At Night at Masa's place…

Masa twitched as he tossed and turned in his sleep.

The man tossed and turned as his slumber was one filled with fitful nightmares and a premonition of what was soon coming. He muttered a bit in his sleep as if he were talking to someone in his sleep, someone he knew very well. His eyes were tightly shut as he shivered in fright of the nightmares that plagued his very mind.

Masa then opened his eyes to another place before.

Masa had returned to the field once more, but instead of it being cheery and happy, it was covered in the rain as the dark clouds swirled about in a forewarning manner. The darkness clouded the area in a terrifying manner as Masa was drench in the rain. He then realized he was never in the field back in the place, he had returned to the jungle, where it all started.

Where he learned the true meaning of fear.

Before him, stood a ghost from his past, a life before the Seto Gang.

"It's you. Why are we here? I thought this was all behind me a long time ago." Masa wondered as he felt a shiver up his spine.

"No matter how much we want to let go, our past will always catch and now this part of our lives has come back to haunt us." Shiranui Aniue warned his other self as a pair of red eyes lurked behind them in a threatening manner.

"I know, Nagasumi's father is really a Beastfolk, though I could not believe if it were not for the overwhelming evidence," Masa muttered under his breath as the image of Nagasumi's wimpy and pathetic father stood before him as he touched Nagasumi's shoulders.

The human then shook his head solemnly as he and his son disappeared into dust.

"The danger is closer than you it appears." The ghost warned the warrior of the sea as a giant paw slammed beside them!

Then another one slammed forward as Masa heard breathing so heavy it nearly caused him to call over. He used every ounce of strength to prevent himself from collapsing from the massive power of the Beastfolk! He was paralyzed as the beast stood before him, ready to devour the Merfolk where he stood!

"Good luck and be ready for what it is to come." The ghost of his past warned as he himself disappeared, melted with the rain.

The beast then opened its jaws and pounced!

Masa woke up, gasping for air as he was drenched in sweat from the nightmare. He looked around to see he was back home again and took a moment to calm down. He then went to the kitchen to get some water, pondering what his other self, wished to warn him about the danger coming. He said that the danger was closer than what he expected, but he could not understand what he meant. Nagasumi's father must be the Beastfolk, there was too much evidence to say otherwise. Maybe… Maybe he was missing something.

His phone rang again.
