House of Curses:
Fabian just told the club if they open the Ankh that they may release a curse.
"Curse? What kind of curse?" Asked Amber
"According to the manuscript if we open the Ankh there is chance that the curse of Pharoah can be released," said Fabian
"The Curse of the Pharoah! And that curse will be released when we open the Ankh?" Asked Amber.
"Amber calm down", said Aaron.
"Calm down! I'm not gonna calm down knowing that the curse of Pharoah is going be released if we open the Ankh," said Amber.
"Amber the curse doesn't have to be released," said Nina.
"Yeah. And curses don't exist," said Fabian.
"Do you really think so? After all we've been through in this house," said Amber.
"She has got a point there," said Patricia.
"Come on guys if we wanna find the love tomb we gotta do this", said Fabian.
"Okay suppose we do it? How then should we open the Ankh?" Asked Aaron.
"For that is we use the combination for puzzle box," said Fabian.
"But we tried every combination and we couldn't open the puzzle box," said Nina.
"Yes, but the Ankh was not whole then. Now the combination I found should work," said Fabian.
"And you know for sure?" Asked Patricia.
"I think so. It is in Robert Frobisher-Smythe's manuscript," said Fabian.
"But how does Robert Frobisher-Smythe know for sure? I mean the Ankh was not whole then, when he took it from Egypt," said Aaron.
"Because he got that from the hieroglyphs on the stone," said Fabian.
"Shouldn't we just atleast try?" Suggested Nina.
"Nina, you want to open the Ankh and then release the curse of the Pharoah?" Asked Amber.
"I want to bring Tutankhamun and Amneris back together," said Nina.
"Nina I also want them reunited again, but I also don't want to be cursed by a Pharaoh," said Amber
"We need make a decision whether we open the Ankh or not," said Fabian.
Nobody in the club said anything.
"It's enough for tonight. Let's sleep on and tomorrow we'll make a decision," suggested Nina
"Good idea," said Fabian.
Fabian, Aaron, Patricia and Alfie got up and left Nina and Amber's room.
A few minutes later and Alfie was back in his own room, where Jerome was waiting for him.
"Where were you?" Asked Jerome.
"I was doing homework," lied Alfie.
"With that little club of yours?" Asked Jerome
"Yeah, but we're a homework club now," lied Alfie.
"Are you lying to me?" Asked Jerome.
"No," said Alfie.
"Then what were you doing?" Asked Jerome.
"What are married or something? Why do you want to know where I was and who I was with?" Asked Alfie.
"I'll bet that you were with the club to talk about the Ankh," said Jerome.
"No we didn't talk about the Ankh, because the Ankh has melted," lied Alfie
"What?" Said Jerome.
"Yes, the Ankh has melted bro," lied Alfie.
"How is that possible?" Asked Jerome.
"No idea. When Nina took the Ankh from the hiding place it had melted into a golden blob," lied Alfie
"So the Ankh no longer exists?" Asked Jerome
"Yes, there is no more a Cup of Ankh," lied Alfie.
Alfie picked up his toothbrush and left the room to brush his teeth. Now that Jerome thought the Ankh had melted, he began to get scared. How was he supposed to explain to the anonymous threatener that the Ankh has melted.
The next day. All the Anubis residents were up and were having breakfast. After breakfast, Joy, Otis, Fiona and Caitlin went to the garden with Trudy. The club went to Nina and Amber's room. Jerome went to his room. Mick and Mara stayed in the living room.
"So I called my dad to tell him that I want to go to that school," said Mick
"And?" Asked Mara.
"I can still go there," said Mick
"Mick that's great news," said Mara.
"Yes, that's great news indeed," said Mick.
"When are you going?" Asked Mara.
"I'm leaving on Tuesday," said Mick
"Tuesday?" Asked Mara.
"Yes," said Mick
"But that is so soon," said Mara.
"I know that," said Mick.
"But then we only have a very short time together," said Mara.
"But in the short time we've left we're gonna make the most of it," said Mick
"When are you going to tell the others?" Asked Mara.
"Tonight during supper", said Mick.
Mara was happy for Mick that he could go to that school, but she wasn't ready to say goodbye to him so soon.
In the meantime, the club was in Nina and Amber's room, the club would decide whether to open Ankh or not. The club did the Sibuna signature and started the meeting.
"We must determine whether we're going the open the Ankh or not, said Fabian.
"I think we shouldn't do it, because if we do the curse of Pharaoh will be released upon us," said Amber.
"And if we don't we can't find the secret wall. And if we don't find the wall, we can't find love's tomb and bring Tutankhamun and Amneris together," said Nina.
"I also think we should open the Ankh," said Patricia
"I think we should give it a try," said Aaron.
"And do you think Alfie?" Asked Amber
"Super Alfie ain't afraid of curses, so let's just do it," said Alfie.
"And as usual no-one listens to what Amber says," complained Amber.
"Amber, nothing can happen, because curses don't exist," said Fabian
"And you know that for sure?" Asked Amber.
"Yes, it has never been scientifically proven," said Fabian.
"You can't prove everything with science Fabian," said Amber.
"Okay stop this okay. We voted and it's five against one for opening the Ankh, so we're going to open the Ankh," said Nina.
"Well and when are we going to do that?" Asked Aaron.
"Around midnight in the girls' bathroom," said Nina.
While the club now had to come up with a plan to get the Ankh from its hiding place. Joy, Otis, Fiona and Caitlin were helping Trudy in the garden. Otis was mowing the grass, Trudy was hoeing, and Joy, Fiona, and Caitlin were cutting the hedge and planning a plan for Mr. Sweet and Ms. Delaney at the same time.
"How are we supposed to get those two together?" Asked Joy.
"Maybe we should just tell Mr. Sweet we know he likes Ms. Delaney," suggested Fiona.
"Do you really think that is a good idea?" Asked Joy.
"Perhaps? It also has to happen on its own, that two become a couple," said Fiona.
"Fiona is right about that," said Caitlin.
Bird watching," said Joy.
"Bird watching?" Asked Caitlin.
"Yeah, Ms. Delaney likes bird watching and Mr. Sweet probably knows all the Latin names of those birds," said Joy.
"Does it really have to be something with birds, I'm not a big fan of birds," said Caitlin.
"But it's not about you, it's about getting those two together," said Joy.
"So they both go bird watching. They also need to talk and not just about birds," said Caitlin.
"We'll figure something out for that," said Joy.
"What's is your plan?" Asked Caitlin.
"I don't know yet, but we'll think of something," said Joy.
The three girls started to come up with a plan and at the same time continue to renovate the garden.
Two hours later and the club moved into the living room, but stopped when they saw Victor leave his office. Victor went down the stairs and left the house.
"Where is Victor going?" Asked Patricia
"No idea," said Aaron.
"Hey but now that Victor is gone, we can get the Ankh," said Fabian.
"Good idea, let's do it quickly before he gets back," said Nina.
The club quickly went to the kitchen. While the rest of the club stood guard, Nina grabbed the Ankh from the secret passage. The club went upstairs together with the Ankh. Nina put the Ankh in the closet.
In the meantime, Victor had gone to the school. Victor was in his office with Mr. Sweet. Both men were dressed in their society cloaks.
"We're here to officially disband our the society," said Victor.
"Mysteria fides ac ius iurandum," said Mr. Sweet.
"Tacet enim erit super nos," said Victor.
"Tacet enim erit super nos," said Mr. Sweet.
"De derisor Anubis," said Victor.
"De derisor Anubis," said Mr. Sweet.
Victor poured some liquor into two glasses. Victor handed one of the glasses to Mr. Sweet and the two men toast and drank the liquor.
"Goodbye my friend," said Mr. Sweet.
"Goodbye Eric," said Victor.
Victor and Mr. Sweet shook hands and Victor left Mr. Sweet's office and headed back to the house.
A few hours later and the Anubis residents were sitting at the table for dinner.
"I've to tell you guys something," said Mick.
"What is it Mick?" Asked Fabian
"I've been accepted to Victoria Academy of Sports," said Mick.
"What is that?" Asked Amber.
"That school with a super fantastic sports program," said Mick
"Congratulations Mick," said Fabian.
"So that means you leave school and you also leave Anubis house?" Asked Caitlin.
"Yeah, so that means that I'll indeed leave the school and the house," said Mick
"But isn't that school in Australia?" Asked Otis.
"Yes that's right. I'm leaving for Australia," said Mick
"So you also move all the way to the other side of the world?" Asked Amber.
"Yes I'm," said Mick
"When do you leave for Australia?" Asked Fiona.
"I'm leaving on Tuesday," said Mick.
"So soon already?" Asked Joy
"Yeah, so this is my last weekend in Anubis house," said Mick.
Everyone was silent and some were even a bit saddened by the news from Mick.
After dinner Jerome was in his room. Jerome had his laptop in his lap and nervously waited for the anonymous threatener to contact him.
Anonymous: Do you have any news about the Ankh?
J-Meister: Yeah, but it's not good news.
Anonymous: What is it?
J-Meister: The Ankh has melted.
Anonymous: Who told you that?
J-Meister: I've a source.
Anonymous: Then that source of yours lied. The Cup of Ankh is indestructible.
J-Meister: Are you sure?
Anonymous: Yes. How could you be so stupid to fall for it!
J-Meister: And now what?
Anonymous: You are going to keep an eye on that so-called source of yours, as what he or she does you write down. And if you lead that to the Ankh then you take it.
J-Meister: Okay, I'll do it. But promise me you won't hurt my sister?
Anonymous: Give me the Ankh Jerome and nothing will happen to your sister.
The anonymous threatener disappeared from the chat. Jerome was bound to get hold of the Ankh and he was going to write down everything the club does.
A few hours later and the club was in the girls' bathroom with the Ankh. But Nina smelled something strange in Amber's bag.
"Amber what's in your bag? Your flamethrower?" Asked Nina.
"No, just mine cloves of garlic," said Amber.
Amber took cloves of garlic from her bag.
"Amber what's with the cloves of garlic? This isn't 'Twilight'," said Fabian.
"The bible says, always be prepared," said Amber.
"Amber, that's the boy scouts," said Fabian.
"And Amber garlic doesn't help against curses," said Alfie.
"And what's with the heels?" Asked Nina.
"These are my lucky heels," said Amber.
"So why aren't you wearing them?" Asked Nina.
"I can't actually run away in them. And if the curse of the Pharoah comes after me it wouldn't be handy if I wore heels," said Amber.
"Can we just focus and do this," said Aaron.
"Yeah, Aaron is right let's do this," said Patricia.
"Okay are you guys ready to open the Ankh?" Asked Fabian.
Everyone except form Amber nodded their head.
"Nina do you want to do it?" Asked Fabian.
"Okay I'll do it," said Nina.
"Just do what I say and everything will be okay," said Fabian.
Fabian told Nina how to hold the Ankh. Nina had the Ankh in her hands.
"Okay turn the top row of the puzzle box three turns to the left," said Fabian.
"Okay three turns to the left," said Nina, while she turned the top row of the puzzle box.
"Now the middle row 2 turns to the right," said Fabian.
"Okay I do that now," said Nina, while she turned the middle row of the puzzle box.
"And now the bottom row turns to the left," said Fabian.
Nina turned the bottom row four turns to the left and the club waited anxiously about what would happen. Will the club now be able to find the secret wall or will they release the curse of the Pharaoh?
