A GUIDE TO THE PROTECTORS
Percy Jackson, God of Heroes, Son of Poseidon, made the Protectors.
They work like the Hunters of Artemis.
All genders are allowed.
In the Protectors, there are seven groups.
Magic
Arrow
Blade
Healing
Fire
Woodland
Shadow
Each group has its own color. Magic is Purple. Arrow is Silver. Blade is Bronze. Healing is Gold. Fire is Dark Orange. Woodland is Green. Shadow is Black.
You wear a different color uniform depending on which group you're in.
Percy Jackson sorts you into groups. As he is the God of Heroes, he can tell where you belong.
Magic is for people who use magic.
Arrow is for people who use the bow.
Blade is for those who use a Sword, Knife, Spear, ect.
Healing is for the Healers.
Fire is for the constructors of Tools, Weapons, Magic Items, ect.
Woodland is for Nature Spirits, Satyrs, Demigods good with woodland elements, ect.
Shadow is for those good at stealth. Shadow people are good at lying, and most of the people sent in as double agents are from Shadow.
Every member of the Protectors takes an oath, giving them the same protection as the Hunters of Artemis.
After being put in a group, a circular tattoo magically appears on the back of their right hand.
In the inside of the circle, running along the top, is the name of your group in Greek. Running along the bottom is your rank in that group. In the center of the circle is the symbol of your godly parent. If you're a mortal or nature spirit, the symbol of the patron god of your group will be in the center of your tattoo.
PATRON GODS
Magic: Hecate=Torch. Silver handle, Green Flames.
Arrow: Artemis=Crescent Moon.
Blade: Ares=Spear
Healing: Apollo=Golden Arrow
Fire: Hephaestus=Flaming Hammer
Woodland: Demeter=Scythe
Shadow: Hades=Helm of Darkness
GROUP RANKS
You can be Leader, Lieutenant, Member, or Newbie.
If your rank changes, your tattoo is magically updated.
Only a Leader has the power to make a Newbie a Member.
This generally happens once a Newbie finishes training.
If a Lieutenant dies, the Leader selects a worthy Member to take their place after a three day mourning period.
During this period all people in the group are not sent on any missions.
GROUP LEADERS
All the group Leaders, and, occasionally, Lieutenants, help advise Percy.
Kind of like cabin leaders at Camp-Half-Blood, they go to meetings to come up with plans.
They help Percy decide which groups to send on which missions, and other important things.
