6. Chapter 6

Troy

Over the last two days thousands on engineers working around the clock had completed phase one of Troy's upgrades. The twelve space stations of Able-1 through Beta-6 had completed modifications. Thanks to the continued operation of not only planetary mines but also asteroid mines throughout the sector already the skeletal superstructures of two Vengeance class Gunstars, two Medusa Class Heavy Cruisers and a Odin Class Fleet Carrier leaving Beta-6 to build Vipers and Raptors. For the ships it would take around three to five months in that time over two hundred vipers or raptors would be built as well.

The eleven space stations of Dogma-1-Gamma-5 modifications were complete housing nearly fifteen thousand people with Gamma-6 now housing a massive farmland ten decks flooded with fertile soil and artificial sunlight. Crops harvested right out of the ground of Leonis seed stocks planted. Five more was loaded with cattle, pigs, and chickens. The last two decks were flooded with water and stocked with thousands of fish.

Battlecruiser Revenge

"Set condition two throughout the fleet." Colonial Alliance Fleet Admiral John Burke instructed. As the cylon raider scout jumped again they had been coming in staggered hours for the last day. Guess the toasters want to make us think they are making sure we stay put so they jump a raider in every four to five hours.

Looking around the CIC of this monster seeing faces and uniforms from Colonial, Virgon and Leonis forces brought home just how big the Battlecruiser was. The heavy missile cruiser Khryselakatos, Zephyr Class light cruiser Gladius, and the Monarch class heavy cruiser Majesty as well as survivors of Prometheus and the scrapped destroyer and the had all been diverted to training new recruits.

With the last raider scout gone now they could finish the upcoming raid simultaneous assaults on Virgon and Leonis. Estimates were that hundreds of millions died when the cylons started bombing cities and military bases across the planets. Little did the cylons know every depo was empty every base was filled with decoys to make them think they were fully staffed. Where in reality they had been emptied into the hills filling caves and tunnels all over the planet tens of thousands of military personnel had remained behind to get civilians out. They would attack the moment the fleet returned.

What was underway now was three task forces to gather as much intel, hardware and people as they could.

The first: every raptor available to Leonis, Virgon and colonial forces would be participating well over two hundred raptors were fueling up they would be checking every fleet Rendezvous point and deep space station to gather all the survivors they could find, and bring them in.

Second was a group of six subtask forces built around a dozen bulk freighters escorted by half that number of destroyers and frigates were preparing to jump to locations of battles for SAR and salvage missions. There could be thousands of colonial servicemen and women trapped aboard wreaks or drifting in vipers and raptors left disabled. The people slowly starving or suffocating as their life support runs out after ninety six hours. And it's always faster to salvage intact weapons, engines and other ship systems then to build not only the equipment but the machinery to build the equipment.

But the majority of the fleet would remain at troy protecting the planet and the millions of civilians.
