Maggie, Kristen, OA, Stuart and Tiffany were all sitting at their desks talking, they were all suppose to be doing paperwork but had easily been distracted by talking. Their topics weren't really that important, none of them were in the mood for the mountain of paperwork that they had sitting on their desks so when Kristen sat down to ask them if they had more guesses about who Jubal's girlfriend was they all got drawn in to the conversation pretty easily.
Maggie got distracted from the conversation when she got a text message, reading the message she got up leaving the conversation and headed to an empty conference room, it was easy to spot which one she was to head to as the blinds were closed. She stepped inside and closed the door behind her smiling when she felt two arms slide around her from behind.
"So this was the something urgent that you needed to talk about?" She chuckled softly as she leaned back against his chest, running her hand along his arms that were around her.
"You going to tell me that you were doing really important paperwork baby? Because I could see you all before I text you, I saw you five just sitting chatting." Jubal smirked as he placed small kisses to Maggie's neck.
"Well see one of our bosses is out at meetings all day and our other boss is suppose to be in here doing paperwork that he said was not to be interrupted unless it was an emergency." She had a playful smirk on her face as she lay the back of her head against his shoulder so that she could kiss his cheek.
"Needing to see my girlfriend is an emergency"
Maggie shook her head laughing "You know you some how still make cheesy sound cute Valentine."
"It's a skill I've been very thankful for lately." Jubal turned Maggie around in his arms to face him, his arms now wrapped around her waist resting on her lower back as he leaned down kissing her slowly but with so much love. They didn't normally take these risks at work, but Jubal had been so busy the last few days with Isobel trying to get so much paperwork done, he even had to take some of it home with him. He lay his forehead gently against Maggie's when they broke the kiss.
"As much as I do love kissing you and holding you, I do actually have something to talk to you about, Sam rang, she knows it's late notice but she want's to know if there's any chance we can take the kids this weekend? Something to do with last minute work stuff or something."
"Clearly you paid a lot of attention to the conversation" Maggie shook her head laughing softly "but of course we can take them this weekend babe, you know you don't have to ask me that. I love having the kids around."
Jubal smiled running his hands along Maggie's back slowly, he did love getting to watch Maggie with his kids as the three of them really had grown to love each other. "I know you love having them around baby, but we've hardly seen each other this week and we were planning to have the weekend to ourselves. So of course I wanted to check with you first."
"I love that you are checking with me and yes I have missed you a lot this week but they are your kids babe, they are always going to come first. So tell Sam we would love to have them this weekend, it will be fun just the four of us."
"You know that you are amazing right?" Jubal smiled as he leaned down kissing Maggie with so much love pulling her closer to him, he just couldn't resist it, not when she was being so amazing about his kids. Hearing her talk about his kids and watching her with them always made him fall a little bit more in love with Maggie. He was running his hands along Maggie's back slowly holding her as close to him as possible, Maggie's hands hand been running along his back just as slowly, one of her hands had made its way to the back of Jubal's neck just as the door to the conference room opened.
"Oh my god… I am so sorry" Kristen almost squealed out as she froze, her hand still on the door handle as Maggie and Jubal jumped apart at the shock. "I came to check Maggie was okay, she got a message on her phone and just disappeared, Ian said she came in here. So I just wanted to check she was okay.. I'm guessing she is… erm… yeah.. she's definitely okay." Kristen hadn't taken a breath while talking, she was looking everywhere but at Jubal and Maggie "I'm just gonna go, yep.. pretend I was never here.." Kristen stepped out of the conference room and closed the door behind her.
The minute that the door was closed Jubal couldn't help the laugh that escaped and he laughed harder when Maggie slapped his chest playfully "I'm sorry baby.. but I don't think I've ever seen Kristen so shocked."
Maggie groaned laying her forehead against Jubal's shoulder "That is definitely not how I wanted Kristen to find out about us dating. You know they were talking about your girlfriend right before you text me?."
"Well at least Kristen now knows who my girlfriend is, I mean there is no denying or doubting that after her catching us making out like two teenagers." Jubal smirked playfully.
"This is exactly how you wanted one of them to find out isn't it?" Maggie poked his chest with her finger playfully.
"I am definitely not complaining that one of them found out this way." He laughed when Maggie rolled her eyes at him. "You want me to go out there and tell Kris that what she saw wasn't real?."
Maggie shook her head "No. We had talked about telling them soon anyway babe, just going to be a slightly awkward conversation now with Kristen after her walking in on us. God I can't believe she walked in on us making out" she laughed softly laying her forehead against Jubal's chest.
Jubal wrapped his arms around Maggie kissing her head, he was happy that she didn't want to try and deny that they were together. "If it helps at all I don't think Kris will say anything to the others yet, I don't think Kris is going to be saying much to anyone the rest of the day." He kissed the top of Maggie's head laughing softly.
"So you're saying that we have shocked in her to silence?." Maggie lifted her head looking at Jubal.
"You saw her as she left here? Baby she couldn't even look at us." Jubal couldn't stop the smile or the laugh that escaped.
"See this is what happens when you get really sweet with me and talk to me about your kids, I just can't keep my hands to myself." Maggie smirked playfully.
"I really do owe those kids for getting their dad so many extra brownie points with you." He leaned down kissing Maggie softly but keeping it short and sweet this time.
"I guess it's time I go out there and face Kristen while you get to hide away in here with your paperwork." She was joking with him playfully.
"I can come out there with you if you want, I'm just not sure if that would actually help or make it more awkward." He chuckled softly.
"Babe I love you but I'm not sure how this could get any more awkward."
"The whole team could have walked in on us" he shrugged his shoulders gently.
"Okay that's true thank god Kristen decided to appear on her own. I'll go talk to her make sure that we haven't traumatised her for life." Maggie ran her hand along Jubal's arm squeezing his hand "Ring Sam and tell her we would love to have the kids this weekend and I'll see you in a little bit. Try not to get caught making out with any more of your agents" she smirked playfully.
"I'll ring her now baby, hopefully I'll be back out in the JOC soon as I'll need to leave in time to pick the kids up from school. Unless you are back in this room with me, we are safe I won't be making out with anyone" he chuckled softly.
Maggie shook her head laughing as she leaned up stealing one more kiss from Jubal before going back out towards her desk. When she got there OA had told her that Kristen and Stuart had gone to pick up some proper coffee. Maggie decided to work on her paperwork trying to distract herself, she had no idea how much time had passed until she saw Jubal sitting on the edge of her desk. She raised an eyebrow looking at him
"You know that my desk is not a chair?."
"Only free space to sit. So where is Kristen?."
"Her and I went for coffee, I brought us back coffee but she's been hiding in the JOC since we got back don't know what's going on with her she's been quiet since she went to find Maggie." Stuart was talking before Maggie could speak and Jubal would swear that he could see a slight blush on Maggie's cheek as she stared at her computer screen.
Kristen choose that moment to come walking towards their desks "Hey OA, I was checking…." Kristen froze when she saw Jubal sitting on the edge of Maggie's desk, to everyone else it was normal to see Jubal sitting there, but Kristen instantly remembered what she saw and stared at the floor.
"Was checking what?" OA raised an eyebrow confused as to why Kristen stopped talking.
Stuart had been watching Kristen and he looked from Jubal to Kristen and back to Jubal and Maggie "Okay what's going on? We have clearly missed something, Kristen froze when she saw you and now can't look at you."
Jubal shook his head laughing "Kristen saw something that made her a little… uncomfortable I guess."
"What you walk in on Jubal changing?" OA couldn't stop laughing as he said that.
"That actually would have been less embarrassing." Kristen mumbled as she looked at the ceiling and back to the floor.
Jubal laughed looking at Kristen "You really think you can keep avoiding looking at me when we work together?."
"Yeah. Easy, I can just stare at the ceiling or floor when you are around."
"Okay seriously someone explain what is going on." Stuart looked between them still so confused, they had never seen Kristen like this.
"Kristen caught me making out with my girlfriend." Jubal didn't glance at Maggie no matter how much he wanted to.
"I mean that's not really a big deal other than she now finally knows who your mystery girlfriend is." OA shrugged his shoulder still not sure why that would cause Kristen to act like this.
"Oh god can we please change the subject?. I've learnt my lesson, knock before entering a closed door where the blinds are closed." Kristen took a slow breath still staring at anywhere but Jubal and Maggie.
"Jubal what exactly were you and your girlfriend doing that Kristen is this uncomfortable?" Stuart couldn't help but tease their boss.
"Nothing, I was simply giving my girlfriend a kiss, it's no big deal. You know it's what couples do right?" Jubal found it easy to tease back just as playfully.
OA looked at Kristen "Okay Jubal is right you can't work together and keep not looking at him, at least make it less obvious by looking at the person next to him."
Kristen shook her head and blushed a little as that would mean looking at Maggie, Stuart looked at Maggie "Kristen went looking for you Maggie, so did you see what happened?."
Maggie took a deep breath and looked at Jubal before turning around to face the others her shoulder now beside Jubal's legs as he was still sitting on her desk "Erm I kinda saw what happened."
"Kinda? How do you kinda see Jubal making out with his girlfriend?" Stuart asked confused.
"No, I didn't see him making out with his girlfriend that would be impossible, I did however see and hear Kristen's reaction to it."
Jubal shook his head laughing when they still hadn't figured what Maggie had meant with her words, he was about to speak when he saw that Tiffany clicked what had happened and she shook her head looking at OA and Stuart.
"You two seriously haven't figured it out? Kristen went to find Maggie, instead finds Jubal making out with his girlfriend, Maggie saw Kristen's reaction but said it is impossible for her to see Jubal making out with his girlfriend. That can only mean one thing…" Tiffany looked at Maggie and Jubal "Am I right?"
Both Maggie and Jubal smiled nodding at Tiffany. Hearing Tiffany had Kristen finally looking at Jubal and Maggie in time to see them nodding at Tiffany as OA and Stuart were still trying to piece it all together. Kristen actually kept her focus on Jubal and Maggie.
"So what I saw wasn't just a one time thing? He wasn't cheating on his girlfriend?"
Maggie shook her head chuckling softly "No to both of those."
"Hey!" Jubal looked at Kristen raising an eyebrow playfully "I do not cheat and I do not go around making out with all my agents."
Stuart sat forward in his chair with his mouth almost open "Kristen caught…. You and… Maggie…."
Jubal shook his head laughing "Took you a little bit to get there Stuey."
"So you two are…."
"Dating? Yeah Stuey, you seem to have lost a few words there." Jubal couldn't shake the smile.
Maggie was nervous about how quiet OA was and she turned to face him "You being this quiet is freaking me out as much as Kristen in shock did."
"I'm just trying to go through things in my head to see how many signs I missed, I mean my partner and my boss are…." OA looked at Jubal and Maggie.
"Dating.." Jubal shook his head "Seriously I just came out here to ask my girlfriend if she would pick up my kids not to teach you and Stuart how to talk." He teased playfully.
Maggie turned her head a little to look at Jubal "You need me to pick up the kids up from school?"
"Yeah, I'm going to have to meet you all at home, I wanted to get finished up so that I can have the weekend completely free with you three."
Tiffany and Kristen were smiling watching and listening to Jubal and Maggie now that they knew about them, OA and Stuart were watching with still some shock. Kristen had now calmed down so had found her voice again.
"So the kids know about you two being together if you are happy for Maggie to go and collect them?."
Jubal nodded smiling "The kids have known from very early on, we honestly thought that you guys would have figured it out a while ago."
"How long?" OA was the one to ask this time.
"Almost eight months." Maggie smiled softly looking at OA.
"Eight months?" Stuart spoke a little too loudly which had Maggie, Jubal, OA, Kristen and Tiffany laughing. "Sorry, yeah that was kinda loud.. You don't need me being the one telling Isobel."
"Isobel has known for a few months, we disclosed just before I moved in with Maggie."
"You guys live together?" OA was surprised looking at them both when they nodded their heads "Okay I think we all need to go back on training for having missed this."
"Isobel did consider that a few weeks ago when you guys still hadn't noticed that we were coming in and going home together everyday." Jubal hadn't stopped smiling and he didn't want to.
Maggie checked the time on her phone "And as much fun as it is watching you four figure out what signs you missed I have two kids to go and pick up." She chuckled softly as she stood up grabbing her phone and keys.
"Okay I'm sorry that is going to take a while to get used to hearing you saying." OA shook his head laughing. "And yeah we are going to need to some time to process it all but we are happy for you both."
Jubal smiled standing up beside Maggie "Come on I'll walk you to the elevator, Abby will panic if you are late."
Maggie said bye to the team as she walked alongside Jubal, they walked closer now that the team knew, Jubal's hand resting on her lower back as Kristen, Stuart, Tiffany and OA all sat watching them with a smile wondering how the hell they had missed this.
