The next few days were hard, with how the Slavers and other slaves would push her and mock the 'Little Jedi'. But Jango never did. He would always tell off or fight the other prisoners, and call out the Slavers in her defense. They worked well together, and when there were high places that were needed to be mined or tested she was sent. But Jango was always there to catch her if she fell. And with how often others would cut the ropes, it was a force send to have him there.
Every night she would fall asleep in his arms, secure in the knowledge that no matter what happened Jango had her back.
Geonosis, that's where the Council wanted her to go after they were told about the Clones. They had intel that Dooku was at or near that planet and El was glad to have something to do while the Council debated endlessly. And something to focus on rather than seeing Jango again after all these years.
Gently touching the band of her necklace she sighed. He had given it to her in the mines to celebrate her fourteenth life day. She had never asked how he had gotten the materials for it, and was grateful to her friend.
Jedi were permitted friends, and an occasional lover as long as there was no real attachment involved. How others could remain distant after such intimacy El could never understand. Master had said she was too much like the old Jedi for her own good and had used even stricter rules in an attempt to get it out of her.
An alert came onto her screen, Geonosis was approaching. Time to pull out of the past and into the present. So she focused on dodging the meteors and her own landing sequence.
