Chapter six:
"How did it go?" Ritsus dad stares at him with a serious expression across his face. He is leaning back into the black couch:; his arm up around the back of said couch.
Ritsu comes over and sits in the gray love seat. He looks to his father sharing the same expression as he slightly leans back with confidence.
Just like his father had taught him.
"Well I explained to him the situation." Ritsu begins as his father listens in rather closely while still appearing to be chill. "I offered him the offer you asked me to share. He turned it down. He decided he is going to continue in the life he has found himself in." He stares at his father waiting to see how hell react. He sees a frown come upon his dear fathers face.
"I see." Ritsus father nods softly before shrugging his large shoulders. "Well there isn't much you can do. You really can't save them all Ritsu."
"I know father." Ritsu nods his head and slightly looks away. His hand coming to his chin with wishful thoughts. "I just kind of wish he had taken our offer. Instead of continuing in this lifestyle."
"Me too son. Me too. That boy has no idea the real dangers he's put himself in. He is going to have to learn if the hard way. But we won't be able to intervene at that stage. It was our one time only offer. Some people aren't meant for a lifestyle like ours. We can't do anything now. It'll all be on him for what happens from now on."
Ritsu nods softly before he lets his thoughts take him away again. He really hopes that everything will be okay for Kaoru. He swears the host club can seem like such weaklings... Though perhaps Kaoru isn't as weak as looks... He tries to shrug the thoughts away knowing that it isnt worth it. He won't know until more time has passed. He wonders if Kaoru will triumph or crumble and fall down a dark pit.
...
"There hasn't been any sign of our enemy. It's possible they're planning something." Razzy tells the group as they listen including Kaoru.
Kaoru watches Razzy pace in front of where they are sitting. He swears that Razzy definitely looks commanding as he walks. His mind slightly wanders to what Ritsu had told him. He doesn't doubt the other who seemed serious. He wonders if he should bring up if they're Yakuza or not... However he keeps his mouth shut. He doesn't feel like he has a safe enough spot in the group to try to just bring it up. He supposes they think it doesn't matter or that he's already figured it out. He brings his attention back to what Razzy is saying before he is caught in thought.
"And so we must be prepared." Razzy holds up his hand and motivationally slams a fist into his palm. "That sneak attack could be coming. We can't be caught off guard." He glances to the group. "Kaoru. I want you to go with Kira. Do a patrol on the east side. Kira knows the way." He turns to the others. "Mosu and Kai, the south. Oshan and Asahi the west side. I'll take the north."
"Should you be going alone in times like these?" Mosu tilts his head curiously. His gaze not leaving Razzy who meets his eyes.
Kaoru watches Mosu with a spark of appreciation that the other had the same thought. He didn't have to potentially challenge Razzy.
"Don't worry." Razzy smiles with assurance. "I will be bringing more weapons than you guys. Plus I plan on meeting the girl who helps with some drug trades. She can walk with me. She's pretty good with a knife. Now get going!"
Everyone gets up and heads off accepting that as the answer.
"Got that gun?" Kira turns to Kaoru who shows the gun to the other in confirmation. "Good." He turns away to look where they're going as they start to head for the outside. "I have a feeling that today we might need them." He adds a little softly though Kaoru did hear him. He leads Kaoru through streets and alleyways. He knows the exact route that they should take to cover some decent ground.
Kaoru keeps following and watches for anyone who seems suspicious. He so far doesn't see anything out of the ordinary. He pauses as Kira stops then walks around from behind him to be beside him instead.
"We're here." Kira informs Kaoru who blinks at him. He doesn't turn to look at the other. "The farthest part we can operate on this side. The rest out there belongs to Kasanoda-gumi. We go there and do anything that could threaten them were dead men." He explains further to the ginger haired male. "There's no way they'd let us get away with it."
Kaoru turns his attention to look to the way out of the alley. He can see buildings illuminated by streetlights, some stars in the sky, the moon, and some windows that show a light is on in the room.
"Watch your step and stay close to me. I'll show you the border closer." Kira walks forward once more and Kaoru trails along behind him. He stops by a rock. "This is a point of reference." He lightly kicks the rock that is stuck in the ground.
The rock doesn't budge at all.
"Just behind this rock is where it starts." Liea moves to be on the imaginary line of the border. "This is how it looks like." He walks along the imaginary line until he stops at a no parking sign. "Another point of reference. Same thing. Behind the sign and keep going."
At this point Kaoru has to move to follow the other. He pays close attention to where Kira is stepping. He makes a mental map in his head knowing that he should behave. He did turn down a direct offer to leave this life. He should be respectful to those who just wanted to help.
Kira continues to show him the border and does seem alert for anyone out there. He scans across the border once done showing it. He looks for any signs that anyone he can recognize is out there.
Kaoru stands by and lets Kira do that. He turns to look around the inside part of the border. He doesn't want someone to sneak up on them. Since he figures they might not be across the border. His eyes come to rest upon an alleyway where he swears he saw movement.
