Halsey woke the day after he was rescued in the medbay of his former Masters ship. As soon as he opened his eyes Knox was next to him, "Master!"
"I am alright my Padawan," he said with a slight chuckle. Looking around for Trauma he was slightly disappointed that the clone Commander wasn't there. He thought they were making progress with trust.
"You seem to have had an eventful stay with Count Dooku," Master Koon said from the doorway. Halsey knew he was smiling behind the mask, "We also found your young friend. It seems that Commander Trauma has taken it upon himself to guard her at all hours."
Blinking, "The girl?"
Master smiled, "Yes, young Luorin." Bending his head, "It seems that she is the niece of the man who attacked you. And he only did it because Count Dooku put a device in the child's left heart that causes her to have seizures. It can even stop her blood flowing at all."
Shaking his head, "That's why he didn't look at me." Looking up at his former Master, "Why does Trauma feel the need to guard her. Didn't we save Savage too?"
The smile was gone as the Master shook his head sadly, "No. And Trauma thinks Luorin needs support as the medics try to find a way to remove the device from her heart. He also likes keeping her company." A slight note of amusement entered his voice, "I think she likes him too as she is now calling him Uncle Trauma and insists on holding his hand when she falls asleep."
This made Halsley smile. Looking at Knox, "Do you think we should keep her my Padawan?"
Knox nodded, "I like her." His head tentacles waving expressively.
Both the Masters smiled at this. "Well, we have to support her through this surgery." Knox nodded, "But I'm sure she'll pull through." With that the discussion went to Knox's studies and stayed with that until the medic came to do the next examination. But the thought of Luorin stayed with Hasley the entire time.
