Author Notes: This chapter is when Joshua is introduced to a girl named Felixa, who plays a major role in his life. It's more of a setup for the next chapter and building up relationships.

The Name of the chapter is based on a song by the band, Busted. In the context of the song, it's about a student loving a teacher, and in the context of the cover later done by the Jonas Brothers, it's about a Freshman falling for a senior. In the context of this chapter, it's about a new student going to school to also learn about the assassin that tried to ruin his life and find out any connections he might have.

The name of the school is based on the song, Expectations", the debut solo single by American singer and songwriter Lauren Jauregui, released on October 24, 2018. It is a guitar-driven R&B song written by Jauregui and produced by Kid Harpoon, about an unresponsive relationship and the assumptions that people have and try to change about them.

Chapter 6: Overture-6-What I Go To School For

Next Morning

As Joan went in one direction to her job and Joshua went towards school, the mother gave one last look.

"Sorry that it didn't work out as we expected it to, but we managed to take care of one of the enemies. Don't worry, someone I know works at the school you're going to.," she said.

"How am I going to defend myself?' Joshua asked.

Joan then smiled.

"When you find a friend, they're the ones who make up for what you lack.," she said.

Joshua turned around and walked to school.

"That son of a witch. She staged the whole thing for publicity to make Lord Justiz seem like a bad guy.," said a nearby person of no importance.

Joshua sneered and then continued on his way.

Those guys said they'd go after someone named DIO and some others..., I wonder if we'll meet again..., thought the bespectacled boy.

Expectations Academy

Around the 2500s, education in England had reached a dilemma- several competitions between different academies reached into near-nation-wide conflict until a resolution was reached when they decided to combine preschool, kindergarten, elementary, middle, high, college, and university level schools into one, unified system called Expectations. It allowed for students of all backgrounds to attend on a mandatory basis, whether it be through the internet or in person. Recently, they've allowed non-humans and machines and it hasn't led to any controversies after a certain team managed to silence the critics.

However, since Justiz's reign began- more nepotism rather than genuine work, caused a schism between the upper and lower classes...

Present Day

Joshua arrived at a pearly white, square campus that stretched several streets wide to encompass all grade levels with his particular section being elementary.

"Here we go...," said the boy as the doors automatically opened.

He then saw a trio of green-haired boys, wearing orange-striped shirts, brown shoes, and brown overalls- picking on a white-haired girl with pale skin, wearing light indigo stitched attire with bluish-gray puffs on her lower legs, arms, waist, the bottom of her midriff exposing top and collar. She wore a hairband with snowflake-like ornaments and blue-tinted lens glasses.

All of her attire seemed to be hand-made and of barely manageable quality- someone of the lower class.

He clenched his fist as he began to walk away as the girl was beaten on the ground.

I have to get to class. I don't know how those computer things work, but I'll eventually get the data on D-Flag and whoever's associated with him-, thought the boy.

"Take it back.," said the lighter-green, mushroom-haired boy that was shorter than the others.

"The Spin is powerful..., but its resources are inherently impure...We have to find the combination of Eden's Fruit and the Forbidden Legume. It may set us back several centuries, but if we don't do anything. We'll be destroyed...," said the girl in a low mutter.

"I can't hear you. Say it louder.," said the mushroom-haired boy.

Damn, I never had a dream of using it. What's the point if I can't use it. I'll just be a hindrance., thought Joshua.

"We have to change our system...at the very least, put someone in charge that knows what they're doing.," said the girl in a louder voice with fierce determination in her opaque blue eyes.

"You brought this on yourself for your treason.," said the rotund, dark-green, grass-like, spiked-haired boy with two large buckteeth.

Suddenly, as the mushroom boy struck to punch the girl, Joshua got in the way of the boy's punch, who froze in time.

"Who's the kid?" asked the taller boy with mid-green, broccoli-shaped hair.

"We're all kids here. I'm Joshua Joestar. I also think Justiz is an idiot who doesn't know what he's doing.," said the bespectacled boy.

"Why you!" shouted the mushroom-haired boy as he readied another punch.

"Stop it.," said a deep, melodic voice from the other side of the hall.

The trio turned to see a man in a pink shirt with a dove holding a rose in its clutches, grey short-shorts, and sneakers with the peace symbol on the sides. He wore his short brown hair in a peace-symbol-shaped buzzcut with a peace symbol-shaped buzzcut goatee. His gray eyes looked at Joshua with slight contempt before fading away.

"It's not cool. Not cool at all to fight on school grounds. Or at all. Fighting is a sin to never participate in.," said the man.

"Coach Ono Plasti. The Stand stopper! He's a real, mean detention miser! You'll be in the slammer for doing the slightest thing to disrupt the peace." shouted the broccoli-haired boy nervously.

Ono then thought back on the events just earlier...

Back In the Secret Lab...

"Listen, Plasti. Get that brat who killed D-Flag in detention. And slip him the poison while he's distracted.," said Justiz as he was freed from his predicament by his Stand.

"Where are those disgraceful cretins?" asked Ono.

"They went off to do their own thing. They'll take care of the Joestars summoned by that woman. That's good enough. Taking care of her son will make her unstable and easier to take out. You want to avenge D-Flag correct? Then do your job?' commanded the lavender-haired man.

"Sir!' Ono replied with a salute.

Present

This brat defeated my son. Unforgivable!, thought Ono as he clenched his fist.

"Your neck...it looks a little pressed in. Were you in a fight? I assume it was in self-defense.," Joshua said as he noticed the man.

Ono's forehead produced angry veins as he said-

"Give Peace A Chance.," said the man as a pink peace symbol appeared on the floor- opening gray eyes with sparkles within them.

Joshua suddenly felt compelled to fall to his knees as did the other students as everyone else went to their rooms.

"You bring catastrophe by being here. You must be disciplined-," Ono said before Joshua spoke up.

"Smothers...? Does that name mean anything?" Joshua inquired, which made the buzzcut-haired man even more infuriated.

"Knock it off. The first day of school and you're causing a ruckus. You take it outside or take it to the office to talk this out. Otherwise, back off.," said a stern voice from a woman, walking down the hall.

Joshua turned to see a tall woman wearing a business suit unbuttoned towards the bottom to reveal her midriff, golden buttons lined the sides of the sleeves, coat, shoes, and pantlegs. She had long black hair tied with a golden, pen-shaped ornament and piercing magenta-purple eyes from her red-rimmed, square glasses.

"Vice Principal, Linken Park.," Ono apologized as he bowed in shock.

"I see the Floyds as the aggressors in this situation- the other kids didn't do anything wrong.," said the woman.

"But, they said Mr. Justiz was-," said the P.E. teacher before Linken cut him off.

"Everyone has a right to voice their opinion. It's acting on it that I won't tolerate without permission.," replied Linken, making Ono skirt away in apprehension, deactivating his Stand, and going into his office.

The Floyds all raced to class before she could punish them.

Linken then looked at Joshua with an intense glare and...gushed adorably as she hugged him.

"Joshie! Joshie! I'm so happy you're finally at school!" said the woman as she tightly embraced him to his bewilderment.

"I was told by my mom that someone would be able to back me up. I assume that's you.," said the boy.

"Come to me if you need anything.," said the woman as she walked away with a smirk.

Joshua was suitably confused before turning to the white-haired girl.

"You should go to the nurse's office wherever that is. I deal with jerks who run their mouths not knowing what they're talking about all the time.," said the boy as he turned away.

"I'm Joshua Joestat by the way. Though you already heard it.," said the boy as he gave a breath glance.

"I'm Felixa Bernard. What I said wasn't wrong- the output of Spin is going beyond what's necessary- as if he's playing to use it to create something bad...or maybe bring something bad inside the world from somewhere else.," said the girl.

"Like Martians. Maybe he wants to anal probe them for better milk!" she added oddly to Joshua's confusion.

Joshua sighed as he turned around again.

That's an interesting theory. However, I now know that that the short-shorts jackass is connected with D-Flag. Better find a way to get him to spill whatever he knows., he thought before noticing a pink, heart-shaped object on the ceiling to his bewilderment.

It released a strand of pink string that wove over Joshua and Felixa's right pinkies before vanishing.

"What was that?" Joshua asked.

"That must've been Best of Love Emotions. It's one of the several powers of a certain someone that essentially ended divorces. It's the red string of fate- it's a promise of betrothal-...hey...why you do you have several strings?" Felixa both explained and inquired as she noticed Joshua's pinkie had several more strings attached to currently unknown parties.

"Oh No!," Joshua shouted in surprise.
