Chapter 6
Gotham:
Selina Kyle, even after some time she still look good of course she did have some small wrinkles on her face, but they were not that noticeable at all. She was wearing black leather catsuit with the whip around her waist and wearing red lip stick.
"Bruce, always good to see I wish it was under better circumstances" Selina said walking up to him and taking his hand in her
"Selina what are you doing here and how did you find me" He said looking down at their hands that were still connected.
"You are the only thing people in the league are talking about" she said "I knew it was only a matter of time before you came to visit Gotham" Selina told him as she faces the city you own lived in.
"They let you into the league" Bruce said stunned to learn that the League let his former love into the superhero team.
"After you left, I did all I can to protect this city but, in the end, nobody feared my like they did you this city became a lost cause the no one can fix." She spoke looking away from him because she was ashamed of failing the city he cared so much about.
Bruce laid a hand on her shoulder and said to her "You tired you best to say a city most people gave up; you should be proud of yourself" he looked at before looking back to the city making a promise that when he got back to the past, he will make sure the city does not end up like this.
"Let us head back to the watchtower" she said "I am sure a hungry from traveling five years into the future" Bruce though about how it has been a while since he ate or rest as Selina took his hand to lead the way.
Watchtower:
They were in the lunchroom it was not that busy considering that it was past midnight, and most people were asleep. Bruce was not paying that much to what Selina saying he was too busy thinking about everything that was happening.
"So, what do you say" Selina said looking at him, but seeing the reaction on his face she knew he did not here a word she said so she repeated herself "I said you look tired you should rest in my room for the night"
"Selina, I don't know I think that is a bad idea I am still married even if it may not seem like it" Bruce told her.
Selina grabs his hand and squeeze it and said, "Well she is not here and is dating someone else" she said while leaning in closer to Bruce until their faces were inches apart "No one even has to know you are in their with me" She was about to kiss him when she heard a voice
"Bruce" said the female voice both Bruce and Selina saw Diana standing there she walked up to their table and said, "Bruce can I speak to you in private" She said as she glared daggers at Selina
Bruce followed Diana out into the hallways to an area where they could be alone at first neither of the said anything or looked at each other until Diana spoke up "I wanted the invite to a party I am throwing in Honor of a new peace treaty that just past" she said as she handed him the card
"Diana, I don't know if that will be a good idea, to the world I am dead" he said looking down at the invite card
"Please, Bruce it will mean a lot to me if you are there" she said taking his hand in hers giving him a look that says she really missed him.
"Ok" Bruce said as he walked away looking for any place just to rest his head.
