Mystic Falls, Virginia Summer 2017

Sounds of the air conditioned Mystic Grille swirled around the eldest Salvatore, as he sat in a booth, patiently waiting for the others to arrive. He wanted to make sure they had a seat preserved for them, since it was evening time and getting to be around the dinner rush. Even for a Tuesday evening, as what currently today was, it could get pretty busy at the Mystic Grille.

Especially in the summertime, as many weren't in the mood for standing over a stove to cook, in such humid and hot weather, so they either preferred to cook up something quick which wouldn't require them to spend a long period of time over the stove or they preferred for someone else to do the cooking for them.

And Damon could see how many preferred the latter, as the Mystic Grille was filling up with those who would rather pay someone else to cook up a meal for them, if they could avoid the kitchen for the day. So his instincts had been correct in getting the hostess to seat him beforehand, rather than waiting for the others to arrive before requesting a seat.

Currently, Damon sat at the booth, scrolling through his phone as he waited for the others to arrive. Those who he was waiting for, happened to be his brother, his sister in law, and his best friend.

As far as his best friend was concerned, he had not seen her since Friday evening, when he treated her to those Burger and Fries she had craved at this very same Mystic Grille. Bonnie had spent the weekend splitting her time between Caroline and Enzo. As she had spent a girl day with Caroline on Saturday, then had spent Sunday doing whatever she had done with Enzo.

On yesterday, which was of course Monday, she had been mostly preparing for her upcoming job interview, so Damon hadn't seen in person then either, although he did speak to her for about an hour and a half over the phone during that particular Monday afternoon.

So, today would be the first time he would be seeing the witch in person for about three days and he really looked forward to seeing her. Because his days just weren't the same without him being able to spend at least a little time with and around Bonnie Bennett.

This was when he heard her enter into the Mystic Grille, he knew she was there, even before he looked, because he could hear the sound of her heartbeat due to his vampire hearing, and could hear it even over the other sounds swirling around him.

Damon shifted his eyes from his phone to the entrance of the Mystic Grille, where he could see Bonnie standing there with her eyes scanning the restaurant. He knew she was searching for him, as he had texted her how he would already be seated. He lifted his hand up in the air to grab her attention and let her know where he was.

After a few seconds, her eyes landed on him, as she spotted the booth he had preserved. She gave him a friendly, yet beautiful smile, waving at him. He smiled back, waving at her in return. Bonnie then headed over in his direction.

He got to his feet, pocketed his phone. Within a few seconds, she had approached him.

"Hey!" Bonnie greeted.

"Hey!" Damon greeted in return.

They gave each other a quick hug, before Damon gestured towards the booth. She took her quee, sliding into the booth to take a seat, maneuvering herself to the inside, where she sat next to the wall.

Damon scooted in next to her, as he sat near the outside of the booth. The booth happened to be just small enough where it required their shoulders to brush slightly as they sat next to each other, although neither minded.

Bonnie took notice of how it was only her and Damon there so far. "Where is Stefan and Caroline?"

"They're running a little behind." Damon answered. "Left them at the boarding house, yet they should be here shortly."

"Okay."

A waitress approached their booth. "Can I get you two anything? A drink to start off with perhaps?"

"Do you wish to go ahead and order?" Damon directed this question at Bonnie.

"No, I can wait for Stefan and Caroline to get here." Bonnie shook her head.

"Alright." Said Damon.

Bonnie informed the waitress. "We're waiting on two other people to arrive."

The waitress nodded with acknowledgement. "I'll come back when you're ready."

The waitress then moved onto serving another table.

"I have to thank you again for the mechanic you got to solve my car troubles." Bonnie started off the conversation.

"You're welcome again." Damon commented.

"And you're correct, your mechanic does know how to work miracles on cars."

"Told you I only require the best when it comes to those who interact with my vehicles. Which is why I recommended Fred to you, If anyone could have fixed your car within a few days, I knew that it would be him."

Bonnie moved her purse to the other side of her, making it rest between her and the wall she sat near. "I swear it's actually running better than it was before it broke down."

Damon drummed his fingers on the table. "Yep, Fred just has that certain touch to him as a mechanic, either has engines purring like a kitten or has older cars running like they're brand new. And at least can extend a car's life for a few years longer."

"I thought about giving him something in appreciation for prioritizing fixing my car."

"As in?"

She gestured. "As in a batch of brownies, cookies or some freshly baked goods."

He rubbed his chin. "I'm sure he'll gladly accept whatever baked goods you made for him seeing as how Fred has a sweet tooth."

Bonnie decided. "Then perhaps I'll bake something up and drop it off my Fred's repair shop."

Damon remarked with humor. "Whatever you drop off is going to be devoured within five minutes by all of the guys who work there for Fred."

Bonnie chuckled. "I'll guess I will have to bake two batches, one for Fred to have by himself and one of the other employees there to have."

"You don't have to go through the trouble."

"Not any trouble at all really, not with the excellent mood I'm in."

There was a short pause in their conversation, before Damon moved it to the next subject. "Well?"

"Well?" Bonnie glanced sideways at him.

"So, how did it go?"

"It would explain my excellent mood."

"You mean?"

The green eyed beauty beamed. "I got the job!"

The blue eyed vampire perked up. "Really?!"

"The interview was successful." Bonnie confirmed. "Aspens Clarke decided to hire me."

"Awesome, Bon!" Damon pumped his fist in the air in celebration.

Which resulted in her grinning.

"Told you, you could do it."

"Yeah, you did."

"How did it play out?" Damon was curious to know.

She explained. "Replied on being myself, being honest, and allowed my experience to guide me, you know."

He nodded.

"As I said, I was still somewhat nervous during the whole morning leading up to the interview. But, once the interview started, my nerves went away. The guy who interviewed me, he was professional, yet easy going. And because of how he conducted the questions he asked me, my answers flowed smoothly. Before I realized it, the time for the interview was up and I could tell by the look on the guy's face how he was convinced I would be worthy of working at Aspens Clarke."

"So, when do you start?"

"In two weeks."

Damon exclaimed. "I repeat, Awesome, Bon."

Her grin grew even wider. "I've landed a position in my dream field and what's even more, I'm on the path to the financial independence in which I desire!"

"Hell yeah!" Damon lifted up his hand towards her.

Taking his signal and knowing what exactly he wanted, Bonnie high fived her best friend.

Damon allowed his hand to fall to his lap.

Bonnie checked towards the entrance to see if Caroline and the younger Salvatore had arrived yet, however they hadn't.

"You know, you pursuing a position in your dream career got me thinking." Damon stated after a while.

"About what?" Bonnie questioned.

"About whether or not I should consider pursuing my dream career." Damon replied. "If you could call it a career."

"And just what would your dream career entail?" Asked Bonnie.

"Owning my own business."

She waited for him to explain further, curious as where he was going to go with this.

Damon confessed. "I wanted to always run a bar. Be the head bartender of it, but not just run it, I wanted for a while to own my bar. As in build it from the ground up as my own business."

"Wow."

"Yep."

Bonnie muttered. "You having dreams of being the business owner of your own bar doesn't surprise me actually."

Damon arched a brow. "It doesn't?"

Bonnie went on. "It fits right in with your personality."

"Oh, I see."

"That's a compliment, Damon." Bonnie smirked.

"I realize that, Bonnie." Damon smirked in return. "And you're correct, bartending does fit my personality. I guess that's one of the driving forces behind my thoughts of wishing to run a bar of my own."

"I mean you definitely have the expertise when it comes to alcohol and such related drinks which are served at bars." Bonnie pointed out.

Damon agreed. "I do."

Bonnie added. "Plus the disposition, along with the temperament I feel like is required in a person who is going to be in charge of serving adults in public specific amounts of a certain version of beverage."

"Which is why I used to have a bartending job, I guess."

"You used to bartend?

"I did temporarily have a bartending job a while back."

"When?"

Damon mentioned. "Back in the 1970s, in San Francisco."

Bonnie thought to herself how it had indeed been a while back when he had that bartending job.

He continued. "Anyway, I was just looking for some way back then to make some crash back then, and I knew just enough about that position where I could be able to land a job at a bar. Ended up getting hired at some retro style bar. Which worked great for me at first."

"I ended up pulling in some decent amount of tips per night, which was a good chunk of cash, even for that era. I would get regulars who came in during the nights where they knew I was working a shift. And they would request me specifically because I would make their drinks with a better quality than the other bartenders who worked there. Even better than the dude who owned that place."

"Proves as I said, you have the disposition to work with the public, so naturally they would be drawn to you and be willing to pay you in tips as long as you served them up quality drinks." Bonnie commented.

"People are willing to pay for a good service." Damon said in a matter of fact manner.

"So if you were getting paid decently in tips, what made you eventually lose that job?"

The raven haired vampire let out a huff. "Because the dude who owned the retro style bar turned out to be a cheat. A dirty, scumbag, low live cheat."

Bonnie shifted in her seat, causing her shoulders to inadvertently brush against Damon's more. "How did this dude cheat you?"

"Somehow he stole a week's worth of my tips from me. Screwed me over for his greedy, selfish gain."

This surprised Bonnie. "How in the world does someone manage to screw over Damon Salvatore out of his tips?"

"He found a way to use himself as the owner of the bar to abuse his position." Damon made a hand movement in the way he did when he was annoyed by a situation. "The smarmy bastard maneuvered his way into double crossing me and taking my tips. He screwed me over, using my hard earned work at his bar to put more money into his pockets. I would work all night and he would pocket all of my tips for himself. What's more is I found out I wasn't the only bartender or server he did this to. He took tips from others too."

"Sounds like a jerk." Bonnie mumbled with a shake of her head.

"He was that and then some. I mean, I was one of the main reasons for why customers were coming into his shithole business in the first place. I was the top bartender there, earning more tips than anyone. And for his thanks, he swarmed his way to my hard earned cash and kept it all for himself. Then when I confront him about it, he has the nerve to fire me." Damon scowled just remembering this incident.

Bonnie leaned forward. "What did you do?" Because she knew how Damon Salvatore, even in the 1970s, wasn't the type to let a person stealing from him just slide by without saying anything.

Damon admitted. "To be honest with you, I was in one of my phrases of my vampire life where I didn't give a shit and was ruthless. Which meant me often killing those who had crossed me or pissed me off. And I thought gleefully about ripping this dude's throat out, watching him bleed to death, just for stealing what was rightfully mine. However, I ended up leaving him alive and held myself back from ripping out his throat."

"How restraintful of you." Bonnie deadpanned.

He had to chuckle, as this was a common form of the banter they shared.

"You didn't kill him." Bonnie added. "But, I'm guessing you didn't allow him to get away with screwing you over either."

"Of course not." Damon recalled. "I trashed his bar, causing a thousand dollars in damage, then when he came to me all pissed off, I showed myself and how I wasn't a normal man."

"In other words you revealed to him you were a vampire."

"Yes, I revealed to him my vamp face. Threatened him to return all of my tips he had kept for himself and that if he didn't there would be hell to pay. He gave me the earnings of all the tips I made back to me, plus some extra cash. I did compel him afterwards to forget our encounter. Still it was satisfying to see the look of terror on his face."

She processed his words. "Can't say I blame you for how you approached that particular situation."

He tilted his head. "What, no telling me how I went too far?"

Bonnie shrugged it off. "I mean, I wouldn't of course have confronted the jerk in the exact same manner that you did. But, I would one hundred percent be pissed at anyone who had hired me, then have the audacity to steal my hard earned money. I would have given that person a piece of my mind and let him or her know what a piece of human garbage I thought they were."

"Because one of the things I absolutely cannot stand is an employer who mistreats the people who work under them, or who treats employees like they're less. I for sure hate it when people get underpaid for their work, while the higher ups get rich off of their labor. It's a shame how some treat and take advantage of those who need a job to feed themselves." She finished.

Damon concurred with the witch. "You and I are alike in this mindset. Which is exactly why I as a business owner would make sure to treat my employees with respect, I would pay them a fair wage, so they would be able to comfortably pay all of their bills, rent, and whatever else they needed in their daily lives. And wouldn't screw them over, because I know how it feels and it sucks. And I would hope to have a business successful enough so that my employees wouldn't have to live paycheck to paycheck."

Bonnie could see the sincerity behind what he was saying. He meant it when he said he had the desire to treat and pay those who would work for him well. "You should go for it."

"You think so, you believe I should try to put an effort into owning my own bar?" Damon questioned.

"I know so." Bonnie assured him. "Can tell by the sound of your voice how it's something you really dream of having in your life."

"All of the times before, I've either procrastinated or had something in my life preventing me from reaching that dream."

"Well, there's still the present and future available to you."

Damon templed his fingers. "True."

Bonnie gave him a supportive touch of her hand on his arm. "Come on, go for it, we both can work in our dream fields."

He gave her a warm smile. "We can."

"You have the experience and the expertise." Bonnie encouraged with her tone. "With how goal oriented you are, I have full faith in you to be able to not only own your own bar, but for that bar to be fully successful. And a successful business venture for you."

"You know what, you're correct one hundred percent." Damon spoke after consideration. "I have the means, money and the experience in bartending to have my very own business in the particular industry. And I can use all of that to get the resources I need to do what I need to do. It may take me some time, but I'm going to do it, I'm going to open up and own my arm bar."

Bonnie exclaimed. "That's the spirit, there you go!"

Damon beamed. "Thanks, for the pep talk."

"Just returning the favor from the one you gave me a few days ago."

"So, then we'll both have our dream careers!"

"Hell yeah!" Bonnie lifted her hand to have her palm facing towards him.

They exchanged another high five.

A few seconds after they did, Stefan and Caroline entered into the Mystic Grille.

"There's here." Damon said.

"I can see that." Bonnie said.

The two of them watched as Stefan and Caroline talked to the hostess. Assuming the hostess was letting them know there would be a wait since the place was now full of the dinner crowd.

From their mouth reading skills, they could tell how Stefan had relayed to the hostess how he and Caroline already had a table, which had been reserved for them. The hostess then gestured over to where Damon and Bonnie were seated.

Stefan then proceeded to take Caroline's hand and the married couple walked over to the booth in which Damon and Bonnie had already occupied. They slid in the booth which was across the table from Damon and Bonnie. With Caroline sitting across from Bonnie and Stefan across from his brother.

"Gratitude for the two of you waiting for us." Stefan started.

"No problem, brother." Damon returned.

"We're sorry we ran a little behind." Caroline remarked.

"It's okay." Bonnie commented. "Damon and I didn't mind the wait."

Damon signaled for their waitress to come over.

After briefly checking on some customers seated at another table, the waitress made her way to their table. "Yes?"

"We're ready to order." Damon told her.

"Alright." She said in her perky, polite customer service voice. "Would you like to have a look at the menu?"

Bonnie shook her head. "No, thank you, I already know what I want."

Caroline put in. "Me too."

The waitress got out her notepad. "What can I get for you?"

Bonnie ordered the loaded nachos, with a cherry coke as her drink. And Caroline ordered the side of onion rings, with a raspberry lemonade as her drink.

For the most part, Caroline had given up eating most human foods since she had turned into a vampire. Mostly eating them on special holidays or occasions. Yet one food item she couldn't give up were the Mystic Grille onion rings. They had been a favorite food of hers since she was a child. And had some sentimental value to them, as she could remember how her mom, Liz would often treat her to onion rings at the Mystic Grille, after she had school or cheerleading practice.

So Caroline still often ate onion rings because of this factor. And her vampirism couldn't even negate her craving for this particular food item.

While the woman ordered food items, the brothers themselves stuck to strictly ordering glasses of bourbon for themselves. The waitress moved away to put in their orders to the kitchen.

"We have reason to celebrate." Damon began.

"What reason would that be?" Stefan inquired.

"Bonnie successfully got the position at Aspens Clarke." Damon informed.

Caroline's eyes brightened. "Did you, Bonnie?"

Bonnie confirmed. "I did! I'll start a Monday two weeks from now."

Stefan directed at Bonnie. "Congratulations."

"Yes, wonderful news. I am so happy for you." Caroline spoke to her best friend. She knew how badly Bonnie had wanted that specific joh and was truly happy to see her best friend succeed at getting the position.

"Thanks, guys." Bonnie directed a smile towards both Caroline and Stefan.

Just then, the waitress came with their drinks on a serving platter. She placed the cherry coke in front of Bonnie. The raspberry lemonade in front of Caroline. And the bourbon before the two Salvatore brothers.

"Your food order shouldn't take too long. Even with how busy it is." The waitress let them know.

"Okay." Said Bonnie.

The waitress looked over the four of them. "I have to say, you four make for a sweet double date."

Stefan furrowed his brow. "Double date?"

The waitress cheerfully explained. "Yes, the four of you, I just think it's so cute when two couples go out on a romantic date together."

"Oh." Said Caroline casting a certain knowing expression across the table at her friend.

In which Bonnie responded by sipping on her coke.

"This isn't a double date exactly." Stefan told the waitress.

"It isn't?" The waitress looked honestly shocked.

Damon couldn't help but to smirk. "It isn't."

"Oh, well I just assumed." The waitress signaled between the two pairs.

"There's only one official couple at this table." Caroline pointed out.

As she put her notepad into her pocket, their waitress seemed to be trying to guess which one of them was the official couple.

So the four of them tried to help her out.

"We're married." Stefan and Caroline spoke at the same time.

"And we're just friends." Damon and Bonnie announced in unison.

Once again their waitress looked truly shocked at this development. She looked towards The Eldest Salvatore and the Bennett woman who sat next to him. "I just figured with how the two of you were interacting."

"Nope." Damon popped the p. "The two of us aren't romantically involved."

"Yeah." Bonnie added. "All you saw was us having a very close relationship of the unromantic kind."

"Opps, my bad." The waitress put a hand to her chest. "The romantic heart in me must have been overseeing things then, you two just gave off that sort of vibe."

Bonnie blushed due to the waitress's assumptions of her and Damon.

While Damon himself would have blushed if vampires were capable of blushing. He really didn't know how to react because honestly, he wasn't even trying to interact romantically with Bonnie.

Stefan and Caroline just exchanged amusement glances.

"My apologies for being wrong." The waitress told them. "Guess I shouldn't have assumed."

"Don't worry about it, we're not upset or anything." Bonnie returned.

"Okay, then." The waitress gave them a nod. "I'll go and check on those food orders."

Bonnie decided to play off what had just occurred. "What was that all about?"

Damon followed Bonnie's play. "Mystic Falls is a small town shouldn't most of the people here know about whom is going out with whom?"

Caroline commented. "That waitress just moved here about a month ago I believe, I saw her moving van one day while I was driving by. So, it would explain why she's not on the up and up on the relationships around here."

"Of course that explains it." Damon stated. "Because she would know Bon and I aren't romantically involved whatsoever."

"Yep, Damon and I are just friends." Bonnie remarked before sipping on her coke.

Stefan and Caroline exchanged another glance. Then there was an awkward pause at the table.

Before Stefan broke the silence. "You know all of us should do something fun."

"We should." Caroline agreed with her husband.

"Like what?" Asked Bonnie, glad for the change of subject from the awkward moment.

"Like going out to see a movie perhaps." Stefan hinted.

Damon swirled his bourbon around. "That's a great idea all of us should go out tomorrow to the theater to watch a movie together."

Stefan asked. "Would the two of you like for all of us to go and see a movie at the theater tomorrow?"

Since this question was for Bonnie and Caroline, the two women looked at each other and decided their decision through silent communication.

"I don't know about going out to the theater." Caroline grabbed her glass of lemonade. "There's really not anything I'm interested in seeing right now, what about you Bonnie?"

"I agree with you, Caroline." Bonnie sighed. "I can't think of any of the most recent releases in which I'm interested in seeing. And the ones I am interested in, I can wait until those movies come out on DVD."

"So you two don't want to go out to the movies?" Damon prompted.

"Not really." Bonnie replied. "Plus concession prices are ridiculous."

Caroline sipped some of her lemonade. "Between tickets and paying for concessions, we're talking about at least fifty bucks for the four of us."

Stefan motioned. "We wouldn't mind paying."

Damon went along with his brother. "Not at all, the price is worth it, if we're all going to have some fun."

"We realize how the both of you are willing to pay." Bonnie spoke for herself and Caroline. "It's just that we shouldn't waste your money if there isn't a movie we really wish to see right now."

"The movie theater experience should just be saved for the next time, when we all find a movie we're all interested in seeing together." Caroline added.

"What should we do instead?" Stefan wished to know.

"Whatever it is, we should still do it tomorrow." Damon muttered.

"Wel, we can still have a movie experience." Bonnie put in.

Caroline crossed her legs under the table. "Exactly, we can just experience watching some movies at home, from the boarding house. It will be more cozier that way."

Bonnie pointed out. "And cheaper. The popcorn and snacks won't nearly cost as much."

Damon rubbed at his chin. "A movie at the boarding house. I'm more than alright with that."

Stefan nodded. "I'm down for it."

After thinking about it, Bonnie came up with an idea. "But, instead of one movie, we should just watch a bunch, it would be a blast."

"Right." Caroline mentioned. "Just us spending a whole day binge watching movies."

"They shouldn't be just any movies though." Bonnie maneuvered herself. "They should be the older ones, we haven't seen in a while."

"Like classic movies." Caroline said.

The eldest Salvatore gave it some thought. "Binge watching classic movies, I'm game for that."

The younger Salvatore gave it the same thought. "Me too, I'm a fan of many classic movies."

"So, we all agree to have a classic movie day at the boarding house tomorrow?" Caroline asked this question.

All of them agreed.

"The only rule is that the movies can't be anything that was made or released just recently in the last few years." Bonnie suggested.

Once again they all agreed to this rule.

"We should watch movies from the 90s." Mentioned Damon.

"And 80s." Mentioned Stefan.

Bonnie and Caroline agreed to stick to watching 80s and 90s movies on their movie binge.

"Tomorrow we have our classic movie day at the boarding house." Stefan said.

The waitress came with their food order, placing the loaded Nachos in front of Bonnie and the onion rings in front of Caroline. Then she proceeded to move onto taking the order of another table which had just been seated.

Damon joked. "One movie from the 90s should be off limits to watching tomorrow and that's The Bodyguard."

Bonnie gave Damon a sideways look. "And why should the Bodyguard be off limits? It's a classic from that era which I happen to love."

"Love it too much." Damon snorted. "You must have watched the movie one million times."

"And so what about it?" Bonnie tossed her hair behind her ear.

They would at times, have light hearted banter about her love for The Bodyguard.

"If I have to see Kevin Costner one more time, I don't know how I'll be able to handle it." Damon bantered.

"Jealous of Kevin Costner are you?" Bonnie returned his banter. "You know how famous he was with women right after the Bodyguard was released. Perhaps you view him as your competition in that area."

"Please, Bon," Damon snorted once more. "Don't allow your biases for that movie to overstate Costner's appeal to the ladies. He wasn't even in the top five of 90s heartthrobs."

Bonnie snickered.

Damon went on. "I've watched that movie so much with you at this point, that I can even recite all of the lines scene by scene. Just like you know all of the dialogue by heart without even having to watch. I can't believe you haven't gotten bored with seeing Kevin Costner on the same repeated scenes yet."

Reaching for a napkin, Bonnie just rolled her eyes and smirked.

"I've watched The Bodyguard a ton of times in support of you. Yet a man can only take so much." Damon continued with mirth. "I would appreciate it if you would please spare me from having to see it at least for a while."

"Whatever, Damon." This time Bonnie snorted. "Can't help it if my taste in film is much better than yours."

"No, it's not." Damon muttered.

"Yes, it is." Bonnie playfully stuck her tongue out towards him.

Damon playfully stuck his tongue out in return towards her. "Whatever."

Caroline munched on an onion ring. "I fully support Bon to have the rights to watch The Bodyguard as many times as she wishes to."

"Thanks, Carebear!" Bonnie reached across the table and patted the hand of her blonde woman friend in appreciation.

"Us girls have to have each other's backs, right." Caroline smiled towards Bonnie.

"Correct." Bonnie concurred with Caroline.

Stefan cleared his throat. "Of course you would have Bonnie's back on this matter. You behave the same way when it comes to Titanic."

Caroline turned to face her husband. "Meaning."

Bonnie started to dig into her loaded nachos.

While Damon resumed drinking his bourbon.

"Meaning you've watched Titanic over and over again. So many times that I've lost count." Stefan hinted towards his wife.

"So, I admit to being a fanatic of that movie." Caroline confessed with a shrug.

"Fanatic?" Stefan poked at her in a playful manner. "More like obsessed."

Caroline's tone was fun loving and light hearted towards her husband. "Obsessed, really Stefan?"

Stefan gestured with his glass. "I mean you've watched it on DVD so many times, making the DVD skip and blur. You wore down on the DVD of Titanic and then had to buy a whole new one."

Caroline let out a breath. "Well, I happen to be fascinated with the history of how the actual real life Titanic sank."

"You're also fascinated with 1990s Leonardo Dicarprio." Bonnie directed at Caroline as she chuckled.

"Yeah, that too." Caroline admitted with a laugh. "I mean 1990s Leo is hot."

"I agree with you there." Bonnie lifted her glass of coke.

The two brothers just rolled their eyes.

"Okay, so I admit that you have a legit interest in the history surrounding the real Titanic." Stefan expressed to his wife. Which was true since Caroline was often watching documentaries relating to the history of Titanic. Or some youtube videos about the history of the ocean liner.

Stefan added. "Yet when it comes to the actual 1997 movie, you've watched it on repeat and yet still somehow manage to cry every single time."

Caroline sighed. "Come on don't exaggerate."

Stefan's lips curved in mirth. "I'm not exaggerating, you cry at the same parts. Which is Rose jumping back onto the ship, Jack dying, and at the end Rose goes back to Titanic."

"I can't help if those parts tug at my heartstrings all of the time." Caroline had a look on her face as if she were visualizing those very Titanic scenes in her mind. "Especially when Jack and Rose reunite at the end."

"Well, I would prefer for the Titanic not to be a part of the line up tomorrow." Stefan kept his tone light hearted. "I've seen enough of that movie to last a lifetime."

"Oh please." Caroline pursed her lips at her husband. "You constantly watch those old fashioned Westerns and I don't complain about it!"

Stefan chuckled at his wife.

The two women communicated across the table, reaching a conclusion with each other.

Bonnie spoke. "Fine, we'll compromise."

"Hear that brother." Damon waved a hand in the sir. "They say they'll compromise."

"I heard." Stefan mumbled.

Bonnie wiped her mouth with her napkin. "Fine, I can manage not watching The Bodyguard tomorrow."

Damon made a dramatic movement. "Woo Hoo!"

Caroline ate another onion ring. "And I can do without Titanic for our classic movie binge."

"Whew." Stefan swatted his hand across his forehead.

"However, Caroline and I wish to compenicate since you brothers insist we not watch our favorite movies tomorrow."

"Like we should be able to have some replacements for the Bodyguard and Titanic."

Leaning back, Stefan said. "I guess that's fair."

"Yeah, I guess.": Damon expressed with a hump of his shoulders.

"I wish to watch Ghost and Dirty Dancing." Bonnie stated.

Damon quickly caught on to the connection those movies had. "Films in which Patrick Swayze starred in."

Bonnie grinned. "Exactly, Patrick Swayze is a total babe and a heartthrob in this movie. Some of his best work, and he's good to look at during that time in his career."

Damon pinched the bridge of his nose. "Oh, good grief."

"And since I want my 1990s young Leonardo Dicarpio fix." Caroline commented in her bubbly tone. "I want to watch Romeo and Juliet and The Basketball Diaries."

Stefan sighed. "Oh boy,:

"As you said, it's only fair." Caroline pointed out.

"I did say that." Stefan admitted.

"Well, Damon. How do you feel about this compromise?" Bonnie questioned.

The Eldest Salvatore jokes. "As if Stefan and I have much of a choice."

The younger Salvatore joined in. "I don't think we do."

Bonnie and Caroline said towards the brothers at the same time. "Not really."

"I'll take watching those four movies any day of the week over having to endure The bodyguard for the millionth time." Damon decided.

"Yeah, I don't have a problem with those four movies at all." Stefan put in.

"But, Stefan and I should be able to pick some of our own classic movies in which we wish to watch on our binge." Damon remarked.

"There's a few 80s and 90s movies in which I haven't seen in a while." Stefan recalled those movies. "It would be nice if I could see them tomorrow."

"That's fine." Directed Caroline.

Bonnie nodded. "Yeah, the whole idea of the binge is for all of us to have films we all enjoy. It's only fair."

Damon suggested to her. "You should see if Enzo would like to join us. Perhaps he would be interested in our classic movie binge as well."

"Uh, sure I believe Enzo's schedule for tomorrow is free." Bonnie reached for her cherry coke. "I'll ask him to see if he is interested in coming to the boarding house with me."

"Be there my early afternoon, so we can get in as many movies as possible." Damon told her.

Bonnie gave him a nod.

Stefan wordlessly eyed his older brother, arching his brows up into his hairline, wondering why Damon would invite Enzo of all people to join in.

Damon could tell how Stefan was taken aback by him being the one to suggest to Bonnie to invite Enzo along. Stefan afterall was aware of the eldest Salvatore's feelings for the Bennett Witch, which explained Stefan's expression of disbelief towards him. As the younger Salvatore couldn't quite believe Damon would be the one to invite the boyfriend of the woman he was in love with along.

Yet, Damon merely shrugged at his brother, he was sincere when he said how wanted Bonnie to be happy, so Damon just saw himself inviting the British vampire as his way of supporting Bonnie. He would always be willing to do what it took and to sacrifice himself for her.

Eric strolled into the Mystic Grille, searching for a way to wind down, and he figured that going to the Mystic Grille was the way to do just that. Mystic Falls, Virginia was still a small town at this stage and it wasn't like they had a ton of options for him to seek out.

The Viking vampire looked over the place, he could tell from how packed it was, that it was very popular among the locals. To him it wasn't as cheap as the bars in Bon Temps and seemed more classier than some of the eateries in Bon Temps. Which wasn't saying a lot, still Eric figured the Grille to be good enough for a drink and for him to consider his next move.

The hostess of the place came over to him, informing him how he would have to wait for a while if he wanted a table due to how busy it was. Eric told her he wasn't interested in being seated at the table, that he had just come for the bar service. And because there were a few open spots at the bar, the hostess decided to go ahead and allow him to sit there.

So, Eric made his way over to the bar area, taking a seat on one of the stools. It had been a few days since his arrival in the year 2017 and events so far seemed rather slow, as nothing too big had happened yet. And because of this Eric focused on settling down and preparing for what he was going to have to do.

One of the ways he did this was by glamouring the landlord of an apartment complex to rent him out an apartment, which happened to be furnished. Eric didn't know how long his stay in 2017 would end up being, yet he wanted to make sure he had comfortable, although comfortable living quarters. And the apartment complex he had picked was one of the nicest in Mystic Falls.

He had spent the first couple of days in 2017, trying to find out where Skyler Parker was. Yet for some reason, much to his surprise, the unhinge redhead had yet to make an appearance or reveal herself. Because if she had already done so, then the signs would be clear and impossible to miss.

Skyler Parker had yet to make her move and Eric wasn't quite sure why this was. And as far as he knew, there were no death or kill attempts made either on the lives of Damon or Bonnie's. Because Eric had kept an eye on them from the shadows, then had seen how the two were going on about their time as if everything was normal.

The Vikings vampire was just racking his brain on the best way to approach the two of them, to let them know that some unhinged woman had traveled from the future to kill them. That he himself was from the future, and not only that, but how he was in a very close relationship with their daughter, who didn't even exist yet in this year 2017. As Autumn would call it 'awkward'.

Yet, Eric realized he would eventually have to give the pair of them the dire warning, so they could be aware of the crazed redhead who wished to make an attempt on their lives.

Eric ordered a drink from the bartender, then angled his body, allowing him to get a good look at the patrons who were in the area surrounding him. His eyes scanned the place, until they landed on the four people who were sitting in a booth.

Those four people happened to be Stefan Salavatore and his wife Caroline. Then Damon Salvatore and who was currently Bonnie Bennett sitting next to him in the booth they shared. The four seemed to be involved in a lively conversation with each other.

He had no idea they would be here at this moment, yet still it allowed him at least to watch Bonnie and Damon, the future parents of Autumn Bennett-Salvatore. Eric observed them in a way, which it wasn't too obvious that he was keeping his eye on them. Even though none of them seem to even be aware of his presence.

Stefan Salvatore and his wife Caroline, were already a couple by this time, and from what Eric could tell, their relationship was still going strong from what he last saw between the two of them in the year 2044.

Damon and Bonnie however, was a different matter. The older Salvatore brother and the Bennett witch weren't romantically involved with each other yet, at least not on an official level. This was when their relationship was still in the 'friendship' stage and so they weren't currently together at this 2017 moment.

Yet as Eric observed them and how they interacted with each other, he could definitely see the undertones and undercurrents of romance and feelings there. It was like there were these unresolved feelings between the two and they were just going along acting like there wasn't more there.

It felt strange to Eric, because where he had left them off in 2044, the married pair were a lot more open with their love for each other. And they expressed their romantic feelings for each other freely, through their words and body language.

So, it was strange to Eric to see how they were before they would become official. Yet he supposed the situation overall was going to be an odd one for them all, once they caught onto the revelation of what exactly had happened in the future, which caused him to have to be sent back in time by twenty seven years.

Eric reached for the drink the Mystic Grille bartender placed in front of him. Every now and then, he kept glancing back at the four people who sat in that particular booth in which he had been observing.

Skyler Parker had yet to make an appearance or even a move on the life of either Bonnie Bennett or Damon Salvatore. Once again Eric wasn't too sure of why this was, yet he knew four sure how she was somewhere plotting out her vengeance.

Wherever she was, Eric was perfectly aware of the fact that she was in this time period, somewhere close by, where she could be within striking distance of the future parents of Autumn. He knew she was scheming for a way to end their lives and to murder them. And how it would only be a matter of time before she put her plans into motion against the pair.

In the meantime, Eric would make it his mission to keep an protective, alert, watchful eye on Bonnie and Damon, to prevent any of Skyler's attempts on their lives from becoming successful. As the very existence of the woman he cared and loved for relied on him to do this.

"You're new around here."

Eric turned his attention to the bartender who had broken into his thoughts. "Am I?"

The bartender implied. "I know all of my regulars and most of the people in this town, I've haven't seen you around in Mystic Falls before."

"You're correct, I have been around in Mystic Falls before." 'Not in this timeline at least'. Eric added to himself in his mind.

"So, what drew you to coming to a small, quaint town such as this one?" The bartender asked. It was just part of his way of making conversation with those he served.

Eric's mind went to Autumn, her unique mermizing blue-green eyes, her stunning smile, her alluring, compassionate personality. "Interests very personal are what drew me to this town."

Skyler Parker occupied a room, in a cheap motel, that was about a twelve minute drive away from where the Mystic Grille was. She had the shade pulled across the cheap motel room's window to block out the last evening rays of sunlight to prevent light from pouring into her room.

She did this, because currently with the massive headache she had, it hurt her eyes and her head to look at bright lights. For several days she found herself not being able to handle the sunlight in her eyes for too long, so she stayed within her motel room for as much as she could. Otherwise going out into the sun would make her headache worse.

For several days, she felt like her body had been hit by a battering ram. Her older brother, Rupert had warned her that this could happen. He told her how overtaxing the time traveling spell she was going to attempt had the potential to be on her physically. And had strongly suggested for her to wait it out a few days back in 2044, before she attempted to go back in time to 2017.

Rupert had said she needed to be in top physical condition, before she tried such a time traveling ritual. And at the time, she wasn't in top condition, mainly because she was still concussed as a result of Damon Salvatore tossing her into a tree, in which she had connected to, causing her to pass out.

The blunt force had been so severe, that it caused her brain to rattle inside of her skull, causing her to have a concussion. Which had given her the classic symptoms of being concussed, such as being nauseous and having some sensitivity to light and sound.

Rupert, realizing how concussed she was, protested to his sister to wait until she recovered for a couple of days at least before she attempted this particular time traveling ritual. However, Skyler Parker was hearing none of her brother's protest.

She was impatient, she refused to wait around even for a few extra days to travel back in time. Because Skyler felt the urgency to get back her husband and her son as soon as possible. Plus, she knew how Damon Salvatore would come after her to finish the job he couldn't finish at the battlefield.

Which was another reason why Skyler had objected to her brother's protest. If she had waited around too long back in 2044, then she would either end up dead at the hands of Damon Salvatore or she would never get to be able to complete her time traveling rituat and her plans to get Kai and Rohan back would be foiled.

After going back and forth over it, Rupert eventually went along with Skyler's objection and agreed with her on her plot to immediately go back in time to get Kai and Rohan back. Rupert knew it was the only chance they had of completing the revolution of the Parker Regime and Gemini Coven.

Still he had warned her about how taxing traveling back in time could be on her body, especially since she was concussed. And her concussion had made it more difficult for her to focus on the task at hand. It almost made the particular time traveling ritual she had attempted go horribly wrong for her.

Skyler had almost overshot the time destination she needed to travel back to by several decades; she had come a few seconds away from winding up in 1997 or 1987, instead of 2017. And it took every last ounce of concentration she had to pull herself into the 2017 timeline. She had barely made it here to this time, yet she had made it.

But, her not listening to Rupert's warning about how overtaxing the time travel ritual would be and her having to use all of her magical and mental strength to get herself to 2017, had made her pay a price. And now her body and head were paying the price of her not waiting to recover from her concussion.

Skyler Parker had envisioned arriving here in 2017, hitting the ground running. She envisioned herself immediately seeking out Bonnie Bennett to eliminate, as a way to ensure she could get her husband and son back in the future. She envisioned ending the life of Damon Salvatore, as a bonus. Punishing him for how he had viciously beheaded Kai, the man she considered her soulmate.

Yet, she soon found herself highly disappointed, due to the fact of her current condition throwing her off of these plans. Due to her condition, Skyler discovered that she would have to delay going directly after the pair of them herself. Because she wasn't at the strength or the power where she would be able to successfully complete her mission. She was temporarily weakened at the moment and knew that going after Damon or Bonnie right now would result in her life being ended and her plans to bring her family back to life foiled.

The time travel ritual had taken a serious toll on her body, leading Skyler to realize how it would at least take her a few days before her body would be able to fully recuperate itself, to allow her to go after Bonnie Bennett and Damon Salvatore. So, she had no choice but to wait.

Wait as she lay across the bed in her cheap motel room, her body aching like it had been run over by a one thousand pound elephant and her head throbbing as if some wrench was squeezing it from the inside and outside at the same time. She could hardly move without her muscles screaming out in agony. She would have to wait until her mind and body fully recovered before she herself was able to get after them. But, she could force herself to be patient if it meant getting Kai and Rohan back.

Wincing out in pain, Skyler shifted on the bed, until she was looking up at the ceiling. The aches in her body, was worth it to her, as she would risk it all just to see her husband alive again. She recalled how it was during the initial days after she had used her sorcery to bring him back to life.

She had taken the Gemini Coven Parker to her home in Missouri for him to stay. And for them to keep his emergence back into life, a secret from Damon, Bonnie and anyone else who would be displeased to learn he was back on the earth.

Skyler had planned everything out, cleaning and prepping her home for the arrival of Kai Parker, creating a whole room for him to sleep in. And it hadn't taken Kai at all long to move in, making himself home at her house.

She recalled how Kai had raided her fridge, her pantry for all of the food he could get his hands on. Apparently being brought back to life had given him a ferocious appetite. Kai had eaten like a man who was never again going to get another bite of food in his life. Having the appetite of four grown men rolled into one.

Her grocery bill had gone up a substantial amount during the first couple of weeks after Kai had arrived. Yet, Skyler didn't mind, in fact she thought that he was adorable with the way he would stuff his face, at times chewing his food with an open mouth, which some people found disgusting or rude. Yet she didn't.

She glady cooked all of the meals for him that she could. And just sat there, staring at him as he ate, ate, and ate. Kai had a ton of questions for her, about why she had put in the effort to bring him back to life. And Skyler had told him how she had compassion and empathy for his plight. And how she agreed with his world views on everything.

And she could tell how Kai was impressed, how he appreciated to finally have someone in his corner, to understand and see things from his perspective and point of view. So, Kai opened himself up to forming an alliance with her, which eventually led to a sexual relationship. The first time her and Kai had sex, had been just a couple of months after they met, yet her relationship with him still developed into something more. Skyler could tell how in his own Kai Parker way, how he started to care about her.

Her and Kai shared their common goals, plotting and scheming together for him to gain power and for him to finally become the leader of the Gemini Coven. They went on about their way to reign terror and vengeance upon anyone who had hurt them, did them wrong or stood in their way.

Before she knew it, her and Kai had fallen into their own version of love. In what some might call sick or twisted, yet it was still love to Skyler. Outsiders to their relationship, would look at Kai and see nothing but a psychopath, they would call him a sociopath, who had no morals or remorse.

They would view her in a relationship with him, question her judgement on how she could be with a man such as Kai Parker, they would see him as some sort of monster. And yet Skyler didn't care, she knew Kai had 'loved' her in the way it was only possible for him to love someone. And she would sell every ounce of her soul and every inch of her entire being just to be with him. In a way, Kai and their son was all she had, and she would go crazy if she didn't get them back.

Grimacing, Skyler inched over to the edge of the bed, then reached for her traveling bag she had brought with her from the future. She put her hand inside, tossing the items which were contained in her bag, until her hand landed on what she wanted.

She grabbed the item out of the bag, pulled it out, until it was in full sight of her eyes. The item was a photo, one she had taken of Kai a short time after she had brought him back to life. She had been so enthralled, entranced with his presence and appearance around her that she had acted like a fangirl meeting up with their celebrity crush.

One of the things she did was take a bunch of pictures of Kai Parker. And this one was of Kai laying sprawled across on the bed, fast asleep, his mouth wide open on a snore.

With a bitter sniff, Skyler ran her finger across the picture, right where Kai's face was. "I'll make that cunt pay for what she did to you." Skyler said in a low tone about Bonnie. "And you'll be mine again, I swear it to you."

Skyler then pressed the photo to her chest, she herself couldn't go directly after Bonnie or Damon at the moment. Yet, it didn't mean she could actually do nothing. Since she had to recuperate herself for the next few days, she had come up with a contingency plan.

A contingency plan in which she sent after Bonnie Bennett. And if everything worked out like Skyler hoped it would, perhaps she wouldn't even have to go after Bonnie herself after all. Because if it all worked out for her, Bonnie or even Damon Salvatore if he got in the way, would be dead within the next couple of days.

And then maybe Skyler Parker knew she would be able to send herself back to the future. And reunite with her husband and son, sooner rather than later. Where the Parker Regime could continue their plot to dominate and rule over the world.

Skyler looked up at the ceiling once more, as she kept the photo of Kai pressed against her chest. It would only be a matter of time to tell whether or not her back up plan actually worked.

The doorbell of the boarding house rang early in the afternoon, on the following day.

"I'll get it." Damon called out.

He walked to the door and opened it, there he spotted Bonnie standing in the entrance way along with Enzo.

"Hello, there Bonnie." Damon greeted.

"Damon. We get here early in the afternoon as we could." Bonnie greeted in return.

Damon signaled with his head. "Come on in." He stepped to the side.

Bonnie entered into the foyer of the boarding house, followed closely by Enzo. Her and Damon exchanged a quick hug.

"Enzo." Damon shifted towards the British vampire. "I'm glad you could come."

"Yes, well Bonnie told me you invited me over." Enzo spoke with a thick British accent. "The premise did interest me, so."

"The more the merrier." Damon offered his hand to be cordial.

As a way to remain civil Enzo gave Damon the handshake. "Appreciate the invitation."

Damon allowed the handshake to linger for a few seconds, before releasing Enzo's hand. "I think we're in for an entertaining day today."

Bonnie looked around. "Where's Caroline and Stefan?"

"They're in the TV room." Damon jerked his thumb over his shoulder. "You've arrived just in time we're about to start the movie binge shortly."

"Okay." Bonnie responded.

"What do you have there?" Damon noticed the stuff she had in her hands.

"Just bought a few DVDs over, of movies I had made in the 90s." Bonnie held them up to show him.

"Cool." Damon said. "Go on make yourselves at home, I'll join you all in the TV room in just a little while."

Bonnie proceeded to kick off her shoes, since she knew they would be here for at least a few hours, she wanted to be comfortable. She placed her shoes neatly next to the front door.

Damon headed towards the boarding house kitchen, as Bonnie followed by Enzo making their way into the TV room, where Stefan and Caroline were already gathered. Here they would watch those classic movies, some would be on DVD, while others would be taken from Netflix.

Stefan sat down in the big comfortable, recliner chair, while Caroline sat on her husband's lap. Which left the couch of that room free. So Enzo and Bonnie took their seats on the couch. A few moments later. Damon joined the others in the TV room.

He approached Bonnie with a medium sized mug. "Cappuncio, just the way you like it."

"Thanks." Bonnie took the mug from Damon, she took a sip, he was correct in making the cappuncio just the way she liked it.

"Can I get you something, Enzo?" Damon prompted.

Enzo shook his head. "I'm all right."

Damon established his spot on the couch, on the opposite side of Bonnie from where Enzo sat, making it so she sat in the middle, in between the two vampires.

Shortly after Damon had taken his seat, they started the classic movie marathon binge. Which started as them watching action/adventure films from the era of the 80s and 90s. It didn't take long for everyone to get into or either to begin enjoying these films. Especially when the more popular action movies of that era appeared on the TV in front of them.

Once they had watched a handful of actions and adventure movies from the 80s and 90s, they moved on to watching thrillers and horror movies from that era. Some of the scenes in the horror movies caused the women to scream or squeal out in fright or to cover their eyes. While the men kept their eyes locked on the screens as if they were entertained by the terror or gore in them.

Several hours passed by, as popcorn was popped and consumed, along with some other famous snacks people often watched while movies were watched. And as it turned out, they were indeed having fun watching some of the older movies, in which they hadn't seen in a way.

Eventually, romcoms or pure romance films were the next genre of the 80s and 90s, which was on their list to watch. One of the first movies in that category was the one Bonnie wanted to see Ghost.

Of course Bonnie and Caroline both swooned when the pottery scene between Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore came up. And even the men in the room had to admit that it was one touching scene. And one of the most romantic ever done throughout movie history.

Enzo was actually enjoying this movie marathon somewhat, however as the hours passed by, he would occasionally have his gaze set upon Bonnie and how she was interacting with Damon. Every now and then, they would laugh together at a scene in which they would both find funny, or Damon would make some snarky comment which made Bonnie snicker, or they would banter or talk back and forth. Or simply exchange a friendly smile with each other.

And even though all of their interactions were that of what close friends do, Enzo still found himself bothered by it for whatever reason. It was the camaraderie and closeness between The Eldest Salvatore and the Bennett WItch, which emphasized the inseparable bond the two of them shared. Enzo made himself bank back the insecurity he was feeling. Reminding himself that Bonnie was his girlfriend and not Damon's. The British vampire forced himself to continue enjoying the movie marathon before him.

After some time of watching these romantic movies, they had come up on Caroline's pick, which was the 1996 version of Romeo and Juliet. Once again the women swooned during the scene where Romeo met Juliet. Especially due to the song Kissing you by Des 'Ree being sung during the scene.

Then of course came the end where Romeo and Juliet ended their own lives out of the agonish of not being able to be together.

Caroline being the sensitive soul she was at sad scenes such as this in films, cried softly as the montage of Romeo and Juliet played.

And Bonnie, although not as overcome as her blond friend, dapped at her eyes during this particular scene.

However, Damon smirked with his Damon style mannerism. "Great, Vampire Barbie, you just had to pick another movie where Leo bites the dust."

Caroline scowled over at him, although not in a serious manner. "Don't be an ass."

"Be nice, Damon." Bonnie said with a light tone as she nudged the eldest Salvatore.

"Yeah, be nice, Damon." Stefan directed towards his brother, as he sweetly offered his wife comfort by rubbing her back.

"Fine, I'll be nice." Damon expressed with a mischievous grin.

Next to him, Bonnie shook her head and rolled her eyes in amusement.

Nighttime had fallen by the time the classic film Dirty Dancing was on the screen. Once again, they were into the movie, especially the girls when it came to the scenes between Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

"Nobody puts Baby in the corner." Damon mimicked Johnny Castle perfectly.

Which caused Bonnie to giggle.

As the movie got closer to its end, Enzo received a phone call. In order to be able to hear the person who was calling him. Enzo excused himself, taking the phone into another quieter area of the house, where he would be able to talk over the phone in private. After spending a few moments on the phone, Enzo ended the conversation. Then proceeded to head back to the TV area.

His ears had picked up the sounds from the TV, as he approached that room. He heard the song Time of my Life blasting from the TV of the speakers and realized that the popular dance scene towards the end of the movie was playing. He smiled to himself as he had to admit how it was one the most well done scenes ever in a film.

As he entered the TV room however, his smile faded somewhat. Before him were Stefan, Caroline, Damon and Bonnie. They all had gotten up from their seats and were dancing along with the characters in the movie to Time of my Life. And they all obviously were having a good time doing so.

Enzo couldn't have but to frown as he watched. He felt odd, as in the odd man out. And he shouldn't have felt this way since Stefan and Caroline were a couple, while he and Bonnie were a couple, with Damon being the only one here who didn't have a romantic partner. And yet still the dynamic between the four made him seem like an outsider almost.

Enzo said nothing as he continued to watch them dance to the scene. Then came the moment of the famous lift, between Johnny and Baby. So the two pairs separate for some space. With Stefan standing at one side of the room and Damon at the other. The two women ran to the men.

In unison Stefan lifted Caroline above his head, while Damon lifted Bonnie. Enzo's eyes locked onto his girlfriend with Damon Salvatore, and the glowing laughter on her face as Damon held her above his head. Those insecurities Enzo felt earlier came bubbling back to the surface.

He watched as Damon lowered Bonnie to the floor, gathering her in his arms to make sure she didn't fall. As her feet touched the ground, she had her hands on Damon's shoulders and he had his arms wrapped around her waist. As they both laughed, their faces just inches apart.

Enzo swallowed down his jealousy at the scene before him. Telling himself that Damon and Bonnie were just two friends having fun, and that Bonnie was still his girlfriend after all. And if he had to be honest without himself, it wasn't like Damon was trying to be romantic with her or anything. Just the two, along with Stefan and Caroline wanted to dance to a very popular very scene.

Damon released Bonnie as Enzo stepped further into the room.

Bonnie turned to face her boyfriend. "What was the phone call about?"

"Nothing of importance." Enzo replied to her.

"I hope you don't mind Bon and I dancing just now." Damon said cordially towards Enzo. "She wanted to do the famous lift move and I couldn't pass up the urge to see if I was strong enough to pull the move off."

'He was'. Bonnie thought to herself.

Enzo made himself smile. "I don't mind you two sharing a dance at all, it is a rather spectacular scene of the film."

This made Bonnie grin.

As the ending credits of Dirty Dancing rolled on the TV, Enzo spoke. "We should be heading home now."

"Is something wrong?" Bonnie asked the British vampire.

"No, nothing's wrong, Love" Enzo shook his head. "Just that it's getting late, so I figure we should be getting out of here soon."

Bonnie examined the screen of her phone, and was surprised to see the time, as she didn't know it was that late into the night. "Wow, I hadn't noticed it was this late, I figured it was earlier than that."

"Well, you know what they say." Damon commented. "Time flies when you're having fun."

"Indeed, time does fly when fun is being had." Bonnie shifted the phone in her hand. "I guess, Enzo is right though, we should be heading home."

"Drive safely." Damon nodded towards her and Enzo.

"We will." Said Bonnie.

"And enjoy the rest of your night." Damon added mainly towards Bonnie.

Enzo reached into his pockets for his car keys. "Again, Thanks for inviting me over, Damon."

Damon returned. "Anytime, Enzo."

Bonnie waved a hand. "Bye, guys."

Damon, Stefan and Caroline all said their versions of bye or good night to her.

"What about your DVDs?" Damon questioned before she stepped out of the room.

"I'll come back and get them on another day." Bonnie answered.

"Okay then." Damon nodded once more.

She waved bye to the Eldest Salvatore again, before leaving the TV room. Her and Enzo paused by the front door to allow her to put her shoes back on, then the two of them were on their way.

As Enzo drove them back to their cabin, in his car, his brain replayed the scene he had seen moments earlier. Of Damon and Bonnie dancing and how they looked together while doing so. Once again he swallowed down his jealousy, convincing himself it wasn't a big deal. Bonnie was at this time, going home with him right now, in the cabin they had lived together for years, she was going home with him and Enzo told himself that was all that mattered and what really mattered.

The next night.

The sun had set for about an hour, as Bonnie jogged her way through Spring Hill park, which was the local version of New York's Central Park, except on a much smaller scale, to fit into the smaller town.

All of the crowds who had gathered in Spring Hill Park earlier in the day, for the hot weather, had gone home or left since nighttime had fallen. And the park had only a few scattered people around it, who were either night owls, or who were walking or jogging it's trails as Bonnie was currently doing.

She had been jogging on one path of this park for about an half of an hour. And had worked up a good heartbeat and sweat while doing so. She had picked up a good rhythm, with earbuds in her ear, playing the songs she had placed onto her Itune device.

She jogged for about five minutes more, when she came up upon an open area, which had a bunch of wooden benches and picnic tables set up. The area was empty of all people, except for one lone man who sat on one of the wooden benches, under a lamp post. Bonnie did a double take and saw how the man was none other than Damon himself.

Bonnie hadn't expected to see him there, usually when she came to this particular park for a jog, Damon hadn't been there. Yet, here he was now attending Spring Hill Park on this humid summer night.

Slowing down her jog to a walk, Bonnie decided to approach him to see what he was up to. Stepping over the freshly cut grass, which crunched a little under her feet due to how dry it had been over the last few days, she kept her eyes on him as she got closer to the bench he was setting on.

Bonnie saw he had his eyes closed, as if he had drifted off to sleep or was relaxing his eyes. She stood in front of him for a minute, knowing he had heard someone approaching him with his vampire hearing and yet he hadn't opened his eyes.

Sp. Bonnie just took a seat next to him on the bench and waited to see if he realized someone had joined him.

"You know I know it's you, Bon Bon." Damon started in a low whisper.

"How do you know it's me without even opening your eyes?" Bonnie inquired with pursed lips.

"Because I'm an expert at the sound of your heartbeat."

"Hmmm, really?"

He opened one eye, peeking over at her. "I could pick it out, even if you were in a crowd full of a million people."

"Wow, that's….intriguing." Bonnie stated, while on the inside her breath caught on those very words he had just said to her. She could tell he was serious about knowing the sound of her heartbeat and having the ability to deshpier it between many, many people. Which was intimate in a way.

Damon opened his eyes fully. "Hello."

Bonnie eyed him. "Hello, what brings you here to this park?"

"I came here to clear my head, to meditate." His cobalt orbs scanned over her face. "And you?"

"I jog as part of my exercise routine to stay fit. And usually come to this park at least once a week to jog for a mile or two." Bonnie explained. "Yet, it's been so hot lately, making it impossible for me to jog in the daytime without risking a heat stroke."

"It has been a scorcher." Damon looked up towards the night sky.

Bonnie continued. "Which is why I figured to wait until after the sun went down to jog. It's still rather humid, but at least the heat is more tolerable at night time."

Damon laid one arm on the back of the bench. "Smart to wait for night to come."

"And plus it's nicer." Bonnie gestured. "Without the park being as crowded."

"Yep, it's quieter here during this time of night." Damon concurred. "Which is exactly why I am here to meditate."

The two of them sat there on the bench, having a conversation with each other for a few minutes over random subjects.

"Yesterday was a blast." Bonnie pointed out.

"It was!" Damon exclaimed. "Turns out watching movies from the 80s and 90s makes for a good time!"

"Especially the part where we danced to Dirty Dancing."

"Especially that."

Bonnie just stared at him for a minute.

"Yes, Bon?"

"I never thought Damon Salvatore would be the one who would entertain the idea of indulging in Johnny Castle's famous moves." Bonnie mentioned.

"For you." Damon expressed joyfully. "I'd be your Johnny Castle anytime."

Her words wrapped around him like a comforting embrace when she warmly says. "A very lovely endearment for you to make for me!"

His lips curved charmingly. "We should have another movie binge some time."

She agreed with him. "We should, since yesterday was such a blast."

They just stared at each other for a half a minute.

"I'd better be on my way before I get myself off track." She got to her feet. "I'll let you finish your mediating."

"Later." Damon told her.

"Later, Damon."

Leaving him sitting on the bench, Bonnie walked back over to the path she was on, before resuming her jogging exercise. From where he was sitting, Damon observed her until her frame got smaller and smaller, until she disappeared from his gaze. Then he closed his eyes once more to meditate.

As Bonnie continued her jog, she returned to picking up a good rhythm. And was pacing at a steady speed for about ten minutes, as she rounded a bend, in which the path rested between a clump of trees and bushes for about four hundred feet.

The position of the bushes, combined with it being night time made it so that some areas had blind spots. Or others were casted in shadows underneath the lamp posts. The park was still mostly empty at this point. And the few people who were scattered about it, weren't in this more secluded area.

Bonnie rounded the bend, preparing to put her earbuds back in, as she still had about forty minutes left to complete the amount of exercise she wished to get for the night, before going home to the cabin.

As she fiddled with her earbuds, she nearly tripped over an obstacle which was in the path before her. She slowed down, thinking that perhaps a tree branch had fallen into the pathway or something. That was until her eyes adjusted to the sight a short ways in front of her.

On the ground, laying halfway from out of the bushes and halfway onto the paved pathway, was a man. This man whom she recognized as Haden Barnes. A worker at Spring Hills Park, who was responsible for the upkeep of the place. Haden Barnes was currently being incapiated, immobilized by a tall, blond haired man who was dressed in all black.

Even in the darkness, thanks to the light of the lamp post ahead, Bonnie could see how the tall, blond haired man was not an average man. He was a vampire who she had never even seen around Mystic Falls before. It was evident he was a vampire, from how he currently had his fangs buried in the neck of Haden Barnes, whose work uniform was bloodied at the collar from the stranger vampire's assault.

With a gasp, Bonnie jumped backwards, causing a stick to break by her heel with a loud crushing sound.

This stopped the blond vampire from attacking Haden Barnes with his fangs. He whipped his head up, eyes landing in Bonnie's direction.

From his position on the ground, as he crouched over Haden's body, whose name he knew from the name tag on the work uniform, Eric heard a gasp, followed by a crunching sound of a stick. He had whipped up his head to see Bonnie Bennett standing there, looking at him and the scene before her if her heart had jumped into her throat.

At first she seemed startled to discover him feeding on the man known as Haden, however he could see her expression on her face began to quickly shift to fear, fear of him, which isn't what at all he wanted.

For a few long seconds, they stared at each other, Bonnie with the expression of uneasiness and fear. Eric with his 'whoops, sorry, I messed up' expression. He maneuvered to his full '6 "4 height.

And the height of this man, along with the shadows casted upon his features by the light ahead, combined with Haden Barne's blood dripping down his chin and fangs, made this vampire seem even more threatening and terrorizing to Bonnie.

Eric saw the reaction of fright on her face and supposed he couldn't fault her for responding with shocked trepidation to the scene she had wandered upon. Taken out of context, he must have looked like some blood thristing vampire who was viciously feeding on an innocent, unsuspecting victim. And due to how she had taken his feeding on Haden out of context, she now had reason to believe he would now attack or harm her in the way he had the man who now laid at his feet.

He obviously knew he didn't come here tonight to cause her harm. And knew about the motives and reasonings for why he was standing before her now, yet she didn't know. And since she didn't know, again he couldn't fault her for her initial reaction, although he hoped to calm her down to make her see he wasn't a threat to her.

On hindsight, Eric guessed he should have just chucked Haden over his shoulder, vampire speeding him out of the way, before Bonnie rounded the bend on her exercise routine. Then she would have never known he was there and would never have witnessed him with his fangs buried in the neck of the man, in his Spring Hill Park uniform.

But, then on the other hand Eric had seen the man in the Park uniform, who was called Haden, preparing to invade Bonnie Bennett's space, with a garden tool in his hand, and with obvious ill will to use that garden tool to cause physical damage to Bonnie. And because she was Autumn's future mother, he had become infuriated with what he had seen.

Unbeknownst to either Damon Salvatore or Bonnie Bennett, Eric had been here at this park on this summer night to keep an eye on them. He kept a watchful gaze on them from a distance, with enough range so they wouldn't even realize he was there. Yet still observed them from the shadows, just in case of Skyler Parker showing up out of the blue, to attempt to complete her mission of executing their lives.

Because if she had shown up, Eric would be ready to intervene to prevent any attempts on the lives of Autumn's future parents and his future love. He waited to see if Skyler Parker would show her face, yet she hadn't.

However, just when Eric figured that he could relax for the night, he picked up on the suspicious behavior of the man in the park uniform called Haden. When Bonnie had arrived on the beginning of the path she was currently jogging on, Eric had observed from a distance. Keeping an eye out for any person who seemed to have ill will or intentions towards her.

Which allowed him to notice Haden, at first Eric thought nothing of him, then he took notice of Haden's body language when Bonnie Bennett had passed by him. He saw how Haden stared her down, and it wasn't a harmless or flattering stare either. From Eric's experience, he knew the look of a man who was up to no good. And Haden was up to no good.

In fact Haden eyed Bonnie like a predator eyed its prey before pouncing. Or eyed her like a murderer would eye their victim before going in for the kill. Bonnie had not picked up on Haden's behavior, because it was subtle, and also because she wasn't paying attention, focusing on her jogging, while music from her Itune device played in her ears.

Yet, Eric picked up on it, saw Haden grab a tool out of the tool shed and began to follow Bonnie. It didn't take him long to figure out that this man intended to use the tool as a weapon to do damage to her, he suspected for some reason of this man being connected to Skyler Parker. His instincts told him that this was the unhinged wench's first attempt on Bonnie's life through this man.

As she jogged, Haden would follow Bonnie at a certain pace, a few feet before her, speed walking with the tool in his hand. And the few people left in the park would think nothing of it, as they would believe him to be attending to some night shift duties, since he was in his park uniform. They would not see him as a potential attacker towards her.

Eric knew better though, he could see through this man and knew the man was just standing by for the perfect moment to use the garden tool on Bonnie. So as Haden followed Bonnie, Eric followed Haden. Watching as he stalked her, getting ready to intervene the very minute he made any attempts on her life.

It was as if Haden were waiting on her to jog into a more secluded area, before hitting her with the tool he had clutched on his hands. There was about five to ten minutes in which Bonnie took a detour to go and join Damon Salvatore on the bench to speak with him.

During which Haden had just looked in their direction blankly for a few minutes, before looking around, then continuing ahead on the path, while Bonnie was on the bench speaking with Damon.

Suspicious of the man's movements, Eric tracked Haden through the park, into an area where there were bushes and trees aligning the paved pathway, which the park's visitors used to walk, jog, or ride their bikes on. Eric saw Haden obscure himself behind some trees. And knew Haden was waiting for Bonnie to continue her jog, in order to jump out of the bushes at her, to attack her with the garden tool he had acquired.

This man Haden was no doubt set on the idea of beating Bonnie Bennett to death, Eric then had visions of Autumn perishing away due to the butterfly effect of Bonnie's beaten corpse, having an impact on the future. He had a vision of losing Autumn, the woman he cherished more than the meaning of life itself. And Eric was set off. Just as he heard Bonnie's footsteps approaching, and just as Haden got into the stance, preparing to bombard Bonnie Bennett, Eric pounced first.

On the impulse of his emotion, he pounced on Haden, tearing his fangs into the man's throat, too from him of course in his plot to attack Autumn's mother. Haden had dropped the garden tool to the ground, in the effort to fight Eric off. But, of course the Viking vampire was far too strong for him. He just proceeded to take Haden down to the ground, when Bonnie had run up onto the scene.

And now Autumn's future mother eyed him as if he were some sort of rabid, untrustworthy animal of whom was about to maul her. He could see the scream bubbling up inside of her.

"Whoa." Eric drew his fangs into his gums. Attempting to smooth the treidipation she had reacted towards him with, "Easy there."

From Bonnie's perspective, this tall vampire had just nearly ripped the throat out of Haden Barnes and he planned on assaulting her next. So, Bonnie did one of the first things that had come to her mind. She let out an ear piercing scream.

Out of sight from where this scene was playing out, Damon, still in the picnic area, had reached the end of his meditation process, so he stood from the bench, getting ready to call it a night for himself and head back home to the boarding house.

However, just as he took a few steps towards the direction of the parking lot, he heard a scream which chilled him to the bone. Because it wasn't just a random person screaming, it was Bonnie's scream. And she had made the sound in the fashion in which a person screamed either due to their lives being threatened, being attacked, in danger, or immensely afraid of something or someone that was attempting to harm or kill them.

And being the man who had a very fierce, protective nature when it came to Bonnie, Damon rushed in the direction of where he heard her voice coming from. Preparing to rip to shreds who and whatever caused her to scream like that. As he would kill and slaughter those who hurt, harmed, or even dared to lay a finger on the witch. Hurting Bonnie Bennett was the number one way in which anyone could get on Damon Salvatore's bad side. So, he ran to Bonnie's aid, preparing to end the life of her attacker if he needed to.

Eric held up his hands in surrender. "Don't be…"

"Stay away from me." Bonnie warned him in a firm tone.

"Sca…" Eric tried to finish the sentence as he took a step towards her.

Bonnie interrupted him by using her magical force to inflict an aneurysm upon him.

Eric yelled out in pain as the blood vessels in his head started to pop. He fell to his knees grasping at the sides of his head.

"I said, stay back." Bonnie gritted her teeth as she continued her magical defense attack against this vampire who she never saw before, yet who she thought wanted to make her his next meal.

"Stop. please." Eric called out in agony.

Then a few seconds later, Damon arrived on the scene, he studied what was happening before him. The park worker known around town as Haden Barnes, laid on the ground which vampire bite marks in his neck, a blond vampire, dressed in all black, who Damon didn't recognize or know, was on his knees, clutching his head as Bonnie was making his blood vessels go pop.

And the vampire had blood dripping down his chin. Damon's eyes dodged back and forth between Bonnie and this stranger vampire. "What's going on?"

"I was jogging." Bonnie's green eyes half way widened. "And I ran up on this vampire attacking Haden Barnes, now he may have been preparing to pounce on me too so…"

"No, I wasn't." Eric started to say through the pain.

Damon, taking the scene out of context much like Bonnie had, saw the strange tall vampire dressed in all black as threatening her life and well being. He took a step towards the vampire, even though this vampire was taller than he was.

The agony in Eric's head stopped, as Bonnie mercifully decided to stop her aneurysm magical defense on him. But Eric then was bum rushed by Damon, who tackled him to the ground. Damon then yanked up Eric by his collar.

"Don't you dare lay one fucking hand on her or I'll rip out your fucking heart." Damon bellowed out with ice and fury in his tone.

"You misunderstood and misjudged my intentions." Eric returned, his with his palms still facing outwards to show he met no harm.

"Then why were you attacking this man?" Bonnie asked about Haden who was still on the ground. "And how am I supposed to trust you wouldn't have attacked me next?"

"Explain yourself." Damon demanded. "You were going to assault her next, cause her harm, because I swear if you were…"

"I wasn't planning to cause her harm or hurt her in any manner." Eric said to Damon, before directing this next part at Bonnie. "I was saving you, protecting you."

Bonnie frowned. "What?"

Eric jerked his head towards Haden. "From him, he followed you, then intended to ambush and attack you."

Damon rebuffed. "Why should we believe you?"

"Haden Barnes never showed intentions to wish me harm before." Bonnie seemed to be in disbelief of this blond vampire's claims. "Why would all of a sudden wish to ambush me tonight?"

"Bonnie, Damon." Eric pleaded. "The both of you must listen to me."

"How do you know our names?" Bonnie narrowed her eyes.

"We never met you before in our lives." Damon raised his voice as he demanded to know. "What the fuck is your game."

Taking a half a step forward, Bonnie questioned the tall vampire. "Who are you?"

"My name is Eric Northman." The Viking vampire replied. "And I have a dire warning for the two of you, just give me some time to hear me out."

Damon stayed hovered over Eric, not sure if he could really trust this man's claims. He gazed over at Bonnie to see what she wanted to do.

Bonnie paused, studying the vampire who she now knew as Eric Northman. At first she viewed him as a threat, then considered what if she had panicked or misread the situation she had jogged up on, when Eric Northman had his fangs buried in Haden Barnes neck.

This Eric Northman had said he had a dire warning for her and Damon, she wanted to know what exactly this so called dire warning was.

"Let him speak for a minute." Bonnie directed at Damon.

Damon released Eric's collar and moved back to stand to his feet. Yet, he did keep up his guard around this Eric Northman. Not ready to fully trust him or his word, especially when it came to Bonnie's safety. Damon was prepared to defend her to the death, if Eric Northman made one wrong move towards her.

"Tell us about this dire warning of yours." Damon barked.

Gathering himself to his feet, Eric dusted himself off.

"Well?" Bonnie warily crossed her arms over her chest, much like Damon her guard was up due to Eric Northman.

"As I said." Eric began his explanation. "This Haden was waiting to ambush you, he wanted to bludgeon you to death with a garden tool. What you just witnessed me doing to him, was me subduing him to prevent that from happening."

"I don't understand at all." Bonnie shook her head incredulity. "I've never done anything to Haden Barnes in my life, don't even know him on a personal level."

Skepticism filled Damon also. "So this kid decides he just suddenly wants to go after Bonnie for no reason at all?"

Eric points towards the ground. "See the garden tool there, he was lurking in the bushes getting ready to beat her to death with it. I had to stop him from carrying out his ill willed intentions."

Both Damon and Bonnie saw a halfway unconscious, but not dead Haden laying on the ground, weakened from the blood Eric had taken from him. And a few feet away from him laid a garden hoe.

Damon began to connect the dots, as did Bonnie. Had Haden Barnes really been waiting on the path she was jogging on to attack her with the garden hoe. Was Eric Northman telling the truth after all.

"What for?" Bonnie needed more answers. "Why would he be motivated to kill me?"

"My instinct, my gut tells me that this man was ordered or sent to take your life by a woman." Eric directed at Bonnie. "A very unstable, unhinged woman. I don't know where she is, or where she is hiding, what I do know is that she sent Haden Barnes after you in hopes he would be able to complete her mission to end your life."

"Woman?" Damon spoke up. "Who is this woman you're talking about, the one who you say sent Haden after Bonnie?"

Eric shifted his attention towards Damon. "Skyler Parker, her name is Skyler Parker."

Both the Bennett Witch and the Salvatore vampire were alerted upon hearing the surname 'Parker.'

"Parker?" Damon muttered. "As in the Gemini Coven Parker?"

"Yes, yes exactly." Nodded Eric.

"We never heard of any Skyler Parker belonging to the Gemini Coven neither as family members or as a part of the immediate Parker sibling clan." Bonnie mentioned in confusion.

"She's not a blood relative or a sibling who belongs to the Gemini Coven." Eric elucidated. "She's Kai Parker's wife."

Damon and Bonnie exchanged glances of disbelief, Kai had never mentioned having a wife in the prison world and they were pretty sure that he didn't have time to meet or marry any woman between the time he escaped 1994, then 1903 and Damon killing him.

Bonnie denied. "Can't be, I witnessed his death with my own two eyes, Kai Parker is dead."

Damon scoffed. "Hell right he is, I was the one who chopped his head clean off of his shoulders, separating his head from his body. I killed the bastard, so how in the world could a dead man have a wife."

Eric rambled out. "Because Kai Parker didn't stay dead."

The seriousness in Eric Northman's tone, had Bonnie tensing up at the thought of her tormentor not being dead anymore. "Are you saying Kai Parker is now alive?"

"Correct." Eric confirmed. "I'm saying Kai Parker is alive or more like was.."

"Impossible." Bonnie felt a pit of dread in her stomach upon learning about the possibility of the sociopath who had caused her PTSD and almost to kill herself being alive once more.

"Simply can not be. That psychopath isn't alive." Damon's tone filled with alarm. He witnessed the aftermath of the hell Kai put Bonnie through. Saw how hard it was for her to heal and began to move past the agony and torment he placed her through. So it bothered him on an immense level to think about the possibility of Kai being alive.

Eric clarified further. "Kai Parker at one point was brought back to life by Skyler Parker, who is a sorceress she used her sorcery to bring him back from the dead. She ended up marrying him. Then in the future about twenty seven years from now, he dies again."

"Excuse me," Bonnie pressed a hand to her forehead. "Did you say twenty seven years from now?"

"I did say twenty seven years from now." Eric confirmed.

"How does that psychopath bastard die again then?" Damon asked, taken aback as tall Eric Northman was telling them.

Eric spoke these words to Damon. "The psychopath bastard dies again due to Bonnie over there, There '''s this big encounter where the two of them clash, she ends up killing and defeating him in a rather epic manner. Which brings us back to Skyler Parker and why she sent this Haden after her to end her life."

"Turns out Skyler became crazed with anger over her husband's death, turns out she couldn't accept her husband's death. In her unstable state, she blames Bonnie. And decided to send herself back in time to seek vengeance on Bonnie for ending Kai Parker's life. Skyler used her sorcery to send herself back twenty years to where we currently are in 2017. She sent herself back on a mission for revenge against the person who took her husband away and she's not going to step until she succeeds."

"And she not only wishes to get violent vengance upon Bonnie, she wants to reset thing so to speak and figured by going into the past to murder her, she could get the psychopath bastard as you call him back in the future. Yet, Bonnie isn't the only one she has her sights set on in her vendetta scheme. She wants to kill you as well, as she isn't at all happy with you for decapitating her husband in the first place. Also she knows you'll get in the way of any of her attempts to murder Bonnie, therefore I wouldn't be at all shocked to see if she'll make an attempt on your life as well." Eric finished explaining to Damon.

Both Damon and Bonnie were flabbergasted by this revelation.

Eric continued to the both of them. "Which is where I come in, I'm from the future twenty seven years just like Skyler Parker is, I was sent back through a time traveling spell to give you both this dire warning. Your lives are in danger by this unstable woman and you need to know in order to prepare to defend yourselves."

Bonnie shifted on her feet. "How did you get sent back into the past...present here where we are by twenty seven years? You're a vampire who doesn't have magic."

"No, I don't have magic." Eric directed at her. "You sent me back….well the future version of yourself does with a time traveling spell. To warn your 2017 and Damon's 2018 selves about Skyler Parker, so you wouldn't be caught off guard by her attacks. And I'm here to make sure she doesn't succeed in killing either of you."

"Wow." Bonnie let out a deep breath.

"You can say that again." Damon inhaled deeply.

"Shocking I know, but I'm telling the truth." Eric said.

Damon and Bonnie exchanged another glance, both astonished over Eric Northman's claims. Both overcome by what they had heard, both caught off guard and bewildered by this news, while at the same time they were somewhat hesitant and doubtful as to whether or not they should believe it all. Or what they should do if it were true. Their thoughts filled with a number of emotions and questions, as their minds struggled to process all they had heard from Northman.

Eric could see how they seemed hesitant or doubted what he had told them, after all he was a stranger to them in this timeline and understood why they would be hesitant about believing him with the craziness behind the story he had just told. Yet still he had to convince them.

"Look, I know that all of this must be overwhelming for you to learn and hear. And I know it has to be difficult for the two of you to wrap your minds around. But, you're going to have to trust and believe me. Because if you don't and Skyler Parker succeeds in her mission, either one or both of you will die." Eric remarked frantically. "Which means she'll die and I can't let that happen."

"She'll die?" Bonnie was even more bewildered now.

Eric shifted his eyes over to Bonnie.

"Who is this she you're speaking of?" Bonnie questioned.

Eric looked her in the eyes with one hundred percent sincerity and said. "Your daughter."

Author's Note: Now that Eric Northman and Skyler Parker arrived in 2017, events in the 2017 year and timeline will alter and divert from how they played out or developed in the Original timeline. For example, in the original 2017 timeline, Bonnie completed her jog without incident. Yet everything will develop differently for them in 2017, now that they have met Eric and he has warned them. This of course will have an impact on all of the current relationships going on in 2017. Yet the result will still be Bamon ending up together of course.
