NOTE: This one takes place between chapters three and four.

Interlude 2: Fame

Rekka Tatsunagi twists and turns in various poses for various of the customers as they take pictures of her. The twin drilled girl never loses her cute smile or showing any signs of exhaustion from the many patrons' voices or requests. Emi looked at her friend with awe and respect.

"I still can't believe how amazing Rekka is. Her ability to stay composed with that many people is really cool. I'm not sure if I'd be able to handle it," Emi chuckled. Misaki smiled at Emi's sparkling eyes.

"Your brother had to deal with people coming up to him all the time with fight requests or how to teach them how to play. He was nervous about it at the start, but eventually he got used to it. He loved playing with all the kids who came here," Misaki explained to the heroine. Emi wondered if she could become like that if she saves the world. Though she dismisses the idea, since nobody is really supposed to know about the threat she'll have to face.

"Would Emi Sendou please make her way to the fighting area for the first round!" Shin announced on his small mic.

"Oh! Right, I better not waste time! Wish me luck," Emi walked over to the table at the back of the shop. As she sat down in front of her opponent, she realized everyone in the store was staring at her. Nervously, she waved at everybody. This caused everyone to break into quiet chatter, confusing the poor girl even further. Then, a lone little girl walked over to Emi. "Your name is Sendou, right?" She asked.

"Uh...yeah, I'm Emi Sendou," Emi answered.

"A-are you related to Aichi Sendou?" The girl asked once more.

"Y-yes? He's my older brother," Emi replied, a bit hesitant. This made the patrons break into loud chatter as excitement raced across the whole store. Emi blinked rapidly at the things she was hearing.

"No wonder she's wearing the same jacket he had during Nationals."

"I thought she was just some obsessed fan."

"She's really pretty, I wonder if she has a boyfriend?"

"Or maybe a girlfriend?"

"She does seem really close to Rekka Tatsunagi. Do you think they're dating?"

Getting out of her seat immediately, Emi's face bright red with embarrassment as she heard three recognizable voices laughing at her predicament. "No! Rekka and I are not dating! I don't have a boyfriend! Nor am I an obsessed fan of my brother!" Emi could've sworn she heard Rekka cough a bit too loudly at the last part, but she chose to deal with that later.

"But, Emi don't you have a crush on Kamui Katsuragi of Team Q4," Rekka grinned, maliciously at Emi's stunned face. The heroine's face is brighter than ever before at the words Rekka just released. And Emi was sure that if Kamui was even around he'd pass out from embarrassment and joy.

"REKKA!"

Misaki, Rekka, and Shin laughed as Emi was swarmed by the patrons immediately. The heroine's face kept growing into new shades of red at every question thrown at her and every attempt she made to answer them. This would go one for 10 more minutes before Misaki decided that Emi was suffering enough and they needed to get the tournament started.

After defeating her first opponent, Emi walked outside to take a break from everyone else. Rekka followed her friend outside with a shit eating grin plastered onto her face. "Hey Emi~"

Emi didn't answer, she turned her head away with a pout. Rekka didn't waste any time in placing her hands onto Emi's sides and tickling her madly. Emi laughed hysterically at the tickling and fell into Rekka's arms, breathing heavily.

"I'm still angry at you for earlier," Emi said.

"I'm sorry for earlier, it was too good of an opportunity," Emi's pouting just made Rekka laugh harder. Her laughter stopped when she felt her phone buzz with notifications. Checking her social media she found something that made her sweatdrop entirely.

"E-Emi...you might want to look at this," Rekka showed Emi her phone. The heroine's entire face paled at what she was reading.

YOUNGER SISTER OF AICHI SENDOU IN LOVE WITH KAMUI KATSURAGI!

REKKA TATSUNAGI AND EMI SENDOU SEEN HOLDING EACH OTHER IN THEIR ARMS!

IS THERE A LOVE TRIANGLE GOING ON!?

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
