Heather watched as Bakugo threw the ball, an explosion behind it. She stood in awe as it disappeared.

" 705.2 meters," Aizawa spoke.

She nodded, switching places with Bakugo. She was nervous she wouldn't do well, she hadn't actively trained her quirk in years.

Feeling ice running up her arm she sighed, tossing the ball. She watched as it landed, feeling disappointed.

" 50 meters," Aizawa called.

Heather walked back to where everyone stood, trying to stay as far away from Shoto as she could. She could feel his gaze on her, making her want to leave.

Instead, she watched the remaining students do the ball toss. They were easily able to pass her score, making her feel worse.

" Next up is the fifty-meter dash. Ida and Heather are up first," Aizawa explained.

Heather nodded, getting into position. She knew Ida would be faster than her, his quirk had to do with speed after all, but she still wanted to do well.

The second she got the go-ahead Heather raced forward, ice blasting behind her. Ida finished at 3.04, while she finished at 3.15.

" That was very good, you are a formidable opponent," Ida exclaimed.

" T-Thank you, y-you are t-too," Heather replied, shivering.

She noticed ice climbing up her arms, slowly spreading to her torso. Ida seemed to notice as well because he looked concerned.

" Are you going to be okay? You're frozen," Ida questioned.

" I-I'll be f-fine, thank y-you Ida," Heather replied.

She walked back to her spot, noticing multiple students looking at her with concern. She knew she must look bad. She would've thought so too, had she not been trained by her father.

" Heather go see Recovery Girl, I've already seen everything I need to," Aizawa spoke.

" Are y-you sure? I-I c-can-" Heather started.

" I'm sure. Go before you get permanent nerve damage,"

Heather sighed, walking to Recovery Girl's office. The look on her face was the same as all the other nurses, pity.

" Oh dear, Aizawa's even working his student aid. Come lie down, dear," Recovery Girl spoke.

Heather listened, feeling a heater melting the ice off of her arms. They were numb, but it wasn't anything she wasn't used to.

She felt awkward when Recovery Girl used her healing kiss, but she quickly felt exhausted instead. She couldn't stop her eyes from closing, passing out.

Aizawa's POV-

Aizawa walked into Recovery Girl's office, checking in on Heather. He was surprised to find so many heaters facing her.

" What's with all this?" Aizawa questioned.

" The poor girl, her quirk is freezing her. I've healed her frostbite but her body still needs to come back to temperature," Recovery Girl explained.

" So she shouldn't be using her quirk,"

" That's not all. She has severe nerve damage and it looks like someone destroyed the skin on her left arm, most likely with a quirk,"

Aizawa took a moment to process the information, looking at Heather. Without the sweater, it was obvious she had been pushed past her limit multiple times. Her arms were practically blue and her left arm looked like patchwork.

Her brows furrowed in her sleep, something bothering her. He didn't know what Heather had gone through, but he was pissed it even happened.

It may seem like he didn't care about anyone, but he didn't know how to outwardly express his feelings.

Heather's POV-

" Dad please, I can't do this anymore," Heather sobbed.

" You should be able to push past your limits! You're useless, just like your siblings!" Enji roared.

Heather felt tears coming to her eyes. She collapsed to the ground, exhausted from training. Enji walked around her, leaving her there. Sobs racked her body, but the tears froze before they could ever fall.

She looked up to see Touya staring at her. He pulled her into a hug, slowly letting his body warm-up.

" It's okay, I've got you," Touya spoke.

They were interrupted by their mother, who had come in to check upon them. She pulled them into a hug, sobbing.

" I'm sorry kids. You shouldn't have to go through this, I'm so sorry,"

Heather wished their mother would do something. She always helped them afterward, but she never tried to stop their father.

She just wanted someone, anyone, to come and save them. What good were heroes if they didn't notice the little troubles?

Heather sat up quickly, her breathing ragged. She hadn't thought of her mother in years, trying to forget her once she got sent away.

" Oh, you're awake dear. You should be fine to go home now, just take it easy," Recovery Girl spoke.

Heather nodded, trying not to flinch at the word home. Everywhere she went, she was reminded she didn't have one.

Heather sighed in relief as she walked out of UA. She noticed Shoto waiting at the gate, looking at her. She huffed, walking over to him.

" Why'd you leave?" Shoto questioned.

" You know how Enji is, I got sick of how he treated me. My body can't handle my quirk, in his eyes I'm a failure," Heather explained.

" Come home, Natsuo and Fuyumi miss you,"

She felt her heart shatter at her sibling's names. She hadn't seen them since Touya died, she didn't want to step near that house again. She wanted to forget her family, but they were stubborn as always.

" I-I can't, but I'll be sure to visit soon," Heather spoke, choking back tears.

" I won't count on it," Shoto replied coldly.

He walked off without another word. Heather did the same, heading back towards the bar.
