Chapter Six
Leroy Jethro Gibbs screamed out as the serum in his bloodstream had been making him on fire. There was nothing he could do with the situation. He was giving him information trying to hold back.
Riveria held his head up seeing that his eyes were glassy-eyed for the moment. Even though he had no idea whether the truth was true coming from the agent of many years for NCIS.
When he had the chance to shoot him in Mexico. He just was too weak at that time with not pulling the trigger to blow out his brains. But now many years later after escaping from prison with help from the ex-secretary of Defense Wynn Crawford.
It was easy to escape with help from the guards inside the prison under the nose of the manager of the Danville prison.
"I do hope Gibbs you're telling the truth. Or else you're a dead man?" he spits out at him as Gibbs began to laugh at him.
"You stupid fool I wasn't telling you the truth?" he commented with further laughing at the jackass.
The look on Riveria was one of pure anger while grabbing his knife from his coat pocket to prove a point on just who has the most guts.
"Go ahead and do it Alejandro by slicing me to pieces? I don't think that you have the damn guts to do it. Just like you didn't have the guts back in Mexico many years ago." he says with seeing the blade in front of his eyes.
"Oh, really Gibbs!" He stabbed Leroy Jethro Gibbs into the stomach pulling out the blade as Gibbs screams out from the pain of the knife that was inside his gut. He passed out.
Alejandro Riveria dropped the knife as he heard something in the other room. Telling him that NCIS had arrived finally.
Nicholas Torres broke down the door with REACT Members firing at Riveria and the others in the room with seeing Special Agent Gibbs having been stabbed.
McGee and Lt. Brown needed to try and get Gibbs down by trying to be careful as possible. "Call 911 right away," Tim said as Katrina Law was placing cuffs on one of the Cartel members while looking back to see Gibbs on the ground with Lt. Brown holding a cloth up against his wound with the blood seeping through his fingers.
"Someone needs to contact Director Vance that we were able to find Gibbs?" McGee said to his team. While Katrina and the React team moved out the three to their truck to bring them back to the processing at NCIS and interrogation in the morning.
It was going to be Nicolas Torres pulling out his cell phone to call Director Leon Vance having left his office to head home awaiting word on the condition of his Special Agent Gibbs.
He had just gotten into his house when his cell phone was going off. "Damn!" he said to himself with answering his phone.
"Torres what's the word on the location of Gibbs?" he said with his anxious demeanor.
"We found him down inside the Mission district sir. However too late to find Gibbs stabbed by Riveria into his stomach. The ambulance had arrived sir and will be taking Gibbs to the hospital."
"Tell me that Riveria is still alive?" Vance said with annoyance with his cocky demeanor.
"Dead. I killed him just after he stabbed Gibbs..."
"Great! That bastard needed to be killed years ago by Gibbs Nick!" he cried. Are you heading for the hospital?"
"No sir. Metro police are here needing answers as to what has been going on with why Gibbs was taken in the first place. From what I understand is the fact that Gibbs and Marcie were on the way to her house to pack in order to stay with him. While searching for Alejandro Riveria and his associates for the local Cartel."
"He didn't mention any of this to me on what he planned on doing?" Vance was lividly talking to Nick over the phone.
"I don't know sir. You will have to ask him when he's awake after getting out of surgery." Nick said.
"Very well go to the hospital when you and the rest of the team gets the chance," he ordered. "However I do wish to talk with the React leader Katrina Law I wish to see her here as soon as possible. Understand?
"I will tell her when she is done talking with Metro and now the F.B.I. has arrived onto the scene." he cried out with Vance asking the following...
"Who?" he replied with the tension in his body was building further.
"Special Agent Tobias Fornell of the local regional office of the F.B.I., do you want him to call you as well?"
"Yes." he hung up the phone to be shaking his head.
Special Agent Nicholas Torres was able to catch up with React commander Katrina Law to give her the official order from Vance.
"I will be leaving in a few moments Nick. I was able to give my statement to Metro police." She had to say with the shake of the head.
Meanwhile, Tobias Fornell was calling the hospital to find out about his friend's condition after the stabbing by Alejandro Riveria. After hanging up the phone Nicholas Torres came over to him as Fornell was angry that his friend was still in surgery.
"How is he Special Agent Fornell?" Nick asks the importance of the question.
"Still in surgery in critical condition with the doctors are working hard to repair the knife damage to his stomach. By the way, I heard you talking to Director Leon Vance? Does he want me to call him when I have further information?"
"Yeah, he does Fornell and he's not all too pleased that Special Agent Gibbs wasn't keeping him in the loop since his suspension?" Nick said.
"And why should he after sacking Jethro with the suspension?" Tobias was hot under the collar.
