After having Daring kicked out of the party, Apple was pulled into a side room by her mother once she found out.
"How could you kick Daring out?" asked Queen Snow White. Briar Beauty was also in the room as she and Apple were talking beforehand.
"You know that I won't stand for someone making fun of one of my friends, no matter who they are," said Apple who was standing with her arms crossed as she looked right into her mother's eyes.
"I admit that what he said was not needed, but you just met Raven and Hunter, and you're to marry Daring!" said Queen Snow White.
"Which is something you and his parents decided on before we were even born!" said Apple with enough anger to surprise the other two.
"Besides, I've never liked Daring or any boy for that matter, mother, because I'm gay!" said Apple. A silent tension then filled the room along with a quiet pause before being broken by laughter coming from Briar.
"I can't believe you actually just admitted it," said Briar through her laughter.
"You knew about this?" asked Queen Snow White as she looked over at the daughter of Sleeping Beauty with a shocked expression.
"Apple is my BFFA, she's even the one who talked me into asking Faybelle Thorn out, so of course I knew," said Briar after regaining her composer.
"Well… is there a girl you like then?" asked Queen Snow White while turning her attention back to her daughter and not no what else to say.
"There is, but I'm not ready to say who it…," said Apple before Briar cut in.
"She's a Queen that is Apple's age and you have been helping out ever since she took the throne," she said. This time Apple joined her mother in staring at the other girl with a shocked expression.
"You like Queen Raven?" asked Queen Snow White as she turned back to her daughter with even more shock than before.
"Yes, I fell for her at first sight when she came to ask you for help shortly after she became Queen," said Apple who was as bright red as her namesake.
"I didn't even know you two met back then," said Queen Snow White.
"We passed each other in the hall with a quick hello to each other, but I fell for her right then and there, and I don't even know why," said Apple.
"That's love for you though," said Briar.
