It's been a whole month ever since Butch and his son moved in with Buttercup . As time went by , the green ruff became more open to his counterpart since he found that they had a lot in common (such as their love for sports and spicy food) . Buttercup enjoyed their company as well , not to mention she always looked at Ben as her son , althought she never told Butch about that .

Right now , they were both sitting watching TV , then Buttercup's phone suddenly rung.

"Hello ?"

"Hey Buttercup, it's me ."

" Hey Bloss , What's up ?"

" I just wanted to tell you that the trial will be next week , they already contacted Elena and she will be present ."

" Ah okay so it will be next Thursday right ?"

"Yeah , tell Butch to get himself ready for this ."

"Okay , but what about Ben ? We can't leave him alone ."

" Don't worry, I already called Bubbles and told her everything, lucky for you , she's coming back to Townsville this weekend, she only has a few fashion stuff to deal with ."

"Oh that's good , thanks sis , I owe you one."

" No problem, see you next Thursday. "

When she hung up , she found Butch looking at her with a confused expression.

" Who was it ?"

"It was Blossom , she just told me that the trial will be next Thursday. "

Butch stayed quiet in deep thought thinkibg about the fact he will meet his ex-girlfriend soon.

" Who's going to stay with Ben? " He asked looking at Ben who was sitting right next to him on the couch playing with some toys Buttercup bought him

" Bubbles will be with him at the meantime , besides she's very good when it comes to children. "

The superpowered man nodded and sighed worried about what was going to happen once he sees her again.

Noticing his troubled expression, the green puff sat next to him and said :

" Hey , everything will be fine , Blossom is pretty good on her job , so I don't see any reason why you should be worried , you dork."

Butch scowled at the her , and responded in a sarcastic tone :

" Wow , thanks that was very reassuring ."

" I was just kidding. " Laughed Buttercup as she held Ben .

" Hey kiddo , now's time to go the bed ."

Ben pouted upon hearing this and looked like he was about to cry.

" Ben ..." Butch said " You have to go to bed ."

The child just kept pounting not wanting to obey , then Butch picked him up and started singing a lullaby much to Buttercup's shock , she never realized how beautiful he sounded but of couse would never say that at loud . Her train of thoughts were cut by Ben's snoring . Wait ..HE WAS ASLEEP ALREADY !!

A moment of silence took over before Butch cleared his throat .

" I'll go take Ben , good night. "

"Oh uh sure good night ."

It was today , the day of the trial , and right now , Buttercup was driving her car while Butch was sitting on the passenger seat , a few minutes later , they reached the court and found Blossom waving at them.

" So Butch, are you ready ?"

Butch nodded and the three of them entered the courtroom.

The judge was already there and annouced the beginning of the trial.

"Now let Elena Ferris enter the courtroom."

The gates suddenly opened , and a rich looking lady entered , everyone in the room looked at her except Butch.

Buttercup on the other hand was glaring at her , if looks could kill then Elena would have been dead by now .

" Elena Ferris , do you swear to tell the truth and only the truth ?"

" Yes I swear ." She answered the judge.

The judge looked around the courtroom before asking :

" Miss Ferris , Where's your lawyer ?"

" Oh don't worry my husband just happened to be a lawyer and he'll be coming soon ."

'Husband ?' thought Butch and Buttercup at the same time .

" Oh there he is ."

The two puffs and ruff turned their heads to the gates and their eyes widened , Elena's husband had long red hair , crimson eyes and was wearing a custome with a red tie , and a red cap on his head.

Upon seeing him the three super adults exclaimed :

" BRICK ?!!"
