U.A's Saiyan Heroes-6
"So what do you think we should do first when we get to Disney World?" Mina questioned, walking alongside Kaen.
"We've got a couple months to think of that before we actually go." Kaen said.
"Still, I think it would be great to build up an itinerary for the trip." Mina said.
"We're not planning out a trip to Kyoto. Relax, it'll all work out." He chuckled.
"If you say so." Mina said, before a violet blush crossed her face. "Kaen, I have a question to ask you."
"What is it Mina?" Kaen questioned, raising a brow at her blush.
"Um... what sort of things are you into?" Mina asked.
"Huh? You mean what do I like? Well, I like music, martial arts, art and..."
"No, not that kind of like." Mina said, the blush deepening. "What are you INTO? Sexually I mean."
"Y-you mean my fetish?" Kaen questioned, his face going red.
"Y-yeah, that's what I'm asking." Mina said.
"Whoa, hold on a second where is this coming from?" Kaen asked.
"Well, we're gonna be on our own for two whole weeks in Florida during summer break, and I thought, maybe by then we'd be ready to take things, to the next level." Mina said, her entire face turning purple.
"I see." Kaen said, his face still red. "Give me some time to process this, yeah?"
"Sounds good." Mina exclaimed.
"Let's get to class before we're late."
~Afternoon~
"I... AM... HERE..." All Might's voice echoed from outside the classroom door, before it opened and he popped in, doing a goofy pose with his cape billowing. "Coming through the door like a hero."
'C'mon dad.' Kaen sighed. 'Where's the wind coming from?'
"Psst, you done with me big guy?" Present Mic's voice whispered from outside the door.
"Yes thank you my friend." All Might said with a smile and a thumbs up before he came walking in.
'So that's where it came from.' Kaen thought.
"I can't believe it's really All Might." The student with the blonde hair and black lightning bolt in the bangs, said.
"So he is a teacher. This year is gonna be totally awesome." Kirishima said.
"Hey look, is he wearing his Silver Age costume?" The girl besides him, Tsuyu Asui, questioned, noticing his costume.
"I'm getting goosebumps, it's so retro." The guy sitting behind Kaen said.
"Welcome, to the most important class at U.A High." All Might declared. "Think of it as heroing 101. Here you will learn the basics of being a pro, and what it means to fight in the name of good. Let's get into it." He cheered, striking another pose. "Today's lesson, will pull no punches."
"Fight training." Katsumi cheered.
"Real combat?" Izumi questioned.
"But one of the keys of being a hero is... looking good." All Might said, before segments of the wall began coming out, and showing briefcases with their seat numbers on them. "These were designed for you, based on your Quirk Registration Forms, and the requests you sent in before school started."
"Costumes." Izumi said with a smile.
"Get yourselves suited up, and then meet me at Training Ground Beta." All Might stated.
Kaen smiled as he reached for his bag, and pulled put a case that could easily fit in it, looking over at Mina who was doing the same, he gave a smile, remembering how they had gotten their costumes earlier than the other students.
~Flashback 3 Weeks Prior~
"So, this is the design for your hero costume?" Kaen asked, looking over Mina' designs.
"Yep, I wanted to get your input on them though, since you know more about this kinda stuff, and give your input on what works."
"Well Darling I can tell you right off the bat, that the color scheme is gorgeous and suits you greatly." Kaen said, doing his best Edna impression from the Incredibles, making Mina laugh.
"But I must say that while your costume may be flashy, the design has some flaws."
"Like, like what?" Mina questioned, calming down from her laughter.
"Well, for one your suit does cover quite a bit, and that's good, but it can also constrict your movements, and make maneuvering difficult with fast movements, and combat situations." Kaen explained, using his normal voice. "While I see how the boots can help you with using your Quirk through the souls, they're too big, and will probably weigh you down. The only time you wanna wear weighted clothing is when training your strength and endurance."
"Okay. But what about the rest?" Mina inquired.
"The pants cover you yes, but they can also..."
Kaen stopped when his phone began ringing. Looking at the caller ID, Kaen got up from the table.
"Sorry Mina, I have to take this. Family thing." Kaen said, before heading out and answering the phone. "Uncle David, how's it going?"
"It's going good Kaen, I just thought I'd call and offer my services to the fledgling Symbol of Peace." David said, sounding like he was smiling.
'You have no idea how wrong you are on who that is.' Kaen thought. "So what's up?"
"I thought I'd call and see if I can help you out. As you know, I made your dad's costumes out of some highly durable fabrics that could withstand his immense strength. I thought I'd offer up the same services to you and Athena."
"Thanks Uncle David, but Athena's not going to hero route." Kaen said. "She's going to the Support Course, and is gonna get her hero license by taking the H.A.Z.R.D license exams after graduation." Kaen explained. "But, I could use your help with someone else's hero costume."
"I'll see what I can do, but let's hear it." David said.
"Alright so, there's this girl sitting at the dinner table right now and..."
"Kaen, I'm not gonna be helping you get her to say yes to going on a date with you." David interrupted.
"No, it's not that. She's my girlfriend. She and I are gonna be in the same class at U.A, and I'm helping her iron out the design flaws in her hero costume. I was wondering if you could possible make the costume alongside mine, if I were to send you the schematics for both of out costumes?" Kaen suggested.
"I can certainly try, if you already haven't made Toshi a grandpa, with this girl." David said.
"Why does everyone keep teasing me about this? She and I haven't gotten that far in our relationship yet." Kaen said.
"Alright, I'm sorry calm down. Look, send me the schematics for both your costumes once you iron out most of the flaws, and I'll see what I can do." Davis chuckled.
"Thanks Uncle David, you're the best." Kaen smiled.
"Just trying to help out a future pro. You know my E-Mail, just scan the designs and shoot them over, I'll chat with you later." David said, hanging up.
"Hey Mina, good news I..."
"Kaen, take a look now." Mina said, pushing the papers into Kaen's face as he walked back into the dining room.
"Whoa." Kaen had to take a step back as Mina shoved the papers in his face, and looked over the new design. "Mina, this looks... promising."
"I put together what you were saying before your phone call, and came up with a whole new design. Instead of having a one piece suit with a vest, I made a design similar to yours, with a few extra details added to mine." Mina smiled.
"As far as I can tell, most of the design flaws were removed so it looks like our designs are ready to send off." Kaen said, grabbing his own design, and heading for the stairs.
"Where are you taking my design?" Mina questioned.
~End Flashback Training Ground Beta~
All Might stood in front of the entrance to the faux city, looking over some cards, before he looked up, and quickly put the cards away, when he saw his students coming from the tunnel leading to the training ground.
Kaen's costume consisted of an open front leather vest, a pair of fingerless gloves that were armored at the knuckles and the back of the hands. Beyond those gloves, he wore a pair of vambraces that were armored on the top of the forearm, and leather on the bottom of the forearm, and black cargo pants with a hole in the back for his tail, finalized with black steel toed boots.
Mina's costume consisted of something similar. Her costume consisted of an open front leather vest with a furred collar, with a breast band over her chest to keep her modesty. One her hands she wore a pair of fingerless gloves that were armored at the knuckles and the back of the hands, with holes in the palms to allow for her acid to escape when using it. For the lower part of her hero costume she wore a pair of mini shorts, leaving her midriff bear, with stockings and a pair of light weight boots, with holes in the souls for her acid to slip through, keeping the functionality and color scheme she wanted of her original design when she pieced it together.
Uraraka's hero costume consists of a black full-body suit with the middle of her torso being exposed, stopping just above her waist, two black circles on her chest connected to a piece of fabric on the choker around her neck, and a black rectangle below her waist, running between her legs. Her shoulders were as bare as the middle of her torso, leaving both sleeves tied off by darker pink armbands that match the thick choker around her neck, as mid-upper arm length gloves.
She has circular wrist guards, a dark pink handle on the back of each one, wide knee-high boots with magenta soles and a two-piece belt around her waist a circle embedded into the center where the pieces join up, a helmet with a tinted visor sometimes worn on her head, all of which are the same pale pink color. The accessories are designed to press her acupuncture points to help keep her from getting sick from overuse of her Quirk.
Izumi's hero costume consisted of green one piece gymnast suit with a red belt holding up a matching green skort, with elbow and knee pads, and gloves, along with her signature red boots. The respirator around her neck is metal, diamond-shaped, and has eight holes in it, and connected to the goggles she wore on her forehead, with heavily tinted lenses, leaving her hair exposed.
Her hero costume is composed of a tight, black, sports bra, with an orange "X" across the middle, forming a v-neck. Her costume also has a metallic neck brace worn with rectangular ends that have three holes on each side. The sleeves of her costume reach from within her large grenade-like gauntlets to her biceps, similar to Uraraka's, but aren't being held up by ribbons. Her belt, which also carries grenades, holds up her slim form fitting pants with knee guards, below which she sports black, knee-high combat boots with orange soles and eyelets. Her mask is jagged and black, and as it goes around her eyes, a large, orange-rimmed flare shape protrudes from the back of each side, making the mask look like an explosion.
Ben's hero costume consisted of a black hooded cape with chainmail covering his body. His face from the nose down was covered by a black balaclava mask, and a pair of tinted sunglasses.
"They say the clothes make the Pro's, young ladies and gentlemen, and behold you are the proof." All Might said with a bright smile on his face. "Take this to heart, from now on, you are all, heroes in training."
"I can't wait to begin." Kaen smiled.
"This is getting me revved up. You are all so cool." All Might declared. "Now, shall we get started, you bunch of newbies?"
'Really, trying the same teaching method as gramps? Try teaching in your own way dad.' Kaen sighed, but smiled in amusement. 'I can't wait to see the dumpster fire this all turns into.'
"Now that you're ready, it's time for combat training." All Might stated.
"Sir." Iida said, raising his hand and showing he was the one in the armor. "This is the faux city from out entrance exam, does this mean we'll be conduction urban battles again?"
"Why don't you let him explain what's going on, and then you'll have a better understanding." Kaen suggested.
"Thank you Kaen." All Might said. "Now, let me explain. For this exercise, we're gonna start out with combat training, and in doing so, I'm gonna have you all participate in a PVP fight. Five on five, which means that there are a set number of rules to this battle. First rule is, most things go, but nothing lethal can be used to attack your opponent. If I see things getting too heated, I will end the match and the instigator will automatically lose. Second no outside help, you can use any tactic you like, but if I catch you cheating, your not only out, but you will have detention. So now that we've got that out of the way, let's get started, time is limited, so we'll be choosing teams by drawing lots."
"Isn't there a better way to go about this?" Iida questioned.
"Actually this is perfect." Kaen exclaimed. "Pro's are constantly having to team up with others heroes from different agencies they have no coordination with. Thus making this the perfect training for when we're out in the real world."
"I see, life is a random series of events." Iida said. "Excuse my rudeness." He bows to All Might.
"No sweat, let's draw."
The students all drew their lots, and the teams came out as followed.
Team-A was comprised of Kaen, Izumi, Uraraka, Jiro, and Yaoyorozu.
Team-B was comprised of Ashido, Tsu, Todoroki, Tokoyami, and Sato.
Team-C was comprised of Ben, Sero, Shoji, Hagakure, and Kaminari.
Team-D was comprised of Katsumi, Kirishima, Iida, Koda, and Ojiro.
"Wow, what are the chances? We're all on the same team." Uraraka said as she and the other three members of Team-A gathered around Kaen.
'How did I get stuck on a team of all girls and one boy?' Kaen questioned, his eyebrow twitching. 'An' Kirishima's team is the exact opposite.'
"Lucky bastard." Kaminari muttered.
"I declare that the first teams to fight will be..." All Might said, reaching into a white box that said hero, and a black box that said villain. "These guys..." He said pulling a white ball with A on it from the hero box, and a black ball with a D on it from the villain box. "Team-A will be the heroes. Team-D will be the villains."
Kaen looked to Team-D, as all the teams were grouped up with each other, and saw Katsumi glaring at their team, but more specifically, at Izumi. When Kaen looked to Izumi, he was surprised to find she had such a determined look on her face, it showed just how strong and self confident she'd become.
"Alright, here's the scenario. A group of villains have began terrorizing the city, and are threatening to blow it up with a nuclear warhead hidden somewhere in the city, and level the surrounding area. The heroes are sent in to intercept them, before they can detonate the device. The heroes can win, by either taking down the villains, or by obtaining the bomb, while at the same time, the villains may win if they can hold out until time ends, which signifies the timer of the bomb, or take down the heroes." All Might explained. "Now, that everyone knows what's to happen, the villains may head into the city to prepare for their attack. Don't worry too much about property damage, but be sure not to cause too much of it either. In ten minutes the heroes will be let loose, and the battle will start. Everyone else, to the monitoring room."
With the rest of the class, and All Might, heading into the monitoring room, Team-D went into the city, to the coordinates All Might had given them, and prepared for when the 'heroes' came to strike them down.
"Even though this is training, pains me to be aligned with criminal behavior, but if it's needed to learn how to be a proper hero, then I must." Iida said, walking up to the bomb. "So this is the weapon we must protect, fake of course." He rasp his knuckles on the hull of the bomb.
"I know how you feel about the villain thing man. I'm not too thrilled about playing the part of the villain either, but it's what we were picked as. So we just gotta man up and do this thing." Kirishima said.
"Agreed on both counts there." Ojiro said.
"Hey." Katsumi growled. "Do you really think Deku has a Quirk?" She questioned starring down they just came from.
"You saw how she threw that ball." Iida said, with Koda nodding in agreement.
"Though I think her power hurts her body." Ojiro added.
"Why does it seem like you're even angrier when it comes to Midoriya?" Kirishima questioned.
'Was she seriously just tricking me all these years?' Katsumi questioned. 'I'm gonna roast that damned nerd today, right after I beat that monkey to a pulp.'
Outside the parameter, Kaen was getting ready to fight as the others were thinking up a strategy that could be used to win the battle.
"Does All Might expect us to memorize the entire layout of the city before the exercise begins?" Uraraka questioned.
"I doubt it. Possibly he just wants us to get a general idea of the location." Momo said.
"Well, whatever the case, we need a plan of attack." Jiro exclaimed.
"I might have one, but first..." Kaen paused and looked to Izumi to see she was sweating nervously. "Someone needs to get Izumi a towel."
"Why is she so nervous?" Jiro questioned.
"Katsumi is part of the opposing team. She's been a bully of Izumi's since she first got her Quirk. Izumi is a late bloomer, she didn't get her Quirk until a couple months ago, so Katsumi bullied her, thinking she could step all over Izumi just because she has a strong Quirk, while Izumi had none. Now that Izumi's got her Quirk, Katsumi feels threatened, like an Alpha in a wolf pack, and will attempt to try and keep Izumi underfoot, like a beta." Kaen said.
"So basically, Bakugo has an Inferiority Complex." Jiro said.
"A Massive Inferiority Complex." Izumi said, coming out of her shaky stupor. "Imagine the cockroach alien from Men in Black and multiply it by ten. She's been like this, all because I was concerned about her, when she fell off a log when we were five."
"That sucks, and it's too bad for her, you seem like a good person to be friends with." Uraraka said.
"That's what I keep telling her." Kaen chuckled.
"How did you two friends meet anyway?" Momo asked.
"That's a long story, one we don't have time for at the moment." Kaen exclaimed. "But right now, we need a battle plan. So give mine a listen."
~Monitoring Room~
"Begin." All Might called out, into the microphone.
On the monitors the students and teacher were facing, all the events of the battle in the faux city could be seen, including the execution of the plan Kaen came up with as the group of 'heroes' could be seen running into the city, before splitting up and going in different directions. While on another monitor the 'Villains' could be seen in their own locations, causing havoc like they're scripted to.
"What's going on? Why did the heroes split up?" Tsu questioned.
"It's an age old strategy." Ben exclaimed. "Divide and conquer."
"How are they doing that?" Todoroki questioned.
"Take a look at the monitors. All of Team-D are in their own positions. Bakugo is with the bomb, Kirishima is keeping look out and causing some havoc three blocks to the South, Ojiro is to the East, Koda is to the West, and Iida is to the North." Ben explained. "With all of them divided like this, it was easy for Kaen to make a plan of attack based on their locations."
"How would he know where to find them?" Tsu inquired.
"Kaen can sense to Ki of anyone within a certain radius, so far his limits on his sensory abilities have yet to be discovered, and at the distance they are from each other, it's a piece of cake for him to tell who is who, and make an estimate on what their Quirks might be. It's likely he's paired each of his teammates to the opponents best suited for them. Here we have our first battle coming up." Ben explained.
~Izumi/Kirishima~
Izumi went running through the building's spaces, the alleyways creating the perfect atmosphere for her to go through the shadows undetected by Kirishima. Izumi went running through the shadows, and onto the ladder that was attached to the wall, creating a light metallic bang, loud enough for it to echo through the alley, and up to Kirishima.
From the rooftop Kirishima heard the bang, and looked up from what he was doing and ran over to the edge of the roof, looking down into the alley and saw nothing there, mainly due to the shadows.
"Hey Iida, I heard something in an alley, I'm gonna check it out." Kirishima said.
"Be careful, it could be one of the heroes leading you into a trap." Iida said, his voice sounding eerily like a supervillains.
'Seriously, he takes too his role too seriously.' Kirishima thought, jumping down to the first level of the fire escape attached to the building's wall, before jumping down to the ground.
Kirishima began looking around the alley, and noticed that there wasn't really anything of interest in that area to note. Kirishima kept looking around to find whatever had made that noise, unaware of the pair of eyes looking at him from the shadows, ready to pounce and strike at a moment's notice.
~Uraraka/Koda~
"Alright, Koda... where could you be?" Uraraka questioned, walking through the streets and keeping an eye out for her target.
Turning the corner, Uraraka jumped back behind it a few feet, before turning her head around it, spotting Koda talking to some squirrels that had managed to find themselves in the faux city.
"I've got eyes on the target." Uraraka said.
"Keep to the plan, and take him out as quietly and efficiently as possible." Kaen's voice came over the radio.
"Roger that." Uraraka said, before she began sneaking up on Koda.
~Yaoyorozu/Ojiro~
"I wonder where Team-A is, the exercise began five minutes ago." Ojiro pondered as he was walking through the streets of the faux city.
Not far behind him, but still far enough away that he wouldn't notice, Momo was sneaking up on Ojiro, in pursuit of trying to fulfill her own part of the plan. Using her Quirk, Momo made a roll of capture tape, getting ready to use it.
'Ojiro is right there, surely I can take him out now, right?' Momo thought, thinking she should stray from the plan.
"Yaoyorozu, stick to the plan. I can tell you're thinking of going off it, your Ki is telling me you're hesitant about something." Kaen's voice came over the com-link in her ear.
"Ah, right. I'm in position. I can take him out now." Momo said.
"No, wait for my signal. This has to be timed precisely." Kaen replied.
"Affirmative." Momo sighed.
~Monitoring Room~
"What are they waiting for? Three of them are already ready to take down their opponents without having to actually fight." Kaminari said.
"Knowing Kaen, he's got an actual plan in the works." All Might said.
"Yeah, about that, All Might sir. Why do you call him by his first name?" Sato questioned.
"Ah, it's habit I suppose. His father is my main secretary at my agency, and I just became part of his life." All Might exclaimed.
"So he grew up around you?" Todoroki questioned.
"He did." All Might nodded.
"So, if you know him so well, what do you think he's up to right now?" Tsu asked.
"I can't say for sure. Kaen has always been an unpredictable boy. But he's a natural born leader." All Might stated.
~Jiro/Iida~
"I swear, Bakugo really needs to learn what it means to be calm. Her anger is out of control." Iida said doing patrol. "I know it's just an exercise, but I still don't feel like it's right for a hero in training to embody villainy."
Some distance behind him, Iida was unaware of the young girl up on a rooftop, scouting him out from afar, while also using her Quirk to make sure he wasn't aware of her, and that she could keep an eye on his location.
'Good, he doesn't seem to have noticed me yet. I'll just keep following him until I get the signal from Yagi.' Jiro thought.
Jiro kept following Iida, keeping to his blind spots, but stopped and had to cover her mouth, forcing herself from laughing as she heard him getting into the persona of a villain.
'This may be harder than I realized!' She thought as she struggled to keep from laughing.
~Monitoring room~
"What gives?" Kaminari inquired. "We can see Midoriya, Uraraka, Yaoyorozu, and even Jiro, but Yagi isn't anywhere to be seen."
"No he's there." Ben smiled.
"How would you know?" The electric user asked.
"I've been his best friend for the better part of about six years now. Kaen's there, he's just moving in a way that the untrained eye can't follow." Ben explained. 'If Aunt Gine hadn't trained me to us me Ki, I wouldn't be able to track his movements.' He thought spotting Kaen moving swiftly through the air, before he realized something.
~Kaen/Katsumi~
"Damned Monkey. If he hadn't put that Quirk dampening collar on me during the Quirk assessment test yesterday, I would have gotten some answers out of Deku by now and having beaten her to a pulp to remind her of her place." Katsumi growled marching around the bomb on the roof it had been relocated to. "Hey, why am I the one guarding the bomb?" She shouted into her intercom.
"Because it was your idea. You said you'd stay behind and guard the bomb, because you had a feeling Yagi would be coming straight for it." Kirishima replied. "Have you seen him yet?"
"No I haven't seen him yet." Katsumi said.
As Katsumi was talking on her intercom, Kaen was hiding in the shadows of the streets and alley, looking up at the building the bomb should be on, before reaching around to his back, and pulled out a triangle with a rounded bottom and a pair of grips in the underside of it, remembering what the note that came with it said.
"This is an experimental addition made of a prototype metal, designed to be virtually indestructible. I know it's not part of your hero costume design, but I figured something like this suited you greatly. I hope you like it. I based it off a weapon of choice from an old school American Hero from the Pre-Quirk Era. His actual weapon is here at the Heroics Museum on I-Island. Give it a whirl in your first combat training and let me know what you thought of it."
'Uncle David, always going above and beyond to help make heroes great. Though I don't think here, is a suited place for the test run, not when I'm about to face off against an angry Pomeranian.' Kaen thought, putting the gift away. "Is everyone in position?" Kaen questioned as he began rising into the air.
"Ready." Izumi whispered.
"I'm all set." Uraraka said.
"I have my target in my sights." Momo confirmed.
"I've still got eyes on the prize." Jiro said, trying to keep from laughing.
"Focus Jiro." Kaen said sternly. "We only get one shot at this, we gotta make it count."
"I'm sorry, but Iida keeps on being ridiculous." Jiro snickered.
"Well get your head in the game. The instant Katsumi makes the first explosion, is the mark that indicates you all strike." Kaen said, as he became level with the building Katsumi was on.
"Wait, how will we know when she sets it off?" Momo questioned.
"Oh you'll know. The sound of her Quirk is hard to miss." Izumi chimed in.
"I'm going in."
Kaen flew towards the building, making sure Katsumi was able to see him, and the instant she did, she smirked and went running to the bomb, and slammed an explosion in his chest, knocking him off course, and to the surface of the rooftop.
"The Monkey has shown himself!" Katsumi called into her intercom.
~Izumi/Kirishima~
"The Monkey has shown himself!"
"What? Hold tight, I'm on my way." Kirishima said, turning around and heading for the building the bomb was on, hesitating when he saw a flicker of green light.
"SMASH." Izumi cried out, slamming a fist into Kirishima's face as she leapt from the shadows and straight towards him.
The force of the punch sent Kirishima back into a wall, and he crashed into it. In a daze, Kirishima was unaware of what was happening until he felt someone grab his arms, and tie them together.
It wasn't until Izumi stepped out in front of him, that he realized he'd been bound by capture tape.
"Kirishima is secure." Izumi said into her intercom.
~Uraraka/Koda~
"The Monkey has shown himself!"
Koda had to hold the earpiece away from his ear, as he didn't like the sound of Katsumi screaming. But his attention was drawn forward when a shadow flew over him. Right in front of him, his eyes widened as Uraraka lunged at Koda and tackled him to the ground, making the animal talker weightless with her Quirk, before she tied the capture tape around his ankle and kept him from floating away like a balloon.
"Koda is secure." Uraraka smiled.
~Momo/Ojiro~
"The Monkey has shown himself!"
"Hold on, I'm on my way." Ojiro said, turning around and making a run for where his team was, but he tripped and fell over, landing in a weird glue feeling, paper like substance. "What the? Fly trap paper?" He questioned. "I can't move, how strong is this stuff?"
"It's strong enough to hold Death Arms." Momo said coming out of the shadows, as she began rolling Ojiro up like a burrito and tied him up with the capture tape. "Gotta say, I didn't actually think Kaen's plan would work." She chuckled. "Ojiro is secure."
~Jiro/Iida~
"The Monkey has shown himself!"
"Fear not my comrades, I am on my way." Iida said as he began running towards their main base location.
"Heartbeat Distortion."
Before Iida could react as he passed an alley, a large wave of sound, resonating like a heartbeat being played on a loud speaker, came like a freight train and hit Iida directly, knocking him back and sending him flying back into a nearby building.
Almost instantly as Iida was regaining his bearings, Jiro came racing out, and tied up Iida's hands and feet with the capture tape, rendering him immobile without the use of any of his limbs.
"Perfect." Jiro cheered. "Iida is secure."
~Monitoring Room~
"Incredible." Todoroki said as he just witnessed four of Team-A's members simultaneously take out four of Team-D's.
"The dude planned this. He had his teammates take out the enemy right at the same time, leaving him and Bakugo to face off." Kaminari said.
"But why aren't the others going to help him?" Tsu questioned.
"Simple, they're treating this like the real world, and if this scenario were to play out, you'd see there are no authorities out to arrest the villains, so they have to stay there until the authorities do arrive, or in this case until either Bakugo or Kaen win." Ben explained.
"But, what if Bakugo overpowers him?" Tokoyami questioned.
"That's not gonna happen." Mina said. "Kaen is strong, and he can stop the Zero Pointer in its tracks with his Quirk. An' he gets stronger after recovering from any damage he takes."
~Kaen/Katsumi~
"It's kinda bold of you to come at the bomb, head first like that." Katsumi smirked as Kaen picked himself up and faced her. "Bold, but stupid. Did you seriously think you could come here, and defeat me without a plan? You must be dumber than I thought."
"Who says I don't have a plan?" Kaen questioned with a smirk.
Katsumi's smirk turned into a frown when she saw the confident look on his face. Reaching back up to her ear piece, Katsumi tried to reach her teammates, but couldn't get any of them to respond.
"What did you do?" Katsumi asked, looking to Kaen with a death glare.
"Simply put, I used an age old tactic, based on what you had your team did. You split up your team, because you prefer fighting alone. An' that put you at a disadvantage, giving my team perfect leeway to strike when the signal was given. In this case, the signal was the attack you just hit me with. Once that happened, my team secured yours without shedding any blood, causing a fight to break out." Kaen explained.
~Monitoring Room~
"Kaen's always been the kind of guy to try and resolve a fight where the outcome involves the least amount of damage to a person or property. If someone were to get hurt, he'd prefer it be him, instead of an innocent bystander, or someone he cares about!" Ben explained. "For as long as I've known the guy, Kaen has always studied on tactics and strategies."
"It's one of the reasons why he's such a lovable oaf in the first place." Mina added.
"It's one of the reasons why he's destined for greatness." Ben finished.
~Kaen/Katsumi~
"Your own pride was your downfall Katsumi. All that's left to do, is for me to either restrain you, or make contact with the bomb, and the Hero Team will win." Kaen stated cracking his neck as he rotated his shoulder. "So, what's it gonna be?"
"You." Katsumi growled, her entire body shaking in rage. "You think you've won. You think I'd surrender just because those weaklings were caught? All they did was slow me down, and now that they're out of my way, I now can let loose." Kaen sighed as Katsumi looked up at him, a power crazed look in her eye as she prepared to attack him. "I'm gonna make you wish you hadn't been stupid enough to piss me off."
Katsumi sent herself flying at Kaen with explosions propelling her forward, throwing a right hook at Kaen.
But Kaen was smart, he'd read Izumi's notebooks on heroes and Quirks, including Katsumi's, with the greenet's permission of course, and knew exactly how Katsumi started out her fights.
Sidestepping, Kaen grabbed Katsumi by the gauntlet, and flipped her forward, sending the ash blonde girl to the ground on her back, while also slipping the gauntlet off her wrist, and inspecting it.
"Hey, give that back." Katsumi growled.
"This?" Kaen questioned mockingly, before throwing it over his shoulder, and down the side of the building to the street below. "Oopsies." He chuckled.
"You damned monkey." Katsumi growled, lunging at him again.
"I'll be taking this." Kaen said, knocking Katsumi over again, while removing her other gauntlet, and tossing it over the side like he did with the other.
"I'm gonna kill you." Katsumi glared.
(Cue Music… Castle of glass: Linkin Park)
"C'mon, show me what you got." Kaen smirked, doing a, come at me, hand motion.
Katsumi's glare at Kaen increased as she screamed at the top of her lungs and went charging at him. Sending herself flying to Kaen, Katsumi thrust her right arm forward, but right before Kaen could grab it, she used her other one to send her to the side, before using a second explosion to send herself in Kaen's blind spot, before thrusting her hand at him, and letting off a large explosion.
"Got you that time, you damned monkey." Katsumi snickered.
"I don't think so." Kaen said, his voice coming from behind her.
Katsumi quickly turned around before she had to duck down as Kaen kicked at her. With his foot striking right past her, Katsumi felt the wind pressure behind that kick, and she could feel it was enough to have caused her some serious harm if it had landed.
'Holy shit, he's not holding back.' Katsumi thought.
'I'm not even using my Quirk.' Kaen thought with a smirk.
Using her Quirk, Katsumi flew back away from Kaen, before straightening herself mid air, and sending herself ramming straight into Kaen as her head slammed into his stomach, pushing him back to the ledge of the building. At that point, Kaen began pushing back, before Katsumi thrust one of her hands down towards the ground Kaen was standing on, and created an impact explosion that sent them both flying back. Katsumi landed on the ground of the rooftop, while Kaen went over the edge of the building.
Katsumi smirked, and went to the ledge of the building, looking down, before she leaned back, jumping away as Kaen flew upwards, bringing with him a gust of wind. The instant Katsumi regained her footing, she sent herself flying at Kaen and slammed her hand into his chest, setting off an explosion that would have otherwise mortally wounded someone who wasn't Kaen.
After the smoke from the explosion cleared, Katsumi was flipping through the air as she landed back on the ground near the bomb, while Kaen fell to the ground, letting off a big thud and a large explosion.
~Monitoring Room~
"I don't get it, why isn't Yagi just finishing the exercise now?" Tokoyami questioned.
"It's his nature." Mina said. "It's hard for Kaen to find someone who could match him in strength and keep up with him in a sparring match. Even I can't keep up."
"What about Kayama?" Todoroki questioned.
"Kaen and I have sparred with each other so many times our moves have become too predictable to each other." Ben added. "Our sparring matches have gotten boring because of that, so we don't really do them anymore."
"Kaen enjoys a good fight, and he's also got a personal score to settle with Bakugo." Mina explained. "So he's taking his time to let it sink in that she's not the strongest like she always claims to be."
"So, he's doing this for sport?" Sato asked.
"That's not very practical for this exercise." Todoroki said.
"True, but he knows the time limit, so he's bound to stop fooling around sooner or later." Ben exclaimed.
~Kaen/Katsumi~
"DIE." Katsumi screamed, hitting Kaen with a massive explosion.
After the smoke cleared, revealing Kaen was still standing, albeit a little winded from taking all her attacks, he dusted himself off, and looked to Katsumi with a smile.
"I can do this all day." He said.
Katsumi's blood boiled over at that point, and she charged at Kaen, with large, powerful explosions igniting from her hands. Reaching her arm and hand out to Kaen, she prepared to hit him with the biggest explosion she could muster, but Kaen had other plans as he maneuvered out of her path at the last second, before bringing his knee up and elbow down, hitting her in the chest and back at the same time, causing her eyes to roll to the back of her head, as she lost consciousness.
(End Song…)
"Sorry Katsumi, but you had to learn somehow." Kaen sighed, going to the fake explosive, and putting his hand on it. "There will always be someone stronger than you."
"All the Villains have been defeated and the bomb has been procured. Hero Team Wins." All Might declared.
With a sigh of relief, Kaen dropped to his butt, and leaned back on his hand, his arms supporting him up.
"Man, I seriously thought I'd need to bring out my new support tech." Kaen chuckled. "When she lets loose, she really give me a run for my money."
"Will Team-D please report to Recovery Girl's office for any medical issues needed?" All Might said. "Young Koda, can you please bring Young Uraraka with you?"
"Guess Uraraka took it too far with her Quirk." Kaen sighed, flopping onto his back. "I need a bowl of ramen."
