Josh and Kiara smiled as the two of them saw many different Legendary Pokémon.
I choose you
Josh and Kiara were standing in a grassy field looking up at the sky.
Josh and Kiara got off the train and exit the train station at Wedgehurst. Sonia smiled when she saw Josh and Kiara. "Hi Josh and Kiara." she greeted them. "How was the ride?"
"It was good, thank you." Kiara thanked her. "Josh and I saw several different Pokémon we never seen that resides here in Galar."
"Nice." Sonia said.
"How far is it to your grandmother's house?" Josh asks her.
"Not far." Sonia said. Sonia led them to her grandmother's laboratory. Standing in front of the lab was an elderly woman. She was wearing glasses, a white lab coat with her yellow dress underneath, white shoes and a cane with a small bird Pokémon.
"Hi grandma." Sonia greeted her. "This is Josh and Kiara."
"It's nice to meet you." Professor Magnolia said to Josh and Kiara. The professor led them all inside the house and Josh and Kiara sat down on the couch as the professor sits down in an armchair as Sonia was in the kitchen getting drinks. Scorbunny and Sobble was sitting next to each other in between Josh and Kiara while Charizard, Gardevoir and Lucario were sitting on the floor.
"Let's get down to business." Professor Magnolia said.
"Right." Josh nodded. "We came here to the Galar Region to stop Team Delta and learn more about Dynamax and Gigantamax."
"Not to mention why the Raven Pokémon attacked." Kiara added.
Sonia brought a tray of a few drinks and biscuits to them and set it on the table before leaving the room.
"I see." Professor Magnolia said. "There are many things we still don't know, but we do know there's a special power that only exists here in Galar that s linked to the Dynamax Phenomenon."
"What's the name of this special power?" Josh asked.
"Galar Particles." the old professor answered. "Have you two ever seen Pokémon Dynamax or Gigantamax in the Wild Area besides the one you encountered in Alola?"
"No." Kiara replied.
"Garlar Particles are found in the red lights that are released from special Power Spots." Professor Magnolia explains. "It brings forth power from within the Pokémon and Dynamax."
Josh takes out Charizard's Poké Ball and stares at it. "Hm..." Josh muttered.
"And further research has revealed that the Wishing Stars falling from the sky likewise contain Galar Particles." she continued. "Wishing Stars are capable of attracting and drawing in Galar Particles. I thought that making use of that capability should enable to control the the gigantification of Pokémon, and so I cooperated with Chairman Rose from Marco Cosmos, and together we developed the Dynamax Bands."
"That sounds interesting." Kiara said. "But how come Pokémon only grow giant here in the Wild Area?"
"The Power Spots." Professor Magnolia answered. "You can only Dynamax at Power Spots. The Galar Particle contain much potential. Together, Chairman Rose and I researched how to turn that power into energy. But..."
"He had other plans instead, right?" Josh asked, looking up at her.
"You're correct." she answered. "But there is something I'm curious about."
"What is it?" Kiara asked.
"Professor Cerise told me a Gigantamax Corviknight appeared at the Alola League." the professor answered. "And your Charizard Gigantamax too after receiving two objects and seeing two shadowy figures. Why was there a Power Spot in the Alola Region?"
"Team Delta have something to with this." Josh replied. "But Kiara and I don't know who the two shadowy figures were."
"Do you still have the two objects with you?" the professor asks him.
Josh takes out the two objects and places them on the table. The first object was a purple meteor with red lines and the second object was a band.
"A Wishing Star and a Power Band." Professor Magnolia said, looking at them. "The Wishing Stars has been said to fall into the hands of those who bear earnest wishes."
"I was wondering about something." Josh said.
"About what?" Kiara asked.
"I was wondering if the Wishing Star and the Dynamax Band were left from the two shadowy figures." Josh wondered. "And Lucia and Emma met two shadowy figures as well."
"Are you saying that it may be the same ones from Alola?" Kiara asked.
"It's possible." Josh shrugs his shoulders.
"Whoever they are, we have to keep our guard up." Kiara replied.
"I'll have my granddaughter to have this Wishing Star into a Dynamax Band." the professor said, picking up the Wishing Star.
"Kiara, you should have the Dynamax Band." Josh said to her.
"Thank you, Josh." Kiara smiled, picking up the Dynamax Band and putting on her right wrist.
"While you wait for your Dynamax Band, there are some Pokémon you can catch on Route One and Route Two." Professor Magnolia said.
"Sounds good to me." Josh smiled. The two trainers stood up and left the room with their Pokémon.
They found themselves standing at the edge of town on Route One. The two trainers and their Pokémon began walking on Route One. Josh notices two Pokémon walking on Route One. They were both ovine Pokémon with a thick coat of white wool that makes it look spherical. Its small, black head pokes out of the front of the wool, along with two short horns. The eyes have yellow sclerae, black irises, and white, horizontal pupils. Two large ears are visible behind gray strings of wool that resemble braided pigtails. Its hooved legs are short and mostly hidden by the wool, along with a tail that is barely visible on its rear end.
"Who's this Pokémon?" Josh wondered, taking out his Poké Dex.
"Wooloo, the Sheep Pokémon." the Poké Dex said.
"Interesting." Josh said.
The two Wooloo notices them and began to roll away on either side of the road.
"Let's go, Scorbunny and Charizard." Josh said, running after the first Wooloo as Kiara, Gardevoir and Sobble went after the second Wooloo.
Wooloo kept on rolling and went around a tree to hide from them.
Josh, Scorbunny and Charizard made it to the tree.
"I'm sure its around here somewhere." Josh said. As he was distracted, Wooloo poke its head from the side and notices Charizard.
"Wooloo!" Wooloo growls, trying to imitate Charizard.
They all heard the growl and notices Wooloo behind the tree.
"Scorbunny!" Scorbunny shouted as he attempts to attack.
Wooloo simply dodge the attack by rolling to the side to avoid the attack and tackles Scorbunny.
"Scor!" Scorbunny grunted as he was hit.
"Quick, use Growl!"
Scorbunny growls at Wooloo to lower his attack and Wooloo did the same.
"And now use Tackle." Josh ordered.
"Scor!" Scorbunny shouted, tackling Wooloo.
The attack sent Wooloo rolling into the tree, knocking it out.
"Go, Poké Ball!" Josh shouted, throwing the Poké Ball.
Wooloo transforms into red energy and went inside the Poké Ball. The sphere shakes three times and stops.
"Alright, I caught Wooloo!" Josh smiled and picks up the sphere before taking out his Poké Dex.
"Wooloo's data will be added to the Poké Dex." the phone said.
"Come on out, Wooloo!" Josh shouted, tossing the Poké Ball and Wooloo appeared in front of them.
"Wooloo!" Wooloo smiled. She let out a small grunt.
Josh had a Potion ready and sprays the Potion on Wooloo's injuries. The Sheep Pokémon was feeling better. Wooloo looks at Charizard as the Flame Pokémon looks back at her.
"Wooloo." Wooloo said, imitating Charizard's face.
"Zard?" Charizard asked confused.
The Sheep Pokémon hops onto a boulder.
"Wooloo!" Wooloo shouts, jumping into the air and landed in front of Charizard.
"Looks like Wooloo is trying to be you, Charizard." Josh said. "What do you think, Scorbunny?"
"Scorbunny." Scorbunny nodded.
"We should find Kiara and that other Wooloo." Josh suggested.
"Wooloo!" she cheered and began rolling back the way they came.
It took them several minutes to find Kiara and found her sitting with Gardevoir as Sobble and Wooloo was chasing each other around. But there was two Pokémon that Josh didn't recognize. The first one is a insectoid Pokémon. It has five body segments and is covered in sensitive setae that it uses to collect information about its environment. The dorsal half of its ovular head is a dark blue, and the ventral half is beige. Its large, reflective eyes resemble glasses. It has a small mouth and eyebrow-like markings that give it a perpetually surprised expression.
It's second body segment is the same shade of blue as the top of its head, and resembles a collar. The third segment is thinner than the first two, and the two consecutive segments are thicker. Its last three segments are white, yellow, and blue respectively. It has two legs on both its third and fourth body segment; and it also has tufts of setae on its head, collar, and posterior. The setae on its collar are yellow and resemble a bow tie.
The second one was a squirrel-like Pokémon. It is grayish-brown in color, with a large fluffy tail, which is dark-grayish-brown at the top. It has a light-grayish-brown underbelly, and the color extends to its mouth and parts of its cheeks. Its cheeks are normally stuffed with berries. It has two orange freckles underneath each eye and an orange nose. Its ears are similar in color to its tail, and they have orange insides.
The two Pokémon notices Josh.
"Blip!" it alerted Kiara.
Kiara turns around and smiled when she saw him and his Pokémon. "Did you catch this Wooloo too?" Kiara asks him.
"That's right." Josh answered and sits down next to her. "By the way, who are these two Pokémon?"
"The first Pokémon that alerted me was Blipbug." Kiara said, looking at Blipbug then turn to look at the squirrel. "And this one here is Skovet."
"Skovet." Skovet smiled.
"Nice to meet you." Josh said.
"Look." Lucario said.
Josh saw a wild Skovet and a wild Blipbug walking through the field. He takes out two Poké Balls and throws the two spheres at the two Pokémon. Both Pokémon were transformed into red energy and went inside the Poké Balls. The Poké Balls stops shaking and Josh walks over and picks them up.
"Come on out!" Josh called out, tossing the Poké Balls and his Blipbug and Skovet appeared.
"Blipbug!" she smiled.
"Skovet!" he smiled.
"Blipbug's data will be added to the Poké Dex. Skovet's data will be added to the Poké Dex."
The two Pokémon that Josh caught notices the other two that Kiara caught and quickly became friends. Josh and Kiara smiled as Scorbunny and the two Skovet was playing around with the two Wooloo.
"Let's head over to Route 2." Kiara suggested.
"Before you do, we head back to the lab and see if the band is done." Lucario reminded them.
They all agreed and headed back to the lab. When they came back to the lab, Sonia was still working on the band. Kiara suggested to head on to Route 2. Before leaving for Route 2, Josh and Kiara went to the Pokémon Center and transferred the Pokémon to Mike except Blipbug. After transferring some Pokémon, Josh and Kiara headed over o Route 2. The two trainers found a nice spot near the river and decided to have some lunch.
It only took Josh and Kiara several minutes to set up the table. Josh made sure to give some Pokémon to the food while Kiara was setting their food on the table. While everyone was eating their food, Josh was about to grab another scone.
"What the hell?" Josh wondered, looking at the place where the scone was.
"What is it, Josh?" Kiara asks him, drinking her water.
"The scone is missing." Josh answered her, pointing to the spot.
"Are you sure you didn't eat it?"
"Yes." Josh replied.
"Zard!"
"Bunny!"
Kiara turns her head around and notices Scorbunny and Charizard's bowl of food is missing. "What happened?" Kiara asks them. "And where's Lucario?"
Two Pokémon jumps out of the bush with Lucario chasing them. The two Pokémon jumps over the table thinking they got away from the Aura Pokémon. However, Lucario jumps much farther and landed in front of the two Pokémon. They were orange-maroon fox-like Pokémon with a slender body and a large head relative to its body size. It has long, black ears, white spots on its head that resemble eyebrows, and small dots around its eyes that gives the appearance of tears and mask-like markings around its yellow eyes. They also have tufts of furs on both sides of its head. It has a white belly and chest, its feet are black, and its tail is long with a black tip resembling a sack.
"I wonder who these Pokémon are." Josh wondered, taking out the Poké Dex.
"Nickit, the Fox Pokémon. A Dark type. Nickit likes to steal food that other Pokémon have found. It uses its fluffy tail to erase any footprints it leaves behind."
"Hey, what does Nickit have in its mouth?" Kiara asked, notices something in the Fox Pokémon's mouth.
It was holding a scone.
"Nicit has a scone in its mouth." Josh answered. "It must've taken the scone when we were eating and covered its footprints that it leaves behind."
"Don't take things that belong to you." Luario said to the two Nicket. He was holding a couple of apples. "Have these instead." The Aura Pokémon places the two apples on the ground.
The Fox Pokémon puts the scone down and picks up the apple.
"Nicket!" the other Nicket called to the sky.
A Pokémon was flying towards them from a tree. It is a small, birdlike Pokémon that is primarily dark blue, including its wings, tail, back and part of its head. The lower part of its body and chest is yellow and has a black part that begins from under its wings to its face, from which feathers protrude over its head, giving it a mask-like appearance. It has red eyes and small gray feet and legs.
"Roodie!" it chirps, flying towards them.
"Who's this Pokémon?" Josh wondered, looking at his Poké Dex.
"Rookidee, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. It will bravely challenge any opponent, no matter how powerful. This Pokémon benefits from every battle—even a defeat increases its strength a bit. Jumping nimbly about, this small-bodied Pokémon takes advantage of even the slightest opportunity to disorient larger opponents."
"Interesting." Josh said.
"Rookidee." Rookidee said with a worried look to the two Fox Pokémon. "Dee Dee Roo."
The two Fox Pokémon nodded and one of them picks up the apple and both Nicket left. The Tiny Bird Pokémon looks up at them. "Rookidee Ro Dee." it said to them.
"Rookidee wants us to follow them." Gardevoir said.
"Let's go." Josh said to Kiara.
Meanwhile, a Rookidee was looking at an injured Pokémon. This is a quadrupedal, canine Pokémon. It has a brown body with yellow fluff around its neck, resembling a collar, and yellow highlights around its eyes. It has a yellow bolt-shaped tail and a heart-shaped pattern on its rear. Its four feet are white. The ears have a light green and yellow color on the inside. It also has a small yellow nose.
"Yam... Per..." it said, weakly.
Another Yamper was sitting next to the injured Yamper, worried. Hearing some footsteps behind them, the second Yamper turns around and sees the two Nicket and Roodie, followed by several Pokémon with two humans.
"Yam Yamper!" Yamper barks at the strangers. Yamper quickly runs past its friends and attempts to attack Josh in the stomach with a Tackle. Josh quickly reacted by stopping Yamper's Tackle with two hands, surprising the second Yamper. The second Yamper backs away several feet and growls at them.
"Now what the hell was that about?" Josh asks it angrily.
"Josh, look, there's a injured Yamper behind it." Kiara pointed out.
Josh looks over at the injured Yamper and she was right. But he sees that the injured Pokémon was breathing weakly and covered in many cuts and bruises. "We need to take Yamper to the Pokémon Center." Josh said to her. He looks down at the growling Yamper and kneels down. "Yamper, we're going to need bring your injured friend to a Pokémon Center so it can be healed and get better. Trust me."
The second Yamper looks over at its friend before looking back at Josh and nodded. Nicket sets the apple down to the injured Yamper.
"Yamper is too weak to eat, Nicket." Kiara said to Nicket as Josh walks over and puts on a green blanket over the injured Yamper.
Josh picks up the injured Puppy Pokémon and nodded to Kiara. He hops on Charizard's back and Charizard flew back to the town. "Hang on, Yamper." Josh said to it.
"Nurse Joy!" Josh yelled, rushing inside the Pokémon Center.
"What happened?" Nurse Joy asked.
"It's Yamper." Josh said, showing the injured puppy in his arms.
"Oh my!" Nurse Joy exclaims. "Indeedee!"
Two dark purple and white bipedal Pokémon came rushing to her side. Both forms have white faces, rounded heads and pear-shaped bodies and white hands and feet with three digits on each of them. The male have upward turned spiral horns, blue markings in-between its eyes, a generally more navy body and more white around the legs. And the female have downward turned spiral horns, pink markings above its eyes, a more white body and darker legs.
"Bring Yamper to one of the rooms." Nurse Joy instructed the Indeedee. Josh hands over Yamper to Indeedee and the nurse looks at him. "How did Yamper end up like that?"
"I'm not sure." Josh answered her. "Kiara and I were having lunch until a couple of Nicket and a Roodie wanted us to follow them and led us to the injured Yamper as another Yamper and Roodie was worried."
"I see." Nurse Joy said. "We'll have Yamper healed in no time."
Josh was sitting in chair as Charizard stood besides him. Kiara and the other Pokémon were walking up to them.
"How's Yamper doing?" Kiara asks him.
"Nurse Joy is still working on Yamper." Josh answered her.
The ER doors open as Nurse Joy was walking with Yamper on a stretcher. "Yamper has made a complete recovery." she announced.
"Good." Josh smiled as Yamper jumps down onto the floor. "How are you feeling Yamper?"
"Yamper." Yamper thanked. "Yamp Yamper."
"It seems that Yamper and the other Pokémon wants to join us." Lucario said.
"Alright." Josh said, taking out three Poké Balls and tossing them over at Yamper, Nicket and Rookidee. The three Pokémon transforms into red energy and went inside the Poké Balls as Kiara did the same thing. The Poké Balls stops shaking and a couple of them were transported to Mike's lab.
Josh and Kiara returns to the lab.
"Here's your Dynamax Band." Sonia said, giving the band to Josh. He puts it on his right wrist. "Now you can be able to Dynamax your Pokémon."
"Thank you." Josh said. "This should even out the odds in our favor."
"Why don't you guys spend the night here?" Sonia suggested.
Josh and Kiara smiled at that. After enjoying a nice meal at the Research Lab, Sonia showed them the room they'll be sleeping in. The room was pretty big. The two beds was at the wall with a tv across from it and there was a door at the far corner that led to the bathroom. Josh was wearing blue pajama's as Kiara came out of the bathroom with dark purple pajama's. She notices that Josh was already asleep.
"Did it resurface?" Kiara asks Garedvoir softly.
"No." Gardevoir answered. "The Dark Spirit hasn't resurface."
"Then let's keep it that way." Kiara said, looking at Josh with a worried look. She played a bit of his hair and went to her own bed.
Josh and Kiara have captured new Pokémon and became friends. What will tomorrow bring?
