realized it until we had another base line to go off of."

I can't help but giggle, "At the very least the Toad family line is well secured!" They had quite an extensive family and then some. My amusement is joined by Seras' own whimsical voice.

"Indeed, Amphibians are quite prolific, a hold over from their early days when survival wasn't always guaranteed."

"How's Falyf and Fox doing?"

I turn my head to look at her with curiosity; "Why do you ask?"

"Well, it's my job for starters. But you three are one of the few successful true polyamorous relationships I've ever seen. So, it's a case study by its very nature!"

I blush deeply and squirm lightly on the couch, "Well, they're both doing fine. It was rocky at first for a while until Falyf and Fox settled around each other."

"Territory issues? I know how my kin can get."

I shake my head; "No, traditionalism. Fox is very traditional as am I, and by no means is what we share traditional. But we owe a lot to Falyf. The old colony was still struggling when we found it. They did not have the means to support a crack mercenary team."

Seras writes these words down as she listens carefully; "Go on,"

"So Fox would have to leave six months or more at a time to go do jobs to support the team as well as bring back materials and things we needed to ensure the colony survived. Sometimes I stayed, but most of the time I went with Fox. But the times I stayed, Falyf and I grew closer each time."

Seras could see the writing on that particular wall. Not everyone knew the story of just how things worked out between us, or all the little details… we kept those secret for very good reasons.

"I see… did you cheat?"

"No!" I say in horror at the very notion, "Absolutely not!"

"Then why did you fight?"

"Like I said, traditions. Papetoonians are very monogamous and it's seen as a point of pride. Fox also likes to emulate his father a bit much at times, and so he saw me even wanting to bring in a third as breach of that tradition."

Seras nodded her head, having to remain impartial but I could see in her mind she understood Fox's point of view, and I can't fault her for it.

"But, you've been happily married for several decades now, so things obviously worked out."

I nod my head emphatically; "Oh yes, once the colony was better secure in it's position, Fox didn't need to go out as much. So he stayed around, became immersed among Cerinians, learning the language, the culture… he took to it like he'd always been there and among us. He and Falyf hit it off after some chafing," I snicker.

"Chafing?"

"They're both individuals of strong will and people of merit, power, and influence."

"Ohhhh, ego," Seras giggles.

"Mhmm, don't let anyone ever tell you that women don't have an ego. We most certainly do! We're just more subtle about flexing it," I say with no small amount of mirth.

"I see, and so the two of them were butting heads before things settled?"

"Mhmm, more trying to figure out where they stood with the other until things just kinda fell into place."

"I see, so all three of you-"

"Love each other very much, both Marcus and Adarrah are proof of that."

Seras smiles and nods at the mention of our two children. Marcus came from me and is a few years older than his younger sister, Adarrah who descends from Falyf's side of the family.

"It hasn't been easy, at all. But we make it work and it's worth it beyond measure," I say with such sureness that it even takes Seras by surprise.

"I assume telepathy certainly helps. Seeing as how such relationships on Corneria rarely end as happily."

"It does to a point," I reply, "But verbal and physical communication is still very important, especially since Fox isn't a strong telepath like myself or Falyf."

"True! So it was doubly important that you take him into account."

"Mhmm," I say in agreement, "Falyf did not want to come between us, nor did she want Fox to feel as though she was the one in charge… even if at times that is true." I say with a hint of innuendo, playfully winking at Seras who shimmies her hips a bit at the thought.

"Did it just get warm in here?" Seras jokes.

"Lil' bit." I reply before smiling at the blonde haired vixen warmly, "The new colony is doing well, the one on Papetoon and some are talking about starting one on Sauria now that our population is on the rise, though Falyf is opposed to that, mostly because of the Krazoa."

There had been some friction among more traditional Krazoa faithful and the more modern "New" Cerinians who saw the Krazoa as little more than would be gods who had failed them. I was caught somewhere in the middle on that issue, but it was an ongoing debate that thankfully did not seem to be ready to turn violent at all.

"Considering some of the stories I hear, that doesn't surprise me." Her eyes turn up at the clock and she grumps, "Well damn… that time went by fast, didn't it?" She says with a sigh.

"Indeed it did, Seras. But if you like, we could continue our conversation at the McCloud home here on the outskirts." I offer with a smile, knowing full well how much of a fan she is of Fox, myself, and the others.

Her eyes pop open like a child on Winter Solstice morning who got exactly what she asked for.
"T-that would be-"

"Unprofessional? Please. Me throwing the donations I have at your practice is unprofessional! Especially since you're my therapist, Seras. We're well beyond professionalism at this point." I giggle with a tender smile, "Besides, Falyf, Marcus, and Adarrah have been dying to meet you since I speak so highly of you."

She really had no idea how much she meant to the family, that she was able to help me cope with the loss of friends and loved ones, not to mention the whole aging slower than others bit.

"And Fox?"

I can't help but snicker, "I caught his thoughts on you a bit, and he finds you rather… fetching."

Poor girl about gets a nose bleed at the mere idea that someone who is the epitome of what Cornerian's call a DILF, finds her the least bit attractive. And Fox has aged gracefully, especially with the Cerinian genetics that we found out are running through his veins. Couple it with his active and healthy lifestyle, he's got a half century or more left in him yet. And gods does he still make love like it too.

"I… uhhh." Seras stammers, unsure of how to respond.

"Oh come now, you didn't think we didn't spice things up a little bit in the bedroom, did you? I mean not frequently." Gods, if I tell her about Rell and Fox, she'll pop a blood vessel. I'm half tempted to bring that bit up, but it's best to leave some things as a surprise.

"I mean, maybe? I just didn't think you know... I even registered," I laugh and shake my head at that while sitting up.

"Really?! Luv, you're a bombshell, the fact you don't have men or women hanging off of you is a travesty!" She's a working woman of course. Spends all her time and energy furthering her career and craft; "Come on, my treat. You'll have a wonderful time, I promise."

Seras looks at me hesitantly before blushing a deep red beneath her blonde fur, "O-okay, fine! But go easy on me… I've never been around so many telepaths, let alone one of the most powerful families in all of Lylat!"

"Don't worry, we only bite if you want us to~." I purr salaciously before descending into a fit of laughter at Sera's dish plate eyes. The poor girl is so innocent at times, and I adore her. I know she has no more appointments for today, so she has no excuse. I stand up, adjust my knee length dress with a sigh and gasp as the newest addition to our little family kicks within the safety of my womb.

"Seems this one agrees with me too!" I say, running my fingers over the swell in my belly. Damned sexy Fox and what he does to me.

"You're a devil," Seras huffs gently before standing herself and begins to put her things away, "And an Angel from all accounts."

"I'm neither, I'm just me, Seras. And I couldn't be happier."

And that's all folks! I should have noted in the other chapters, Falyf was and is used with Undying Nephalims permission.
