Moments before Akko saved Roszen, she was climbing down from her cell which was hit by a stray blast. Her mother did try to stop her but she was too weak to even stand.

Akko's arms and legs trembled as she got closer, she was breathing heavy, and tears were threatening to spill. "I can't stop now; I need to help her..." Just as she reached the actual floor, she saw Roszen get tossed into the wall after a shockwave attack. Akko jumped down and rushed to Roszen. Bogon's attack would be finished when she reached her so Akko did the only thing she could: she pushed Roszen out of the way.

The look of shock and fear on Roszen's face was clear as day. "AKKO!" she screamed out.

Akko just smiled and gave her a wink. "You saved me... it's only fair that I save you..." was all she thought as she was knocked into the wall with a devastating crash.

Roszen heard Akko scream; she heard the two demons laughing at Akko's death. "I couldn't protect mum..." Her fists balled up. "I couldn't protect her..." She clenched her teeth. "I can't protect shit!" Her body shook. "Shut up..." Tears fell down her cheeks.

"What was that, twerp?" Bambietta put a hand over her ear.

Roszen's body resonated red demonic energy. "Shut. Up." Her eyes locked with the goblin's. "If I can't protect them..." Her hand made a grabbing motion in the air. "I'll avenge them..." She summoned a great-sword made of pure red energy. Lifting it high in the air, she swung down with tremendous force, releasing an energy wave that flew and hit Bogon, nearly slicing him in two.

"B-Bogon!" Bambietta stuttered, trembling at what she saw. "W-What the hell happened?! She was near death's door just a moment ago!"

Roszen saw her prey still squirming. She lifted her blade again and let out a roar as she swung. She swung her weapon several more times, the roar changing into a cry of frustration, tears streaming faster down her face with each swing. She was about to send another one before a hand grabbed her arm.

Looking at who it was, she saw Krex holding her arm. "Enough, my lady. The battle is won."

Roszen's sword dematerialized as more tears fell. She looked at where Akko was buried far into the wall. "There's no way she survived..." Roszen walked up to her body that was surprisingly intact. "Why am I hoping so much...?" She removed her glove and put her two fingers at Akko's neck. Dread and hopelessness filled quickly with each counting second of nothing.

Bump-dump.

"KREX, HELP ME GET HER OUT; SHE'S ALIVE!" Her pulse was faint, but it was there! Roszen didn't even wait for a response and just started digging. When they got Akko out, she wasn't breathing. Roszen immediately started performing CPR.

Roszen only needed to do two rounds before Akko started coughing. "Ow, why does my chest hurt so much?" She saw Roszen leaning over her, crying. "Why are you crying, Roszen?"

"You fucking idiot!" She pulled Akko into a near spine crushing hug. "Why did you do that!?" Akko looked to Krex for help, but he just lifted his hand up and shook his head no. "How was I going to tell your mother that you died, or if I didn't get a power boost out of nowhere, it would have been for not!?" She pushed Akko out of the hug. "You're lucky you're adorable or I'd skin you alive!"

Akko hung her head down. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to worry you so much..." Her head suddenly shot up with a face of determination. "But I couldn't just sit back and watch you die! I-I saw..." Her shoulders sagged as tears developed in her eyes.

"Saw what, child?" Krex asked.

"I saw Roszen dying... S-She was impaled by something... I just- I... I didn't want to lose my only friend since being here..."

"Krex?" Roszen looked to him for answers.

"My guess, Vurnomon's actually kept to his word. Just not in the way Miss Akko thought." He got closer and kneeled down to Akko. "Please hold still, Miss Akko." He put his hand on top of her. Dark silver energy came from his hand and washed over her body. After about a minute, he lifted his hand. "'tis what I feared. Our dearest Akko is now part demon."

"WHAT!?" Akko screamed. "I don't want to be a demon!" She curled into a ball and put her hands on top of her head. "They're evil and torture innocents..."

"Akko, I don't know if you noticed but I'm part demon." Roszen waved her tail in front of her. "Well, that explains how you survived. You have a healing factor, and your magical talent was affected too."

"I just don't want to be made fun of more than I already am for wanting to become a witch."

Roszen just patted her head as she stood up. Before she could say more, something caught her attention. Near what was left of Bogon and Bambietta, things around it started sparkling. Roszen looked to Krex and held her hand up. She cautiously approached, hoping nothing bad would happen.

She was about ten feet away when all of Bogon and Bambietta suddenly disappeared into a ball of light that slowly approached her. Roszen's eyes widened with shock and hurriedly reached out her hand. Once she grabbed hold of the orb, it changed into a giant shoulder mounted cannon.

It was dark blue with neon blue highlights running from one end to the other. "BB's W.M.D. system is active!" Bambietta's voice came from the weapon.

"Death and carnage to your enemies guaranteed!" Bogon's voice came through as well.

"Fuck yeah! My first proper Devil Arm!" Roszen shouted with glee. She pulled the cannon apart and it changed to twin mini-guns. She opened fire on the center of the room, then she twisted the handles and pushed them forward. The W.M.D. changed again into two micro missile launchers, firing a swarm of rockets at the center. She backfliped away from it and changed the weapon back to its cannon from, charging up a shot. The shot fired and ended in a mushroom cloud as she stood in front of her audience. "So what do you think?"

Krex applauded her while Akko had a look of pure shock. "Marvellous, my lady. Congratulations on your new achievement!"

"What was that?" Akko asked.

"My lady has achieved a new Devil Arm. Whenever a devil is defeated by a stronger devil by death or submission, they'll turn into a weapon that enhances its new user's power."

"Whoa..." she let out with stars in her eyes.

"I don't think this will be enough to defeat Vurnomon or his bodyguard however."

"As much as I hate to admit it, I don't think so either, hun," Bambietta's voice called out from the cannon.

Akko hid behind Krex while Roszen slammed the cannon down. "Shut it, you two are in a time out for what you did to Akko."

"Yes, ma'am..." Bogon said.

"Sorry..." Bambietta apologized.

"They can still talk?" Akko poked her head out from behind Krex's leg.

"Yes, most Devil Arms retain their sentience." Krex patted her head. "They can even change users if they deem another more worthy."

The floor suddenly shifted and started going back up. "Looks like the lockdown finally receded." Roszen looked around while the W.M.D. disappeared. "Come on, let's get Akko back to her mother. She's probably worried sick."

Akko's whole body sagged. "Oh man, I'm so dead..."
