I can't save you

Chapter sixth

Sitting down at the table after feeding Lucy with the scrapes from the diner. She was starving with the unborn child feeding off her. She started to dig into Rib eye steak smothered with onions and mushrooms, baked potato, salad with Italian dressing.

She needed to eat slowly even though she was feeling uncomfortable with the silence. So she had gotten up to turn on the tv with the remote. After what had happened earlier with shooting the C.I.A. agent.

She had been listening to the local news in regard to the shooting. Though the reporter didn't really say much as to why the agent was supposed to be inside the house in the first place. She had to take in a deep inhale of her lungs somewhat worried. Mostly for herself and for when it comes to Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

She had cut up another piece of the rib eye and steak while giving it to Lucy enjoying it a great deal. Even though she was missing her owner greatly. "No more for you, Lucy." she needed to feed herself.

After she was done eating and cleaning the dishes. She decided to check to make her rounds with her revolver just in case. She didn't wish to be caught off guard once again. However, after Gibbs had told her where the ammo, grenades, smoke bombs. She had gone down into Gibbs basement finding them for where had hidden them for her safely.

Once she was done. She went to sleep on the couch unable to sleep in the bedroom. This way she was going to be able to keep an eye out on Lucy in her bed. She had drifted off to sleep by placing the two blankets over her to stay warm.

ICU unit

Special Agent Gibbs was crying out in pain as he was suffering from the wound in his gut. It would seem that the pain medication needed to be upgraded once again.

He had pushed the button calling for a doctor or nurse. At the ICU nurse's station was Doctor Sanchez standing when the nurse told him that Gibbs was asking for help.

"I will take care of it, nurse," he said with grabbing the medical chart of his to take a look at the notes made.

He had walked down the hall to see what was on Gibb's mind. He had walked inside to see his patient in a lot of pain. "What's wrong Special Agent Gibbs?" he had to ask even though the pain was showing on his face.

"Pain in the gut doc. I feel like I am on fire for some reason?" he cries out thrashing on the bed all of a sudden with spasms.

He pushed the button on the wall. "Code blue room 1023 right now!" he cries out as he pulled out a syringe from his white lab coat in order to calm down the patient.

The crash cart arrived along with another doctor and nurses issuing orders to stop the thrashing by the patient. Medication was issued into the right arm, along with antibiotics and pain killers. Otherwise, it didn't take all that long before the spasms had stopped and Special Agent Gibbs was much calmer and including his heart rate and blood pressure.

"He will be alright now. Doctor Roman will you please stay I need to give you additional orders for the patient for the rest of the evening.

Meanwhile one of the local Cartel members entered the hospital dressed as one of the employees wearing an I.D. badge with the security officer letting the male up to the tenth floor.

Taking the elevator up to the ICU unit area. He had been assigned to take out Special Agent Gibbs. Singing in at the personnel office on the floor before heading to the locker to change into his uniform. He had noticed with a smirk on the young man's expression to be taking care of Special Agent Gibbs as a male nurse.

Checking his pockets with the drugs and rope. He was now ready to work the floor. Noticing that there weren't any security officers at his door. Having a tray of water and other essentials to clean up the patient.

He had checked the medical file on the side of the hospital bed. Checking the saline solution running into his arm. He added the drug from the syringe to be running into his bloodstream to be taken twenty minutes or more.

Afterward, he left to head for his next patient down the hall.

Meanwhile, Doctor Roman moments later came back in to check his vitals. When he heard a groan coming from Gibb's mouth. This didn't sound good to his ears. Taking out the light to check his eyes he noticed something was wrong.

Once again he called for Code Blue over the intercom. He needed to find out what the hell was wrong as the crash cart arrived and with the doctor issuing an order for drug poisoning. He asks the nurse to give him a serum in order to counteract whatever drug was given to Special Agent Gibbs.

Otherwise, Doctor Serum had taken a sample of his blood to have the nurse take it down to the lab for processing. But for now, Gibbs was much calmer and asleep. Security needed to be called in order to stay and watch his door for now until they had the answers. Director Leon Vance needed to be called to let him know that his agent even though on suspension was positioned.

The Cartel member had heard the Code Code coming from Gibbs room. He had known that he had done his job with killing the agent. He took the elevator down to the lobby while walking past the security guard having received the notice about someone trying to kill a patient up on the tenth floor.
